I know this feeling all too well, my dear friend. I truly wish I could return to 1.8.0. It would be a dream come true!
Also, you mean in-game Freddy or my profile picture?
Your profile picture
-
Yeah the more they update the game the more I wish I could go back to like cursed legacy time
Also where’d Freddy go :(
-
Wonder if she’s a buggy on mobile as in the PC version
-
I think they look pretty menacing. Charlotte is pretty tall and buff and the huge gash in their torso is kinda disgusting especially when Victor is out of it
-
Yep until a character who I want comes out I will keep my 101 cakes on Jane
-
Well there is a lot of situations where the game clearly isn’t survivor sided. If it was a meta build nurse on blood lodge I’d hardly call that a fair match
As for complaints certain killers do need to be nerfed the biggest example being spirit
-
Add the effect to visionary
-
My survivor main is Jeff because he’s a metal head and has cool cosmetics. Second place goes to Jane though
!y killer main has always been clown because I love his power and he’s the only killer I’m good with
-
Bubba is probably the most played killer and Nancy for survivor
Least played would be Laurie and Freddy from my experience

But then where's the stealth aspect of him anymore? You know, half his strength?
It’s non directional remember? And it’s still 28 m which is 10m bigger than his gun range. I don’t mind current slinger but being shot before you can hear him with moniter is pretty cheap

On the contrary, blocking a window with bamboozle at a loop, then placing a tonic between a survivor and the next vault or pallet is extremely precarious for survivors.
Clown shines when survivors remain injured, and Coulrophobia is a fantastic slugging perk that can help Clown snowball when teammates try to get others back up on their feet.
Pop compensates Clown for focusing so much attention on the chase rather than gens.
That’s somewhat true but i feel like certain perks complement his gameplay more like oppression or brutal strength.
As for oni I think they are reaching a point where perk synergy isn’t really too important. Survivors are having a similar issues for example janes perks literally have no synergy at all
-
I found clown to be the same way.
Bamboozle is a perk to help window loops which is something a good clown will never have an issue with
Coulrophobia is a perk that helps killers snowball which is something clown already struggles at
Pop is a perk best utilised by high mobilty killers which doesn’t include clown.
A good set of teachables but they don’t synegise with clown himself

Not a popular opinion of mine, but I think most perks are nowhere near as bad as most perceive them to be. My guess is many players don’t have the patience to experiment and learn, and additionally lack imagination.
I agree that most are decent but why take those when you can take a basic meta build and get more consistent results
I love running Gearhead and oppression on clown but I’d be lying if I were to say it’s better than ruin/undying or ruin/pop
-
Buffing the 75% of perks that are bad. I get the devs do change them but they don’t do it nearly often enough
-
It is too strong imo but logic isn’t exactly a thing in dbd. If it was the case clown would have a heart attack mid trial

I don't like FNAF, to me that game marked the biggest decline in the horror game genre in a long while.
Now instead of having games with good story, unnerving environments and tense encounters we now have streamer horror. AKA jump scare hell. I feel like FNAF is a major contributer to that trend.
Sure for the audience watching your favorite personality get startled in an easy to absorb context is fun, but as someone who doesn't watch streamers at all I want is a game that can make me distressed and uncomfortable, a game that makes me want to turn the lights on in my house or feel an itch on the back of my head as if someone were watching me. I enjoy horror as a media to feel scared. All these jumpscare games do is startle you.
A child hiding behind a door saying "boo!' can startle you. It doesn't make it scary. So for me I have more disdain for FNAF than I rightfully should because most horror games that come out now are jump scare hell with none of the effort of making something genuinely scary. So if FNAF comes to DBD I'm just hoping they don't make his power jump scare based, but they probably will because I mean... What else does that game even have?
Tldr; angry old woman screams at the sky wishing to return to a better time that never existed.
But fnaf has unnerving environments and a pretty decent story
-
If the killer wants you dead no perk is going to stop that not even DS

I’d much rather something much more interesting than a robot with a corpse in it, no joke an internet series inspired by fnaf is better than fnaf solely because it used real horror instead of “scream at you”
Anyways the unique kick and break animations can also fit literally anyone else, silent hill creatures, creatures who are stronger when it comes to upper body strength, and so much more, they could also use a weapon to break it (kinda like spirit)
Fnaf may be suggested alot but most of the time people don’t usually agree with it as FNAF really isn’t considered horror as, and I cannot believe people are desensitized to this,
HORROR.ISN’T.ALL.JUMPSCARES
Silent Hill doesn’t use jumpscares, it uses unsettling imagery to leave the player uneasy for example, fnaf literally is just “dead body in robots that yell at you” and thinking about that sounds bad already, can we PLEASE just leave the idea of fnaf in dbd alone for a while cause everytime this topic is brought up, I basically have to extend my response to tell the person that its not a good idea
What about the disturbing audio design and unsettling locations used in the first 3 games?

