What about the patch where they removed a bunch of god windows and made a lot of maps smaller?
We are ignoring that, of course.
I just wanna know why they added in the god window to Groaning Storehouse again

As others have said, there is no aim assist on Console.
What you are experiencing is Trickster's nonsensical recoil.
-
On Console yeah, he is.

That has to be a bug. I refuse to believe this is intended, even for BHVR this would be insane if it was intentional design.
Legion loses his power on a successful M1, I wouldn't say it's impossible.

Kinda like if you can do a gen or fully heal, you aren't being tunneled

The issue is nurse and spirit offer almost no counterplay. There is a difference between rewarding someone for being good and making it almost impossible to lose if you are good.
What's the counterplay to a SWF squad?
......oh yeah

Not true actually. Nurse is extremely toxic because if the nurse player knows what they are doing there is no counterplay and the same can be said for spirit not to mention those two killers along with bubba are played so often that no one wants to play against them anymore.
I disagree. It isn't toxic.
If you, personally, think that people daring to play a certain character is toxic, then be my guest.
-
@fr0sty1223 said:
What killer are you playing and what perks are you using? Certain perks/killers are seen as incredibly toxic and unfun to play against so people will dc against them if they get downed.
It's literally against the rules.
It doesn't matter how you are playing.

Tunneling shouldnt exist in the first place, stop telling survivors to run a perk every game just to combat a d*ck move by the killer
Why shouldn't it?
It's a viable strategy, just like slamming gens.
-
Normally you have hot takes.
This is just a wrong take.

Huntress gets screwed out of just as many hits. It's bad for both sides.

Aren't those two the literally only killer sided reworked maps?
The rest have better pallet spawns as well as more of them in most the cases.
I don't mind Asylum maps, but oh boy Gideon is awful. There are no joke at least 7 god pallets guaranteed to spawn.

same! I will also have a soft spot for little chibi Wraith art that I find on Twitter.
I'm also loving playing him since his recent changes, although the bugged lunge is frustrating me a little.
I'd love to play Blight because he's so much fun to play but I am absolutely useless with him and get really disorientated.

What about M O N K E

@Mandy said:
This is such a difficult question to answer because fun is so subjective for people. I'm a Wraith main, because I adore Wraithy boi and have a lot of fun playing as him...however, that's purely my opinion. You need to find what's going to be fun for you to play, what killer works with your particular playstyle for example. I also love playing Legion, but that's because I love zooming around the map smacking people :)
I started the game playing Wraith, I will always have a soft spot for him :)

The core functionality of DS has not changed.

That is not true at all. It's not fully healing someone, but you can as much as barely touch someone and it deactivates. Meanwhile, the Spirit has phased back to tunnel. Very, very bad designed now.
It is very unhealthy now because it forces you to do nothing in case you might want to use it. Why would something that is supposed to be a "perk" penalize someone for playing the game? It's almost like something you should inherently have without it being a perk. Does BBQ penalize a killer for playing the game? Nope, they get to see auras and get extra points.
Thank you Sluzzy, very cool.

Killers wouldnt want to use those perks. People talk a lot about survivor meta, but killers also have a meta that they dont change from much.
I killer shouldn't be rewarded for not tunneling. They should be punished for it. Like survivors can be punished for "genrushing" if noed is in game.
Disagree.
What's more effective at stopping camping, BT or BBQ?
BBQ gives the Killer info in order to not camp, but it also informs them on when they should stick around.
You'd have to rebalance the entire game in order to dissuade Killers from tunneling. It's their best strategy.

Dweet when he gets found in a locker hiding from BBQ

What would you purpose to change it then? A longer stun?
I wouldn't change it at all.
If people actually want to discourage Killers from tunneling, they need to incentivize not tunneling. As it stands, tunneling one Survivor out ASAP is the best strategy for Killer.
Give the Killers some perks that encourage spreading out damage. I doubt that will help tho, as it would have to be a monstrously powerful perk to compete with the pressure put on Survivors in a 3v1

You speak like the devs care about solo players. I wish.
That key issue is why I already dodge lobbys as surv when I see someone has a key. More often than not people just leave you to die.
i wish they cared about solo's and console players

Or just make it activate on both hook stages so it actually punishes the killer.
Like you said, if the Killer wants you dead, a 5 second stun isn't a big deal.
-
They are being changed.
What else do you want?
-
@Enlyne said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2067762#Comment_2067762
A 5 sec stun won't stop a tunneling killer if they still have a beef with you for some reason.
DS won't stop tunneling or even deter since it seems like every time a killer sees a DS pop up, they get angrier and try to kill you even more.
Okay? So then DS needed changed even more because it really was just a perk that guaranteed progress on a gen.
If you want to fix tunneling, you have to completely redesign the game.

