I didn't say you said anything. I said presumably you adopt a particular opinion. Now, I haven't done a search of your post history, but I'm willing to bet that if I did, I wouldn't see any threads started by you about how survivors have too many 2nd chance perks and the killers need some assistance. Presuming that to be true, it would seem clear that you're happy about that situation, juxtaposed with you making threads about how certain killers are too overpowered.
And even if you did think that survivors had too many 2nd chances, etc, you'd be in the minority of survivors who think that. You classicly missed my point about the wider issue to focus on your own personal take.
Spirit requires time to get good. You have to learn the mind-game. You have to learn to predict where survivors might go, etc. It's not the same physical skill as a huntress, billy or blight require. It's more of a mental skill. Different category altogether. And some people can adapt to that better than others. I can't aim for poop, so I'm useless with Huntress. But I'm better at putting myself in the survivor position and predicting where they might go... and because you don't like that, I have to lose the very essence of this killer??
You see predicting where a survivor is going and tracking are both non killer specific skills. Let’s take a killer who requires mental ability specific to them ,Hag.
Hag is pretty much 100% knowing where survivors are going to go. This skill is pretty much exclusive to hag( and maybe trapper too). Not to mention hags countered by flashlights and crouching as well as having really fun mind games around traps at loops
As for my post I don’t really complain about second chance perks because it’s been talked to to death and I don’t have anything to add. Of course there are a lot of survivors who think second chances are balanced just like killers who think nurse and spirit are
The only skill spirit has to learn that’s exclusive to her would be cooldown management but there are now at least 4 other killers with this( billy PH legion Blight) so even that isn’t specific to her
-
I’d say slinger. He was able to build a spear gun in the early- mid 1800s that didn’t kill people which is honestly amazing as well as saw traps schematics when he was young
Also clown seems very knowledgeable on tonics and anaesthetics for someone with little education

"IE if you are looking for feedback from Spirit to react to you are already playing against her incorrectly."
"You need to understand what she is seeing and hearing, and then manipulate that to mislead her into GUESSING incorrectly"
You're saying we shouldn't look for feedback against spirit, so if we dont have feedback, that's basically a guessing game (the definition says that)
It is a guessing game, a UNFAIR guessing game, cause your opponent (the spirit has information about the survivor) while... the survivor doesn't have any, cause:
- She doesn't move grass
- Shards glow... yes they do, but you have to be really close to the spirit to actually see something, and probably you're going to be dead if you do that
- Spirits hears sound, and yeah you would say "Just use iron will" but literally every spirit is using stridor which kills iron will.
Other than that there's not information for the survivor to play around
Thank you for explaining my point better than I ever could

We all know you can't play the same way with every killer and expect the same outcome.
When I play against a spirit (having urban evasion helps me) I go around the map at the beginning touching every gen so it's harder for spirit to track which one anyone is working on and then try to hide whenever I hear her approaching.
I hope it helps you too.
Problem is stealth at its core is very inconsistent and not very fun to me

Then why did clown, doctor, bubba and Freddy all get reworks?

But isn't the survivor adage against killers that play poor "git gud"?
So your argument is, if a killer player gets good at a killer... you want that killer nerfed for all players??
And yet at the same time presumably you're happy with the abundance of 2nd chance perks that good survivors can use to totally break the game. Breaking the game is just a perk of putting in the hours to get good enough to bully killers?
Interesting.
Firstly when did I say second chance perks were fine? They have their place but need to be toned down
secondly I have no problem with someone who is good at balanced killers like huntress blight and billy. My problem is killers like spirit require little skill to become good with but are also very potent
You’re making very baseless assumptions here

Yes but what I am trying to say here is that spirit against a healthy survivor is skin to a reverse situation to the norm for killer.
The killer has to use "advanced" strategies (moonwalking) to make up for the inherent disadvantage at mind games.
Of course the comparison is kind of a stretch but I think that this reverse situation is the reason for all the anger.
The argument that survivor want all killer to be played against in a similar fashion is an observable trend given that the most hated killer are the ones that can't just be looped like normal e.g. ph, slinger or spirit. Hag and nurse would also fall in this category but either have more than enough counterplay, are bugged or both so you find less "pls nerf/fix killer x" threads about them.
Tbf I actually really enjoy PH now
Other killers like huntress plague trapper and billy all change up normal looping and mind games and are a blast to play against
But killers like slinger or spirit aren’t liked because they don’t give the survivors any way to show the looping ability as their powers completely ignore loops which is bad for the game imo

