Should be reverted back to 5 second stun. Then they should have an incapacitated state for killers where they cant use their powers for a few seconds tbh. To prevent high tier killers to quickly down them again.

Yeah first time that a killer got no lobby backround.
I also wish we got the Good Guy factory as a map, that would've made the experience versing him even more amazing.
Yea. Or even like add good guy boxes or make the game map have some connection to it like they did shelter woods for SM. But that would have license issues tho.

Did Pinhead have a lobby? I don’t remember
He actually did. Even though it was not a drastic change. He had an abandoned building in the background of the forest.

Bingo. Different perks have different purposes. Some are designed to be genuinely useful, others are made to either allow new playstyles or do something different. No Mither definitely falls in the latter category. It gives you a consistent way to activate perks that require you to be injured, or just allows you to run it on its own to make the game harder on yourself. Will it improve your chances of survival? Unlikely. But it does bring variety to the table.
At this point, there's 246 perks in the game (131 for Survivors alone). If you're looking for more useful perks, you can definitely find four that are more your cup of tea. But we also like to make sure there's some options available for people who want to mix things up.
Ah. I remember like it was like yesterday when I would slap no mither with mft......but yall had to take that away from me. Lol
-
You don't have to use it with exhaustion perks. If you like to be altruistic or hate being tunneled, it works well. I personally like to use it and risk a health state when I'm about to pick up someone who's almost recovered on the floor then take a hit again for them to get haste.

If you're doing more Twitch drops then I hope you update them to work on Switch. Because I'd like to remind everyone that the Halloween Twitch drops were completely unavailable for Switch players to earn.
Oh yea.....welp. Thats sucks. Cause as a switch player myself, they definitely gonna forget about us again and keep it moving. Sigh....im so used to that. Its pretty sad.

I think this might have to do with the Lyras being quite more popular than Gabriel... but I agree with you! I really want more cosmetics for Gabriel, especially since he didn't receive any rare outfits on release, and his basic recolors are not distinct enough.
Gabriel is precious and deserves it 😔
Yea. But im also shocked that Skull Merchant is getting alot when so many disliked her and rarely played her before her rework. But after her rework her playrate did go up tho. Maybe its like trickster thing. Human killers are just easier to get skins. Legion also
-
I mean. We only have what. 2 black male survivors. Well, whatever gabriel is. He may be mixed with so many others. But Adam is pretty cool and have some cool cosmetics that I would definitely wear as a black man. But I do agree tho! That we need more black characters in dbd.
-
I believe hiding in a locker prevents it from making u the obsession. I dont know for sure when its 4 survivors. But i know for sure when it was just me and another person, it didnt change the obsession to me when i hid in locker while the obsession got hooked.
-
Shouldnt be too surprising. Even with new characters, they leave them to rot in the skin departments when it comes to variety.
-
Honestly. He looks cool imo. He's like a younger version of bill. But thats if you like bill tho. His down screams are really good. Not overly dramatic. His hook screams are bland tho i will say. But once again, its not over the top like most survivors hook screams. But you honestly do get used to hook screams from everyone if u hear it alot.
Overall, i like him. But i do expect not many to play him tho because renato mains play him for his movement, small body size etc. And tubarao is vastly different from renato. They shouldve let someone like david or bill to have that legendary. At least a survivor who's playerbase are similar in terms of favoring those types of characters
-
Aw. Well. They got us with mft. So it was only a matter of time for killers as well hun.
-
And they wanted us to vote for them for the Labor of Love award......yea. sure.
-
I agree. But that takes time and effort. Something they dont have unfortunately.
-
@jayoshi said:
They really dropped the ball on this one. At minimum it should have launched with base killers and survivors for free. The fact you have to buy a cosmetic to get it is an awful idea. It should be tied to achievements and events for free. Then have banners and icons in the rift instead of some of these 2D looking charms.
Now at launch the few people who have a banner and icon are of Chucky only. Didn't one of the devs during the stream say that players want to be able to express themselves as unique individuals? Can't do that when everyone is Chucky until the bone chill event and then everyone is winter or Chucky until the next cosmetic tied banner and icon. Very poorly implemented!
Would be nice if at p10, 11, and 12 you get the perk icon and banner like you get a charm of them at P7,8, and 9. I was really looking forward to banners now it's a big disappointment :(
Definitely agree with this. But we all know that takes time and effort. Which is something they dont have when it comes free of charge unfortunately.
-
We shouldn't be surprised. We couldnt even get p100 badges or banners even tho its been over a year since prestige update.
Like it really takes them a bit too long to come out with anything new upon release. Including new skins for new characters. If it aint making them money, then it will be on the last priority of their list.
-
What are we gonna do about rapid brutality + stbfl?
What are we gonna do about noed+no way out?

