"Fixed an issue that caused Survivors to be hit by projectiles that visually appear to pass over their head while performing various interaction's animations."

It's random. I've had BBQ appear in the first 10 levels of one character and well after 100 on another. You have to consider that there's an awful lot of perks times 3.
-
Iirc, it's very hard for them to change achievements on console. That's why if it's still possible in theory, they probably won't plan on changing it.
You can use a hex build with thrill of the hunt and insidious and then just camp the totem. It's not easy, of course, but it's a way to do it.

What a noob... facecamping when he could've burnt a more smh.

"Dealing with the hook tech" means the survivor screwed up. If he knew what he was doing you could not hit him.
False.

@Alice_pbg said:
Should.
But it's at least ok if you know about it. You can deal with it.
Unlike the hook tech, which you couldn't
You could deal with the hook tech as well, and I don't mean via camping, but hitting the rescuer, which was still possible and not that difficult.

I played it like a normal game until both exit gates were open and everyone was safe. Even if im considering killing myself, I always make sure the others get a fair chance at survival.
The whole reason I even killed myself was because the others were bullying the killer and I felt really bad because I have been in similar situations when I play killer and it never feels good to get bullied.
There's nothing wrong with that. Ignore them.
-
You didn't provide many details, but even so, under the circumstances you described, there's no infraction that transpires.
-
When I got mine, I used:
For addons: Judith's Tombstone and Fragrant Tuft of Hair, which are essentially a necessary combo.
For perks: PWYF (non-negotiable, because Tombstone slows you down), Monitor & Abuse, Brutal Strength and (old) Ruin (I'd use Corrupt Intervention now instead).
I prefer Brutal Strength over Enduring, because once they realize what you're doing, they throw pallets early.
You can also use Ruin, Surveillance and Discordance. This would give you good information to rotate for maximum stalk potential and some slowdown, especially on smaller maps.
For maps, I did it on Swamp, because I didn't have much else. It's fairly open and you can stalk from the high ground. If I could, I would've gone to Gideon.
P.S. Map offerings don't grant a 100% chance of going to the chosen realm, when it's the only offering burnt. It's possible to be sent to a totally different realm, although it happens rarely. I'm not sure if it's a bug, but it's how it works anyway.
-
Mori'ing is not the default way of killing, it's an exception that alters the normal balance of the game, even in marginal situations as the last survivor. And as an exception, if one wants the option, they need to sacrfice something else i.e. the ability to burn an offering for something else. Cypress is even of yellow rarity and pops up frequently in bloodwebs. It's fine as it is and it should remain an offering.
-
BBQ is in a licensed character dlc and it's one of the crucial perk to get bp. Do you think bhvr is gonna give up that cash cow so easily?
-
Congratulations.
I did it it on Swamp. Red Forest is quite open, but it's also massive. You did very well.

