@GodDamn_Angela This so much, No point in using Legion on the PTB because other killers do a better job at him in everything he's supposed to do.

@Plu yes, except delaying the game, since Pig got a major nerf. They need buffs, but they're certainly better to buff now.

Yeah I was just shocked to see it is all.

I have my issues with the changes made to Legion, even though I don't play it and mainly play Survivor, but I 100% agree that Legion is in a much "stabler"and balanceable state.

Just, right now, I don't really see why you would use Legion in its PTB state over basically any other Killer lol.

@GodDamn_Angela yeah he needs buffs, but more stable now, I'll even add a drawing showing how stable they've made him.

  • @Plu yeah, I didnt entirely understand that, it makes no sense now that he can't deal damage with it. But this new base is far more stable and buffable than the other.

    Calling Poweas a Troll?

######### am I in the Twilight Zone?

@GodDamn_Angela let's forget it now, no point in arguing. But thanks for the support lol.

To be fair he does acknowledge that the Legion is weak right now and should be buffed. He's just saying this is a decent base, which we can more easily improve on.

This is a reasonable opinion to hold and has potential predictive power we can work with.

@NuclearBurrito it's because I defend survivors. I wont bother arguing because it's bad. I'd rather show respect to him, as I do to most people on this forum, but if he won't I have no reason to be nice.

Okay we need to stop accusing with "oh you're a survivor/killer main" nonsense.

My "why did they nerf it": The Fatigue vision and time, vault speeds and Frank's (it's useless now let's not kid oursefles) and the ... locker bug fix... sigh

Also the pins... why you require the double hit :/

Other than that they are good for me :D

@Milo hes mad because I am Treemans friend (he's toxic to treeman) or because I've defended survivors.

I think the nerfs you said shouldn't have happened.

You are the one who is trolling here. Thanks to people like you killers are nerfed to the ground.

@Ihatelife wrong, I've made threads upon threads about killer buffs. You're the troll and you wont accept it, because it depletes your ego too much obviously.

I don't even want killers nerfed, I want survivors nerfed.

But at this point, im just feeding the troll, good day, I won't bother with someone who can't have a proper discussion.

    Have a nice day.

  • @Plu said:

Right now they are just a M1 killer because of how restricted the use of FF is, the only change Legion ever needed was to get punished from missing a hit and that several FF hits wouldn't affect the DW timer.

He also needed a fix to moonwalking, wich happened, it's every other nerf that happened that's undeserved and wasn't needed, right now there's not point in using the power because it's almost never up and not worth using because you lose too much tracking if you ever try using it.

The only thing that make them playable and "better" now is 115% speed, because right now their first hit and share the pain gameplay is gutted and hurts you too much for what you gain from it, all the matches i played as a basic M1 killer were faster and gave me better results than the ones where i tried using my power like it's intended to be used.

If a killer is better without using it's power after a "Rework" i think there's a huge problem.

@Plu I agree, they need some buffs because they aren't doing much, but deep wound should be a game slowing ability, not anti loop.

As I said before, I'm sure the devs will buff them and make them viable. For now, they're bad, but the devs have set a less unstable base for them whereas before, one buff too much, and they become another Nurse, one nerf too hard, and they became Freddy. Now the devs are going to obviously buff them.

  • @Ihatelife said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/442295#Comment_442295

I doubt that you will win with them at rank 1 against coordinated SWF. Stop promoting that useless nerfs. Perhaps we all know that you are survivor main.

    @Ihatelife

    I'm a survivor main? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

While I am protecting survivors more and more often, it's because I've saw what half the killers (you included) here are like to them. And the toxicity is unacceptable. I play both sides, and it's very obvious looking at my post history from last month, I haven't played survivor in about 6 months.

Obviously you're trolling when you say 'stop promoting useless nerfs) because it was obviously not useless, Legions were ruining survivors experiences. They are literally the reason I mained killer.

