They don't have skill checks because totems are cleansed with an incantation and not physically. What they should add is the survivors saying said incantation.

Things like that should absolutely be reportable. It's not holding the game hostage, but it is griefing. Who cares if that Dwight t-bagged? That doesn't stop the killer from playing the game, lol. 😆

Idk just seems silly to me

  • If that's really reportable, then this game is broken.

I disagree that it's such a reportable offense by itself. We have no idea how many times that dweet may have tea bagged that hag, nor do we know how much time he spent in a locker before ending up in that corner.

Since it's such a problem for survivors to stand still (birds) but not killers, why hasn't BHVR implemented the killers version of that protocol? If body blocking is such an issue, why allow it at all, BHVR? Why is insidious camping ok, but this kind of thing is not? How do we know the hag isn't extremely wary of Decisive Strike?

Comparatively, this is no different than camping a hook, which is already a pretty sensitive subject for some.

Either condone camping or don't, but reading Peanits express that this kind of action is reportable gives me the impression that BHVR isn't as consistent with their product as they say they want to be.

I'm a survivor main, but that survivor is holding the game hostage and won't allow it to complete. The only way out is a DC.

In this post other teammates can finish gens, open gates, escape. The trapped survivor dies to egc, and is not forced to dc. No one if forced to DC. It's scummy, but if hag wants to secure here one kill, without making the game hostage, this is different

This is probably the best post here. Aren't the survivors reportable for a hostage game?

I demand consistency, BHVR. Not balance, not fairness. Only consistency, and this is not consistent.

Come on! i've been using that cosmetic piece for God knows how long....it's my favorite.

they simply washed her face and just kept the hair style, why did you do that?

it's not cool to completely change cosmetics like this when ppl worked hard to get it (during event) or actually spend real money on it.

    please bring it back....😭

    😭

This is a pretty serious concern. Hope whoever pushes these kinds of changes loses their job. This kind of thing should never happen.

  • i can complain harder

keys will never change, because the hatch's spawn is proportionate to amount of objective completed over the number of players still left alive. it's completely fair, let's not forget how often survivors used to DC before the new system was implemented. either way, survivors get a chance to prematurely escape, or they will dc. i guess what a survivor does is up to you, killers.

mori will only get easier for killers to activate, and even if red/green was removed, im guessing thered be bitching about how broken yellow moris would be a few weeks later. moris are purposefully designed to remove a player prematurely for making the mistake of being hooked (or being caught alone at the end). yes it is a mistake. no u dont get to explain what fair is. learn to drop the pallets, because ur gonna get mori'd anyways.

bloodpoints may change, but a survivors earnings and a killers earnings will never be comparable because the killer is asymmetrically balanced to 4 players. so yes, survivors do 4x the grind, 4x the work, because survivors are herd-life, and the herd is always doing something productive for the group (whether swf or not)....o wait. thats a bad perspective...maybe its that killers earn 4x the points and survivors are earning par for the course.

crafting system won't happen because survivor addons are now being consumed at a rate where materials may not be as readily available like they were before. i believe theres a chunk of players that ignore their offering slot, despite having 100s of browns/yellows or even surplus of greens. if they werent being used before, boiling them down into a single iridescent item/addon/offering wouldnt be worth the time now (especially with the new rate of use)

if these changes had been implemented last year, that would have been greatly received. at this time, the state of the game is pretty healthy, the ranking system does work (devs: +/-6 ranks), they gave the killers a gun, and i dont have any more brown flashlight batteries.

    dbd lyf is pretty good

  • All the hex perks are fun

Devour Hope, Ruin, Retribution, Haunted Grounds

Surveillance would fit better, but those 4 hexes together create really funny situations where cleansing becomes very dangerous or they give up on bones altogether

  • Play with your food and Furtive chase work well together on her. 5% move speed can help end the loop around shack.

To add more speed, I like to mix up brutal strength, fired up, and bamboozle.

With your leather loop and handle already, you now have a build that makes her a little bit faster in every way. Gloves are also fun with iron maiden, if that still stacks

You do realise that all the characters you referenced are licensed characters. BHVR can't just say, "okay this skin is ugly ima change it myself". Much more complicated than that

    Doesn't make me wrong.

  • Complaining about countless clothes options, and my boy bill got an ugly sweater. Quenten is uglier than Claudette. Cannibal and Freddy don't have anything. You complain alot about a very trivial idea, and let's not forget that Claudette comes with a hat. Not every character gets a free hat (poor hatless billies) and not every character gets to look like a Starbucks worker like clod does in her apron

Stridor doesn't negate Iron Will so there is no reason to run it.. if they aren't using IW you can hear them, if they are running IW you won't hear them with or without Stridor. Pointless perk.

    Regular breathing is up 25%

Jason only goes after people who have intruded on Crystal lake. Jason would fight the entity at every turn. So unless they bring Crystal lake into the game it would be hard. Not to mention you would have to severly Nerf the ######### out of him for this game. The only killer in this game that could honsetly go toe to toe with him is Freddy.

