Borrowed Time was meant to counter camping killers, for those who don't know. Comparing Borrowed Time to NOED is ridiculous. My suggestion for a NOED change is that if only 1 survivor remains it doesn't active at all. If 2 remain then only the exposed effect activates. If 3 or 4 remain then both movement speed and exposed effect activates. But that's just my opinion everyone is entitled to theirs too.

Again, telling me 10 other perks that also combat genrushing doesn't invalidate Demise as another.
Again you're missing the point. You are fighting me on a perk because you apparently love it. What's the point of Franklin's Demise if there is no toolboxes then, then you'll probably say medkits, keys, and flashlights right. So pretty much survivors just shouldn't have items right? Because trash killers want an easier match, where's the fun in that. I play killer and don't need it, I'm a wraith main and still don't use Franklin's, and flashlights are strong against wraiths.

Listing other perks that can combat genrushing doesn't really invalidate Franklin's Demise as a way to fight against toolboxes.
Well then you apparently don't get the point. Your only validation for Franklin's Demise is to combat genrushing and I told you 10 other perks that do the same thing.

To...combat genrushing via toolboxes?
Thanatophobia, Ruin, Dying Light, Discordance, hell even Tinkerer, Overcharge, Huntress Lullaby, Corrupt Intervention, Thrilling Tremors(as long as they aren't on the gen ik) and Surge all can combat genrushing. Like seriously that's 10 perks. Besides toolboxes survivors have maybe 5 and that's if you want to count This is not happening and Stake Out. Otherwise it's just Leader, Prove Thyself, and Resilience but you have to be injured with that one.

I didn't know using Franklin's Demise was a sign of the Killer being bad/trollish?
I mean why else would you need it. I never had a problem with items as killer.

Franklin's Demise shouldn't exist?
To me honestly it shouldn't, but it is what it is and I deal with it. If a killer is that bad or trollish then go for it. It's all apart of the game. As killer I never use Franklin's Demise except when I wanted the adept Leatherface achievement.
-
It's just stupid and unfair. That's why they die first when I'm playing killer. Sometimes I only kill them and farm with the rest just to punish the sandbaggers.
-
I recorded it and it was intentional. They ran Bond as well so the only way to try to survive is by hiding in a locker, and just hoping they would die first.

I had a post or a comment about that I dont remember, but basically what I was suggesting was to eliminate green map offerings completely and make killers use yellows and Brown map offerings while making survivors only able to use Brown ones. This way no one has a complete choice on where to play.
I can tell you're a killer main. Giving almost complete map control to the killer is unfair, but on the other side it's just going to make SWF play alot more just to choose a specific map. It should just stay the way it is with maps and add on. It's a game.
-
She sold us all out to just to get a free escape and score some easy points. No wonder she got rank 4
-
For the killer mains who think it shouldn't exist think about your NOED, Franklin's Demise (for items), and any other insta-downing perks or power add ons maybe they shouldn't exist. Just saying. Stop crying about DS it's not much of a problem to me as killer. The perks are just part of the game. Deal with it.

If the hitboxes do get fixed... survivors will still cry about em getting hit
I'm guessing you're a killer main then, but I play both sides evenly and even when I'm killer it's just to easy to swipe in the general area of a survivor and get a hit. But when I'm survivor it just feels like I have no chance, I have literally been hit when I'm behind the killer (while the killer is facing the other way) so yeah that's just stupid. And if and when it ever gets fixed then I will be fine nothing really left to say. (other than scummy killers play styles which is not fun but it is what it is and they paid to play so I'm not going to get mad about it.)

Unfortunately there will never be a base amount of time both sides feel is fair. Considering Legion is already deeply boring to face, I honestly think his kit is a lost cause without a rework.
Not really I honestly like the idea of increasing mending time the more you hit them and maybe increase movement speed as well.

Dude your idea doesn't lengthen anything, it only makes survivors have to wait a short amount of time to mend, which Survivors do already, and they can just work on gens until then. Really, Legions ability as a whole is bad and any attempt to make it stronger comes with the downside of either being exploitable or making it a miserable time for survivors.
I'm saying just give it a base amount of time to where both killers and survivors both feel like it's fair. As a survivor making it 30-45 seconds feels alright. But how about every time they get hit with the power the mending time increases by 5 or so seconds. So if it starts off at say 20 seconds by the third hit it's up to 35 seconds and continues to get longer every hit.

Well then they have to rework no Mither too. And even then it's not like it makes it anymore threatening at all. Frankly it just needs to take longer while also not being extensively boring for survivors.
Well after the mend they still need to heal. So it's going to take 2-3 minutes for survivor(s) to get fully healed and that's without the mending time increase add-ons so if it's to take longer than they should take the length of mending add-ons out of the game and just make it a power ability. So it's just a base amount of time that can't be altered with add-ons.
-
No I'm saying for it to stop mending as well. I should of worded it differently.
-
Broken means you can't heal or mend yourself. I mean I am just throwing out ideas. What would you suggest?
-

That actively makes his ability worse since then no one wastes time mending.
What if the broken status effect is there when you're in the TR and then when you escape you still have to mend?

To be fair, devs will add a new status effect just to protect stealth killers against OoO.
Well survivors perk shouldn't be negated either by a killers power but shouldn't also be able to overpower a killer I know there's a downside to alot of the op perks but it should be a strategy on what to use not just throw a bunch of op perks on and demolish an opponent. Doesn't matter if it's a killer or a survivor.

