I think it'd be interesting if we change NOED from giving exposed to completely removing the TR, keeping the speed increase of course.

Ooo, that sounds like a more interesting idea!!! Would it still be a totem though?

Not sure, tbh not being exposed will give them a false sense of security and ignore the totems.

Very interesting, this would be a complete rework though, one that's appreciated

I love the change to DS because it gives the perk a requirement beforehand like Deliverance, they both give Survivors a second chance because they deserve it. That perk requires a Safe Hook Save beforehand, this would require any Altruistic action like healing or a safe hook save or body blocking etc. And the counter to this is the same for Deliverance, just hook them first.

I don't like the NOED change though, it's almost not even a change tbh, how many people go the entire match and not hook anyone? I get that if no one got hooked then this perk would be a wasted slot and not reward bad plays but I think it would be rare. I mean yes, there are lots of matches where maybe one or two people never got hooked so this perk would not work on them. If the other two were hooked and are still alive it would help kill them quicker but could not be used on the others. It does reward good play because it has a requirement but should it still be a totem with this requirement since it is very situational? It could be very powerful or weak depending on the match and not on the power itself, it rewards skill but gets taken away if someone destroys the totem so no reward for hard work. I think it is a step in the right direction though I really do.

Understandable, I don't really know what I would do to noed, I just want something that rewards you for playing good instead of being there to just fix your really bad mistakes. I appreciate the thoughts

  • Finally someone gets it!!! While the knife is similar to Ghostfaces' their aesthetic overall just screams The Strangers. Even the deep wound effect matches how the Strangers kill. Ghostface is more like "I'm going to gut you like a fish." kind of approach

  • A hole would be much better to have and it gives another balanced landing spot. Or we could just widen the doorways and staircases

Almost worthy of another conversation, but I think there are some Cosmetics that are so popular, that others are neglected.

I only ever see Doctors with Blighted body now, and have yet to see the Victorian body.
Similarly, with David King, I only ever see the Shirtless skin and have never seen the Rowdy Boy Rose Training Jacket, which I proudly sport and is also my answer to your question! :)

Yeah, some cosmetics are very underrated. I wanted to buy the Victorian doctor body and cane but I already spent so much on all the killer blight cosmetics that I'm holding off from buying any until the new chapter comes out because I'm going to buy that and a few cosmetics like Santa clown and a few Christmas sweaters for my fave survivors

It's really all a matter of opinion, for example I think Freddy has potential to be mid-tier with the best addons and some knowledge of the character but that doesn't necessarily mean he's better than some other killers. They're all unique in their own way

But fact is that one of the main factor of tier list is how deadly and how fast killer can down survivors. Not the only, but the most important factor

Well if we're talking about downing survivors, leatherface has got a deadly tool but it comes with a few downsides. It's slow to charge and easy to avoid with obstacles around, Sure he can break pallets but it still takes the same amount of time as if you were just going to kick it. If the survivor vaults a window while you're chainsawing then he can vault through it and if your not quick you get stuck in a tantrum. Pig and Doctor are loopable but they still slow down the game a bit. Even if it's by a few seconds or if there's bad rng, you could have gotten a hook in that time that they wasted. Leatherface doesn't really have that. At least in my opinion

I'll probably be playing Jo the most. Susie is great though, most creative mask by far. I can't wait to hear their voices too!

Sadly, she will be to own in the store... Propably for 1100 auric cells

Unfortunately, if they do come by default it would be amazing but that sadly won't happen most likely. I enjoy spending money on cosmetics but these are lore characters

Yeah, It would be really amazing... but she is unfortunately very detailed, so I guess she will to buy.. (I HOPE NOT)

Yup, we've just gotta have a tiny bit of hope

Why do the licence holders hate us?!

  • @Peanits do you think you could help OP out?

