My buddy recommended it to me, got stomped by a 4 man (3 red ranks) SWF of Claudette's with flashlights on my first game, took a break, came back and I haven't left since.

Add some more voices to the character's like Ash has.
It would be great if Kate could sing some of her greatest hits whilst in the trials such as 'Dance with Me' or 'Windows of Opportunity' or even just murmur them under her breath.
I'd love to see that, seems like a big time investment tho

For me the changes are great because the main problem I had with legion was that they just felt slow, I like the speed increase and love the vault speed increase, the pin to inflict broken is fun and I genuinely had a great time on a cold wind map running :
Discordance - underrated as hell
Thana - because I don't have ruin or pop
Nurses calling - due to the broken it'd cause this to proc in more favorable situations. Like not when I'm carrying a surivor
BBQ - muh bloodpoints
Discordance is underated.
Thana is pretty bad, though, if people are spending time to heal it is already.
Nurse's Calling isn't thar useful on Legion. They have plenty of time to stop healing and run since Legion has a 32m TR and mending doesn't count as healing.
BBQ is great because much BP AND information.

"yup I can’t even get into red ranks so I don’t have have to deal with my trash teammates when they’re the ones keeping me in low ranks"

The sooner you accept it isn't your teammates, the sooner you will get out of those ranks.

While it is a playstyle, it is very rude to do to someone.
Their choice to do it.
Not your choice to tell them what they can and can't do.

Wrong. It's more of a killer explaining how they have fun even though it's toxic and people supporting them, but a survivor talks about how there should be more variety and less toxicity and them getting put down for it.
That is not true. Camping IS a playstyle. Fun? Not really, but it is a playstyle.
Telling Killers what they can and cannot do is NOT a playstyle. That's being controlling and entitled.

I would like new cosmetics that I can use on all characters. Ex; Claudettes fancy dress on Janes curvy frame would look nice, though Claudette does do it justice.
I would like each killer to have unique chase music like Freddy, Demopuppy, Oni and Michael have.
More objectives for survivors, such as having to fix powerlines or something.
I want a Mindflayer type of killer from Dungeons and Dragons, and I want him to float like Nurse, but I want him to emit smoke as well.
Michael, David and Dwight need a speedo only outfit, though this would go with my first want.
A new game mode, but I understand how hard that would be.
I wanted a "no" head shake and a creepy "yes" head nod emotes for killers, but I kinda like how killers do it now.
I want an It skin for the clown. I don't think we need the actual "It" in the game.
I like these!

More ways to emote as a survivor. Sometimes pointing/beckoning isn't enough or doesn't properly express what I want to say XD

There is a add-ons matchbox that's increase the movement speed to 105% but at the cost of one blink. Put fragile wheeze with it and she's pretty much a threat.
Big cooldown : is 4s long, Legion cooldown is 24s that is a big cooldown. if 4s is too much you can still use dark cinture and fragile wheeze that make the nurse pretty much the same as before.
As for the race between huntress and nurse i can guarantee that nurse still have faster movement speed by far. Hillbilly always have been superior in term of mobility due to having low cooldown and no fatigue.
I'll test it later.

Slower than Huntress you say that because of his walk speed or because you refuse to blink. She still move 333% (13,33 m/s) or 30m of distance with both blinks. She's still the strongest killer in the game.
If you try to blink to the other side of the map, Huntress will arrive first since Nurse has a big cooldown.
Nurse needs 105% MS.
-
He thiccccc
-
I do not think she is the strongest anymore. The basekit changes were to reduce one thing, map pressure.
She traverses the map slower than Huntress. That makes Spirit and Billy better options, imo.
-
How did he take the game hostage?

