vice versa XD
Is this really such a complex thing to read? What I mean is, I cannot imagine that there is a single individual that says "gain extra BP in all categories was easy to understand, but I didn't get what they mean with a single category" or even without comparison, I cannot imagine people asking what the yellow BP offering is supposed to do. This is both easily understandable!
Still not getting it. Nevermind, though. Thanks for your feedback and comments.

Don't agree, that isn't "complex" for me just because it applies to one category rather than all. You see the amount of BP per category pretty precisely, and named as well. Not sure if it is a good example but "head left" or "head right" is also no difference in complexity or harder to understand, although the right path might be more difficult. The instruction is pretty straight forward
I fail to understand how "everything" is harder to understand than "this one thing" in this scenario.

I burn yellow BP offerings. I would burn brown as well but normally I don't play one character often enough to waste all of the items/offerings before I prestige. And I always prestige when I reach the BP cap, because I get new and better items for that. So not the brown BP offerings to blame here.
Just as a side note: easy to understand is not really a pro for your suggestion. I think the BP offerings are not hard to understand at all :P
I think it is easier to understand when you say "bonus bloodpoints in everything" instead of "bonus bloodpoints in a single bloodpoint category". That's just me. Its an easier concept to understand that you get more bloodpoints overall than only if you do something specific.
-
BHVR did say that it was a planned feature but that doesn't stop them from squeezing out cash from players who don't have a firm grip of their wallets.
I don't think they'll step up as long as they're getting money from skins with differently colored banner.
-
I've added Ultra Rare variants of the BP offerings as well, increasing the amount from 8 to 10. Its still far less than the base game's 15/16.. and much more valuable.

@humanbeing1704 said:
Funny enough wasn't that the reason they removed original common and uncommon map offerings?
Apparently they missed the clogged up bloodweb. Its a shame. I hate all the useless stuff you find in the bloodweb. Adding more of it doesn't help. Gonna make it worse for new players too, who'd do much better getting a medkit or something instead of an offering that only increase the chance (aka, not guaranteed) for the hatch to spawn somewhere.

I understand that, but considering most the fanbase is 10 and younger I expect most (not all) to throw a hissy fit when they die/don't get a kill. Also for the survivor, they could add one of the nightguards.
You don't believe that those people already exist within Dead by Daylight? It'd not change anything, other than a major influx of new players which is something healthy for any game.
-
The survivor meta will changes when hell freezes over and pigs fly because BHVR are not fans of changing the META for survivors due to the review bombing and noise that tend to happen if they try. As the vast majority of DbD's playerbase, it'd be a ######### business decision to anger your main source of income.

Can you add your reasoning why, I really like to hear why people think a certain DLC is a good addition ^^
Like it or not, but the FNAF franchise that have a large and engaged fanbase and the game series have sold well despite being a niche horror game. Even if you might not like some animatronic bunny robot possessed by a child killer who's corpse still remains within, it'd be a smart business move to add Springtrap as a Killer to DbD as it'd attract the massive fanbase of the franchise.
-
It'd definitely be the introduction of Springtrap.

We need that, more skill, less button smashing and a huge quality of life(real life) change.
It'd not really be "more skill", it'd just be less tedious and healthier for your arm, wrist and keyboard.

They never said they dont need a health chapter. Their team is big enough now to do content AND health updates at the same time. There are different teams dedicatet for each thing like balance, bug fixes, outfits and content etc.
Inform yourself before you talk trash like that.
The problem with that is that they've had updates where they only added cosmetics and stuff broke. Having one team add stuff while another try and fix things won't work in Dead by Daylight because the code is a pasta bolognese.

Yes, but how will they retain new players and make them buy new DLCs when they see the game is riddled with bugs?
Making a health chapter would be a very good investment as more players would stay and buy auric cells/dlcs and would make the playerbase very happy. I see no downsides
Considering how bad the new-player experience is in Dead by Daylight, I wholeheartedly believe that they hope that new players buy a few DLCs and skins in the few hours they play, before they burn out and leave.
-
@Rivyn said:
A health chapter wouldn't bring an immediate injection of cash, which is the real reason why they won't do it.
Yep. Even if it was for the betterment of the game, they'd not do it due to lost revenue. Which sucks. God knows the game needs an Operation Health.
-
It does. I got the achievement when I got Adept David, because I had No Mither. They go hand-in-hand.

Oh yeah because survivors constantly t bagging and bullying the killer is so immersive. I mean i have absolutely no fear of killers but at least I can be immersed in the button mashing
Not gonna argue much about that, I just know that the developers are extremely stubborn in changing the game for the better. They rather stick to the guns, even if its worse, because that's what they've always done. Same deal with the colorblindness mode that everyone affected would want. "It'd give an unfair advantage", my arse.

1-5 matches, depending on how fun I had. Tend to be on the lower scale.

I wonder why you're still playing then, if you're constantly disappointed? Wait, why does everyone else who're disappointed continue playing? 🤔
I've this love-hate relationship to the game.

