Honestly his power wouldn't be nearly as bad if they significantly lowered the timer. It won't start until outside his terror radius, standard 32m, so 30sec is FAR to long of a timer when it takes 15 seconds without help, 10 seconds with help, and the mending process stops it from downing you even if 30 seconds pass (as long as you're in the process of doing it, it won't down you). Cut it down to 8 seconds to heal, 15sec timer, same with or without help, down you even if mending as long as outside the terror radius, and automatically cause exhausted status until you get rid of it.
The problem I have with it is, it's supposed to be a delay, its so fast to mend but if you make it longer, it REALLY won't be fun

Wraith needs to be handled separately. He needs buffs and QOL changes to make him anywhere near good. For example, he should have his green windstorm speed, I think, by default when cloaked. Maybe his uncloak could be a small bit faster too.
Otherwise, Bubba is the same way. He is basically punished for using the saw.
Legion and Plague are not nearly as bad as people say. Plague is good, just has a bit harder time handling loops.
Piggy is... okay?
Ehhhhh, Legion's power hurts him and Deep Wound doesn't do anything, also, his add ons are GARBAGE but that is already being looked at.

Do you play on Xbox?

Borrowed can be used to make unsafe unhooks as soon as the Killer starts leaving. People with DS often run Unbreakable, meaning you can pull them off the unhook, nor can you slug them.

Yup, aside from the fact that legion was unfun to play against from a designperspective he was pretty balanced and only 2k'd unless the survivors were COMPLETE potatos.
Meh, I, personally, thought it was a bit ridiculous that he could just keep swinging until he hit you.

He has 0 gameknowledge and he would be an absolute TERRIBLE dev as seen by the legion rework.
Just because you're mechanically good at something doesn't mean you're cut for gamedesign.
From my knowledge, though limited, he suggested specifically the change that made it so Legion couldn't spam until he hit someone with FF, correct?

Yeah maybe it just sucks as a survivor really bad and as killer it just takes the fun out because you don't even have to really try. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
We can only hope.

To be fair, devs will add a new status effect just to protect stealth killers against OoO.
Very glad for it. However, things like the DS, Unbreakable and Dead Hard build that I've been seeing recently are putting Killers into a no win scenario. Bill saves Meg off the hook. Bill gets downed and put on the hook, Meg comes in for the save. You can't grab her, because of DS and you can't slug her because of the emblem penalty to Chaser AND because of Unbreakable and Dead Hard. I also ran into some idiot using the infinite Dead Hard exploit with that build, but that isn't the point.

they don't. u have several methods in the base game to do that, such as learning how to run structures, when to slug, mindgaming etc
Most loops aren't mindgamable, slugging is good, infinite's exist and Survivors have perks to help them continue to evade.

I don't think a killers power should negate a perk but maybe while broken it could slow the survivors down a bit as well
I don't think Survivors perks should negate a Killer's power either, cough cough OoO and GF, cough cough

they definitely should be looked at. nothing should give a player so much power that it makes every game a cakewalk
No, they shouldn't. They almost confirm a de-pip as Killer. Fair trade.

she has no counter play without perks, they shouldn't be a requirement to outplay a killer.
Killers shouldn't need perks to outplay Survivors. That puts you in WAY more trouble.

The pistol does have a cooldown. Get better at dodging bullets.
If you do not understand, I do not consider Billy separately. A situation where several killers are clearly stronger than others is a bad balance. They should be approximately equal in strength. All.
You simply want to bully Killers, like most survivors. Billy is absolutely fine. He is loopable, like so loopable i can loop him. His saw is easy to dodge, you might have to put effort into PRACTICING to beat him, but, he is very balanced. Also, not sure what your analogy is but, most pistols fire as fast as you can pull the trigger and have the cartridge exit the gun.

It was before the softban system existed, so the bans were lifted when the exploit was fixed and those bans counted as their first strike when the softban system launched.
Ah. I see, thanks for the clarification.

Yeah, but people see powerrole as "I want to 4k everytime against any team. My skill doesn't matter. The only time someone escapes is when I give hatch because I'm the powerrole and I decide"
That's the issue we have in this Community. The killer is the powerrole in terms of he is stringer and can actually kill survivors. That's it.
Killer power is = 4 survivors. That means the Killer's power is > 3 survivors
-
@gantes said:
But seriously though people who have those fantasies of power with the killer role and play it because it's the "power role" and get mad when people suggest otherwise scare me on a psychological level.
Like, maybe there's something wrong with you on some level?
Well, it is the power role. This is an asymmetrical game. There is a numbers role and a power role.

Right, like the asylum exploit that we banned for prior to that. That one only affected survivors. I guess we're not talking about that since it wouldn't paint the picture you're looking to make.
Last time around, nobody was banned for the blades exploit or any of the others. You're really trying to turn an innocent thread into a killer vs. survivor thing.
To get back on topic: If you know of an exploit and you're worried people might abuse it, you're welcome to contact a mod or a CM and report it to us privately. If we don't already know about it, that's the safest way to make sure it gets fixed without everyone taking advantage of it.
I was told that everyone was unbanned for the aslyum exploit shortly after.

