I don't mind a 2k, 1k or even 0k if I get 8 hooks.
What I do mind is when gens are done super fast, forcing me to tunnel. Seriously, I had my quickest game yesterday at 4 minutes maximum. By the time I got into my first chase, 3 gens were close to popping. They popped soon after getting into the chase. By the time I got my first hook I was down to the final gen, the chase lasted around a minute, maybe a few seconds less.
It did not make me happy at all to queue for twice the length of the match itself.
-
Ps5 and Series X with crossplay on. Longest I have had to wait is 15 minutes as killer, but only once. I average around 5 minutes, sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit less, up to 10 minutes. It's very rare to exceed this for me.
My survivor queue at any time of the day is almost instant at all times. I would say less than a minute on average.
Oh, I should point out that I'm from the UK, on eu servers.

I don't like the format of vhs, If I want to play a multiplayer game with guns I will buy my first call of duty game.
Yes, you have to craft them but it does nothing to gain my interest.
-
You get every reward on the premium track, from 1-70, regardless of when you buy the rift pass. You will then get all your cells back if you reach level 70.
So basically, yes, all cells returned and all rewards no matter if you bought the pass on the day of release or the day before it ends. It's just dependant on what tier you get to. The rewards will stop at your highest tier.

yes, i am using a controller on ps5....@Purgatorian i tried something similar before but it still did not separate the actions/controls...it worked for you, no problem? When did you make the change?
Thank you guys :)
I only changed them about 3 or 4 days ago.
Actions are for dropping pallets, vaulting etc. Interactions are gens, traps, healing etc. Make sure you change the right one.
Took me about 5 or 6 games to get used to, had some confusion at times before that lol.

Awesome, thanks bro!
No problem, happy to help. A mod should appear here tomorrow to confirm it's being looked into.
-
It's because they pushed the wrong version to xbox. You cannot play with anyone not on your version number therefore crossplay was disabled until fixed there.
They are aware of it and currently looking to fix it.
-
I like zombie speed and the oblivious effect when killing a zombie.
Caught a lot of survivors off guard with that.

So just wait on the next update?
I am only guessing here but they may have sent one out, it may just be going through verification. So yeah, it's just a waiting game right now.
-
I would never use it. I like to go to the last page of the end screen to see what perks and add ons the survivors/killers had but would keep chat turned off.
I get enough hate through messages even if I play fair, don't need it through the game itself.
-
If it's the xbox issue, they are aware of it due to it getting a later update. They are looking into it and may have possibly sent the proper version, however it can take a few days to go through the system.
I can't imagine bhvr waiting for the update to go through other platforms instead. Then again, maybe they sent a new update out however it cleared extremely fast on xbox systems.

Ahhh that's explains it! Thank you!
No problem, happy to have been of help :)
-
What if it was applied to the unhooker and not the rescued survivor. That would discourage the tunnel, if that's why they are tunnelled in the first place.

Does hex ruin make gens spark every time someone gets off them?
Yes, as soon as they get off the gen, hex ruin starts regressing it instantly.
-
I literally had the quickest match today, have no idea how they could be done so fast. I normally complain at 5 minutes completion, this must have been 4 or less as they all split onto different gens. There was no way I could protect them all.
Still got a 2k, one in the basement that I unfortunately had to tunnel on final gen, and egc killed the other.
I am either getting way too easy matches or way too hard, there has been no inbetween for me.

same for me lol, im also getting hits when using pallet and when 100m away from window
When I get stunned and also hit the survivor as killer, hit validations takes the hit away from the survivor. It happened 3 times in a row in one of my games the other day.
I'm the same as you as survivor though. I stun the killer with a pallet and get downed at the same time. I don't think the game likes me lol.

I don't hate it, but however it just is a shadow compared to Spine Chills shining glory. I feel that when you learn the maps quite well you can already read which way the killers approaching with spine chill, on top of that you also know if they are actually coming or if they just glanced over you accidentally. And then even more you get speed bonuses on top of that when it is active which does come in handy for last sec repair/heals/exit gate openings.
BUT WAIT THERES MORE
On top of that there's no cool down it will always work so you have constant knowledge of if the killer is coming after you.
So I mean if you were to choose between the two you should always go Spine Chill it just offers way more benefits in the end.
Although I'm in the 'spine chill is better' camp, the killer can moonwalk towards you and, if it's a stealth killer, you will be none the wiser as spine chill won't light up.
It's been a long time since I used Premonition but I think that tells you the direction even if a killer is not looking at you so the killer can't fake it so easily.
Granted though, it will take a few times searching an empty gen before you think about spine chill and stop looking towards the gen.

A quote taken out of context. This quote, IN context, actually was a rather fair comment.
...that's not to say they never say some questionable things, but that isn't one of them.
He was told he shouldn't have said it though. Therefore I claim that as my defence with my comment
-
It would be nice if it was possible to just be able to send the clips directly from console for games flagged as cheating or working with killer. Then they hire someone to manually review these.
If they deem them to be doing so then it's sent to the devs for an official decision. Ban those that do or put people on a blacklist for repeated false reports just because they were sacrificed as survivor or outplayed as killer.