Oh it’s possible I ran into a guy who admitted to lag switching on Xbox just because it doesn’t seem like they can’t doesn’t mean they can’t does however make me wonder why people do such a thing to gain the advantage but it gets me when they don’t pay attention to ping In lobby then wrongly accuse someone of lag switching when they don’t Iv had that happen to me before and Iv never lag switched because I’d like to play the game normally and win if I win lose if I lose
Possible? Yes. Easy? No. It takes effort that most people aren't willing to put in.
Most people who get accused of lagswitching are just lagging :/
-
Gen rushing and tunneling are different sides of the same coin.
Both sides realize what makes their chances of winning higher.
-
Doubt it was a lagswitch. They are hard to make and are difficult to use on consoles. Point taken tho
-
None of these are good changes.
-
I've been keeping track of when I see an Ebony. I haven't seen one since the Mid-Chapter patch went live.
I've seen 10+ yellow one's and two Ivory's.
On the other hand, I have seen a ton of keys and toolboxes.
-
It is good now, consistent with the other Exhaustion perks.
-
Nurse lost most of her map pressure. So, I consider her the best in-chase Killer, out of chase, she is bad.
I play on Console, so I am having a hard time seeing how Oni is any good.
Still love Spirit, even though she got really screwed up with that weird nerf to post phase speed.

@immortalls96 are you ok?
Thana dont need buff (because it has its niche like legion, plague, certain freddy build)
plague and GF are in good spot atm (well im kinda ify about players that play him like myers and stalk you on your face)
dying light what kind of feedback you mean? its great perk and its one of best perk rework they made, if anything i would rather make so thana, dying light and other % slowdown dont stack with each other so forever freddy wont be a thing
about nurse rework i love it, it made playing her more punishable for bad players(base kit) and omega + 3 blink nurses are dead and thats great
maybe they dont listen to that feedback because they know its just whiny feedback?
@se05239 if you think they dont care what do you even do here? btw majority of ppl here dont know how is it to play on other side and there is other chunk of ppl that believes in everything their fav streamer tells and youre telling me devs should make sth just because (for example) 2k ppl took some words from streamer as given without using brain and are spreading that
OFC they made many questionable decisions (like giving away those skins) but pretty much always some ppl will be happy some will be upset, when you use argument "they pushed update with gamebreaking bug" at 1st they fixed it pretty soon, 2nd you dont want to see sh.. storm when they wouldnt launch dlc
Thana does need a buff. It's numbers are simply bad.
Dying Light is a garbage perk on its own. The Obsession should not get any bonus nor should the effect be canceled when they die.
Base Plague and base GhostFace are not good. They can both have their powers completely denied by Survivors, not fun.
Almost everyone agreed Nurse's omega blink and 5 blink add-ons needed to go. Nobody asked for a basekit nerf that killed any map pressure she had.
Not to mention nobody asked for Legion to be nerfed, again.

Sorry but there's not a larger distance between basement hooks and other hooks. Unless you're literally already in the basement, or inside a relatively closed off building where the basement is... going to another hook isn't a risk. In fact, killers more often than not will go out of their way to hook in basement even if they could easily hook elsewhere.
Basement hooks, even before the bug, built a ton of pressure and put the Survivors in a position they often did not want to be in.
-
It isn't an anti-tunnel perk. It is an anti-momentum perk. I have thought that for quite some time, as slugging a Survivor is not the same as picking them up and hooking them.
The only changes I would like to see are three main things.
1.) The timer ends when you hook someone else.
2.) The timer does NOT end if you are slugged.
3.) The timer ends when you are fully healed.

That's correct, no Dedicated Servers on console. I had suspected that was the issue.
-
@TreSen said:
Just played around with this issue myself and I believe there is another fix rather than just setting your scaling to 100% in Display Settings.
You may also navigate to the DbD install location (Steam: ..\steamapps\common\Dead by Daylight) and right click for Properties, click "Change settings for all users", "Change high DPI settings", then check "Override high DPI scaling behavior." and set the following option to "Application".
Apply and exit. The game should behave as if you did set it scaling to 100% but you don't have to actually change it every time you open and close the game. Would love to know if this works for anyone else.
Why the necro?

I've played since release. I've watched the trajectory of this game for sometime.
The reality is that many survivor mains left this game a long time ago or migrated to survivor/killer. The devs 100% have a killer bias, all their marketing is surrounding it. Survivors are just reskins.
That's why this forum and the dbd reddit before it have so many killer focused players and why it feels like survivors are expected to just 'suck it up', lest they become 'yet another salty survivor'.
That simply isn't true. Both sides have had buffs and nerfs. The Devs have been remarkably even.
If they destroy one thing from one side (Legion) they destroy another from the other (MoM).
It is incredibly foolish to think the Devs are sided one way or another, though, I'm starting to think they just don't like Legion.

