Its not just them breathing? Some of them don't have a.. "normal" breathing noise.
-
The Undying + Ruin combo is a perfect example of everything wrong with DbD, if you ask me. Survivors can push through the generators so fast that Killers do everything that they can to stop that.
-
For killers, maybe. Not for survivors.
-
There are other priorities in Dead by Daylight than fixing the game itself. The console version is a perfect example. Its just as broken, if not more, than it was on release and there's literally nothing happening about it.
Another perfect example is their reluctance to add a colorblind mode because of "unfair advantages". They forget that every major E-sport game in the world got colorblind mode and it ain't exploited. Its a lazy-arse excuse.
-
How would a thick boy like Daddy even fit into DbD? He wouldn't be able to go through a door frame.
-
BHVR has even confirmed neither is bannable.
-
Nothing in Dead by Daylight is going to change unless something forces BHVR off their arses. The game needs to have a proper competitor, fighting for the playerbase. Players need to stop spending their money on Macrotransactions, the Rift and DLCs so that BHVR start panicking a little.
Until that happen, BHVR is just gonna keep rolling along cashing in free money.
-
There should never be a punishment for wanting to play together with friends. That's how you make things worse.

It's not because it's a mentality, it's because survivors reward camping. As a killer, why wouldn't you just sit tight and wait for survivors to stop all progression while you continue yours? If your opponent is making a critical error, you don't correct them or make one yourself "for fairness" or because "it's not fun", you take advantage of it.
That's also true. Most survivors are incapable of letting their fellow survivors die on hooks and just push generators. It does make sense, as there's so many perks that grant second chances and such. Overconfidence.
-
It have already been tried and abused, so it was cut out.
People need to learn that if you're gonna have a better impact on people's playstyles if you reward them for playing the way you want, instead of punishing them for not.
I mean, even if you made it so that campers got literally no points whatsoever, depipped and got banned for 24 hours for camping.. some still would, because its a mentality. A state of mind.

Pumpkinhead and Springtrap. Also a werewolf killer of some sort.

The only thing Stadia offers is severe input delay due to lag. You must have been right nextdoor to a server center.

Bad Playstyles are part of every video game, BHVR won't embrace it. Notice how they haven't fixed Forever Freddy? How keys remain the same? How moris are not changed? Why is NOED singled out here? Let players play how they want, that seems to be BHVR's look on things. Plus it's a hex perk anyway, if survivors are efficient then NOED will be cleansed before it existed
To be honest, the only thing BHVR really care about is if players are spending their money on macrotransactions, rift levels and DLCs. There's little incentive for them to do better when money comes in without them having to do anything other than pumping out new content.

No.
But then again. I don't buy cosmetics so..

People have been saying demogorgon is too loud and gives too much info, but how much ground can this argument cover? Let’s see:
I’ll be listing every killer and their global audio cue then compare them to demo:
- Trapper: global sound cue for when a trap gets disarmed
- Wraith: Swoosh sound every time he cloaks or uncloaks, + bell sound when he’s near.
- Hilbilly: Chainsaw sounds, not 100% global but still can be heard from long distances
- Nurse: global screeching sounds
- Myers: global halloween theme + exposed icon to survivors in tier 3
- Hag: this one is probably the most subtle but you can hear a slight sound whenever she takes a trap. test in kyf if you don’t believe me.
- Huntress: SHING kinda sound when her hatchet is fully charged, and global
- Doctor: both static blast and shock therapy have global sound cues.
- Bubba: like hillbilly
- Freddy: Air wooshing sounds when he’s teleporting, and global.
- Pig: she doesn’t have a global cue but she does have an ambush cue, and you can see the progress of your teammates traps
- Clown: survivors screams when intoxicated are global. + he grunts when he vaults so shack double vault mindgames are impossible with him.
- Spooreh: Phasing sounds, not global but can be heard from a decent range, because it would just be a buff if the phasing was global since you won’t tell if she’s near or not.
- Legion: deep wound bar that instantly notifies survivors its legion and every time you see it it means they’re busy frenzying someone (if thats even a word)
- Plague: global cue for cleansing and if she picks corrupt purge
- Ghostface: you can see if a survivor is marked or not and if it’s not you then you can instantly tell its ghostface.
- Oni: Global war cry, and global sound cue for when his power is ready to use
- Deathslinger: global gun shot sound cue
- Blight: you can hear him roar when hes around 20m of you, but hes the only killer that doesn’t have a global audio cue or doesnt give a special effect on the survivors status bar (the one at the bottom left).
Now, what was the point of all this? to prove that every killer notifies survivors on what they’re doing, however demo boi notifies survivors even when he misses or gets stunned when no other killer does that.
Is it a bad thing? Yes and no; No cuz you can use this to your advantage by giving survivors a false sense of security: randomly clicking m1 will notify everyone that you tried to hit someone when you werent even in a chase plus swf get info on what the killer is doing regardless if it’s demo or not, yes cuz if you actually are in a chase survivors will be wary of that, hell you can even hear if someone got dedicated or not, cuz if you hear his global stun noise and see a survivor downed at the same time then it means they got hit as they stunned you. ofc im not saying that demo is fine and that this is justified by any means and he could still use some buffs and an add on overhaul. his m1 and stun noises shouldn’t be global at all, the rest can stay global, like the roar after a hit or the roar while teleporting and for the love of god remove his STOMP STOMP while hes undetectable
I ######### hate that Nr 13 is a thing. Why does Clown need to have a noise that tell Survivors that he's vaulting? Its like they want him to be a tunnel machine.

