Survivor(s)- Kate is main but I also play Feng Min, and Meg
Killer(s)- Wraith is main but I also play Michael, Legion, Trapper, and Ghostface.
They are the fun ones.

Tunneling is a good strategy. I don't blame Survivors who genrush, they are only doing their objective. I also don't blame Killers who tunnel, a 4v1 is massively against them, but a 3v1 is way more even.
Tunnelling is a strategy for noobs. It isn't right, I think about everyone's fun. I mean how fun can it be to get in a match just to be camped and tunnelled out. I understand that gen rushing is a problem but if you just focus on 1 person you aren't protecting the gens, all your accomplishing is ruining that players fun.
-
@DeathBeam said:
You shouldn't rely on that crutch perk anyway.
Yeah because I should just allow myself to be tunnelled. I mean old ruin was the same almost every killer had it. I have been playing killer more and the perks I use are BBQ, Thanatophobia, Bitter Murmur, and the 4th depends on the killer but never ruin or NOED. So saying that DS is a crutch perk is a load of crap killer mains say, because every perk is a crutch perk because it's meant to help you win. I run DS because I got tired of killers literally hooking me and then waiting for me to get pulled off just to farm me.
-
I don't agree with people attacking others, whether it's verbally or physically it's wrong. They are the devs, and they are trying to do a job and that's to try and make as many people happy as possible. Yes they probably dropped the ball with some of the recent changes as of late, but give them a break. I would like to see anyone step in their shoes and try. For all we know this could just be a test to see how it works. Even if it's not, eventually everything will get a change so ruin could be changed again. Just wait and see, if you don't like it don't play the game anymore. At least until they make changes you like.

Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.
Exactly! That's why I haven't been using Beast of Prey or Hex: Thrill of the Hunt - if they just buffed them to give 100% bp I wouldn't even have to use Freddy to farm BP with his Kid's Drawing add on. I don't think.
Beast of prey is ok on scratched mirror Myers with BBQ, Thrill and either distressing (for a fun laugh about comments after game) or Pop with a survivor pudding it's a nice 40k-60k depending on survivor gameplay. The lowest I got was 35k using that build.

it gives similar results cause the value of numbers is small in this case,lets say you have a 50%(lets say resilience is 50% instead) and a debuff of 30%(2 stacks of thana for the sake of an example).That would seem like 20% of a buff to actions by your math right?Or 1.2c/s. If we do his math we get, (1+0.5) * (1-0.3)=1.5 * 0.7=1.05c/s.
Does that seem similar to you?
Ok you're just ignorant. I gave you a simple answer, and you try to overlook it because it wasn't a math equation. Then again you're just a noob.

4 stacks,1 hook is a stack,it doesn't matter tho cause @thesuicidefox already did the math
I gave you the same answer just in simplified terms. But you chose to question me because I didn't give you a math equation. You countered yourself and I questioned it.

Had dying light teir 1 once, and had 4 hooks? So he had 1 stack or 4?

TIER 1 dying light,can you read?
I can definitely read. In your opening post you said 3 stacks of dying light was grey, and then in the follow up post to my answer you said 4 stacks is yellow.
-
@luka2211 said:

9%-8%=1% so the bar should technically still be yellow.It doesn't matter as long as it increases/decreases time you do an action,i know cause a killer had dying light tier 1 once,and had 4 hooks and the bar was yellow.Dying light tier 1 is 2% per a hook so it should have been grey there aswell but it wasn't ;F
You said that it was grey in a match where the killer had 3 stacks of dying light. But yellow on 4?
-
Simple answer is it's grey because they cancel each other out. A 1% increase isn't much.
-
As survivor I say gg as long as I got a fair chance of living. As killer I say gg to the ones who don't tbag. Winning isn't everything to me.

The real challenge for you would be to play solo lmao
I play solo more than I do with friends. My friends that do play DBD, don't play every day they might play only a couple times a week. I survive more by myself than I do with friends, mainly because I don't feel obligated to die to save anyone. When I play solo I get rank 1, but with friends I can't get past rank 6. I play both killer and survivor almost evenly, although lately I have been playing killer a bit more. Average week of games: SWF= around 20 matches, Solo= over 75, and Killer= around 125+. (now these are guess estimations, not always consistent. Just what I have played in the past few weeks each.)