  • I'd say either just make it so you have to hold it or have it so you don't have to press anything just press space, X, or A. It's a game you shouldn't have to be inconvenienced in real life. That's why they changed the flashlight blind because if you were playing in a dark room that light was annoying AF, now it's nicer when you get blinded

  • I really hope that with the dedicated servers comes the possibility of a kill with friends mode. That would be a huge thing that is added to the game and I know many people would play it

  • @redsopine01 said:
See now I wish I had a lol button because this is a silly thing I mean think on it despite it being a 18 game little kids play this is the devs put in nude skins then boom lawsuits from parents company could lose it's licence did is recalled and the game and company is dead just like what ya get and that's it

Technically speaking it's a rated M game so therefore the kids shouldn't be playing it in the first place but you know...Kids are already playing GTA and CoD, Fortnite didn't take them all

  • Power range for Freddy is extremely underrated, they both stack so you can just walk around with your power up and you're bound to catch someone and when they're both stacked the range is farther than your terror radius

  • @Shadoureon said:
The whole direct link to peoples profiles should have been removed a long time ago. DBD is the only game I know where people actually put their profiles on private because of the harrassement and dodging.

    Sad but true

  • I'll buy it but I don't think I'll play Legion as much as how I played Spirit and Clown when they released. The perks are meh but the map is nice. Survivor comes with some really good perks so that's good, I'm all in for more variety. Only thing I'm not excited for are the balance changes but it is what it is ya know. As a Freddy main I take the locker changes personally so I guess I'm going to have to add iron maiden into my build and I might have to stop playing Doctor with the BT changes because I like big terror radius and that should hurt me in my end game. Anyway this next patch will be kinda meh for me, I'll continue playing and hope it all goes well. Excited for the optimization patch tho

  • Only game that should go free to play now is F13 the game, loved that game so much until I realized they can't fix it and they can't add more content. That studio legit broke my heart, seeing one of my favorite horror icons become a punching bag. It hurt me more than when BHVR nerfed Freddy

I feel like the "Near the Killer" soundtrack wouldn't work near as well without the heartbeat.
And i do think the soundtrack's pretty nice, but i also think such games might actually profit more from not having a soundtrack.
At least, i imagine it might be scarier to go from hearing nothing to suddenly SMACK, ARGH, KILLER, RUNNING!

It would be really cool to have a hard mode without terror radius but I've heard that music really helps bring the horror. That's why horror moves normally have that creepy music in the background because they help create an ambiance to build up the tension before the scare

Really? The HUD is all your perk icons, the area where you can see the status of your fellow survivors etc.

Down in the lower left there's an icon showing what item (and add-ons) you have, if you have one. It also show their charge and how close you're to consuming your item.

Thank you. Sorry but this is the only game I've played. I saw my son playing it and liked it so created my own acct to play. I can only learn things by asking so not sure why everyone has such a negative response. I'm completely new to this. Thank you again for your help.

Just a precaution, if you're on ps4 or Xbox it's recommended by many players to turn your messages to friends only. There's many "special" people in our playerbase that can be pretty rude to other players so make sure to do that if you don't want a salt museum

Or just inconsol report them which leads to them getting account banned for his violations

Yup  but I think it's better to just not receive those messages, I turned mine off when I think I had enough salt in my museum

Trapper-Reserved but isn't opposed to having a brief conversation with the chattier killers. Will never initiate it though. Also acts as the "Mouth of the Entity". Probably dislikes the Doctor and the Legion. Doc because he's a handful, Legion because he thinks they're unworthy of the "honor" of being killers for the Entity. However, he shares a strange bond with Amanda. The two can be seen talking and building traps and strange contraptions. The Doctor swears that he saw the Trapper laugh once when he was with the Pig but no one believes him.

Wraith- Very reserved. Shares a strange bond with the Nurse, which explains the bandages on him. Used to refuse to cooperate with anyone other than her but he's come around to the Spirit. She seems to sense fragments of a good soul in him and the Nurse. Shattered entirely and nearly impossible to find, but there. Just dormant. No issues with anyone since he doesn't go near anyone he doesn't feel comfortable around.

Hillbilly- Peculiar. Has fits of rowdiness and has fits of isolation. Just like a child throwing a tantrum, he can swap emotions very quickly. Mumbles incoherent nonsense but basic words and phrases are able to be comprehended if you spend enough time with him. Nice to those who show him affection such as the Nurse and the Cannibal and the Hag, who has become his "new" family. Whether or not he "dines" with them is up in the air. No issues with anyone because everyone is a bit scared of him.