It's not unusual for solo q to die a lot. Solos are fairly weak barring very good rng, currently, and matchmaking doesn't help either.
As for the Deathslinger, you have to prioritize distance on him, similarly to how you would do when versing a Nurse. I understand it could be difficult, considering that his terror radius is kinda wacky. The best you could do is to leave the gen early and keep breaking line of sight. In close quarters, he's very deadly, if the player has good aim.
-
Not overrated, or underrated. It's a very good perk IF your team are doing gens. Good luck with that in solo.
-
The achievement is bugged, currently.
-
We need some tests, probably.
However, there's some weird stuff going on with BT. I can tell you that yesterday, I witnessed a save against a facecamping Freddy. The guy was awake and Freddy let him unhook without hitting him. He immediately smacked the unhooked person who went down. In chat, the rescuer asked why BT didn't proc, but we couldn't figure out. The hooked person never replied, so we don't know if he never got the endurance status, or if he did and it glitched. The rescuer did have BT, I saw it in the tally screen.
-
Use Legion, you'll get chaser points very easily.
-
You have to hold W for a moment after a blink to gain some momentum, then you lunge. Otherwise you'd be lunging from a dead stop, which gains almost no distance.
-
I can confirm. I'm already calling him the Campslinger. Before reset I counted two rank 1s, one rank 2 and one rank 3 doing that. Although, to be honest, I know one of the rank 1s and he always camps. After reset, it's still the same routine. Unfortunately, I have to finish the survivor challenges, so I'm stuck with the summer camp XD. But yeah, if it's a 'slinger, assume he's brought the tent.
-
The bug that I get more often is the delayed/impossible m1. You get to the end of your blink and then she just glitches where her left hand acts like it's locked into cycles of charging and discharging with the audio glitching as well. If you try to m1 sometimes it goes through with a delay and others it just puts you into fatigue. I think it's an issue with dedicated where it doesn't register immediately that you've reappared at the end of your blink and it constantly tries to update.
There was also a pallet spawn on Sactum where you can't short blink in one direction with the pallet down. The only way to go through was with an almost fully charged blink, which travels all the way. Anything in between failed. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to record at that time.
-
You won after getting your first down with 4 and 1/2 gens done. This is not proof of being survivor-sided. You could've picked a better example, of which there are plenty.
That person DC'd for whatever reason that we just assume being to give the hatch. Truth is only they know and they will receive their penalty. You will have to settle for a 3k and 29k bp. Not a bad day at the office. Survivors routinely settle for a 3v1 when a teammate DCs or suicides on hook. It looks to me like you got the better bargain.
-
I hate survivors that play immersed, but if they're 'slamming out' gens, then they're somewhere to be found.
-
Yes. I got the challenge with 3 dc's.

Hi, just to confirm; what are the conditions for this achievement?
I've hooked someone off of a Totem and gotten no progress.
Do you have to grab by hand, or was I just unlucky? Also, someone mentioned the Doctor? Should his SHOCK be counted as an Interrupt?
Thanks in advance!

By "interrupt", does it specifically mean grabbing, or can you get the achievement by interrupting the action in other ways, such as by hitting the survivor?
I got some progress by simply m1'ing a survivor who was cleansing a totem. So, a grab isn't a must, but I can't tell if it would count either, or how the achievement interacts with other killers' powers. All I can tell is that it looks like the killer must interrupt the cleansing, not the survivor, and that m1 hits counted toward the achievement for me.
@ChrisFuFuu said:
Yesterday I hit someone with the harpune while he was cleansing a totem and it didn't count towards the achievement. So I assume that they want you to grab survivors off of totems.
They might have let go before the hit registered. It's not always possible to tell the difference visually, due to dedicated servers.

I see merit on both sides of the argument. On one hand, I understand it's sort of a habit for some players to type gg automatically and they say it without any ill-will regardless of the situation. On the other, gg literally means good game and I recognize it also become essentially an inane statement when it's objectively not true.
As far as I'm concerned, I don't say gg if it wasn't good game. By good game I don't mean one where I win, but one that is at least reasonably competitive.
On the same token, I don't take it personally if someone goes gg after I get steamrolled.
-
"So, I heard you wanna tbag at the exit gates..."
-
They need you to hit the hooked person in order to save. Fake one side, double back and swing. The crucial part is that you have to aim more toward the hook. You will either hit the rescuer or, if you overdo it, you hit the hook. If you hit the hook, it doesn't matter. They can't save safely and, if they try, you still get the trade. So, if you're unsure about where to aim, err on the side of the hook and you'll be completely fine.
The hook tech is very easy to counter and this community had a knee jerk reaction. It's not an exploit, they're actually offering you a hook on a silver platter. Except I made more people dc rather than being hooked, when they realized I downed them even if they camped their 'safe' spot.
-
If you put pineapple on pizza, may the Entity make you verse SWF Seal Team 6 on Pallet Lodge until the end of time to atone for that abomination.
-
BHVR reworked Doc to make him less frustrating to go against. They failed miserably. They also overloaded his kit with stuff that is probably unncessary. They have a tendency to go overboard with reworks, regardless if it's buffs or nerfs.
However, they made him a lot stronger, which is an upside. Personally, I miss the old switch stance. It added quite the skill cap that very few realized was there. It's probably mostly nostalgia because Doc was my first main.
-
I lunge in my chair even when I blink as Nurse.
-
I've had a lobby exactly like that one. I put on an insta-saw and went to town. In the tally screen, it turned out MM pulled a fast one and I had faced yellow ranks with brown toolboxes (maybe a yellow one, iirc). I wanted to compliment myself for the pretty good job that far, but then I felt that recognition belonged to a someone else.