I was unaware. It wouldn’t be the first time a dev has said something they shouldn’t have because they had been harassed by the community.
'Go play something else for a while. Play civilization, that's a good game' springs to mind lol.
-
I don't think it should be completely taken out but make variations like badham preschool.
Two of them contain the central room but split into East and west wings, then 2 for upstairs and downstairs.
4 variations, smaller map.

You can run STBL but I have to also run ruin/undying to slow down gens and bbq because I'm still grinding. Thats all my perk slots.😭
Bbq, ruin, pop and discordance is what I normally have to run. Stbl is for quicker hits. Do you mean play with your food?
I do like to fiddle with bamboozle, stbl and blood warden now and again, not on the same build though.

I find them balanced better with the new system versus it's predecessor. As for the Meg I would have hooked her for not helping the other survivors. If I noticed her doing it earlier in the match she may have been the only one I sacrificed and I would have let the others go.
I think she was new. We have all been there, our first week of hiding at the first sound of a terror radius lol.
I felt sorry for her tbh.

Thats my point it takes no skill and then turns the chase into no skill for the killer.
And some survivors want to get rid of bloodlust. Imagine how much longer it would take to catch up without it.
-
I found setting actions to R3 is much better. Drop pallets with R3, heal with R1. No more accidents with unintentional pallet drops and didn't take long to get used to.
Keep interactions as R1.
-
What I don't understand is it takes me longer as killer to catch up to the survivors than it does when I try it as survivor.
Seriously, they can get close to the other side of the map, I'm lucky if I can make it to the second loop lol.
-
I finally got low level players today, after being stomped on for the last few days.
I decided to let them live but a Meg was too scared to go near the 2 on the ground to heal them, one dc'd when I first downed her near the beginning.
I even moved to the other side of the map but they got close to bleeding out so I had to hook them. Meg was hiding very close to the hook so I downed her and gave her hatch.
Hopefully the matches balance out soon.
-
Although it's not fully working as intended right now hopefully consistent data bhvr gets helps with smoothing it out soon.
By soon, I mean a year or two :p

no sex jokes in my teen sexploitation genre
If anything, the people in charge should grow up and realize it's just a joke.
An unfunny, immature joke that should only funny to teenagers that was overused far too much.
-
Although I do like to play as Freddy with the gen pressure he can have, all they had to do to old freddy was to make survivors not being able to interact with gens or totems whilst being pulled into the dream world.
We all remember the days people would destroy the hex during the transition, that was a nightmare lol.
-
Yes there is, you just redownload the game and re-add dlc to library and you're good to go.
At least that's what I had to do on launch day, maybe it's changed now.
-
I want my bbq stacks so I go for the ones who have not been hooked if I see them.
As survivor though I have noticed a lot more tunnelling and camping, even with 5 gens remaining.
This started during the 5th anniversary event for me, it was bad then and progressively getting worse.
Games lasting 5 minutes when gens are completed are no fun for killer, getting tunnelled or camped out are no fun for survivor.
Seriously, if bhvr does not do something and this keeps getting worse, it will be the death of this game.
-
I have suffered from depression anxiety and issues with my nerves for years. I have a lot of ups and downs, just take a look at my post history as my moods show there. I say this because there are people that understand what you're going through. You won't get any 'man up' or 'pull yourself together' which does not help in the slightest.
My advice is go speak to a doctor, they will diagnose you and try you on medications to stabilise your mood. You may have to try a few medications before you find the one right for you. They may also talk about counselling, take the offer, sometimes it's just good to talk to someone about it. I am from the UK though so these are free on the NHS, with the exception of prescription charges.
I urge you not to entertain the thoughts of taking your own life. It's hard as sometimes they are so 'noisy' up in your head, believe me I know. Please try and get help ASAP as suicide is final and there's no turning back from it.
All life is precious, it ends too soon. Please don't make it sooner than it needs to be.
-
Isn't it best to heal so that, if or when, that survivor is hooked there is another fully healed member to loop again. The survivors may get the gen to 50% then the killer uses pop. A healthy survivor can then loop him, hopefully, for the remaining 75% or get a less risky save on the hooked person.
What I don't understand are the people who t bag to be healed when Devour hope is active. No, look for the totem you fool lol.
I understand healing, unless you have iron will, is better as it makes you quieter but if you're one shot down, fix the problem first.
From a killer perspective, heal away. As many times as possible, even if I'm camping the hook during egc with noed or infinite tier 3 myers lol.
-
Devour is definitely too strong considering after cleansing they may still be exposed if 5 tokens were gathered. They would have to drop it to the extra movement speed for 10 seconds.
Ruin would probably drop to base regression without kicking it.
Noed will just have the movement speed.
Have no idea about haunted, definitely don't about lullaby since less than 4 stacks makes lullaby pointless.
I am all for it instead of wasted perk slots but then survivors would complain they have wasted perk slots once ds or unbreakable has been used.

