I understand why they changed Prayer Beads. I understand that Yakuyoke Amulet was a strong add-on, but I don't understand why they nerfed it so hard. And I don't understand why they nerfed a dozen of her other add-ons.
I don't like that they took away collision in her basekit. If you can't track via sound, she's completely blind during Haunting. There were only two weeks during the past year+ I've been playing the game where audio was balanced in such a way that I could use sounds to track survivors. Otherwise, I'm always just playing a guessing game when phase walking.
Has anyone seen The Spirit vault, yet? Did they keep that ridiculous version where she crawls through the window like a monkey, or did they fix it so it doesn't look so comically awful?
She has the same animation as Freddy when vaulting.
-
Just scrap Deep Wounds altogether.
-
Overall, she's still good. I don't like the changes made to her post lunge speed, nobody asked for that.
Additionally, the changes to the Amulet offer you less overall distance, or so it seems.
Collision will be sorely missed.
The vault animation might not seem like a big deal, but it is huge at certain loops which can be run as nigh god loops on 110% Killers.

There was never a reverse. Previously it took the average rank of 4 survivors. Now it takes the highest rank and matchmaking is based on that. No matter if you have 3 new friends on rank 20. "what, you just bought the game 10 minutes ago? Just deal with the sweaty rank 1 killer 4head, git gud noob" I guess
Yeah legit one big reason I can't play with friends is this. Not fun versing p3 rank 1 sweaty spirit when my friends just recently bought the game just because I'm the only red rank survivor in the whole squad.
Wasn't fun for a Rank 17 Killer to get bullied by two red ranks, a green and a white rank.
Sucks to have the shoe on the other foot, doesn't it? At least Killers aren't intentionally abusing this like some SWF's would.
This happened to my brother a while back, I had to jump in because I had personally played against 3/4 of that group at Rank 3.

@SleepyWillo said:
I just played in red ranks. A red rank brought his 2 friends. Both were rank 20. One had only 2 perks. It's not fun and it's not fair that they get matched with red rank players.
And the reverse is fair?

In my experience, Xbox NA Rank 1, he is still very bad if the Survivors are decent.
If they heal, he wins. Unfortunately, we have a no heal meta. Also, it is still extremely hard to hit FF on some maps on console, I get maybe 10 FPS on Red Forest.
-
This isn't any worse than the Wake Up exploit or the Sprint Burst exploit. Were any people banned? Nope.
Besides, the odds of getting a basement hook are very low.
-
Yeah, he feels terrible on console.
I am glad I didn't buy him and tested him out with a friend first. He is just awful.

I was going to play tomorrow before work since I am pretty tired tonight.
Gonna wait and see if a hot fix comes in the next two days.
I won’t play with this game breaking trash in their update. I suggest others not to as well.
It really isn't a big deal. The odds of a Killer getting a Survivor in the basement is fairly low.
It isn't like the Wake Up bug, where it increased all action speeds by 15% (i think) including vaulting and repairing.
-
Haven't hopped into a game yet, but I haven't heard good things about The Oni on console.

I have not seen a single person complaining about console getting the cosmetics or wanting them to be PC exclusive.
If you read the Release Information carefully, you'll notice that the developers decided not to give out the event-exclusive cosmetics from Howling Grounds or Summer BBQ to anyone, regardless of platform, except for those that earned them during the relevant events.
Both console and PC should receive all the other promised cosmetics with the new patch.
Actually, despite his overreaction, there were a lot of people upset that console players were getting PC exclusives.
-
Cannot say I am happy with the Legion changes but hey, at least they haven't been forgotten, like Clown.
-
@GrootDude said:

Just like clown, legions power still doesn’t do much.
But the maximum potential of Clown's bottles will still do more than the maximum potential of Feral Frenzy. Frenzy exists for the stall. Clown's bottles cut off loops, which can result in fast downs. Frenzy will result in downs, it won't even help.
I do agree though, BHVR needs to look at Clown too, I just don't know where to start with him.