The only good thing about Curtain Call is Kate and that's a lot!
Jokes aside, pgtw and bamboozle are worth.

Snares are superior in every possible way. You can shut down loops and jungle gyms very quickly.

Congrats! You have discovered what many of us have been saying for a while. Spine Chill is very strong against Spirit. Not to put you down, just making the point that many people would rather sit and say "YoU cAn'T oUtPlAy A sPiRiT" when at least 2 non-meta perks are SUPER effective against her.

"I just always run iron will"
"those who bring stridor are gross tho"
Are you serious with this? Stridor IS the counter to Iron Will. It's literally the entire reason I run it on Spirit, to beat those survivors using Iron Will. You don't need it for all the other survivors, you need it for ONLY the ones with Iron Will.
"its amazing how many spirits are clueless monkeys against it."
Do you even play Spirit? Because if you did against high rank survivors using Iron Will I would bet they give you the run around. Because Iron Will makes it insanely difficult to track survivors in phase, unless they are potatoes and run constantly or walk through grass. But get a not-stupid survivor with Iron Will and you will see why Stridor is so important.
If you really can't see it, let me put it another way...
"I just always tunnel survivors off a hook."
"it's amazing how many survivors just let me catch them when I'm right there when they get saved."
"Those that bring DS are gross tho, I don't use it as survivor out of principle."
Not that I actually believe this, just making a point of how absurd these kinds of statements are.
Perks are not 'outplays'.

Better yet can we just remove the hatch? If you're team couldn't finish the five gens guess what, no cheap escapes for you, up on the hook you go.
The fact that as killer my choices with two survivors left is slug or accept a likely 3k is beyond idiotic.

I asked them that exact question and they answered it on stream a while ago. They think it's too much information to give solos for free.
I still don't agree with their decision making, I've found it harder and harder to play survivor without friends. I don't even use voice comms when playing with friends, but I at least know that someone will get me off hook.
I hope they'll reconsider cause giving survivors Kindred basekit, I won't mind if they nerf the killer aura reading to 8 meters, so people can know if killer is camping, but not give too much information where they're going and such.
That's why they can't balance the game. They want to bridge the gap and they don't even realize how wide it is.
-
Different flavors for different people. You tried and before forming an opinion. Congratulations! You've went to a process 90% of the posters of this board don't.
-
They will be revealead by alternate attacks, but the on-hit instadown will still be applied on basic attacks only. To be clear, the alternate attack must be one that applies damage. Chainsaws, hatchets, Demo's shred, for example, will trigger the notification. Something like shock therapy or the afterpiece tonic will not.
-
It would be a nice improvement and it should also differentiate broken keys clearly.
-
It's not the flashlight clicks, tbags or moonwalks that make the game survivor-sided. Just sayin'.
-
Bhvr is killing solo. They're hungrier than the Entity.
-
In no particolar order: Billy, Demo and Oni.
Mikey and Trapper are also fun.
-
Noed is simply a low-risk high-reward solo q stomper that does reward failure. The devs are out of touch with the reality of their own game, as usual.

Sounds like it will be a fun week. some people have been dc'ing while in the loading screen if there is a mori just to avoid it because you don't get the dc penalty if you leave that early. with that challenge, i wonder how fast dc'ing in the loading screen will catch on.
and the tunneling and camping is about to get way worse if thats even possible.
Devour Hope on an indoor map usually works quite well as an alternative.

Delete.

If they're just plain farming, I don't bother and just try to finish gens as fast as possible to move on the the next game.
As it's already been suggested, the circumstances you describe are more serious and they warrant a report, imho.
-
I wouldn't mind something be done to address this kind of situations, but I don't see how this qualifies as holding the game hostage and, even if it did, collecting proof would be very challenging. They're under no obligation to throw themselves at the killer. They can try to slowplay as much as they want and wait for their opportunity. It's annoying, but it in the end they can be found. Listen for breathing, grass and start checking lockers.