Not without reason I guess game was not made for playing comms. but if you allow a mode were survivors cant comms (cuz they are unknown pep) it would help also a mode where you can comms with another killer.
You do realize that I could just invite whoever is in lobby with me to a party chat. It's not playing with friends it's the communication that killers hate. But it doesn't bother me at all. Killers hate coordination but that's part of the challenge. What fun would it be if it was an easy match because of the lack of coordination.
-
Everyone is against SWF for some reason it's funny. But I want a 50s V 25k bloodbath mode
-
Favorite killer to look at is Julie legion in the Halloween outfit. But I'm a Wraith and Michael main
-
The killer mains who are still yet again complaining about borrowed time need to stop. I understand that you guys aren't going to ever stop trying to get rid of DS completely, but leave borrowed time alone. I face full 4 DS in a game and never have to eat 1. Play both sides evenly then complain.

People complain because it's a very real problem that often negatively impacts the game.
"Just don't play" is a strawman excuse. People paid for the game. People have invested significant time into the game. There have been plenty of videos and evidence practically every day showing again and again that SWF is a problem with the overall balance of the game and that killers lack the appropriate tools and resources to handle a well co-ordinated team.
You trying to pass it off as if it is such a black and white issue is simply not going to cut it, I'm afraid.
And the people who do play SWF didn't pay??? Where's the logic.

just give all survivors that are in a swf broken status effect all game. ez fix.
Because you want an easy match. Move on
-
Everyone has their own opinion on DS which is fine, but targeting borrowed time an actual anti-tunnel/camping perk. You have got to be joking. I don't care what anyone says borrowed time is fine.
-
F*** dead hard. I honestly hate this perk as a survivor, I go to dead hard and still get smacked all I did was get exhausted. Nothing else. It used to work before archive update but not since. Oh well onto lithe I guess.
-
Make like a Ghost- can go invisible to everyone when pulled off the hook in the terror radius. If you are the last one alive, can just walk through the exit gate opened or closed
Camouflage- can 100% turn into something on the map at random. Cannot be used until you have been hooked twice. If the killer guesses what you are and strikes, you are dead instantly. Cannot move for 2 minutes, and will have the broken status effect for the rest of the match. Last resort perk.
Anti-Charity: if a survivor has less than 10k bloodpoints and refuses to save anyone, you and that survivor change places. So they are hooked not you. If they are hatch camping, the hatch then teleports to you on the hook or in front of the killer. Cannot use a key if someone is hooked.
Killer perk
Anti-Teabagger: if a survivor teabags in your line of sight, and you can see it, they are dead immediately.
(These are just for fun)

Still, they will talk to each other, which perks they use, which items / addons. They give informations through the voicecom, what solo players ain't have, to the disadvantage of the killer. That is just not fair play.
Stop complaining seriously. I play solo or maybe with 1 friend if I even play survivor that day and it's never a problem on either side. I win some I lose some, to be fair I tend to die alot more in a SWF than a solo, because I feel obligated to save my friend(s). There are killers who camp and tunnel that's not fair to the survivor but I don't complain. If that's how they want to play then that's on them. Who cares let people play the way they want to. If you can't handle it then leave, just stop playing. Simple. I'm honestly tired of hearing about 1 side complaining about the other and then back again.

I see no problem in running a crutch perk if your killer is low tier. Wraith mains can agree.
I'm a Wraith main and never used ruin once, other than adept Hag and Mikey's tombstone and tuft. If I 4k it's pure skill on my part or potato syndrome on the survivors part. Either way doesn't matter if I only get 1 kill or 0 it's because my skill wasn't good enough.
-
Ok if they remove SWF will killer mains finally be happy? No because if a survivor is smart they will just invite whoever joins the lobby to a party chat. Communication is still there, but playing with friends isn't. All to satisfy killers. I don't get why any side complains about the game. If you don't like it then just don't play easy as that. Move on and stop crying.

As far as spirit she never bothered me as a survivor. If she changes oh well and if not oh well.