@GrootDude said:

Clown is the weakest killer. The perk worked fine on other killers, the problem was one certain killer so it would be logical to do something to fix that problem.
Clown is certainly down there. However, at least his power DOES something useful. His bottles do cut off loops, it just so happens that there are too many loops. Legion, on the other hand, cannot do anything about loops. He can do something about healing which, well, isn't something good Survivors do much anyway.
-
@GrootDude said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/885846#Comment_885846
But if the update came out, more moonwalking legions would’ve came.
That doesn't matter. They could have changed the perks, instead, they nerfed the weakest Killer in the game rather than rework the perks.
-

Beast of prey, tinkerer, dark devotion and nemesis all work. Memes are supposed to be funny, getting moonwalked by legion isn’t funny.
Notice how I said Live, Dark Devotion lasts exactly as long as the DW timer. It is gimmicky at best, I haven't seen many Legion players using it. Maybe three people, EVER.
-
Change Deep Wounds to Frenzied Slashes status effect.
FS causes Survivors to suffer from Hemorrhage and grunts of pain are significantly louder. Additionally, FS causes repairing and personal healing speed to be decreased slightly to moderately, depending on if you hit the Survivor once or twice. Healing others and yourself is affected by FS, not others healing you.
FS goes away when you heal one health state.
Movement speed and vault speeds go back to their original values. Cooldown stays at 4 seconds.
All of the add-ons stay the same except for:
Frank's Mixtape
Now tremendously extends FF duration.
Stab Wound Study
Takes moderately longer to heal FS, no time limit but will not stack.
This is just something rough I just came up with.
-
Haddonfield. Even with the BL nerfs, it is still terrible. After that, Rotten Fields and Yamaoka.
-
@GrootDude said:
Tbf, they did need to do something about legion and no TR perks but I’d like other parts of them buffed.
There was only one perk on Live that could do that and often times it lost you the game.
It was for a meme build of TRYING TO GET LEGION'S POWER TO WORK. That should tell you a lot. Legion has no use, people don't heal and his power offers zero slowdown anymore. They need to scrap Deep Wounds and figure something else out.
-
So, what is the point of Deep Wounds?
Like, legitimately.
-
We need to be able to get the same sensitivity on console as on PC
-
Why?

yeah you are really lucky that you dont have deal with dedicated hit and many others things
Instead, we get approximately 3 FPS when using Feral Frenzy and a total of 16 frames when we play on Red Forest.
And a ton of lag. Dedicated Servers genuinely look like just a regular day on consoles.
-
Yes, they do. I have definitely heard it before, mostly while discussing a potential full Nurse rework.

They explained the logic behind the fatigue/cooldown in the Q&A stream. They didn't want to increase fatigue because the way the camera moves during the fatigue animation can be a bit nauseating for the player if prolonged, but they also didn't want to remove fatigue altogether because they wanted the survivors to still have that small window to break LOS and juke the killer.
Then a cooldown would have been enough. Survivors don't need to break LoS. Run in a straight line, that's the best method.
-
The cooldown hasn't really hurt her chase potential, I think it is pretty clear it was meant as a nerf to her overall map-wide pressure.
I suppose the devs looked at the other Killers and decided that extremely good map pressure AND extremely good chase potential wasn't a good mix.
Still doesn't explain why they couldn't have just increased fatigue OR just ditched fatigue altogether for the cooldown mechanic.
-
It's been about 2 months since I've played against a camper. Tunneling doesn't exist.

The post phase speed was because she would travel gigantic distances with it.
With the 2 add ons that increase it, she would lunge by the range of a hill.
I think the base speed was fine.

People exaggerate Legion, Nurse, and Spirit changes, then assume BHVR is going to gut any killer they say are going to rework or is over performing.
In reality, BHVR doesn't always gut killers, and when they do, gutting is exaggerating what exactly they did to that killer. Most changes BHVR made towards killers is for making things balanced and fun for everyone. They just buffed Legion and made Freddy a beast a while ago — Ghostface got a significant buff too. The community, not everyone, tends to only see the bad of BHVR more than the good because it's easier to look at someone's mistakes than look at their success.
I said too much, bracing for impact! 😕
Legion got nerfed. Making his mostly useless power slightly better, but taking away any synergy, is not a buff.
The Freddy rework was very good.
The Nurse changes were awful. Nobody asked for a basekit nerf and she feels miserable to play.
Spirit changes are weird, they are all fine, but I don't get the changes to the Amulet or her post-phase speed.

Why queue up if you're not going to play the game you're dealt?
Is fun only defined by being able to win, no questions asked?
Getting BM and having a low chance of doing well isn't what I would consider fun.

