Well we've seen how MMR for some reason, on and off, has an inverse effect on the opponents you get. You and streamers who claim to win non-stop never seem to get survivors who just plow through gens. Gen speed is more powerful than looping ability. You can have amazing loopers and still beat them, but that's because they didn't do gens quick. Why, if 1 team can do 5 gens in 5 minutes or less, can your survivors not manage to do 5 gens in 7 or 8 minutes? They're over-emphasizing healing, or walking around, but they ain't doing gens like they could be.
My survivors? They'll push gens while injured, or they'll heal up and still do them fast. They'll bring 1 boon or multiple, obviously featuring CoH. They'll split the map, methodically, almost always pushing the middle gen first, even while they're sitting in my TR. They hold forward, and will scarcely not know how to run shack or a jungle gym for maximum value, and they keep the pallet up. They'll run meta perks, could be 4 collectively, could be 16 collectively. They will push gens while injured and on death hook, with no body blocker, rather than fearing for their life. Any time they get an endgame save, they never screw up and give a hook trade.
I may make a mistake here or there, but I'm running the loops right, I'm playing killers people say can win, I'm running the right perks, and I'm pressuring the gens. Why do I lose off of that so consistently? It's indicative of a game that requires you to play like a perfect bot to even have a chance against equally skilled opponents, even when they're not expected to display perfection.
I honestly don't believe you but that's okay.
Statistically, you are NOT getting those teams every game.

Because they are immature. They queued up to play a match, and because it did not go how they wanted it, they threw the game and ruined it from being a normal game experience for everyone else.
Or IRL situation cropped up/cheater/game-breaking bug like being permanently stuck inside the hill. IRL situations will usually mean you’re away for longer than the timer anyways. Anti-cheat is being improved on. Gamebreaking bugs can now be killswitched for thankfully (eg disabling the map entirely).
Okay.
Not even close, but it sure explains a lot about your mindset.

It can be fixed though? Hook suiciding becomes impossible if you remove the self-unhook attempt penalty and skillchecks don’t affect time.
And you have this weird idea that the game is dying. It really isn't. Immature people will be able to DC as per usual.
All you're doing is treating symptoms.
Try to address the root issue.
Why do people want out of matches?
-
@SuzuKR said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3212924#Comment_3212924
Okay, and?
Either way, a hook suicide throws the match, especially early. The difference is DCing at least makes them sit in timeout for a while if they keep doing it, and sandbagging/AFKing is reportable and can lead up to a permanent ban.
I'd rather not try to solve a problem that can't be fixed.
I'd rather address WHY people leave matches and minimize the damage it causes instead of trapping them in a game that they don't want to be in.
If you want to kill off what's left of the casual playerbase, I'd invite you to continue.
-
@SuzuKR said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3212909#Comment_3212909
Oh no, having to wait out a whole 60s in return for removing the possibility of hook suiciding being possible to ruin games ever again, the horror.
People will DC more and go AFK.
They'll hop in and out of lockers, drop pallets, sandbag teammates. Whatever they need to do in order to get out of the match faster, they'll do.
-

No. It may seem that way in solo. If they're on gens, and you don't see them just walking around or running straight at the killer when you see their auras from hook, they're being efficient.
I'm hearing different from what I'm seeing in-game. I go for hooks, no other strategy, I get no kills. I go for tunneling and 2-hooking, I get a kill or 2. There's none of this pie in the sky scenario where you just go for random chases and get 4ks off just that, because you don't even get 4ks off tunneling and camping unless the survivors just decide they don't want to punish you.
You must only play comp teams because most of my Killer games end in 4K's, even when my play didn't deserve the outcome I got.

Why should I have to? I paid for the game, I'd like to play it, if the last person is hiding and I can go to the next game I'll opt for that, good luck telling console players to tab out btw.
So glad I'll never be like this as a killer lmao.
Hit home, close the game, play something better and not care about a 5 minute penalty.
That is the console way.

That's kind of how I thought it would be. It seems MMR is better at generally matching Killers with survivors but my impression is that a lot of people get teammates that don't have a basic understanding of what to do for some reason.
Most likely, as @dugman stated, lobby dodging and queue backfilling is creating more issues. Before, an iri or purple ranked Survivor teammate would have guaranteed at least a basic understanding of what to do and I don't think a bronze Survivor would have been queued against a purple or Iri Killer (or I hope they wouldn't have been anyway).
Now, maybe it's worse due to population and MMR bracket issues in some areas? I'm fortunate to get good teammates the majority of the time but that could just be my region and the times I play.
If that is the case, do you think having your MMR affected by how many survivors escape would make a difference?
I do not.
Our games usually either end in 4E or 4K's with little variation.

You're going off-topic here. Saying something is boring, is not equivalent to it being skillless.
In this case, it is equivalent.
Like you said, gens aren't interactive. There isn't anything to do, no expression of skill at all.
It's why a lot of players either slam gens and then try to mess with the Killer or just ignore them entirely.

Books: Dracula, I'd say. Some sort of vampire, at least. Not a book but my vote is still for Part 1 Dio.

It's massively more skilful compared to another side of the coin. That was the whole argument.
I am glad you finally got it.
I don't see people complaining about generators being a skillless expression, but I see plenty of people complaining about tunnelling and camping being skillless. Time to end such hypocrisy and double standards.
Yeah, you do see people complaining that gens are ######### boring.
Nobody wants to sit on them for 90 seconds.
-
It was better for me as Survivor but worse for Killer.
As Killer, I did not get fair matches and would go on large winstreaks.
As Survivor, I got semi-competent teammates. Better than what I get now.

Hiding in a locker is the exact counterplay to Tombstone Myers, he will pull you out but he has to hook you instead of instantly kill you, in one situation you can be unhooked on the other you are just out of the game.
People going for the achievement just have to adapt.
Adapt to what.
There's nothing you can do except hope they let you get the achievement.