@Pulsar said:
Sounds like you are suffering from peer to peer connection, just like the rest of us. It isn't the hitboxes, it's the fact that your connection to the Killer isn't instant. Dedicated Servers should fix it.
Yeah maybe it just sucks as a survivor really bad and as killer it just takes the fun out because you don't even have to really try. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Its practically the same as that, except Deep wound is safer for the Survivors, so who knows where that could go. Maybe it could cause Exhaustion too for a brief duration?
I don't think a killers power should negate a perk but maybe while broken it could slow the survivors down a bit as well

How about this since everyone wants to compare items to killer add-ons (even though such a comparison is an egregious over exaggeration) without a white ward its lost regardless of winning or not if you don't like this then stop comparing two things that couldn't be any further different from each other
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/632895#Comment_632895
Also like as @Raccoon said if it isnt in your possession its no yours remember that whole 9/10ths of the law saying well you dont have 9/10ths at that point its on the ground its not yours pick it back up voila yours, you weren't denied anything at that point and i haven't proven anything to your point actually I've rake your point drug it to china and kicked it off the wall. The closet approximation to a survivor item is the killer power not the addons (actually item addons are the only similar thing to killer addons hell they even have the same name, addons) survivors can, without perks deny most killers their powers yet killers only have 1 perk to deny survivors their items and without it they are SOL. now stop whining about how you want to declass your items to the level of addons (which I might remind you are also protected by the white ward)
Wow such hostility I'm going off offerings purely what does white wards protect and what does black wards protect. Now do you understand my point of view. Stop being so hostile towards someone because they have an opinion that is different from yours. You're a killer main and I'm split 50/50 we will always have different opinions. We're both entitled to said opinions, so stop acting like a neanderthal.

With a toolbox a single person can do a gen in 53sec-1:10 seconds.
once you get up in rank where people don't run away like idiots when they hear the heartbeat 1-2 people on a gen and they can finish 1-2 before you can even loop the map.
things change with Nurse/Billy/spirit where they have ######### map pressure compared to other killers.
With competent survivors gen rush is an issue, but it's the developers fault not the survivors, they are doing the objective.
oh and it's technically possible to do a gen with 4 people in 10 seconds (1 gen)
it's also technically possible to do a gen in ~16 seconds with 4 people (all gens)
Isn't there a perk to counter multiple people on 1 gen for killers. *cough* *cough* discordance *cough*. And there's also multiple perks to slow gen progression down alot. I run them and no "gen rush". Killer mains need to stop expecting survivors to just stand around and do nothing while letting the killer kill them. Simple. Patrol the gens.

I don't run franklins no point in it, a survivor can easily pick item back up a play Immersed, also assuming I'm a killer main with no survivor experience is quite counter-intuitive on your part, im about 60/40 k/s mostly killer since it poses the greater difficulty, my fiancee is a survivor main as well as ~60% of my DBD group. So don't come off as you are better or know anymore in any way about the survivor role. In my opinion, items are more attuned to killer powers since how drastically they can change gameplay but unlike killer powers, you have to take a perk to deny survivors these items yet survivors can easily deny any killer their power with little dependancy on perks. Also to compare items to killer add-ons would open the suggestion that survivors should lose their items regardless of a win
Ok first of all I never said you didn't play survivor at all, I just said your a killer main which means you play killer more. And as far as you saying that I think I am better or know more that's just a reach because that's how you perceived it not how I wrote it. And for the rest you're just proving my point by stating the exact same thing again. And as for the topic of Franklin's demise I think it would be better to just make it a charge remover perk, where the perk doesn't make it drop just cause it to lose charges everytime they get smacked. Because otherwise what is the point of white ward if the killer has Franklin's demise.
-
Yeah I can see that and understand, but why not just make scratched mirror a pink offering instead because they are still both very powerful add-ons to go against. But since scratched mirror is stronger just change that one to pink. I don't even need to try when I use either one.
-
Just take deep wound completely out of the game. Make it to where if you get hit by legions power it puts you in a broken status effect for like 15-20 seconds. Simple.
-
I ran vanity mirror and I do great always a 3-4k game. Yeah the speed is stupid but you pretty much have wall hacks. That survivor is never going to get away unless you don't have any brains. It's fine as is.

@Zagrid said:
The amount of nerfs that the devs would have to do to the survivor side to balance out the game would be such a long list that no one would ever play survivor, because you will have to put in the effort to win that a killer has to put into winning on a daily basis, and you don't play survivor to put in effort, you play it to get a relaxful DbD game. Wraith, Trapper, Leatherface, you could juke them and run them around for at least 3 min on some maps and on others you could juke them until the end game timer ran out.
Clearly you're a killer main. Unless you're just joking, which I hope you are. I play 50/50 evenly and it can be challenging as killer but that just means your skill doesn't match your opponents, or the rank you're at is currently the highest in accordance to your skill. And as for surviving it can be equally difficult especially if you have teammates who will sell you out to save themselves, or salty people who hate that you are better and team up just to kill you, and all that is on top of the normal everyday challenge to escape.

Right because items are the same as power addons
In a way yeah, add-ons are meant to help your power to kill and items are meant to help you stay alive. They both are to help you win, but killer mains hate anything to help surviors and survivor mains hate anything to help with killers. It's just a circle, and since you seem to be a killer main you will defend Franklin's demise. I play both 50/50 evenly and I never ran Franklin's demise after I got the adept cannibal (Leatherface) achievement.

Consider though that survivors who escape typically get to keep their items. Killers always lose their add-ons no matter what.
That's what black ward is for just saying. I play killer and survivor equally, and it's just not fair to me that survivor's lose an item.
-
Me personally I don't run Franklin's demise because I play fair. To me killers who do need it are either really bad or just total dbags. Because a killer can take a survivor's item but the survivor can't take their power add-ons. But this is just my personal opinion.