Im happy they're finally going to make Legion good without making them weak, while they're trash right now, they're going to obviously be buffed. Get your biased garbage out of my thread. I wont bother being polite if you cant.

  • I forgot to say, the vault speed change and cooldown should be reverted since it won't make much of a difference now if it was fast. @Chaotic_Riddle

@Ihatelife once the change comes, I'll play him at rank 1, and I'll win because his game stalling+Thanatophobia is dirty, if you can't win with a fast Legion, then you might be the problem, because you might be used to his old version, which is totally understandable. I personally think he needs his cooldown and vault speed reduced, recharge buffed to 15 seconds and speed addons back, and he's viable.

@tt_ivi_99 he's more like Pig tbh, and he needs a cooldown buff and his vault speed buff and he'll be the top game delaying killer, since Pig is garbage right now.

Hes definitely got room for improvement, but he's on the right tracks and he can mindgame a bit like Freddy at tall loops which is always great.

  • I used to hear 'You get the camels foot and licky! Thank you for this opportunity'. Now I've opened my eyes...

  • Billy is nothing, no clue why they'd dc to him. Nurse though, has always had a lot of people DC.

  • @Bithard said:

@Poweas well, that seems fair πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I might be a little biased but isn't NOED a tiny bit stronger than adrenaline in this situation πŸ˜‚

@Bithard I know, they're equal. I dont want to see them nerfed but everyone wants one nerfed without their version.

@Poweas NOED activates when they close it? Even if 2 gens are done and it's just you?

@Bithard hell yeah, and the OP wants Adrenaline nerfed πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  • @Orion said:

No lie, Freddy is being redesigned from scratch. This means new interactions, new mechanics, new everything, which takes longer to do than adjusting existing stuff (as was the case with the Legion).

@Orion they nailed Legion tbh, he's pretty decent now, he can definitely dominate if you're skilled with him.

  • I'm certain they'll make him well made with the time they've been spending on him.

  • It doesn't work against really smart survivors, since they just run from the loop or hide with Iron will.

So it might work against decent, and average survivors but not against really good ones.

    AND PLEASE FIX SPIRIT 😭

  • @GoatGod said:

Nerf Killers? Buff Survivors? Endgame is too situational?

Okay, a lot of things going on here. I'm going to give my opinion on each one.

First I'd like to state that I have around 1600 hours in this game, and I'm currently at rank 3 survivor, and rank 1 killer. I've been to every rank and I understand the different kind of play styles there are.

So a lot of people think that survivors have "overpowered" perks and that killers don't have good enough perks. Well, I completely disagree. You can call/think of me as survivor biased, but I'm going to try my best to explain my thoughts to you. So I see that people are complaining about MoM a lot, and I can agree that when it works it's a strong perk, but only against people who play killers that aren't very strong. What's unfortunate about it is not only does it counter the killer, but it counters the concept of the killer. So unless the devs change the concepts of the killer, they're still going to find MoM as a wall. So how do you counter MoM? The best way I can see to counter it as someone like Wraith is by getting it over with as quickly as possible, or doing the opposite and ignoring them. If someone is obsession, either make them using it up quickly as possible or avoid them for the remainder of the trail. But I promise you, there is no other perk in the game better than Hex: No One Escapes Death. Let me explain why. The devs have stated that NOED has counter play, however I'm gonna have to give a fat disagree on that one. The thing about noed is that there is no skill to it. All it does is allow the killer to down survivors instantly (without warning up until the first hit) and grants them more movement speed. Now it is good that it is a hex totem, as it can be easily taken care of. Once NOED has been exposed, survivors can search the map for the relative hex totem and cleanse it. With the upcoming endgame changes, that'll be harder to do. Ignoring the fact that 1 or 2 survivors have probably already gotten downed by NOED, what else can you do? Well, you could preemptively cleanse all 5 totems on the map. So what's wrong with that? Here's a list of what's wrong with that.

