Title.
I play mostly solo Q, and I'm in the EU. My team mates are worse than questionable, and I'm sure a lot of people who play EU will agree and know exactly what type of team mates I'm mentioning.
So, would it be bannable for someone to use a VPN? Anyone else has experience with this?
Using a vpn doesn't matter anymore. Before validation checks, a VPN was basically cheating at vaults and pallets.
@Rittihilatti said:
There is no question.
If you use third party software (for whatever reason you say) to gain advantage on your opponents, you should be banned. Period.
Unfortunately, BHVR does not have assets and human resources to figure this problem out...that is your only luck...my dear VPN-ing friend...
You can not expect anything positive in this, since they are unable to region lock the matchmaking. Im consistently getting matched with players i should have never ever matched with...
...so until that point they finish their study in the related topics, i will automatically dodge certain lobbies.
This can be done when the Q is instant.
Otherwise...i just dont play...
Although currently dysfunctional, validation checks basically render the vpn delays invalid; servers will award or deny the hit based on conditions/variables that led up to an event that required validation

i learned the hard way, you have to completely remove brane when playing spirit
-
Focus on damage control and tunneling. Always respect the pallet, it's just bad nursing if you get hit by a pallet. If you miss your blink, or didn't find anything during a blink, don't second blink and especially don't attack to try to keep moving. Your first blinks fatigue duration is considerably less than chain blink and blink attack fatigue.

Easy nerf suggestion: delineate solo and swf as different rankings.

Hi all, sorry am new here. Just wanted people's thoughts on the above. I'm a stinky surv main :P but do play the occasional killer match and Myers is actually one of my faves to play. The thing is I've been messed by perma tier 3 as survivor so many times and just don't see from survivor perspective how it is in any way balanced, especially when joined with the increase evil add on. Wouldn't it be fairer to have some way of trying to get rid of it? Maybe I should try playing it to find out (because I've never used it as an add-on), but it's like run corrupt and it's ggs. Not calling for any arguments, just curious to see if others think similarly. Thanks :)
I ran a perma3 Mikey an entire trial once. It was thrilling. Dropped every pallet, ended up depipping due to no objective pts, no team points. Max boldness tho.

someone once told me, God bless you have a great day
recently tho, I had face camped a dwight the entire trial, his team was desperate and they were not successful. It defaulted into a grab fest, and I ended up slugging the other 3. He gave me the ole GG and laughed at his friends efforts.

I read this entire thread, and I believe the unbreakable Kate boosted our reputation lol. What is your opinion on Kate’s facial rework?
hadn't really noticed any changes to Kate's facemeat tbh the superficial stuff isn't as much of an issue for me as other stuff, like the lack of original maps for new killers or the dysfunctional validation checks for grabs
really hoping they fix rpd map soon and put it on blast. I feel cheated out of my real life money...maybe like a broken promise or false advertising or something ya know?

What do you think of Kate mains?
some are exceptional and resilient, others are hook bait used to pull their swf away from the gens so I can camp more hooks

How many bills tried going for the unhook in your time of camping also what's your opinion on bill players?
I respect them myself as they tend to be selfless and helpful
Mad respect for bill, however, it was the sole singular unbreakable Kate that caught me off guard and nearly dethroned me. I learned that slugging tactics can stop a camp, so it's best to be judicious about when to stop camping.
Srs tho, that one Kate won't be soon forgotten

What about Undying/Ruin. Not only does that slow gens, it also forces the survivors to hunt totems, slowing them even further. I guess you would have survivors only doing gens but the survivors still have to come and see if the survivor can be rescued.
Personally, I think proxy-camping is stronger than face camping, because you let the survivor get rescued, then immediately down them again and get another hook stage and possibly a hit on another survivor.
My recent experiences guided me away from those hexes, as they are too conditional and don't support the pace of camping. Those perks are better for slug builds as a slugger doesn't really have time to kick gens or put anyone on a hook
Typically proxy camping is the front facing default and offensive state. I'd only facecamp to defend against hook bombing and other back end issues, like hatch hunters etc.

All those perks require you leaving the hooked person to activate them, seems a bit counter-intuitive? Where as, if you run NOED, you can get the stragglers at the end?
assuming you didn't hook next to a gen, which is not probable most of the duration of the trial whereas NOED assumes that all five gens are done which makes hooking less probable.