But then there would be no point at running them at all, and at that point why would you even put this in the game?
Right now they seem out of place, killers already have so much to deal with and now they could be getting a second objective.
Fourth objective you mean. Killers already have:
- Sacrifice survivors
- Break open breakable walls on god loops
- Protect generators.
The list is getting ever longer on killer, no change for survivor
-
She just wanted to cure the people she cared for, in the end having to make a pact with the entity.
She seemed the nicest person before this and if any movie were to be made on a dbd killers backstory, this is the one I would want.
-
Just like the plague I have tried helping people throughout my years, every single time getting betrayed. Well, technically the plague wasn't betrayed but it still bit her on the butt in the end.
Just like the plague, the thought now of any personal face to face social aspects in my life, except for my partner, makes me want to puke.
-
@T103 said:
Will anything be done about tunnelling & camping? If you make gens take longer (or add more objectives, which technically makes gens take longer) those two strats get buffed.
Some people who tunnel only do it to make it a 3v1 to make gens pop more slowly. You may see a slight drop if something is done about gen speeds. I doubt you would see a massive drop though as some killers are just keen to get kills even though 8 hooks, 0 kills would give you more bp than 1-3 hooks, 1k and camping
I'm not in agreement of increasing the time it takes as I agree that will be so boring. I'm with the people who want a seperate objective before gens can be worked on, maybe another small objective before opening the exit gates if noed ever gets reworked.
-
VHS does not interest me in the slightest since you can craft guns. I don't want weapons, I don't mind getting stunned but I want to have nothing to fight back with.
Still looking forward to seeing a teaser match for the evil dead though.
-
I wouldn't run it if it was just the auras, there are better tracking perks out there.
If it was just the extra bp I would still use it.
Since it is supposed to be an anti camp perk why on earth would it need to be changed? If I see an aura on a gen and I don't think anyone else is around, I am heading towards that gen.
The perk that needs a rework is the survivor version of this. 20% per gen completed rather than 25% for safe unhooks. If the killer only has to do their objectives, why can't the survivor instead of having to compete with 3 others for the unhook.
-
I only got it for somewhere up to 10 matches, can't remember the exact amount, but just over 200 ping was the most I got. Most of them hovered at, or just under, 200 ping. It went back to normal afterwards though, I thought it may have just been a server issue.
I have read another topic on these forums about vpn in 2021 so there must be more being noticed for the post to have been created.
Hope it sorts itself out soon for you, I know high ping can lead to some weird, possibly miserable games.

That sort of goes against the spirit of the having the freedom to just pick whatever perks you want to run.
But it will also lower the bully squads. Have you ever gone against 4 survivors all running soul guard and for the people lol It's a complete nightmare.
-
I know what you mean. I don't wait as long as some others but my queue times, for killer at least, can run up 15 minutes. The problem with this is my matches can sometimes be over in 5 minutes since gens can go way too fast. I rarely have a game that reaches 10 minutes.
-
Swf should not be able to choose the same perk on different members. This way they would have to have a designated role in the team. So no multiple ds, dead hard, unbreakable etc.
This would make it a little more fair imo.
-
Saminations version of the trapper, he is too precious and needs mountain's of hugs lol
-
8 hooks will give you better bp then a camper getting one kill. Since I'm a bp chaser I will normally try to go for hooks unless the gens are going too fast, then I shall try for a kill.
-
Anywhere from 5-15 minutes as killer, games lasts around 5 minutes until final gen pops. Worth it, would wait 15 minutes again :(
As survivor, almost instant queue, then it's one of the following.
1 Camping, tunnelling killer. I realise this, try doing gens, person on hook kills themselves or the other 2 try hook bombing. Game over.
2 Being the first hooked, killer goes away, people don't move towards my direction when they are all on the opposite side of the map. One hooked, game over.
3 Pinhead game running the same perks as every other Pinhead, hoarder and Franklin's, and same lament opening slowdown. No one wants to go near the box to solve it even if it spawns close to a gen they're working on and I'm on the opposite side of the map. Game over.
All the camping has put me back to low mmr and it's not pleasant.
-
I would rather all 4 spawn on one gen, if they have it close to completion they will be drawn like a moth to a flame once you chase them off. Ruin will do the work as you get injures, or downs, on them, adamant on getting that gen completed. If they move, discordance does it's work.
I find that if they are split up on 4 gens, unless you're a really good killer or have high mobility, 2 or 3 gens will pop by the time you get your 2nd hook.
-
I hook them for two reasons.
The first is to get an easy stack of bbq.
The second is that I don't want to be hearing the explosions over the next couple of minutes as they get crows.
Hopefully by the time they get rescued they have returned again.