I've heard many people say Jonah is a "war criminal", and it sucks every time I hear it. I read his lore, all he did was break codes. He didn't know the codes were fake/decoy. Nowhere have I found it mentioning that it was him who ordered the awful things. And with logic, one could conclude that it were his higher ups that did it, the people who put him on and off cases. He had no motivation or authorities to do it.
Sadly, people just parrot the lies and don't bother doing their own research. :/ I guess hating is how people deal with stress, I dunno...
I would really love it if BHVR would make a tweet about this, debunking the lies. He's such a fine character in my opinion. He needs more love ☺️
At least he's been getting beautiful cosmetics, I appreciate that.
Personally, all I can say for you is to just ignore those type of ppl and continue playing a character you enjoy. People are going to bash any character in thus game. Regardless if they are popular or not which is unfortunate.
I agree that he is a misunderstood character. And that's due to the fact people don't care to read and understand the plot of dbd lore in general. And it's possible it's simply due to the fact that he is just a man. Even certain female survivors that are morally grey like him are exempt on that side of the community. Which isnt surprising
-
@UnusedAccount said:
If BHVR ever deleted Jonah, I doubt anyone would care. He was a disaster of a character before the change in voice actor and I can see why they changed their mind making him the gay rep.
Im sure that was just speculation after ppl saw his cozy break outfit that made him seem to be gay. Even ppl thought yun jin was speculated to be lgbt when she was teased.
-
Well, i hope this 3 gen situation does get some relief. And tbh, im noticing it more on smaller maps where gens spawns are rough. And with them reworking more maps to be much smaller, its making the situation worse.
-
All i can say is according to the devs, tunneling is a strategy of the game. So they basically support it. Some killers do it later, others do it right at 5 gens.
And honestly, it got to the point where i accepted that they wont do anything about it. Which is why i just equip otr and ds mainly on my build. I feel really bad for the ppl who get turned off by tunneling, myself included, and dont even want to play the game anymore afterwards. So i just move on tbh

unpopular opinion: the changes to MFT just made the perk even more powerful for survivors on higher MMR and the deep wound change will just encourage people to run endurance addons on their medkits 24/7 and bodyblock with OTR.
Yup. Because im definitely only will put mft with otr and ds builf. So these killers gonna have a much harder time tunneling me.
However, i cant say the same for others tho. Ppl just use mft for the speed. I always preferred the endurance part and used it altruistically.

How is a person MORE successful at tunneling someone when they have no perks to aid them at any aspect?
Because they want gens to get done. Thats the point of the build. If they managed to get a 4k before endgame, its still an ez win. And if they do get a 1k before endgame which is not hard to do against solo q players, it will be that much easier to get a 4k from your endgame build. Even if u have to slug to do so.

How does endgame perks have ANYTHING to do with tunneling? How are those 2 things tied together at all? Honest question, cuz I'm not seeing a connection except with Remember Me maybe since it doesn't affect the obsession.
Its literally a common strat among endgame killer builds. Im surprised ur just finding this out. It literally makes 3v1 very difficult for survivors if they even make it to endgame. Some killer streamers even do it now.
-
How can you call something "Main Event" if its so easy to get. Doesnt seem so main to me. Lol
-
Listen. Endgame perks are a dangerous game as it is. Tunneling is already a huge discussion here. And most killers who run only endgame perks tend to do just that. Its an ez strategy tbh. I dont blame them. But i dont see introducing more endgame perks helpful for this community if its going to cause even more commontion on tunneling.