Nurse- Doesn't speak due to her... condition. Still makes an effort to visit everyone in the Killers' side of the Fog. As stated above, most fond towards the Wraith for reasons unknown. Feels a great deal of pity for the Spirit, knows that she doesn't belong here. No qualms with anyone.

Shape- Don't expect to get a word out of him and do not approach under any circumstances. Does what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants. He's gone as far as attempting to kill almost every killer that showed up before him. He's "calmed" himself but still, extremely competitive. Detests the Trapper especially. Has had numerous altercations with the Nightmare but the two seem to tolerate each other now. Enough to warrant spending time waiting for trials near each other. It's unclear if the Shape enjoys listening to the Nightmare but it wouldn't be stupid to assume he does.

Hag- Spends the majority of her time with the Cannibal. Not because the two like each other but because of well... the predicament that the two share. An eternal hunger for human flesh. Very barbaric and barely human, the Hag shouldn't be approached by anyone other than "Bubba". The Pig, the Nightmare, and the Legion all stay very far away because of this. She's not intentionally malevolent, that's just the way she was forced to be.

Huntress- Also very reserved (notice a trend?). Keeps to herself and preps for each trial after completing one. Enjoys the company of the Nurse but always is surprised that she's able to get away so easily. Likes the Legion because they're small and a bit taller than the kids she used to "take care" of. The Legion is very creeped out by her, other than Susie that is. Everyone else that's cognisant finds her peculiar, the others don't give a damn.

Doctor- An outlier amongst the Killers.Very loud, very obnoxious, and very interrogative. After each trial, he pesters the Killers for details and this leads to a large number of quarrels. The Entity would step in but they find the in-fighting quite entertaining. Writes down the information he obtains in a thick and grisly looking journal. Reading it would be a huge mistake. Trust me. Don't. It wouldn't be fun. Doesn't hate anyone but everyone basically hates him, to one degree or another.

Cannibal- Mute aside from grunting and squealing like a pig, the Cannibal is an interesting case. He can actually cook, despite there being no need to eat in the Entity's realm. The Hag appreciates him greatly for this but still, her stomach is bottomless. Enjoys tinkering on his saw with the Hillbilly when not eating/cooking. No one messes with him because everyone feels a bit bad for him and his mental state. The Nightmare stays away because he worries about what that chainsaw can do to him.

Nightmare (I like to think of this Freddy as Englund despite the facts. I just detest the remake, okay?)- Basically a toned down Doctor. Aggressive, obnoxious, charismatic, and narcissistic. Insists that he's simultaneously better than everyone at killing and just a poor soul who was framed during his life as a human. Makes an effort to mess with all the killers. The thing that sets him apart from the Doc is his ability to make a few of the killers chuckle with garbage jokes and puns (Frank enjoys having quip/roast wars with the Nightmare. The winner of these fights is usually a tie since both parties end up laughing til they cry). Hangs out with the Shape the most due to him having infinite patience when he wants. Would never say it, but he has a certain liking for Frank.

Pig- This is where it gets interesting. The Pig is one of the most human/sane killers. She has a journal and writes in it frequently, documenting a plethora of things. Think Benedict Baker from the other perspective. There are slivers of remorse in her, but they're quickly snuffed out every time she puts on the mask. She isn't obnoxious but she does enjoy conversations. She's the only person to reach the Trapper other than the Entity. Besides the Trapper, she enjoys hanging out with the Legion since she's into the same aesthetic and music and she's only a handful of years older.

Clown- Despite being a clown, the Clown is very reserved. He occasionally shares a conversation with the Nightmare or the Trapper but other than that, he keeps to himself. No one knows why but it's because the Clown is deeply disturbed mentally and fears that if he opens himself up to anyone they'll ruin everything he's worked for (feathers, fingers, etc.). No qualms with anyone but greatly dislikes the Doctor and Huntress. The Doctor because of his insistence that the Clown tell jokes and dance and the Huntress because she's one of the fingers he desires for his collection but knows he can never have. Weird stuff, man. Weird. Stuff.