Wrong. People complained about her addons 90% of the time, the minority was complaining about her basekit. But this minority is the same group who complains about clown being to strong.
But clown is OP man, those toxic bottles are extremely painful. That gas area is a no go. Clown just ain't it chief. (Complete sarcasm by the way)

@Laakeri said:
I wouldnt remove either as I pretty much rely on DS as a solo survivor. What I would do is actually make it to anti tunnel perk. Not 60 seconds of immunity what it currently is.
Yeah but you do have dhead killers who just want to target someone and then slug them because of DS to avoid it and kill the person at least with a 60 second timer it buys time for the other survivors to have a chance

The problem I have with this is even though its just a game it's frustrating as a person who plays both sides because I get stressed out playing killer and I can relax as survivor
I'm the exact opposite (meaning I can relax as killer), and I'm not saying it's not frustrating. I do get somewhat upset that I got tunnelled and face camped. But it still is just a game after all that doesn't matter. Just have fun as much as possible and move on.

Cleanse totems and don't tunnel or simply slug and you're completely fine. Or just eat the DS and procee with the game, it's not a big deal. Unless you get genrushed, but then you should probably slug a bit anyway I guess.
Exactly ;)

@terumisan said:

The point of WGLF is to protect your friends. It's a perk that rewards altruism with bonus bloodpoints. If you want to take advantage of its effects, you have to adopt an altruistic playstyle. If it doesn't fit with your playstyle and you don't want to adapt, then don't use the perk.
Arguably, BBQ also rewards a particular playstyle - it rewards killers who don't tunnel or camp. Both perks are designed to incentivise a style of gameplay which is enjoyable for the other players.
All in all, I agree that it would be nice for survivors to have more ways to maximise bloodpoint gains, however I disagree that that should come in the form of WGLF being made easier because I think it's in a good place now for what it does.
I completely agree with you. If they change WGLF into a do anything in the match then, where's the incentive to save someone I have watched people die because someone was to selfish and just hid or did gens.
-
I run spine chill to counter Ghostface and Myers not spirit. It's only because I hate getting grabbed lol

Franklin's Demise is already a massive pain in the asz. That would just be to powerful, because seeing the auras will give survivor locations away. It's fine as is. But hey it's just my opinion.

You realize many people on this forums have been playing DBD actively for years, don't you? If you DID know as much as you pretend to know you'd not say things like
"(...)it ain't my fault if you don't have enough skill to dismantle SWF groups(...)"
Winning in DBD is NOT all about skill. It's about:
- skill
- decisions
- map
- killer (character)
- perk loadout of all survivors
- perk loadout of the killer
- items
- spawn locations of all clients
- map rng
- luck
Play Clown with NO PERKS and NO ADDONS at Temple Of Purgation against a rank 1 SWF team consisting of "optimal loopers" that have 5000+ hours in the game combined with 4 brand new parts in a purple engineer toolbox, adrenaline, dead hard, decisive, prove thyself and you will see how meaningless the term "skill" can be especially if everyone spawns on their own generator while you spawn as far away from all survivors as possible.
Lol you said it's not all about skill but then proceeded to put skill at the top of the list and decisions are part of your skill. It's funny how everyone on the internet can sit there and just assume that they know everything about everyone. I'm not pretending to know as much as I say I know, I do know what I know and that's all I say is what I know. All I have been trying to get across to everyone is just play the damn game as is and stop crying.

it is obvious you are a entitled survivor main, the power role IS survivor, plus SWF ADDS TO THE 4 PERKS you ALREADY bring with you, like I said with SWF, your loadout is 4 perks + nearly all aura reading survivor perks, more than 4, vs the killers 4 perks. yes killers have insta downs BUT they all have requirements or pre-conditions that can be countered by the survivor (I will say tho that Noed is cheap and I never use it myself) but the power role is survivor, no doubt about it, very easy to rank up and pip, vs killer who has to sweat 24/7. yes the killer can slow the game down with perks, but none of them slow it down DRASTICALLY. the survivor mains who think that killer is the power role are those that want this game to be a bully simulator. and before you say "but BHVR only buffs killers and only nerf survivors" because this was core DBD when it released
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1fkX3H84SE&t=
survivors are still the power role but it is not as bad as it used to be. it has taken them over 3 years to get to the current state and survivor is still the power role
I was never implying that killer is the power role. And a survivor main? Yeah not happening I prefer to play killer more, when I first started playing I preferred survivor but now I prefer killer I still play both but like I said it ain't my fault if you don't have enough skill to dismantle SWF groups. I was around during the release and have played on 2 different systems so I may know a bit more than you. And saying I'm an "Entitled survivor main" is like me saying that you're an "Entitled killer main" it proves nothing regardless whether or not it's true because that's irrelevant. It's just a stupid viscous cycle of killers complaining about survivors and survivors complaining about killers. Why doesn't everyone stop crying like little girls who lost their "Dolly" and grow up and just play the damn game just like it is. Everyone knows what they are coming into when they buy the game. A 4v1 experience.
-
@SteelDragon said:
the game was balanced around solo play, SWF allows all those in the SWF pretty much all the survivor aura reading perks without using up any of the perk slots or taking any of the downsides, you can co-ordinate to be efficient with time by saying stuff "I'll get the save you keep working on the gen" "my gen here is almost done" "killer is chasing me, work on gens" "pallets here here and here are gone" etc etc etc. it makes the already power role that is survivor much stronger.
Yeah it's not like the killer has any insta-downing perks or power or even decreased gen speed perks. The only killers who believe that survivors are too OP are the killers who want easy wins.

