Unless its in a tight space you can just shift to the left or right to dodge it. Then throw the pallet down.
You wont be able to because he can simply cancel with no penalty and m1. He's a fairly strong zoner.

Let's not pretend plenty of survivors will do anything possible to use their ds, including running at the killer after being unhooked and jumping in and out of lockers.
I assume you quoted the wrong person, because nowhere I was pretending that.
-
If your idea goes through, would BHVR would rather change:
- the most expensive skin in the game;
- or moris because you're hurting their cash cow by targeting their best customers?
I wonder MonkaHmm...
-
Is that because it's you who run directly toward them even before being uncaged?
-
He's a zoning killer. Use the ranged attack when they're locked in a vault or pallet drop animation. Other than that, you have almost no penalty for canceling and move at 110%. You'll get very easy m1's because they can't commit to the animation and lose a ton of distance in the process. The only thing they can do is to bait you into cancelling and it's not a great option as well.

They do. If a team of survivors allows a killer to create a 3 gen on that map then it's their fault. If the killer has 2 gens on one side of the map and one on the other then it's his fault they are so far apart.
That's a negative from me. The two statements are contradictory. Your explanation is not sound.
-
Rarely, but I don't do it after a loss. I do it when I burn a streamer or a pudding.
-
At base, he's perfectly fine.
His add-ons can become problematic and same for some perks like Infectious Freight and Bamboozle, especially if it's all in the same build.
-

I love this map tbh as killer and survivor. If you give the killer a 3 gen it's 100% your fault. If it isn't a 3 gen it's the killers fault. Other maps like suffocation pit have a similar thing.
Compared to maps likes Disturbed Ward, Shelter Woods, Mount Ormond and Haddonfield need attention far sooner than those maps.
The statements below don't compute.
If you give the killer a 3 gen it's 100% your fault. If it isn't a 3 gen it's the killers fault.
-
I doubt he'll get nerfs any time soon. I predict he'll have a trajectory similar to MoM. They'll milk as much from the licensed DLC as possible, then MAYBE (and only maybe) they'll revisit the cages to make hook perks work on them.
His ranged attack is actually very good and it makes him a top-tier zoner, because he has almost no penalty to cancel it and he moves at 110% while holding it, which is a lot when forcing the survivors to dodge. I don't think they'll nerf that, though. BHVR showed they're perfectly fine with zoning powers (e.g. Deathslinger, etc.)
-
There was a thread were someone said it worked only if you were hooked twice; hitting second stage on first book didn't count.
I don't know if that's the case, but that might've been your issue. I escaped after getting 2-hooked and I got the challenge.
If you're positive you did everything as requested, then you should file a bug report.

Also, why are all survivors aware of hex: huntress lullaby, when they get a skill check and the killer hasn't even gotten a stack yet.
Because the regression penalty applies regardless of tokens.

I had a team 3-gen themself around basement and when I hooked one person there they called me camper. I could literally see everything by moving 1-2 steps any direction.

Well, it’s kind of on survivors to check gen positions as well. If everyone just starts chunking then out without regard to which will be left that is on the survivors.
Not too long ago I went a couple days and literally every game ended with a 3-gen so I start paying attention early. If I spawn on a gen I’ll work that, but if I finish and see another gen like 10 meters away I don’t hop on it. I think most people would and that’s how we end up screwed

Or survivors could just not 3gen themselves. Ezpz.

There's clearly an issue of broken gen spawns, regardless of how the survivors played.

Fixated/SB/Iron Will can cause Spirits to abandon you entirely. That build is used in competitive play for a reason. It's very, very good.
Being used in competitive events in DbD doesn't mean much by itself. Tournaments have varying rules, but often times meta perks are restricted or even not allowed. Same goes for camping/tunneling, which could either be limited, or punished penalized by the scoring (e.g. if kills give additional points, then killers will get genrushed very heavily if they camp). So, juking builds actually make sense in that kind of environment.
-
I think the bigger issue here is broken gen spawns, not general saltiness of online gamers.
-
If you want to one-trick a single killer, then you have to pick one that you enjoy, or otherwise you'll burn out very quickly.
Only you can know who you like playing as. Try doing a rotation of killers and commit to one that clicks with you. Also, don't hesitate to take a step back and change, if you find you don't enjoy your first choice anymore.
-
Probably Kate. From what I understand, her character was inspired by Sally Hardesty, considering she was first supposed to be released with Leatherface. So, she's a final girl at her core, which also fits the description Benedict Baker gives of her.
-
Crows are servants of the Entity, not killers' allies. The Entity's doesn't play favorites. Survivors and killers alike are simply its pawns.
-
It would be sufficient to add a tickable box with the option "don't remind me again". So, those who are worried they'd forget can keep the notification and the others will simply disable it.
-
I picked play with your food since your ranged attack won't count as an offensive action, meaning I can build up stacks from my obsession.
Sounds like an oversight, tbh. You might wanna test it when PH comes out, because they might probably change that for the live version.
-
I don't mind them tbh. They're not strong or anything. The only issue I could see is that they would pollute the survivor bloodwebs even more and I acknowledge they're already bad as it is.
-
Nothing. It's simply a tag in their name.
-
Slugging and bleeding survivors out are not bannable.
-
The killer can open the doors. There's no hostage situation, which was exactly the goal of EGC.
-
Leatherface treats everyone equally, regardless of race and skins. If that offends you in a game that is about murder and hanging people on meat hooks, the I think you need to grow a thicker skin. No pun intended.
-
i think it would be great but potentially would force a lot of people to quit playing.
And with that kind of premise, do you think that would be a sound decision for business and the survival of the game?
-
Usually, killers get flack for gameplay-related behavior (camping, etc.), which eclipses the bm'ing instances in the survivors' perception . However, I probably see as much bm'img coming from killers as I do from survivors.
It's a general issue, not role-specific.
@[Deleted User] said:
Climb the ranks. I've never seen killers higher than rank 10 do that.
It's not unusual in the red ranks. I wouldn't say it happens every other game, but you'll come across that regularly.
-
Should one choose:
- A perk that allows to get oneself up once without additional activation conditions and a with speed recovery speed bonus, regardless of what perks the killer brought;
OR
- A perk HOPING that the killer brings a high-risk high-reward hex, which one would then be encouraged to leave standing (thus a no-risk hex), in exchange for the ability to recover from the dying state unlimited amounts of times, HOPING that the killer slugs that much. Not to mention that getting slugged for long enough once is already situational.
It seems pretty straightforward to me.