    1. Cleansing all 5 totems takes A LOT away from gen pressure, which gives the killer tons of time to hunt for survivors.
    2. There is a 1/57 chance that the killer has noed. That is a 0.017% chance that you will deny NOED. Also a 99.98% chance that you are being completely useless to your team.
    3. Let's say a trapper is running NOED. So you start the trial, the trapper downs someone and decide to face camp them. Now what's the best counter to face camping? Gen rushing. So you gen rush, a hooked survivor can only stall so much. You end up getting all the gens done, and the survivor on the hook dies. So the trapper decides to now go and kill other survivors. And boom, what happens? Noed. But why didn't you preemptively cleanse the totems? Well if you took time off gen pressure, you wouldn't have been able to get to end game in the first place.

The main problem with noed is the lack of skill it requires. The killer doesn't have to do ANYTHING to activate noed. Even if the survivors get rid of noed before endgame starts, noed still provides value for the killer since it caused survivors to get off gens and cleanse totems. So what could be done to make NOED more skillful? Well it could be something like devour hope. In the fact that, you get stacks during the trail, then if you have enough stacks once the exit gates are powered, NOED will activate. That way, they killer would have to work for their insanely powerful insta down and movement speed. Another concept would be making it like the perk Hope. For a certain amount of time, survivors are exposed and you move faster. That way it doesn't even have to be a hex perk. The only perk survivors can use to go against noed would be MoM (depending on the killer). But then again, MoM only saves you from one hit, and you HAVE to be injured otherwise it won't work. Adrenaline will only help you gain distance, otherwise it won't help. Decisive Strike was removed from the picture, all the killer has to do is count to 60 every time a survivor gets unhooked before picking them up. Otherwise decisive only works against killers who tunnel, and there are plenty of better ways to play than just tunneling.

    Anyways, onto "buffing survivors"

The only buff survivors have gotten other than their perks in the last couple of months were the vault changes. Other than that, survivors have been getting nerfed quite a bit. Not sure if you remember the amount of pallets there were on the map before the pallet nerf, or the pallet vacuum, or the amount of tiles that used to be on each map. Yes, survivors have been getting small buffs but nothing significant enough to complain about. Perhaps you remember the ever so famous instablind from back in the day? Why nerf that when killers have 5 blink nurses, Iridescent head hatchets, Insta kill myers, no phasing sound spirit, mint rag hag, irididescent king doctor, insta down gas bottles... all comparable to what, an insta heal? All insta heals do are give extra hits. Extra hits don't matter against any of the killer addons I just listed, and don't even get me started on how different the hitboxes of the killers are from a long time ago, and no, it's not just lag, I refuse to accept that it's just lag. Something changed with the way they swing their attack. Now I need to state that I was using insta blind as more of an example of survivors getting put down, but yes I do agree the insta blind was useful, and I do think that nowadays most killers are very weak, however what makes them strong isn't the way you play them, it's the insanely powerful addons they all have access to, and hopefully something like that won't come out of something like the Freddy rework.

Endgame is not situational. The endgame is supposed to be in the survivors favor, since the that's the state right after the survivors successfully completely all 5 generators and the killer did not put enough pressure onto the survivors. Survivors aren't supposed to have tension or struggle during endgame unless the killer has brought perks to do so. What the devs seem to be doing is for some reason put the endgame into the killers favor, and all everyone is saying is to buff it even more because "the time is too short".

Quick edit, I forgot to mention that I have actually experienced the vaulting the entity window glitch, and I hope it gets patched ASAP.

Also toxic behavior should never be a reason to nerf a survivor/killer. Toxic behavior derives from the player playing the game, not the mechanics that the player uses.

@GoatGod me and you could become really good friends, I completely agree with everything you wrote.