I bring a rainbow map with the stamp add-ons & a white ward & the killer brought franklin's demise. I'm the last survivor left & they know where hatch is, as they were standing on top of it, & instead of closing it they chase me & I go in a locker. I'm assuming they know I brought the white ward as instead of grabbing me out the locker they're waiting for me to jump out so they can hit me with franklin's. I don't wanna lose my map so I'm waiting for them to grab me. Does this count as holding the game hostage & if it is who holding it hostage?
killer is holding game hostage; refused to close the hatch which is the only way progress game state based on what you described

Are you serious? I've been meaning to try proxy-camping/tunneling to see how far I can rank up, because I think it's possible to get to rank 1 relatively easily using these tactics, despite what everyone says. The only reason I haven't yet is because it seems really boring.
Also, which perks do you suggest? I assume NOED is one.
I would not recommend noes at all, unless you prefer high stakes end game combat.
I'd recommend oppression, overcharge, eruption and a fourth perk of choice. I preferred using monitor and abuse as my fourth, as my weakness was TR/sneaking up on gens
Other 4th perk options may include dragon's grip, surge, or trail of torment. you may need something passive like lightborn/stridor/bamboozle to cover a weakness

The bhvr team has hit a milestone of impending disappointment and I suspect the game will start going downhill from this point onwards.

@daheadonu said:
Could you tell me your preferred camping build for bubba please?
several ways; insidious involves working harder at the start of a trial whereas monitor and abuse allows you to catch survivors off guard for an ez pz first hook. iron grasp (or mad grit for the pros) can help with basement conveyance and territorial imperative is a consideration too. franklin's can help with flashlights but light born is better. monstrous shrine was not very helpful in any of the builds I tried.
Add-ons are a smaller consideration. Dealers choice tbh.

I always wanted to do this as a study, see how far I could climb just camping, but I feel it would get dull.
Are you always going to play this style or do you plan to evolve your game play?
it was not dull. yes I found incentive to explore obsession perks with killers I previously thought wouldn't want those kinds of perks.
E.g. Nemesis perk on Nemesis killer was a joy, but I found myself not camping with that build

Doctor only a 1/5 he is pretty good incase they try a sneaky unhook and he can cancel unhooks from a distance especially if oyu are running rialgun doc
yea he's good at a lot of stuff, but the body blocks are real and you won't catch a survivor off the hook in between zip zaps. survivors can really punish a camping doctor. m1 skills are only recourse, which is why I rated him so low. obsession doctor has better tools that compliment judiciously used zip zaps

It is when you do it right. Did you know it's possible to camp TWO hooked survivors, 4 gens AND a totem all at once? It's true; I do it semi-frequently. If you camp skillfully, you can ensure someone stays on the hook while defending.
This kind of thing happened a couple times during my recent experience. I found it easier to manage one hook and force a slug. Swf would try to dc to get the hatch open but it didn't seem to work the way they wanted it to.

killer camp ratings:
trapper 3/5 baseline camper with no strengths or weakness
wraith 1/5 better at hunting than camping
hillbilly 1/5 can miss with chain at hook, surprisingly
nurse 2/5 can camp, but better at damage control and tunneling
shape 3/5 conditional camper, but excels greatly once conditions are met
hag 5/5 basement queen
doctor 1/5 best hunter imo, terrible camper
huntress 3/5 can power camp; struggles with resource management
cannibal 5/5 basement king
nightmare 0/5 freddy has singular playstyle with a specific player demographic
pig 3/5 can camp, but shouldn't
clown 4/5 surprisingly campy
spirit 1/5 not sure how camping works, so id guess like wraith
legion 2/5 can camp but not very well and never in basement
plaguee 4/5 plague can do anything
ghost face 4/5 very good camper and better at it than shape
demogorgon 3/5 a different baseline camper that has no significant strengths or weaknesses. atta boy.
oni 1/5 this is more like glamping amirite?
deathslinger 2/5 hard mode camper, really amps up the survivor saline
executioner 4/5 easy mode camper with plenty of tools in the kit
nemesis 4/5 this is wat i used to ascend to rank 1
survivor 6/5 required for camping, no killer could camp without one

I did abit of a test with Bubba right before the Ruin change in which I'd openly facecamp a survivor with a charged chainsaw directly infront of them. I remember one game in particular where the first survivor DID have kindred, but I'd still see all 3 teammates circling nearby waiting for an opening that obviously was never going to happen. I even gave them a little head nod acknowledging that I see them. Ended up with a 4k with either 1 or no gens done...cant remember.
I DO remember though that 1 survivor who was hooked first and facecamped...was real chill in the endgame chat, lol.
the survivors that hang out are the best. typically green rank or rank 1, never purple or ranks 4, 3, or 2 in my recent experiences
