The "Legendary" skins are only called "Legendary" because they have another color than the "Very Rare" skins. That, and that their price is legendarily high at $15. For all we know, it could might as well been a Halloween themed costume skin and it'd not have mattered one single bit.
-
Hopefully people won't spend their money on linked/legendary skins since it'd show BHVR that they need to step up if they want our money.
-
Hopefully it'll be something that's revisited for the Graphical Update but like, my hopes aren't that high it'll be fixed.
-
I doubt anything will happen. It'd not be like BHVR to do that. They're fishing, or testing the waters, for players willing to throw $15 at them. If enough people do, they'll add even more $15 skins that have nothing special about them besides costing $15.

can't blame the devs for console hardware being trash
They're in the middle of a graphics rework FYI
You're implying like the Graphics Rework will solve all current issues. It won't. Might make things worse.
-
Hate 'em. I see them as greedy cash grabs.
-
They're trying the waters once again, to see how many people are wasting $15 for a subpar skin. If enough people do it, they'll do more "legendary" skins.
-
We should keep talking about Colorblind mode until BHVR adds it. Its mind-blowing that they're not doing it. Its not going to "grant an unfair advantage" to people with full color vision. Feels like they're not implementing it only to spite those with color blindness.
-
Miniscule effort for maximum profit. Its just an overpriced skin with a different color on it.

It doesn’t matter. It’s BHVR. It won’t work as intended and it will be turned off secretly soon after.
I am not saying you're wrong but isn't that a bit depressing? I mean, their track record implementing new stuff sometimes don't work at all but like.. some tiny bit of faith in them?

I've not recieved 700k BP. Sad..

I doubt its live at the moment.

I'm confused. Will the MMR always be hidden?
@mottigedel said:
the MMR will never ever ever everrr be shown because dbd players always find a way to abuse a system.
This. But that also means that we'll never truly know if its working or not. A double-edged sword.
-
Clown and/or Deathslinger.
-
I remember when Urban Evasion had the same requirement of being healthy for it to work. It wasn't really used by anyone until that requirement was removed. I know I'd use Fixated a lot if the "doesn't work while injured" wasn't a thing.
-
Hippety Hoppety, I dodge that Lobbity.
And to justify this, I never ever burn moris unless there's a daily ritual for it.
-
It'll most definitely be a $15 linked skin. Be ready to open up that wallet for when the time comes.
-
Keys and Hatch needs to be changed at the same time Moris change. They're linked.
-
The in-game description of the add-on has been changed but not actually the add-on itself.. which is a totally lame move on BHVR's part.
-
Its probably better that way.
Players who win or dominate games will rise up fast in MMR while people who struggle will end up in a lower MMR where they can stabilize.
-
@Dacrenon said:
I agree, I've been thinking that for a while, too.
It would eliminate lobby dodging to avoid SWF & would also prevent SWF on PC being able to use whatever tech they're using to find out who the killer is before the match.
It wouldn't solve all player toxicity, but I think it would help a little.
It'd also let survivors go all out with their toxic builds and super unfair builds (like 4x sabo squads, 4x keys etc) since there's nothing the killer can do.
I am against this change.
-
They're doing it so you need to cough up $10 to buy a Rift pass. Be the bigger man and don't buy the Rift at all.

We're preparing some changes for auras as we speak. I can't give an ETA just yet, but we're hoping to have them in as soon as possible. The intent was never to significantly change the way auras appear.
Didn't you like, check how the changes would impact the auras before you pushed the update? Isn't that what the QA testers are supposed to do?
-
In case you lose them. I mean, they were only literally in front of your face trying to blind you. Easy to lose them.
-
The only thing I'd like to see with Legacy cosmetics is to actually restore the stuff of people who lost their Legacies, back in the day.
-
The thing people don't understand about LGBT+ people, is that they're not dressed up in rainbows and massive "I AM GAY!" signs pointing at them.
-
That's a supermassive YIKES.
-
If it pops up once, it'll no doubt pop up several times throughout.