  • See people who strictly play killer will undoubtedly agree because of 'MoM'. But I'm not one of those. And it's definitely far from the best time to play survivor. That crown goes to back when pallet vacuum, double exhaustion, Sprint burst was OP and charged every 20 seconds, Maps had like 40 pallets, we'll make it affected the speed you heal too, Infinites were real, Survivors ran funny and they healed so quick.

Don't bother believing this. Survivors are still OP compared to killers, but nowhere near the got tier status they were before.

  • NOED shouldn't activate too then.

  • Honestly, when I used to main Myers, I never ran enduring for that reason. I always ran Brutal Β strength because of how people tend to throw down pallets earlier. Brutal strength was a staple on my build.

If you think Enduring will be better, use it, but I'd take brutal strength or Bamboozle. Your choice though.

@Hoodedfengm1n thank you! I'll take that as a compliment πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

But it's just for a rough idea of what to do, most the playstyle you'll develop will come from only you.

@Poweas I use the final hag strategy, but she’s boring to me. Thank you for making this! <3

@TreemanXD did you win? Also yeah, she's pretty boring when you only protect those 3 gens, I think the way Tru3 plays her is the most fun, since it's funny knowing you've trapped the survivors. Route Hag is a ton of fun too.

Also just random trapping can be a lot of fun, when you fly around everywhere and get lucky triggers.

Idk though, my personal style is boring to some, but satisfying to me.

  • @TWiXT said:

A Bit of a meme, but Franklin's Demise on Hag and Trapper is also great. All their traps need is a little bait, and FD gets you that. It's also funny as hell to jumpscare the crap out of them right right after they pick up their item and knock it back out of their hands (I've actually destroyed flashlights this way). Hag is usually better with this tactic, but only because she has traps to spare.

@TWiXT yeah, franklins is really fun on Hag!

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Ok I think I get it.

You can't put traps everywhere, so you zone off about 2/3rds of the map and give them the 1/3rd for free so you don't have to cover as much ground and from there you can just chase them into your traps at your leisure.

@NuclearBurrito pretty much, choose one of the strategies that suits you best. Honestly, sometimes as Hag you gotta switch between them midgame. Like if you originally trap routes, at some point you might have to switch to a gen protecting playstyle to win. It's difficult. If you learn to smoothly transition between playstyles, you'll be solid.

@Poweas Some bugs are entered in the database but our most crucial audio bugs right now are related to occlusion, footsteps and notifications. We are still gathering data / information / repro on most of them. These are taking priority over other audio issues at the moment.

@not_Queen thanks, I'm ready to wait

  • I'm no Pig main, but I thought she was A tier before. But now she's F tier, im sorry for your loss.

  • Made the Hag guide btw.

  • Wraith can, because of his stealth. Doing a gen means one can sneak right up on you and kill you. He's pretty good at countering it. I'd say Pig too, but she's too slow anyway when crouched.

  • Thanks @Peanits you rock. I was totally afraid she'd stay like this with her cracking noise and her phasing being predictable.

  • @Peanits said:

We've seen a lot of feedback on various audio issues and we've been bringing them to the team. I can't make any promises just yet because bugs are unpredictable, but fingers crossed.

@Peanits thanks for the response, so to clarify, the devs are working on her, and the sound bugs, just not this patch?

  • @KillermainBTWm8 I'll still main her, I just wont be as satisfied and probably play Hag much more.

  • They wont come clean, it's so frustrating. If it was a bug they would have fixed it this patch. They didn't even fix the volume bugs ffs. It's obvious they want Spirit to perish.

  • Spirit- HER CURRENT 'BUGS' THAT WAS ACTUALLY A SHADOWNERF AND WE WERE LIED TO SAYING THAT THEY WERE BUGS. F THAT.

  • I played with @Cake1100 once and it was a fun game.

Then I had a Billy daily after I turned #########, and someone recognised me.. I'm never touching Billy again, I've gone too bad with him to get good without losing my skill as Hag and Spirit that I've worked so hard to make. It was a daily luckily, so I wasn't too mad.