This is literally the one thing that everyone from Toxic survivors to the sweatiest of killers agree on. They SAID they were taking feedback on it but i don't understand why it couldn't have just been slapped on to the PTB. I thought thats what the PTB was for
The only reason that they've said for not changing the mash spacebar thing is that it'd not be immersive enough.
-
Dope.
-
I've seen them screw up too many times to be optimistic about anything they do. I can expect worse and still be disappointed.
-
I'd like struggle phase to behave more like how it works within the PH's Cage. Assault the survivor with skillchecks and missing skillchecks speeds up the sacrificial process.
I hate the whole mashing spacebar to live thing. It hurts my wrist so much.
-
Its worded weirdly, normal sacrifices count as well as moris.
-
The only thing BHVR sees is a chance for more cash without having to design anything themselves.
-
I play it too much and burn out fast. Then its a few weeks up to a month or two of breaks.
-
BHVR Seal of Quality is stamped wide across this one, by the sound of it. Haven't played DbD yet so I don't know how bad things are.
-
@Boss said:
To me, it'd be just like other Killers: "Ohey, another license. K."
This is my opinion as well. It'd be cool. There's plenty of FNAF fans who'd rush DbD and buy a lot of #########, so its even a smart move marketing-wise to add Springtrap to DbD.
-
You'll have to understand that the power to stun the killer on demand for a lengthy amount of time is extremely strong, right? Like, strong-strong. Still, I am going to entertain the idea.
First things first, that chance to hurting yourself needs to go away. Its like giving the Keys a chance to break in the lock of the Hatch, effectively robbing you of your escape.
And before I start giving more ideas, I see the shotgun as a more rugged and makeshift version of a single-shot shotgun.
The Rusty Old Shotgun is an item that let Survivors fight back by firing a shotgun blast at the Killer. The shotgun breaks after firing, vanishing from the survivor's inventory so it cannot be taken to next game. The shotgun cannot be fired "from the hip" and requires the survivor to take aim. The survivor is unable to turn more than 45 degrees while aiming.
Add-on ideas;
Very Rare - The shotgun is now using a slug as ammo which gives it a slightly increased range and stuns the Killer on successful hit a bit longer.
Very Rare - The shotgun's barrel has been cut-off. Reduces the range but also reduces the time necessary to take aim. Changes model.
Ultra Rare - The shotgun have two barrels and can therefore be fired twice in a trial. Firing the shotgun twice will break it. Changes model.
And as a disclaimer. I do not believe this item should exist in DbD.
-
Its supposed to be but its often used offensively.. which isn't what the perk was made for.
-
I ain't gonna try and convince you because I'd like to see perk tiers removed as well. Its a thing of the past, when there was 20-30 perks. Now.. its faaar beyond that.
I'd also like to see bloodpoint offerings reworked to be more streamlined, so I'd shamelessly provide a link to my own discussion where I provide a rework suggestion;
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/174323/bp-offering-rework-idea
-
Awful. The community is the worst thing about the game.
-
I keep mentioning it in almost every SWF thread I can find that we need to have a lobby indicator for SWF groups, and then reward the Killer and Solo survivors who play against or with them with bonus points.
-
Soon™, I suppose. BHVR needs to figure out how to give hackers the power to inflict the DC penalty on players in their matches first. Otherwise, it'll be disabled once more when Tru3 get struck by another 72 hour ban after a game.
-
That one specific add-on is way too powerful for just being green quality.
-
I'll keep voicing my own opinion and I don't really care what people think about it. Walking tip-toe around to not offend anyone is not worth it.
-
Not sure. I love the gameplay and the concept but hate the community and developers. I tend to play a lot during a week or two, then burn out and take a few weeks to a month or two of breaks.
-
Springtrap. But also a Werewolf killer.

I’m both excited and nervous about upcoming Clown updates. I most definitely will be angry about a rework, or dramatic change from his current power.
I really hope that they don't rework him into something weird and wonky. I want his gameplay to revolve around area-denial and gas bottles but he needs something extra to give him that UNF he needs to be competitive.
-
Its there to generate hype. Make people more interested in spending money for new content.
-
To be honest, it just needs a delay before it lights up and a delay before it goes away.
-
The aura effect is not very reliable considering all the various ways Survivors got to counter the effect but at least it tells me sometimes where to go. I'd only use BBQ without the bonus BP on certain killers that have good map mobility.
-
At least his playstyle is original, if anything. I'd never touch him myself.
-
If it applied an increased regression rate on the generator, akin to what Ruin is doing, then Overcharge would at least have a reason to exist.
-

I'd rather have no map than a repeat of Midwich.
Amen!
-
The Clown needs an upgrade because he's really underwhelming. He's supposed to be strong in a chase but there's so many killers that's just better than him at what he's doing so that its just wrong. He got too many downsides to him.

I know what you mean but unfortunately bhvr does not care about us console players. Try playing freddy on ormound once or Doctor on any map. This whole patch orher than the graphic update is total ######### garbage and the game now runs worse than ever before.
This. BHVR's extremely thankful that you spent your money on their game but if you can play the game or not is not something they care about.
Feel free to buy some skins in the store. I am sure they'll put those extra money to good use by optimizing the game for console.

Not even a separate headsahke for killers?
Nah. They're supposed to be soulless mindless killers. Adding gestures to them would be like adding /dance or something to them. It'd not fit.