Spirit- A truly sad case. The Spirit is one of the most innocent killers and is very reserved. She spends most of her time doing a mix of seething and sobbing. The Nurse helps her and makes sure the Doctor comes nowhere near her. She's like a daughter to her. The Wraith understands her grief and tries to comfort her as best he can. Just because they're murderers doesn't mean they don't have regrets and their fair share of grief.

Legion (Since there are four individuals here, they'll each be split up, all references to the Legion above applies to all of them though):

Frank: A smartass and someone who grew up a bully, Frank has had some trouble behaving himself in his new home. He originally tried the "tough guy" approach but quickly realized he was fresh meat and the only thing stopping the others from killing him is the "spider crab thingy in the sky". Spends a lot of time with Julie, because, well, they're dating. Enjoys listening to the Nightmare speak and tell stories and he also spies on the Shape (who's fully aware of Frank by the way) because he thinks he's awesome. Spends his private time daydreaming and listening to his walkman and the strange punk mixtapes that he keeps finding. He's got a theory that they're a gift from the Entity. Has no beef with anyone.

Julie: A preppy girl who wanted to be punk so bad she fell in with the wrong crowd and eventually became the wrong crowd, Julie became far more stoic and stalwart once she entered the Entity's realm. She loves Frank still and still loves spending time with her friends but she's become far more serious. She has a notebook she draws in that has caught the attention of the Doctor and the Pig. Surprisingly, she can put up with the Doctor to a certain degree and enjoys the spare literature he has. No issues with anyone.

Joey: Just as bold and brash as before, Joey enjoys causing a ruckus and has done his best to prove his worth to the others. Whether this is through attempts at intimidation or blatant showboating, Joey persists on being a "badass". Deep down inside, he's a bit terrified at the fact that he's a serial killer and surrounded by others like him. Spends a lot of time talking to the other Legionnaires and has attempted conversation with the Trapper multiple times (Joey assumes he's the leader) which was met with replies that were more akin to a "leave me be, kid" than an actual answer. When all else fails, hanging out with Frank and causing a commotion is always an option. He's tried to start fights with the others but has gotten nothing from anyone.

Susie: The shy and naive girl from Ormond has surprisingly found her place. She thinks all the killers are awesome and spends most of her free time away from the Legion attempting to start a conversation. The Shape even lets her ramble to him but picks her up and puts her near the other Legionnaires when he gets sick of her. Enjoys spending time with the Pig since the two have similar music tastes. The Pig really does like Susie and is considering making her a protege of hers. No one has any issues with her because everyone practically likes her.

Jesus Christ... That took ages to write down. Hopefully, you guys like it and hopefully, @not_Queen or any other dev agrees with some aspects of this!

I love this waaaay to much

I mean it's not 100% official, but it seems safe to go by.

Eh, I just don't want people getting upset because the release wasn't on the day they thought. I'll go ahead and hope it releases on the 11th but if it doesn't then it's no biggie.

  • Oh thank the entity, I thought the Korean feminists were invading the forum again based on the OP's title, it's just spam bots though so we're good.

  • The wiki says on the 11th but that is simply speculation, devs have not revealed an official release yet so if it's not the 11th then it's probably a few days or 1 or 2 weeks after

  • Which ones??? Pallets? Killer? Survivor? Weapons?

  • Getting that Blood warden with that one toxic player in the game getting hooked and killed