Yes, and how that is going to make people with DS heal me in solo Q? I feel like you missed the point on what I was trying to say.
Just because someone isnt being tunneled, doesn't mean they wont want to save their DS.
DS is supposed to be an anti-tunneling perk. These new changes confirm that.
You shouldn't get to keep it if you aren't being tunneled.
-
If you have time to fully heal someone, you aren't being tunneled.
That's it.

We do like the DS nerf.

People aren't running it because it NEVER helped against tunneling. And now, killer mains see "DS nerf = I can tunnel". At least before the nerf, they had the fear of DS keeping most killers from tunneling.
If it didn't help, why run it?
Unlessss, it wasn't to prevent tunneling.

Meanwhile I hope it gets buffed to not being affected by TR, rather by raw distance
My idea was for it to be distance and time based.
If the Killer is within X distance for X seconds, BT can be activated
-
I just hope BT gets nerfed.
I hate the design of that perk,it rewards unskillful play and does literally nothing against camping.

Now you’re just making things up, where did I bring up the old DS?
The threat of DS has nothing to do with actually bringing it and getting value from it.
"It's easy to tunnel and not be hit by DS"
Unless you meant new DS, in which case you should have specified.

That's a pretty small sample size.
While I do think there are probably few Trickster players, we can't come to a conclusion based off of 30 games.

I was really apprehensive posting this.
I usually give the devs benefit of doubt, and defend A LOT of decisions, looking at balance choices from BOTH sides. That, and I’ve been around long enough to know that it’s unwise to make brash judgments on a killer until a few months after their release.
But I can’t fathom how Trickster came to be. This power is... actually a detriment to the player. It is so insanely difficult to achieve injured states or downs with the knives. And all a survivor needs to do is get behind something (how skill based).
I know fun is subjective, BUT i’d guess a great deal of players choosing to play killer, and their idea of fun is to get SOME semblance of a regular result from using the killers power.
The first Killer whose power actively hurts them since Legion, and we all know how loved he was.

I am not saying that perk was good for killers. But there is 4 survivors and they all doing gens. How fair with tunnel then? If you tunnel same survivor, will others stop doing gens? So what is different you chasing same survivor? That is just because you will kill him. And survivors will lose number. Good for killer and it is good tactic against gen rush. But game is not fun for who get tunnelled. DS can save him/her once but if this survivor wanna protect of ds, he/she will need to do not anything becuase if do anything ds will go. And also this is not fun. Because of that i will not keep this perk on my builds anymore. Because that perk now forcing me to be useless. And that giving advantage to killers because they know now so many people removed that perk.
Perk had to nerf but hard like that? No. Maybe keep nerf and buff it little. DS can be active later all after hooks. So if survivor get hard tunnel, he will have chance to survive. And if he will not get tunnel he can do survivor stuffs. Devs nerfed it hardly but they didnt think about this perk is going to be useless. Sad.
The nerf is fine.
If you find it so egregious then perhaps you were relying on it too much.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2063363#Comment_2063363
You dont know what is point lol
Old DS was also useless. But you never know is survivor has DS or not. That was scary for killer. That is why tunnelling was less. Survivors were using that because they knew they will be safe for minute because of DS. But now if you use this perk you cant do anything. So it is waste of slot and there is not point keep it on builds. And killers also know that, that is why they are not scaring from this perk now. Because it is just one stun they will lose. After this they can kill survivor and DS cant save them anymore.
And for SWF. This perk nerfed because of them. But surprise they still using this perk. When one of them get unhook they trying to force killer to tunnel. Others fixing gens. And ofcourse they are safe with 4 DC. They are just wasting killer time. And there is still Unbreakable + DS combo. So really DS nerf solved what? It made game worse for solo experince and solo exp was already terrible.
The perk was nerfed because it was unhealthy for the game.
How is 60 seconds of immunity (3/4 of a gen) fair?
-
@Mugombo said:

So now you know I’m right your changing the subject to the old DS. Okay then.
I never said that. You were the one who brought up old DS.
The mere threat of DS stopped a lot of Killers from tunneling. That alone is worth taking. Plus, you could get 60 seconds of immunity for being unhooked.
-
@Mugombo said:

Lol it’s easy to tunnel without being hit by DS.
And besides I didn’t even mention that, I was answering the question of why wouldn’t you run DS in a build
It was easy to not tunnel and still eat a DS.