I am doubtful this is the standard solo queue experience. More the standard solo queue experience of people on these forums.
Not saying that solo queue is fine, because it definitely needs improvements, camping nerfs being on the top of that list, but if this was the standard solo queue experience, I believe killer queue times would be much longer.
I had a 8 minute queue earlier where I encountered a hacking Ace.
I didn't play again, so i can't tell you if the queue was better.

And who decides which are or aren't worth it?
The survivor group? The killer?
And what happens when it's a 2:2 tie or a 3 against 1? Will the ones that voted for surrender and didn't get their way keep playing or will they start sabotaging their teammates?
Or do survivor and maybe killer all just a free pass to DC when bots are there and we could basically scrap the whole pvp idea after a certain point?
We have often enough seen that people will jump ship at the SLIGHTEST inconvenience when they are given the "freedom" of no penalty
If someone dies at 5 gens, we aren't winning and I'd rather not waste 15 minutes dragging it out.
Give the Killer 25K BP on top of whatever they have already.
Give the Survivors 10K BP on top of whatever they have.

Telling killers to adapt to no longer being able to slug and take the 0 IQ way of playing and instead actually play and engage in the game is entirely different than all but removing a tool from the survivors, and since keys are just as useless, now all that remains is toolboxes and med kits.
I absolutely do blame the macro clickers, but if anyone thinks this is in the name of accessibility, they're out of their minds. The company is on the verge of losing their highest profile killer players and claiming that changes are "for accessibility" is insulting when many other triggering visual effects exist unchanged.
And @Pulsar , the poor attempt at an insult isn't nearly as clever as you think it is. But whatever helps you sleep at night. As you've said, you're "terrible at survivor", so your opinion on flashlights isn't worth much.
Just because I'm ######### at playing hockey doesn't mean I don't understand it.

That is absolutely far too clunky and slow for most flashlight save situations that aren't already being orchestrated by SWF squads with communication. When moving to save alone in solo queue, especially repositioning while running, that cooldown impacts the ability to adjust the blind. Period. One YouTube video does not represent the whole of the game, especially when it's painfully obvious that this is a custom match.
Video games have photosensitivity warnings for a reason. There were other ways the macro flashlights could have been dealt with, and this was not it. The devs using the community as an excuse for this change instead of admitting that it's pandering to angry slug killers who can't handle flashlights and teabagging is egregious; expecially since accessibility colorblindness settings (which are far less of a safety issue) arrived far before now. It's incredibly convenient that this nerf is coming on the heels of BMing killer mains crying in droves on the forums about slug pickups and killer main streamers threatening to quit the game over hackers.
If you can't see it for what it is, then you're far more blind than a flashlight could ever make you.
Take's one to know one, eh?

@HeyItsQuiet said:

I agree that macros were a problem, but regular clicking was not. Now we get a clunky, useless item with which blinds can no longer be adjusted in time to make a save.
There are more flashing lights and visual distortions in this game than some annoying clicky clickies, so let's be honest and call it what it is: a way to keep slugging killers playing because they're upset with the basekit unbreakable changes upcoming.
No, that's not it at all.
You can easily adjust the flashlight

Nah because I seriously believe crouch cooldown is next at this point. It's clearly so gamebreaking.
Crouching isn't giving people with photosensitivity problems.
There is a real accessibility concern that the Devs have finally addressed. I'm not photosensitive, but flashlight macro's give me awful headaches from the noise, let alone the strobing.
This doesn't affect flashlight saves nor communication using flashlights. All it does is take away an obnoxious agility that could harm members of our community.

Once it gets about 75% of the way to the hunt activating, I just assume no one else is going to. I've been the first to die many times because I am the only one who tried to solve it.
I think onw of the reasons Pinhead is so maligned is because people just won't solve the box, and chain hunts are really annoying.
It's also because if Pinhead just consistently gets the Box (not hard vs Solo Q) then he is extremely hard to deal with.

Since his ability is to turn anything he touches into a bomb, I fear it would be OP if he planted it in a generator, pallet or window...
Also, since the nature of the Sheer Heart Attack is to automatically attach itself to the survivor and chase it forever, I think this is also too strong in DbD.
Looking at it from these aspects, Kira seems a bit difficult to balance.
I can only assure you that MORI's animation will definitely be the most exciting of the killers💀
I mean, that's basically Trapper's power. It just depends how they'd go about it.
SHA could be like an AI thing that could be lead away by loud noises, flashlights, gens popping ect
His Mori would be absolutely fire though, you're right

Sheer Heart Attack would be interesting, could be either AI or player controlled.
I am not gonna lie though, I'd love to see Dio spawn a road roller to crush a Survivor.
He could have some real good voicelines.
Dio is an absolute troll throughout the series and I would love to hear that reflected in his voicelines.

Agreed.
As much as I love Part 3 Dio, The World would probably be too much for Dbd, and it's also not that interesting of a power (from a gameplay point of view, being "stuck" in place for a specific amount of time would suck).
Yeah, I can't imagine that'd be a fun game mechanic, probably wasn't very fun for the Part 3 gang either.
I also think, like @fake said, Kira with his hand monster could be really cool. I also think that Killer Queen and Sheer Heart Attack would work well in DBD, almost as well as Part 1 Dio.

I agree, I'd love to see Kira as Killer, he could work well as a trapping Killer.
On the other hand I'd love to see Dio as Killer too, especially Part 1 Dio; he could use his space ripper stingy eyes attack as a ranged ability and maybe his freezing power as a secondary skill that could hinder Survivors or something.
See, that's what I'm saying!
Part 1 Dio has so many abilities to pull from it'd be awesome to see him.