You still can make him m1 killer andd extend the chase for 30 sec (if i'm not mistaken) because that's his cooldown
Wow 30 whole seconds because that's going to help. I do like the idea of him losing some stalk though like maybe 15% each time he hits and 100% if he marks.

I like Ghostface the way he is now. Otherwise what would be the point of revealing him if not to stop the insta-downing.

So this has happened to me a few games now, I have a heart and play about 50/50
But what is up with survivors giving away teammates positions, Oh I just smacked a Steve, instead of luring me away and trying to run from chase he runs to a locker and starts pointing at it, so I hit him then check the locker, only to have the person inside said locker DC. Other times I punish the Snitch and let the person get away since I find it rude and really bad gameplay.
Thoughts?

The game isn't balanced around SWF with voice communication. That makes it -by definition- imbalanced because DBD is all about making smart decisions which is BY FAR easier if you can literally talk to the other players.
On top of that most SWF teams bring the strongest perk setups and strongest items in the game.
Basically SWF is like an easy mode for survivors no matter how you put it. I used to play SWF with only ONE teammate. He wasn't even good at the game despite getting rank 1 every season. He had 30 second chases ON A GOOD DAY.
Even with that mediocre teammate I was able to win/escape more often than not due to the fact we knew each other's perks, items and strengths/weaknesses and on top of that we were able to make smarter decisions.
Huge/unfair advantage in my book. Nowadays I play solo only because said teammate got too horny after 1 year of playing SWF on a daily basis and I notice a huge difference. Now add 2 MORE teammates that know each other's perks, items, strengths, weaknesses etc. and you will realize what makes SWF so powerful.
Yeah because it's supposed to be easy for killers?
-
@NoShinyPony said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/795459#Comment_795459
The game is already imbalanced and favouring survivors when it's 4 solos vs 1 killer. The additional communication allows the SWF group to play even more efficiently, giving them an even bigger advantage.
I'm a survivor main myself and play both solo and SWF. I don't have any illusions and know that I'm playing the easy way with the advantage on my side.
Ok everyone goes into this game fully aware that it's a 4v1. Now let's put this in an easier way for everyone to understand. It's a 4v1 survival horror game somewhat like a playable horror movie. And in horror movies the survivors don't just run around oblivious to each other and not talk, or formulate some sort of strategy. They try to work together in hopes of everyone surviving. It's just skilled based in my opinion. I can wreck almost any SWF groups getting at least 3-4 kills, it just takes practice.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
It's not disliking people playing with their friends, it's dislike for the imbalanced state of the game.

I love a challenge as killer.
But a 4man, that teabags and flashlightclicks the whole game against a weak killer, because they know they got a decisive advantage due to third party communication, is not cool.
BHVR got the plan to buff weaker killers and close the gap between SWF and solo gameplay. That's good i guess.
The toxic SWF groups I can understand to hate, but I'm talking just a normal group of friends playing a simple game together. I'm only toxic as a survivor when I'm either by myself or if the killer camps and tunnels someone. (Because I want the attention to try to give that survivor a chance.)

Survivor: Self Care, was the first and my most favorite but now it's tied between that, Breakdown, and DS.
Killer: BBQ and Chilli and Thanatophobia are both my favorite and first used perks. They are amazing and I run them on every killer.