@Pulsar in 2 of those games there were no items, no 3/4 men swf, those spirits wanted to show their small E-pen
thats why i would love to see casual que to dodge those BS (que with green, purple, red stuff blocked) and only way around that is running plunders on surv (yup i talking about blocking droping keys unless surv has plunders)
They more than likely had terrible games on Trapper, Clown, Legion ect ect

"a lot of killers want to have casual game" so do I, this night its my 5th spirit(in 3hours btw) with ebony mori (and at most i played with 1 friend) i want casual que so i dont have to play vs sweaty derps (today i played only as surv, but i play both roles equally and keep myself on rank 8 just to not play as much vs self proclaimed "competitive" gamers (on both sides)
People play Spirit as a result of people running toolboxes, who run toolboxes because of Spirit. It's a vicious cycle.

Then go play a completely different game.
I am sorry that I enjoy playing this game. If I could give a way for Survivors to opt out of Mori's, I would. However, I am NOT going to sit and get meme'd on and BM'd after the match.

Is it too much to ask for killers to suck it up so players don't have to wait 30 minutes to play a 10 minute game?
Yes, it is. Why play a game if you aren't going to have fun?
-
Is it hurting anyone to dodge? A lot of Killers just want to have a casual game, not a tryhard mess.
Personally, I don't usually dodge. If I see four toolboxes, I'll bring Franklin's and some good add-ons, maybe a Ivory Mori.
-
No, it is not reportable. Unless he specifically targets that Survivor every game, it is not reportable.
That being said, not a very cash monry thing to do.
-
Rancor will only work when all 5 gens are completed. If you close hatch before all 5 gens are done, it will not trigger.
It can only be used on the Obsession.

If he does get banned, we will have our confirmation.

Pennywise.
I just despise the idea of him coming to DBD.

I play both sides and I think they need to shift away from cooldowns.
Neither Blood Echo or Any Means Neccesary are that strong. Take away the cooldown, if they are, put the cooldown back.

Unfortunately, at least at higher ranks, Ghost Face players practically never use the stalking mechanic for Ghost Face. They use a play style popularized by streamers, in that you use his stealth to get right up on unsuspecting Survivors.
And with any other Stealth killer, there's a least some sort of audio and/or visual cue when they come out of stealth to give you at least a chance to react. The same can't be said for Ghost Face.
I'd wager that, when Ghost Face was originally being designed, perhaps the developers weren't expecting such a play style to become the meta.
Spine Chill hurts him massively. Also, look at him. Boom, now he can't use his power for 30 seconds.

Nurse Is fine look at the stats,
Tome challenge are fine too, just go there and good luck, Is not something supposed to be easy, especially in lv 3 and 4
But they are supposed to be possible. Some of the challenges promote a pretty unfun playstyle.
As for Nurse, she is absolutely terrible to play. Good? Yes. Fun to play? No.

Thank you for asking.
I would do rotating events where you have a separate queue. 2 killers vs 8 survivors. Some type of event based around basement.
I would never release another perk that increases the gen time or progress bar simulator for this game. We already have enough to stare at.
I would remove the wallhack aspect of BBQ and Chili.
Billy's chainsaw has a cool down attached to it. So he can't constantly reee reee everywhere. You have to make a tactical decision when to use it.
I would remove legion.
I would decrease head on windup time from 3 seconds to 2 seconds
I would combine kindred/we're going to live forever or kindred/borrowed time.
I would increase density and objects of many dead areas in maps, so there are more opportunities for stealth.
I would remove fake pallets from the game.
I would double the cool-down of freddies teleportation.
That's it. That's what I would do.
Certainly, the gen times are both fast and slow at the same time. What needs to be done, imo, is make it longee but WAY more interactive. I do play both sides at red ranks, it isn't that fun sitting on gens and doing totems. This will make either group happy, as it will take longer to escape, but, it might actually be fun.
I would argue BBQ already has plenty of counters for the aura reading, would you rather encourage Killers to camp?
Why would you remove Legion, he's already getting nerfed again 😂.
Billy is supposed to have a ton of map pressure but mediocre chase potential. Junglw gyms prevent him from using his chainsaw at all. God fodbid he gets Lery's or Hawkins.
Fake pallets are fine, imo, Small Game counters them, actually. Plus, the snares are better. Most good Survivors will fall for them once, then just go to the windows.
I would like another game mode, whether it be competitive or a 2v8 like you suggested. However, that would split the playerbase and I certainly don't want to be playing Lobby Simulator 2019 BEFORE playing Doing Gen Simulator 2019.