Not really a 50/50 with a 3rd person camera, being able to look from behind cover vs a first person cam while also having a red light shining in walking direction (and yes I know moonwalking).
And let's not talk about stretched res to look over some loopable obstacles.
Stretched res is bullshit I’ll agree about that but it isn’t used to often
Moonwalking is very common and counters the survivors inherent camera advantage mind you spirit doesn’t even have to

and I'm tired of chasing survivors for 30-40 seconds and gens start pop all over the map
aso when I'm tunneling a survivor for the enterie game even if 3 escape or if I depip honestly I don't give a @#&@.
If someone use sabotage or the locker stun.
Sabotage is probably the most ineffective strategy besides flashlights and head on is the easiest thing to bait in the game
If you leave over these I don’t know what to tell you
-
Took me about 800,000 to get moniter and abuse on slinger :(
-
Without a doubt Clown
Ever since I got the game about a year and a half ago The clown had always been my go to killer. Because I’ve put a lot of hours into him he’s actually very good.
His rework isn’t that interesting to me so I very rarely use the antidote but I still play him like a I always did

#########, you weren't supposed to say it.
The point is to avoid yourself getting slugged by forcing charlotte to come pick you up and drop you or leave you free because she's far away.
Well the devs changed it to be this way so I’m fine with doing it. It should be longer though
-
@[Deleted User] said:
You're not supposed to juke him, but you can try losing him if you're healthy. If he was wasn't as powerful as he is now at downing, twins would be trash tier.
There's also another action to resort to when you are about to get downed, but i'm not saying that one, figure it out yourself, because it's a counter and i don't want more people knowing this counter.
As in lockers? They do work but Charlotte has to be far away

The whole "if you dont like it, just dont use it" argument is completely flawed because even if you dont use them, you still gotta see other people use them.
What about character identity though? Yui always wears neon or bright clothes as that’s her style. No different to how Jeff wears jeans and leather jackets.
Anyway why doesn’t this have a place in the game where you blind pyramid head with a flashlight in the badham preschool?

I'm also really not a fan of all the neon cosmetics. Again, they look really goofy and out of place. I really wish DBD had stuck to it's original dark and grimy aesthetics, but I guess bright obnoxious stuff makes money.
I mean these are clothes the survivors probably wore. One of the things that defines nea as a survivor are her very expressive outfits same goes for yui and Jane. If you don’t like them you can continue to use the cosmetics you do like
-
Look at the cosmetics we have
This survivor is from the real world is she not?

I want spirit to be fair because the idea of a killer focused on interesting predictions is very cool but she’s just too strong right now

No spirit is often a 50/50 especially when its a window/dropped pallet on which side she guesses you're on.
Quiet literally a 50/50 because if she guesses wrong you get distance.
If you’re healthy yes
But if you’re injured it’s like an 80/20

Blight is great unless you get a map with items that don't have proper collision. Ormond, Swamp, and Autohaven can be absolutely infuriating as Blight. I love him to death and have been playing him a lot, but the bugs where you just sliiide off things when you hit at a 45 degree angle is genuinely the most frustrating thing in the game for me right now, as either side.
Very true and I hope they fix this

Resilience spine chill is great for vaulting faster and Ds is needed for solo

Literally every killer has to deal with the "it's just a guess" while dealing with intelligent survivors who actually attempt to juke.
Literally every single killer.
But those are equal 50/50’s
Spirits are not

@[Deleted User] said:
stridor is busted on her, but then when you have a killer who has no sight and relies on sound and iron will exists its only fair that stridor exists too.
Agreed iron will is busted. They need to put a timer on it. But spirit can use other visual things to track survivors