  • Ok, prepare for my headcanon between all the killers. Trapper can be fierce and bossy sometimes but deep down he's a real softie, Wraith normally keeps to himself but he'll talk to the others every now and then. Hillbilly is a speedy boi and is always hyperactive and he kinda annoys the others sometimes. Like Wraith, Nurse also keeps to herself except that when one of the group members screw something up she's always gotta be there to fix it. Micheal just stands in the back and watches, he's just a shape, he doesn't do much. Hag is the grandma of the group and she'll always have some recopies ready to cook, Leatherface helps her out too. Doctor is a real jokester, always playing pranks on the other but when someone gets back at him he always gets upset and asks them why they did that. Huntress is the simple one of the group, she enjoys hanging out with the other girls, having a tea party and chatting but when she hangs out with the guys she goes crazy and starts doing these crazy things that always leaves the others in awe. Leatherface helps out hag with recopies but he's always trying to sneak in some chili for some reason. Freddy is the edgelord of the group, he's always in a bad mood and when Doctor tried to play a prank on him he almost got his face slashed off, he's avoided Freddy ever since. Pig is the smarter one of the group, always helping them out with mechanical problems and having to fix the hooks all the time, sometimes she has to help them by just turning something off and back on again, she always loves to play games with the others though. Clown is a weirdo, always looking at everyone's fingers, inspecting them. He really likes Spirits fingers but she always gets freaked out around him so he never gets a good look, he also likes Freddy's claws but Freddy always gets pissed off around him. Spirit is one of the most friendly people in the group, always saying hi to the others and hanging out with everyone whenever she can, while she is normally happy you DO NOT want to get her mad, Doctor got her really upset once and she let out a cry of fury chasing him all over the Yamaoka estate, nurse had to stop her and Doctor apologized so they're cool again, her favorite drinks are Monster energy drinks. Legion are the edgy troublemakers, they're always causing trouble and they've never done anything productive, this one time they hid all of Spirits limbs around The Pale rose and everyone had to go help look for them. While they're youngsters they always get a scolding from Hag and Nurse, Huntress and Doctor find them funny sometimes but then again they go too far at times. While everyone has their ups and downs sometimes in the end they're all friends so they deeply care about each other and when someone needs help, they'll gladly help each other out (Yes even Micheal helps sometimes)

  • No, the game isn't even that expensive compared to other games and the cosmetic store and DLC's are fine in terms of pricing.

  • Well, then SWF would be stuck with insanely long que times because most killers will have them blocked, ESPECIALLY at high rank.

  • I used to play her because I liked being sneaky, that was until I realized you can pretty much do it with every survivor. I like playing Quentin, Tapp, Adam, Laurie, David and a few other characters too. When I do play Claudette though I always wear the shirt that Tru3Talent has for her.

  • Yes, dream transition phasing is pretty good and I think it should tell the player when he's phasing as well so those that don't really know the times can get a better understanding about it and possibly learn it. I love to run range add-ons too, mostly because I can play Sniper Freddy with them. But if we're talking about just QoL changes then no actions while dream transition is happening would be good, slightly decrease skill check chances in the dream world, if you wake up using self care it resets your heal bar to 0, Also fire up needs to be changed. Right now it only takes effect at 2 tokens and the numbers are just really low and it's not worth taking. I'd suggest changing it to 1 token 12% action speed bonus, 2 tokens 14% action speed bonus, 3 tokens 16% action speed bonus, 4 tokens 18% action speed bonus, 5 tokens 20% action speed bonus. Also no skill checks during dream transition. I had this one idea though that because the long dream transition time hurts you a lot in the endgame it could be changed a bit. So 5 gens left 7 seconds, 4 gens left 6 seconds, 3 gens left 5 seconds, 2 gens left 4 seconds, 1 gen left 3 seconds, No gens left 2 seconds. This would mostly be if he got reworked a bit instead of just QoL buffs though. It could work better though if it showed you when you phase so some players have a better understanding of the phasing. Anyway I think I covered most of it, at least the major weaknesses . Thanks for summoning me as well @ChesterTheMolester

Like I already mentionned in another thread about the subject, the trailler and the name of the chapter seem to indicate that Legion in its early developping stage might have been a "killer hiding ammong survivor"

Of course the proof are loose and the only way to really know would be to have the dev speak about it.

Honestly they should have been like the pig. The hiding as a survivor part should have been the first part of their power and what we have now should have been the secondary one.

Which wouldn't work against SWF, which make up 70% of lobbies.

It should have been that each of Legion's persona had their own power, switching power would switch the persona.

Yeah, while that idea would be much better, a killer that's made to look like a survivor can't have that be his only power. It would need a second power to compensate for the SWF because we've got to take everything into account. It would have to be viable because if that was it's only power then it would just be another M1 loop able killer