They probably didn't do much if any coop action and, I guess, not many unhooks, because you were camping with Bubba.
1 gen solo is 1250 pts by repairs alone.
From there account for some skill checks, unhooks if any, some random altruism such as reunited and assists, some boldness, wiggle and some struggle.
Not hard to make almost no bloodpoints if they kamikaze'd.
-
It's an interesting finding, despite 25 games not being a lot.
However, the value of DS is not simply direct, when you use it. It's also indirect, as a deterrent. With this experiment you get to capture the difference DS makes when it's present in the form of how often you get to use it. What you can't see, it's the difference it makes when you don't get to use it. For that, you will also need is to record when there's no obsession, how often you get picked up before 60 seconds after being unhooked.
I hope the explanation wasn't too bad.
-
Leave a gen the moment you hear a heartbeat. She's slow. So, either you're stealthy and she has to look around to find you, which wastes more time for her than any other killer. Or, you sprint away getting a good head-start. If the latter, she has to spend time to catch up first, making you unworthy to be chased. If she does, it's still a win.
When you're caught, find a long wall to break line of sight. However, always keep making distance, especially after she's blinked, if she's holding a blink, or if she's walking a lot. Use doubling back sparingly. Most good nurses expect that.
Generally, don't fast vault against her, unless it makes sense for specific situations, eg. you have lithe or Q&Q, you don't have any other route out, etc.
She can't locker grab between a blink and fatigue, although use it as a last resort.
-
For looping specifically: Iron Will, DH or SB, Adren and DS.
Some will replace the last two for the vault build, i.e. Resilience and Spine Chill.
-
Sounds a little underpowered.
I think instead of deep wound, anyone who gets hit during his power should count as instantly mori'd.
-
I'll just copypasta my answer to a similar topic a few days ago
Honestly, it's not as bad of a perk in soloq as it's made out to be. Of course, a lot depends on how you use it. If every time you get hit you run to the corner of the map to SC with mangled and 4 stacks of thana, then it basically becomes the killer's 5th perk.
However, if you self-heal when a reset is really needed, then it's a dependable perk. Bond is really no substitute, because in soloq you never know who you get on your team. Even as a killer main, I lost count of the times I needed a heal and a teammate obliviously ran away or straight-up refused to patch me up.
Inner Strength is superior in theory, but then again there are times where you can't find a totem for the life of you. Medkits are great, but your stash will run out, eventually.
-
Whispers and Sprint Burst.
-
For killer: dedicated servers.
For survivor: dedicated servers.
-
I'd like a killer perk that grants bonus bp in the brutality category. It might even be added to Unrelenting as a side effect.
-
Most survivor ttvs I come across are either boosted no-names, or they just try to go for stupid plays for content. Either way, they get stomped fairly often.

Nothing was bannable though.
Re-read the thread. What was bannable has already been brought up. I've got nothing else to add.
-
I wouldn't mind green keys so much if at least they had a different model, that'd make it evident for what they are. Also, they could use a buff, either longer duration or basic short-range aura reading of allies without add-ons.
-
This kind of arguments can be concocted just about every decent perk in the game, regardless of side.
We get it, someone got you with DH. It's not the end of the world, you'll come back from it.
-
It was a ill-advised addition to the game. It made some sense lore-wise for the Halloween chapter. The problems arise in the actual gameplay.
Then, to sorta balance it out, at least for stealth killers, they decided that nerfing OoO directly was too big brain. So, they introduced Undetectable, nerfing in the process a lot of aura reading perks that didn't need nerf to begin with and leaving OoO still very strong.
-
It's AT LEAST 6 months, NOT EXACTLY after 6 months.
-
If there's no obsession, you're getting tunneled 95% of the times. It's not news. Red rank killers are usually more ruthless, that's all.
Tunneling existed before DS, not because of DS. Not to mention, officially, DS wasn't created as anti-tunneling specifically, according to BHVR.

Why does he?
The rest of the team are free to do gens so the game is not held hostage. It could be classed as unsportsmanlike behavior but so could pointing and tea bagging. If you're going to go out your way to try and upset the killer, don't get upset when you get the reaction you craved and get punished for it.
I was just quoting what we had been told. I didn't even say it falls specifically under the holding-the-game-hostage label.
Concerning upsetting the killer, I don't disagree, but that point is immaterial to the discussion at hand. Tbagging and the like are not forbidden actions and explicitly so, just like it's perfectly allowed to tunnel and camp whoever you want for any reasons you want.
However, upsetting someone via allowed gameplay doesn't authorize them to commit a bannable offense in retaliation.