I don't think so. 3 most of the time implies you killed everyone before the gens were done and one person got hatch. I don't think stomp+hatch should be a standard for anything.
Even if you did well, but got a 2K, you probably aren't going to pip at red ranks. Which means you didn't win. It should be based of off pips, not kills.
-
@gantes said:

Cancelling it is fine.
You shouldn't be missing hits anyway. The only place where this is actually a problem is console, and specific fixes should be targeted at that.
Legion has problems, but losing your power when you get outplayed so hard (or outplayed yourself so hard) you missed a hit is adequate.
360'ing on console, as I said, is extremely hard for the Killer to deal with because of the low framerate. This is the main reason I want to give him two chances to hit, instead of one.
-
@harry14141414 said:
lol say what ? his abilty is easy to dodge??
I think devs and community managers never play against rank 1 killers
Well, I do. It is VERY easy to dodge. Jungle gyms and infinites force Billy to M1.
-
@Ghost077 said:
All killers, except Nurse, have one or another limitation of force. Spirit has a recharge, Huntress limit axes, etc. Billy can travel around the map without restrictions. Unlike others, he can use his power anytime. In combination with the ability to instantly give a dying state, this is a too much. It’s not very fair, special if map is some like as Rotten Fields. Thus, it deserves at least a small nerf, giving a recharge of the saw after some time.
The saw does have a cooldown. Get better at looping.

I mean, I personally don't find it too hard to hit people in Frenzy. Much better to have a penalty for missing than to be able to swing like a madman and have 15 chances to hit someone imo
True. But maybe have it deplete the power tremendously instead of just cancelling it.
-
Getting a 2K is often a de-pip. Hell, 4K's can be a brutal at red ranks if you use someone like Billy. It should be based off of something else other than kills.
-
@PickCollins said:
If you advocate for any of old legions mechanics to return, then you're opinion is unpopular and wrong.
For example, missing frenzy stabs SHOULD cancel frenzy (for counterplay purposes), Legion should not see blood for anti Tunnelling purposes, and you should never be able to use frenzy to down a survivor.
Old Legion was basically a badly designed Nurse rework and thank God it's gone. Is he undertuned? Perhaps, but mechanics went out the door for him for a specific and good reason. Keep them out.
His power hurts him more than it helps him. Tunneling is a part of the game, whether you like it or not. Legion, especially on console, is hard to use. People abuse the hell out of 360'ing on console because they know Killers play at 25 FPS and Survivors play at ~45. Everytime you activate FF the FPS drops even more, making EVEN harder to land the hit.
-
Thank you so much!

I'm not sure if you're trolling or if the site you used to find that definition is trolling.
I'll just say that "lagswitching" is defined by saturating your internet connection to cause a massive number of dropped or delayed packets during a multiplayer game.
Just trust me on this bud, the internet is flooded with incorrect and mis-information - and this is a great example.
Other guy supported my definition.

You have been rude to everyone who is skeptical. You are lucky the mods haven't been here yet. However, I believe there is a chance of this being true.
That being said, you have not shown me ANYTHING someone who had discovered this would do. Ergo, I am extremely skeptical. If you were to post video, many would believe you. If you do not, then I suppose many will believe you a liar.

"A lag switch is a piece of equipment installed on a home network that temporarily delays the flow of traffic to the internet. In an online gaming context, the physical toggle can beswitched on to delay gameplay to give the lag switcher the upper hand." Like I said, its a process of messing with your ethernet cord, like pulling it out for a small periods of time to stop survivors in chase, as it shown in the photos releated to the term lag switching. Trust me I use to be a sweaty sad person back in the Xbox 360 days lmao
As did I, friend. Pulling the ethernet cord out USUALLY makes you DC in DBD.

You were the one with the claim. The burden of proof falls to you, not I. Produce visual evidence or stop making outlandish claims for attention.

We have your word, versus the devs word. If what you have found is true, you would think you would be more respectful and explain your findings, or post the video of you testing it.

Borrowed time is to counter camping which is either toxic or desperate.
Adrenaline is a reward for doing objectives.
Decisive counters tunneling which is either toxic or desperate.
Borrowed can be abused. DS isn't to stop tunneling, it gives Survivors immunity.

You ignore evidence that counters your point. You continue to attempt to demonize me. I have stated repeatedly that I want Killers to have a chance. If you disagree, then RESPECTFULLY disagree. Just because someone has a differing opinion, doesn't mean you should try to demonize them.

No its a method of messing with your ethernet cord, I've been in matches where every chase starts out fine. But then the killers stand still and it ends with me being picked up
I have been in those chases as well. It isn't lagswitching, trust me.