STOP STOP CRINGE CRINGE CRINGE
Honestly with trickster in the game I think cringe is allowed
-
Clown’s mix of strategic and mechanical skill is very fun

Didnt they also add back the infinite on groaning with Realm Beyond after removing it.
Kinda but it has a breakable wall now instead
-
Jeff face for him would be hilarious. Bubba with a beard

@glitchboi said:
IMO the maps look good but my god they are balanced so horribly. They ruined Chapel, which was the most balanced map in the game by far.
The face reworks are good but some need polishing, and they need to fix their facial animations, especially Nea's.
The Realm Beyond still has potential IMO, but right now it ain't doing so well map-wise.
my main problem is it feels like all of the balanced maps are becoming worse. Chapel got worse while maps like cowshed stay the same
The faces are mostly okay but some like feng and Quentin changed too much imo and have put off a lot of the people who mained them previously
-
I play on series S with absolutely no issues
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
IMO The Game is THE map which should not use Breakable Walls. All those Breakable Walls created Deadends, which got compensated with more Pallets.
Get rid of some Pallets, get rid of all Breakable Walls and the Map is as it was before. This is by no means good, since The Game was always one of the most boring Maps to play on, but I doubt we can get a proper Rework anytime soon.
Yeah instead of fixing the issues the map had they just multiplied the main issue and created a new one which hinders both sides
-
@indieeden7 said:
Was Chapel considered a well balanced map? The only thing I ever heard about it was that it was tiny, never heard anyone say that it was well balanced.
It was generally compared to coal tower and was considered quite balanced since the small size allowed non mobile killers to create map pressure
Now the main building is way too strong
-
@GannTM said:
Those add ons almost seem like a requirement for Clown. Four bottles until he needs to reload just seems way too little.
It’s not too bad since he can reload in 3 seconds mid chase. 4 bottles is usually enough for a down anyway
-
Yeah Myers is kinda what gave dbd it’s popularity. Getting a huge license that early was one of the best things to happen to BHVR
-
Oni’s POV chase music was by far the best in the game. So sad they removed it
-
I prefer bleach and cork stopper but extra bottles are great and make the antidote much more appealing
-
I enjoy her but I don’t like fountain spawns and how buggy she is which is why I’ve stick to clown

No. Just normal human sizes like Pig/Ghostface/Legion
No issues really though. Some loops are easier to mindgame but it’s nothing major
-
If we’re talking very short like Victor height then no because it makes them very hard to track on certain maps
-
I always thought plague should use a ritual knife for her mori. More fitting to the character imo
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
i really like the focused nature of each character/class in bfn. I like that customisation comes from cosmetics and unlocking character specific perks. I found all the character variants of gw2 a bit overwhelming, and was probably a balancing nightmare.
Not really. BFN isn’t really balanced either tbh (Steam blaster scientist is a great example)
-
Skyrim
Overwatch
Apex
SOT
They are the main ones atm

Quentin, specifically the pre-visual downgrade Quentin.
Yeah me too. He used to be in my main roster but after the rework Ashe has taken his place
-
Tied between Jeff and Jane
-
Billy I guess?
-
These are my favourites
-
Not to mention certain loops being made easier or harder like the chapel window and the nerfed harvester
-
Either give clown a sweater or give hag a really oversized one

what about disabling the ability to gain any BP, XP , Rift Progress and Shards from the next round ?
Each time they DC the number of rounds build up.
Not a bad idea actually. I’d be down for it
-
@Zozzy said:
There are so many loops you can't do anything about as trickster and people are still complaining... WOW
And there’s equally as many where the survivors can’t do anything hence why both sides hate him
-
Always prioritise gens next to loops and use windows while he is cloaked

Trapper maybe, but Legion nah, Legion is definitely better than Trickster.
They can injure multiple survivors easily, and while he is basically just an 1M killer against injured survivors, take in mind he only really needs to hit you once rather than twice like most killers, since he gets the first hit easily with his power, combine that with perks that help on chases like Bamboozle and even more his Fatigue addons and Legion can really shine.
Trickster is more of a niche killer, he is WAY too strong where he shines but really bad where he doesnt, he is kinda of a black and white killer, either he stomps or gets stomped, he is also heavily map dependent.
The problem with legion is that a good looper can shut them down completely. With trickster it’s loop dependent whether your power is good or not and his add on combos are disgusting (Think melodious murder or piercing and explosion)