Press ctrl sometimes. It's no different in practicality than bull rushing a Nurse when you know her blink is about to trigger and juking random directions. Sometimes the killer just guesses correctly and hits you anyway, and you can't really do much about that.
Yeah that’s my issue that it’s just a guess on my side
-
@ProfGameAndTalk said:
I think that people who DO main Spirit don't want her reworked. I know I don't.
A rework isn’t really necessary just make it harder to track survivors while phasing and have a consistent tell for survivors so long as they’re close
-
I’ve been saying this but people still think there’s some unknown strategy that works every time.
I’ve tried tru3’s strays and everything recommended to me but they’ve only worked against terrible spirits
Anyone who thinks they have counterplay should do a custom against a good spirit and try them

Memes aside, I want another survivor like Adam, to Jeff. I'm gonna be honest, I feel like they're way more unique than most of the new survivors, which have all been conventionally attractive people.
Not that Adam and Jeff aren't attractive ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Jeff was always my favourite because of his uniqueness
Until Jane anyway

Hooks since points are of most importance to me as opposed to kills

@Mandy said:
It's not just 360's that were the issue for survivors but the transitional animation that felt incredibly sluggish and made it very difficult to dodge hits from specific killers. We all know that 360's rarely work and that they're pretty much a last resort if you've got nothing left to use - you might has well try the 360 as you've got nothing to lose from doing so as you're going to get hit regardless.
You could lose your speed boost distance but dodging slinger or huntress shots was pretty rough with the sluggish movement glad they changed it
-
An Indian survivor would be cool we don’t have you yet so I’d like to see that
-
They haven’t stated anything yet but I wouldn’t be surprised. I don’t mind it personally though
-
Honestly an underrated perk but I’ve barely used it
-
I mean Myers is still fairly easy to loop even in tier 3 and he’ll spend like half the game just trying to get it so it’s honestly quite fair
Tombstone piece on the other hand

he can make more distance than her i guess ? ^^
It’s just inconsistent tbh. Not like nurse really needs it anyway
-
Spring trap would work in my opinion. He’s a serial killer locked in a suit. His outfit can’t be too stupid when mr puddles exists. Can’t think of a power for him though
We need scissorman though he’d be cool

Used to main clown but ever since his rework I’ve fallen off him. Now play plague and Freddy

Oh you are right about DS, he is a M1 ^^ as for Blight he is a M2 coz his lethal attack are M2 attack and doesn't count for perk like STBFL for example ^^
I just find it weird that blight( A killer who will mostly use m2 to down) doesn’t count but nurse does.
-
@Adeloo said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1969859#Comment_1969859
Yeah she has to use M1 to attack. You could compare her to either Spirit or Wraith : they all three use their ability to travel but cannot attack with it. But Legion can actually attack while using his power, similar to Deathslinger.
Huntress and PH are different are they are range killer.
The easy way to tell if a killer is a M1 killer is : the way they hold their weapon.
- using the same weapon on every hit = M1 (Wraith, Nurse, Spirit, Freddy, Hag, Trapper, etc)
- using different weapon or attack mode = M2 (Bubba, Hillbilly, Huntress, Deathslinger, Oni, Myers, Demo, etc)
Deathslinger can only down people with an m1 tho.
Also blight uses his main weapon for his special attack

More a slowdown/cooldown like every other killer has
-
@GeneralV said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1969994#Comment_1969994
Well, his snares are indeed spammable, but placing them strategically is much better and more effective. Besides, it is relatively easy to stay awake. If people play Freddy properly, there is nothing wrong with his kit.
I don’t think Freddy is op just a bit too strong for how little effort he is to play. If he had a slowdown this would reward good snare placement and punish people who just spam them
-
Not a hag main but binding your teleport key to the scroll wheel can help a lot
-
Yes some more consistent would be nice
-
@GeneralV said:
Honestly, I would love to see his old kit back. But they will probably do something boring and unnecessary, like a slowdown or a cooldown.
Tbf his snares are very spammable. Either make it easier to stay awake or make it have some sort of slowdown

Did see a clown with the Halloween knife Santa body and mr puddles head