It has nothing to with not caring about someone else's experience or being motivated to ruin someone else's experience. The kind of mindset that thinks like this... is the real problem.
Its entirely possible to tunnel, camp, slug, blind, BM, stun, bleed out etc. and be competitively as "mean" as possible in a game and still be a completely amicable thoughtful caring likeable person in real life.
That's why these things are called games they are parody's of life not life itself. The inability of players to separate their game experience from a real world experience is what leads to a lot of toxicity. Your concept that gameplay is somehow linked to human decency is a great example of this.
There is an old table top gaming saying "if you are gonna dice rage, you shouldn't play games with dice." and its very true.
So we have a bunch of people who dice rage... does that mean we ban dice from a game? No that would be silly.
Remember in something as trivial as a game its not what happens to you that matters its how you react to it. If you react poorly to established game elements then maybe that game isn't for you.
There are plenty of online games where you can't be eliminated early or even at all and you just respawn endlessly and winners are calculated by score tally at game end. But then there are games where you can be taken out, sometimes early, sometimes harshly.
Should all games be one or the other or should players recognize when they find one style unfun and look for an alternative?
My apologies. Not reading all that. But yes it's a problem otherwise this "us vs them" mentality wouldn't be a topic for discussion for this long. Yet here we still are.
-
@Crowman said:

Survivors are playing an elimination game. It's not ruining your experience for the killer to eliminate you first.
Being elimimated first isnt the issue nor the problem. You know what tunneling is, so i dont really have to be more clear on it.

You raise fair point. But ask yourself why is it frustrating? Its just gameplay. If people find gameplay elements frustrating maybe DBD isn't for them. A game that involves an early elimination is still mechanically identical to a game of DBD where there isn't an early elimination.
Is it the perception of increased difficulty, the thought they won't earn as many BP's (A completely free and infinite currency that is passively earned simply by playing). A hyperfocus on game outcome over gameplay?
We aren't talking about a broken mechanic here, we are talking about the killers ability to choose whom to chase. The mechanics of a chase are the same whether you are being "tunneled" or not. The onus is on the team to make good saves and take hits. The onus is on the survivor to escape chase "tunneled" or otherwise.
"Maybe dbd isnt for them". Really despise people who use that line as an excuse to go out of their way to ruin someone's experience. Yea. Lets make sure to get as many people away from this community by not having the decency to be a human being and not caring there is another person on the other side of the screen.
-
I love chemical trap. I use it alot too. If I'm at a loop and place it on a pallet, it gives me options. If they don't break it, I just run the loop. And if they get too close, I like to use lithe with it and gain more distance away from the loop and save that pallet the killer didn't break.
-
I kinda laughed a bit only on the toolboxes and syringes need a nerf when they've already been nerfed in the past. They are honestly fine. I just wish we got some new items as survivors tbh
-
Ever since blight came out, the dev who made the blight considered hug tech not intended. Unfortunately he left before he could find a solution. Would've taken too long anyways considering this issue hasn't been solved even now
-
Oh it just happens unfortunately. And I don't think the devs really care or will do anything about it. I just know that their are matches where we don't pull off a win and others we do. And if we do pull off a win or one of us escape, I make sure to twerk at the exit or on hatch to assert dominance.

Everybody says they would love to have different game modes but I can't stop imagining the amount of chaos and backlash it would create on here with everybody complaining and crying about how Killer/Survivor sided it is.
I mean we just had the Void Event where they tried to implement something new and fun that was like a mini-game mode and the amount of "This event sucks! It's not fair! Survivors/Killers use void to their advantage! Unacceptable!" discussions were crazy.
So I totally get why they would be scared to create something like a new game mode on Core game.
I 1000% agree with this. I've been saying this constantly. People have been saying they want a mode that's just for fun, however that will eventually never hold for long. People are bound to ask for balancing because it's either too surv or killer sided. And that in turn will cause bhvr to waste more resources and time on this new mode. We already get so many bugs as it is every update.