Community: Nooooo! You can't just release a broken patch and call it a day. What about Moris, Keys, Gen-rushing, camping and tunneling? Why not fix those? And the new auras are bad.
BHVR: Haha, New skins go brrr
Skins -ARE- what's making them money, so it makes sense they'd prioritize that over anything else. You're not worth anything as a player unless you're constantly buying what they put out.

I disagree because some swf make the game extremely frustrating to play killer nowdays. So a nerf would be a good choice.
I do agree that playing with your buddies isn't a bad thing, but playing vs a swf with comms is a nightmare.
The carrot is more rewarding than getting the stick.
-
Here's my opinion.
There should NEVER be a punishment for wanting to play together with your friends. However, the game would probably improve a bit if there was a lobby indicator for SWFs and then give additional points for the Killer and any Solos in the lobby for playing with or against SWFs.
-
I can see some vague red spots but I'd never know Basement was there if you hadn't mentioned it.
-
So how long until them hackers figure out how to DC people intentionally again?
-
I don't bother aiming for the Rift since I don't play enough to warrant buying the premium track and I sure as hell ain't gonna be spending money to unlock tiers.
-
Needs a proper Fix.

The only legendary so far is Lisa and she's also the only linked skin that costs more at $15, all the rest are still $10
I don't recall the last time I bought an entire set of cosmetics for a character. I usually just like that one part. Being forced to buy all three parts just makes it a no-go for me. Its too expensive.
-
I've been calling them legendaries because all legendaries so far have been linked sets. The price sure is legendary, at least.

It really is game breaking for both sides....

There needs to be a lock for survivors as well at the 30 seconds mark, so that they cannot pull a last second switch.

The new update has impacted performance on console considerably. The FPS is so low and constant stutters :(.
Good thing they have a big graphical update coming soon. Bound to make things even worse.
Optimizations and bug fixes have never been a priority.

I still don't know how the MMR works on the survivor side because IF it is similar it will allow said bait switches.
But locking 30 seconds before start would only lead to switches at this point and not prevent them. I don't know how much you can compensate then with certain killer load outs.
All of the survivors will be treated the same, unlike Killers.
Oh, I am pretty sure it'd prevent the last-second switches by loads since it'd give a killer ample time to prepare for the change or dodge the lobby outright.

While I still firmly believe that FNAF is simply not scary enough to be in DBD, I do think that if a FNAF chapter happens, Springtrap is the best bet.
How would his power work? How would he attack? Hes never seen attacking anything in the games. Would his M1 be bitchslapping a survivor with his hand?
I agree with this. Springtrap is the best choice out of the entire cast.
I wasn't expecting so many people having signed.
-
In an upcoming update, there will be a matchmaking system for each individual killers. So its implemented so that you cannot fish for newbies with killer X and then switch to killer Y.
Now, I am extremely disappointed in BHVR for not locking survivors into their role as well. Maybe not right away, but at the 30-20 seconds left mark.. so that they cannot do last-second switches anymore.

im sorry to not know these abbreviations but what is BM?
Bad Mannerism. Players being mean to other players. In an example for OoO, its often used nowadays to run around in circles on the new Silent Hill level, since there's nothing you (as a killer) can do about it.

Object of obsession.
It allows the obsession to, when looking toward the killer, see the killers aura and show their aura to the killer.
Risky, but in decent hands or a 2-4 person group it gets much stronger.
I'd like to see OoO removed. Its generally always used for BM right now.

I don't recall the last time I faced a Hag but I am not gonna complain. Games against Hags tend to be the most boring games ever as all they do is place 5 traps around a hook and hard-camp.
-
The problem with DS is that people are using it offensively, which isn't what it was made for.
-
Unique, hand-crafted maps would be so much better than the RNG mess that we're getting today.
-
@ABannedCat said:
If Decisive Strike gets a hotfix within 5 days of it being bugged versus Doctor, then the horrendous auras should get a hotfix too.
The issue here is that the DS bug was an issue for survivors. In this scenario, Killers rely a lot more on aura reading so this is not an issue that'll be fixed anytime fast.
-
BHVR noticed that no-one complained about the Auras so they decided to improve them.