My sarcasm sense is tingling...
But in case you're serious, I'd rather not pay for tiers. Pretty sure that's why the frag gain is so low outside of challenges, but if I have to make do without a cool Wraith weapon and a bubbling Tiki cup charm, I'll make do. Just be nice if the grind was just a little less extreme in future :)
Ding, ding, ding! Fragment gain is intentionally low so that players might be stricken by FOMO and buy tiers for AC, so they don't "miss out". No doubt there's plenty of people that do. That's why the Rift is only getting grindier.

I am gonna advertise my own BP Offering rework thread here ----> https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/174323/bp-offering-rework-idea
The basic idea is that the offerings are reworked so they all give to every category. 5 of them are only to yourself and 5 are to everyone in the trial. It'd improve the game so much since even the brown BP offerings would be valuable.
I hate that most BP offerings only give to a single category of BP. Its so.. old. Time to mainstream it, you know?

I do understand wanting legacy come back and be given to those who have lost it, but as stated here https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/164287/news-unlocking-event-cosmetics#latest there are no plans for it to be brought back.
Pardon my french but BHVR's excuse is lame as #########. They're shitting on the older playerbase when they know that they're the cause of the faulty save system that they themselves created.
-
Oh, no! What a shocker. You better buy some tier levels for some AC so you don't miss out!
-
Its what I have been saying! Competition is healthy but sadly.. DbD had a headstart and the indie DbD-wannabes that enter the market now lose all their players within a month or two due to severe lack of content.
-
Not mentioning how BHVR is more content with pushing out macrotransactions, DLCs and Rifts instead of improving their game.
-
I'd simply remove the cooldown. Maybe lower the range of it a bit so it doesn't steal Deja Vu's.. niche?
-
@Boss said:
But when will be the next time a chapter will be free?
I'm not here to milk BHVR dry, but i also can't deny getting chapters for free.
I know they said they'd do that "whenever they can do it", but you'd think that would be by now thanks to the Rift being a thing, a buttload of cosmetics, and more people playing on average than ever.
Also, it's probably just an outdated quote by now.
Never again. They've tasted the money raked in from macrotransactions and like any company, they want more of it. Damned be anyone in their wake, even players.
-
I'd never recommend DbD to a friend.
-
Clown. He has been a meme for way too long.
-
I'd rather have Springtrap over many other suggested killers.
-
Its worded extremely badly but the text is basically there to tell you that We'll Make It doesn't stack with itself, aka that you cannot get 200% healing speed for a limited time if you rescue two survivors within a short period of time.

You guys do know you don't have to do the rifts, right?
OP's a guy who's suffering from FOMO but isn't desperate enough to open their wallet up and cash out. Just because you've a will of iron, doesn't mean everyone else have it.
-
His footsteps could also be a global audio cue because they're loud as #########. Makes the few seconds of no TR after leaving a portal useless.
But hey, at least he doesn't make unique noises when he vault windows.. like Clown..

I wish they would get rid of perk tiers...
There's so much that they could do to lessen the game's grind.
Removing the perk tiers is an obvious first choice, as it'd reduce the amount of times you need to unlock perks by 66%.
But there's also;
- Open up BP categories in-game, making BP earned during trials all count towards the 32k cap instead of a specific category at a max of 8k each.
- Rework the various BP offerings so they add bonus to all categories instead of a single category, massively improving their worth.
-
Legacy skins aren't coming back. Heck, people who lost them back in the day thanks to BHVR's faulty save-file system aren't getting them back either.
-
I am in the camp that they should just remove perk tiers all together. It causes such unnecessary grind.
-
Weird. In EU, got almost 1000 hours. Not a single hacker encountered during all that time.
-
There's a reason why people say that you need to play SWF to have fun, the solo experience is literal hell.
-
Forcing survivors to move towards you won't ever fly.
-
Quality game design.
-
I haven't.
-
It sucks, if you ask me. Too bright, too big, too safe.
-
I cannot play Nurse because of motion sickness, which sucks because she's one of the few I got legacy on.
-
Deathslinger, for sure.
-
Negative. I rather have Springtrap than Slenderman.

Yes,camping hurts everyone in a match, the penalty should be different, like literally force the killer to leave the hook and pressure gens.
Even if you literally made so that a camping killer lost all their points and went back to Rank 20 and then got banned for a day, there would still be campers. Its a mindset. People need to learn that the carrot works better than the stick. That's why perks like BBQ was made, cause it rewards the Killer for hooking different survivors and they get to know where the next survivor is.
-
Honestly? I don't care which killer I face, only in what way they prefer to play. Campers and tunnelers just makes the game so miserable, while someone who's constantly on the hunt downing new survivors and such makes the game extremely fun.
-
- Camping actually does hurt killers by draining their points and making it harder for them to rank up. However, since most players seem to be incapable of actually NOT saving, and therefore rewarding the camping killer by trying, camping won't go away anytime soon. Speaking of that, did you know BHVR actually tried punishing killers who stay near hooks by slowing down the sacrificial process? It was abused by survivors so they removed it.
- Killers get more points by default because they're the one who stays the longest in a match. It helps that all of their BP categories involve survivors. Survivors only get a lot of BP if they escape the trial, as one category is basically locked behind if you escaped or not. If you make it so that survivors can gain as much BP as the killer for doing less, then people will stop playing Killer.
- Playing solo survivor is the hardest experience Dead by Daylight can provide. There's a reason why SWF is popular. If you find it too hard, find some friends or join the DbD Discord to find people to play with.
-
- Add bots to replace DC'd players.
- Operation Health update.
- Add an early game event of the EGC to help Killers early on.

I mean, I'd be for it. I'm more for removing the currently terrible offering system from the game, but I'd take this rather than nothing.
It'd be interesting to see how'd the game would function if Offerings was disabled for a week or two.
I don't think it'd be an improvement, however.

Its literally not a mod. Its a Nvidia graphics card feature.