Yes, patience.
They bring some skins even for the less popular chars from time to time.
But you will always see the most skins for the most played chars. They want to make money.
I suppose so. But at least I can save a bit of money for my main on the side. I do envy those popular characters.
-
I still find it funny how they always favor female survivors to win these contests. If they ever do make another contest, all contestants might as well dont submit a male survivor. You'll never win
-
Well the reason they are not taking chase is because you not carrying distortion like them if the killer has lethal. It's not their fault, they came prepared in a meta situation. And as a distortion user myself, you will definitely find me on a gen, not in the corner of the map doing nothing.
People really need to stop this mindset that being immersed when needed is an automatic detriment. Stealth is just as important as doing your objectives and taking chases. You may value one over the other, but I see no reason to nerf this perk just because a killer brings an all aura build, which honestly not always great to do anyways. You wanna have a balanced build
-
As most have said, i too believe its not useless. Although yes, its now situational. But, if you have a build where nearly all of your perks are situational, you are bound to get value out of it. I already get value from my personal build of Dh, DS, OTR and MFT every single match and im sire i still will even after this nerf.
-
Shirtless Gabe. Come on, Bhvr. What are you waiting FOOOOORRR!!!!!!
-
Not only that but they are changing maps for the worse on survivor side. Making certain tiles more unsafe, adding clutters in dead zones.
-
David is definitely a drama king. A very masculine man screaming that high is funny. Nicolas and new jonahs voice is also funny as well.
-
I believe somewhere in Jake's tome that kinda mention him mixing words and reading backwards throughout high school which may allude to dyslexia. But they never really expanded on it or outright confirmed it tho.
-
Oh no, i got downed the first 20 seconds of the match. Im confident that im gonna get the 4% unhook, a luck mechanic intended in the game. Oops, i went to 2nd. Whatever shall i do? Oh no, my controller died. Oh well. Gg guys. Please dont report me.

I loaded in as survivor on Nostromo, and the Switch performance was a slideshow. I couldn't play the match.
Killer is always awful. If Tome challenges didn't exist, I'd probably never play killer on Switch. It's miserable trying to fight through the performance issues. It'd ridiculously difficult just trying to track survivors in a chase, and with how often I have to pause and change course it's nearly impossible to catch up to them... and then when I do catch up, I swing and it whiffs and the survivor disappears.
Not sure how many hours I have on Switch, but I am extremely bitter. BHVR ported the game to Switch, they should have hired people who specialize in Switch ports so that the game would actually run properly on Switch.
Yea. Its honeslty nostomo thats a problem for switch too. I just couldnt do it. Other maps are ok. But not as choppy as nostromo.
-
Oh this is bad. Female survivor usage will go down. Then skin sales for female survivors will go down.
-
Its not. Especially if the person who made the killer said it was a bug. However, he never got the opportunity to fix it before he left and it wouldve took so long to even find a solution for it. But now everyone just accepts it.

Lets not start the tit for tat games. You can just flip this and mention that survivors always say that holding M1 on a gen is boring and they want chases. Give them chases and it's complaints about tunnelling.
I've never heard any survivor main who said holding m1 on a gen is boring then complain about tunneling. Because those same people are comp streamers that thrive off chases and look for the killer as soon as they spawn in the map. They don't care about being tunneled.

My mains are from most played to least.
1. Gabriel- you give me any type of sci-fi genre show that involves space exploration, cloning, a dystopian world etc, i will automatically be hooked on it. Love gabriel's design and his perks fits my playstyle being adaptive in any situation whether in being chase or objective focused. Also, his whimpers are so funny. also, bhvr better give him and Singularity more skins. They need it. Lol!
2. David- I knew the moment before his sexuality reveal, i just knew. I felt it. And once it was announced, i connected with his character even more. And his second tome really brought me to tears because it helped me come out myself. Also, his screams are funny. Such a drama king.
3. Vittorio- his tattoos are what gravitated me to him. So unique. And its something you dont see with the other cast.
4. Felix- a man with class. And when im in the mood to look good during the trials, i put on a suit with him.
5. Lastly is dwight- he was my 1st played survivor and i kept him as one of my main roster played because he is just too adorable.
But overall, you kinda get a sense on why i main all 5 of these men. For the plot indeed.
Oh yea, killer, i play like 20% of the time with killer. But I do love playing as trapper. The screams when a survivor falls into my traps and i gleefully run to my prey. Feels great.