@alphaholic said:

They definitely can, they choose not to. It's not like they've never banned for exploits or explicitly stated that deliberate exploits were bannable.
But the precedent set is that they make an announcement and then they start banning.
-
@FearedbytheGods said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/896631#Comment_896631
That's a round about way of dealing with it and according to the rules the best way to do it. What you need to understand is that rules are a system of control. I understand that without rules we have chaos. But then what you need to understand is that some rules that are designed to control can have a bias weather intentional or not.
My point still stands, if survivors are d/c from miserable games it speaks volumes because you're saying that you refuse to participate in that, therefore the devs need to change it (or ramp up the banning). That's what it comes down too.
If I have a miserable game as Legion (90% of games) I should DC so that the Devs buff him?
Of course not, that would be silly.
-
Speedo Myers....
-
@FearedbytheGods said:
It's the elephant in the room. The devs will ban, time out etc but fail to address core issues like this.
The reality is that if the devs are creating miserable environments for survivors to participate in..... well, why WOULD you stay? Because of some morale posturing about 'screwing over team mates' or 'it's against the rules'. LOL, please, it's a game, half the decisions the devs have made they expect you to simply engage with it, even if it makes for a miserable experience.
OP if you continued to engage in this scenario, you would be telling everyone that the experience you had was OK. Which it wasn't.
To make an extreme example, if someone shoots my friend, is it okay for me to shoot someone unrelated to that?
I am not denying the fact that this was breaking the rules, but there were other actions OP should have taken if they truly wanted them banned. Ultimately, @mmain nothing can change the fact that you and them both broke the rules. The only thing you can do is record the footage and send in a support ticket, I can give you a link if this happens again.
-
Haven't had an issue on consoles.

And those were scummy survivors. But that's my point, one doesn't excuse the other. Trash gameplay is trash gameplay. The argument that it's okay because survivors did something similar is just bogus.
Correct. However, that is also one reason why they cannot ban for it.

Once again it is right there in the original post. If you thought they sprinted away you weren't paying any attention to the op. It specifically says the killer picked me up, walked away and the other survivor followed.
And, in the original post, you did not say that the Killer was staring at them as they unhooked you. Basically, I'm in the same boat as @twistedmonkey context is important and now that you've given more, it does sound like they were working together.
You should have recorded it.
-
@mmain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/895865#Comment_895865
Actually that was not added information. It was all in the original post. Copied and pasted the pertinent section from the op below.
" The killer walked right by this survivor and didn't even bother to take a swing at them. He then opened the locker where I was and pulled me out and walked away. The other survivor followed. As soon as I was hooked the same survivor walked up and unhooked me. Once again the killer didn't even bother to take a swing at them, but hit me immediately."
"Walked up" that made me think he had sprinted away, not followed the Killer.
-
No, it is not. Teaming with the Killer is. Selling out your teammates is not. Farming is not.
However, the OP has added information not present in the original post stating that the Killer made no move to attack the farming Survivor and stood there and watched. THAT does constitute as teaming, the original scenario did not as it seemed like OP had a douche teammate then got farmed.
-
@mmain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/895486#Comment_895486
This survivor pointed me out. The killer hit me, hung me, and allowed the other survivor to unhook me. The killer then hit me again and was in the process of picking me up. This all happened without the killer ever once taking a swing at this other survivor. I don't give flying $%#& if was pre-planned or a random. They were still working together. Trying to claim they weren't working together if it wasn't pre planned is ludicrous. If you are working on your car and your neighbor walks out and just starts helping you without it being planned ahead of time would you claim the two of you weren't working on your car together because it wasn't planned ahead of time?
That completely changes it. In the OP, it seemed like the Survivor pointed you out, then came back and farmed you. Now, you are adding more info which is good, it would be classified as working together and the Survivor should be banned, since the Killer made no move against him.

Then about 75 people in my games in the last two weeks should be banned.