  • Why Hag is better than Billy and Spirit.

Why I think Hag is better than Billy. Hag can spread pain when the survivors are across the map quicker than any other killer in the game, not even Nurse can. She is way better than Billy in chase. She can dominate with Thanatophobia, she can control 1/2 of the map without addons 3/4 with her green range addon alone. She is ridiculously mobile with her traps, joint with Billy. Her map pressure is off the chart and she's everywhere. With STBFL, she's unstoppable. She can control 5 gens at once. That's massive considering Doctor is limited to 3 or maybe 4. She's unpredictable. If you're good enough with Hag, you can even take on SWF, as I do, and still win (Yes I'm that good with her). She's unloopable and amazing at mindgames. She can snowball WAYYYΒ better than any other killer, even better than Billy. I don't need to expand on that, it's common knowledge how good she is at snowballing. She can injure 3 survivors and down 1 in the space of 20 seconds, and with STBFL, maybe even 14 seconds. She can pressure survivors into healing and gets a major advantage if they do. She can sometimes bring the game to a crawl, if they are pressured into healing.Β -Β

The problem doctor has is that a skilled survivor outplays him every time. You can predict his shocks and take advantage of that by not putting yourself in a position where they'll affect you too badly. A skilled doctor can outplay the average survivor but a skilled survivor will always be able to outplay a skilled doctor. Beyond that his power needs very specific situations to immediately end chases and if not he just gets ran for a while. He's good at tracking making him strong in the early ranks but he has 0 pressure in red ranks (honestly I'd consider him one of the worst killers. Fun but not strong)

@ClogWench I'm one of those survivors who bullies Doctors, but some are really smart, if you keep playing survivor, you'll eventually run into 1. Although in my whole 2 years of playing, I've only ran into 2 who can shut down loops guaranteed.

  • @Peanits don't let everyone here annoy you, I'll make a threae tomorrow about what i believe to be the design teams intention behind Legion nerfs.

Although, Pig and Spirit is just questionable. But I'm sure there's something planned.

    in Thanks! Comment by Poweas
  • Hag guide tomorrow btw, remind me on my wall.

  • For me it's weird, as survivor I just like to have a laugh and loop.

As killer, I like to play Spirit even if I lose, or get that satisfying snowball as Hag that I always end up getting mid game and get a 4k.

  • I think I was a potato back then, add me, I got the same username now, and I'm not such a potato at survivor. <3

  • I only know of those 5 playstyles, Hag probably has much more, she's the most versatile killer.

  • @NuclearBurrito said:

Honestly I just want you to make a Hag guide.

@NuclearBurrito soon β„’ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I'll write one down, but I'll probably do it tomorrow and I'll only cover my playstyle. There's like 5 viable playstyles Hag has which is far more than other killers. She has the assault Hag (@SpaceCoconut style) where you trap loops, chokepoint Hag (Tru3).

Momentum Hag (You have traps everywhere and constantly fly around with them), 4-5 gen style (my personal one, at first trap everywhere, once I've got a down, I hook them and set my web around the closest 4 gens, you snowball into chaotic victory quickly and use thanatophobia to not worry about gens since you have 4 people injured for 70% of the game and the last one is:

Route Hag where you trap routes and you use it to injure people, Sloppy butcher and Thanatophobia is really good for this one, and I tend to combine this with my 4-5 gen protecting Hag. It makes for a really strong mid game with a lot of pressure. When using Ruin, your early game is ridiculously strong, but i dont need it and end up snowballing.

I'll make a detailed one covering the combination of Route Hag and the 3-4-5 gen Hag (sometimes a map forces you to only be able to protect 3). But it'll be tomorrow, remind me on my wall.

  • The devs will most likely buff him next patch to a stable level, like they did with Spirit.

With his old power, he was too unstable to buff without making him another Nurse. Now they have a solid foundation for the character. They listened to us with this one. I'm making a thread to explain it to people.