What was Jason VIII? He was not even near Crystal lake for that one.

  • My suspicion is that the demogorgon kit was originally pitched for "Jason"

    -can bash thru pallets

-teleports (maybe Freddy's new teleport was planned for a Jason)

    -115% movespeed

Slap on a machete, and it's basically Jason.

Make Jason more dangerous, if he comes to dbd.

Let him destroy windows. Nothing else says Jasons gonna get you, like that. Jason should have end game power like no other before him.

  • @GhostofYharnam said:

I love Jason but Lore wise it would be hard to add him.

How? He can detect Steve, Nancy, Laurie and Legion inside the entitiy, all of which are basically teenagers, and teenagers are Jason's natural and basic prey.

  • o maybe theyre finally adding a l4d killer soon

  • looks more like his l4d model tbh, altho i prefer the current model

i get to try again with no xxxtra ban

this was a pleasant reception after that nasty technical nonsense, BHVR i am extremely pleased to not see me temp banned, thanks

well this sux. it happened again, so ill give the ole steam verifier a run and hope it figures itself out. i almost spent money on the harpoon gun killer, too.

ah yes, no one would have ever thought that lockout timers in an extremely buggy game would even be close to a bad idea...right?

P.S. i have experienced this too, luckily not in the middle of the match though.

will verifying the integrity of game data help at all?

  • @DWolfAlpha said:

Honestly, I've had this thought before too. Maybe not amazing abilities that make certain perks not worth it, but something like Claudette heals 1% faster, Meg sprints 1% faster, or Kate progresses her wiggle timer 1% faster. Nothing drastic, but something to make each survivor more than just a skin.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/115719/survivors-have-nothing-but-perks

Bill didn't highjack unassigned perks. They were always his, but he was only on PC, so they made his perks available for everyone on console. When he came to console, his perks were reassigned to him.

Passives would be really neat, but it would likely break the game and make it very difficult to balance.

  • The survivor class enjoys basic and intermediate mobility options, coupled with perks that otherwise augment certain play styles.

A fun option to broaden the mindset of survivor play is a limited, adept-only play mode. A mode that keeps unique perk set with their respective survivor. It would be a complimenting contrast to KYF, and would flesh out more comprehension behind the less used and less popular perks, the way they were meant to be played with their original survivor set.

  • If you simply don't agree, say that instead of "I don't get it"

It's pretty easily got, given they explained themselves in stream, pretty effectively.

  • My guess is the true solution for DCs is too complex; the system should only disconnect based on specific behaviors and events. This is the challenge, to implement effectively, but due to conditions and circumstances described in other replies, it's not even close. It's BHVRs product, they'll do what they want with it. Some of the consequences may include estranging some of the player base, but if sales are indicating more and more new players, then BHVR has plenty of room to experiment.

  • It was Bill before Jane's fat ass.

  • Get used to your own prestige.

  • @Perelie said:

It's completely out of hand, they're not warranted and no one's asking for them, so what's going on? People have been begging for killer buffs for years and you guys just ignore everyone.us.

Plenty of people keep asking for everything. BHVR is influenced by the loudest minority of players. It's not sustainable. Q1 2020 won't bring players in, either. The problem is complex, with various factors and circumstances caused by community outcry and notable bitching about 1v1 balance (in a 1v4 game). The solution is simple, BHVR takes control of their product and balance/Nerf all the base kits together, before adjusting any perks.

  • I played on Xbox a few weeks ago. Didn't seem bad to me at all, frame rate was solid on my buddy's curved display. Not sure I see your point, kitten. The optimizations are always helpful, but the game works out of the box. You make it sound like an incomplete product, which in my experience did not appear to be so.

Crossplay PC vs Console will cause Console players to stop playing. PC has a huge advantage, so Console playsets will feel frustrated cause they'll just feel bullied by PC players. It should NEVER happen

What do you have to evidence, or infer, for such a statement like that? Where in video gaming history has there been strong, meaningful examples of such an event? I also think that it is outlandish to assume that console players don't have any advantages on a controller.

Not only do consoles predominantly play survivor, but they utilize 360 degrees of movement control in a 3rd person setting, which is demonstrably superior than a standard keyboard WASD setup in the same setting (in respect to Survivor gameplay.) Add the industry-driven social connectivity that consoles boast over PC players, and you have a very strong, very toxic, very adequate SWF player base that plays hard and fast.

Yes PC players can SWF, too. But my experiences taught me that Killer queues are stupidly longer than survivor these days on PC. It's why I play survivor any more. In recent experiences, I found out Survivor queues are stupidly long on consoles. It might sound like math, but it adds up. PC vs Console is a naturally adaptive process in the human endeavor to advance gaming and their social technologies.

I refuse your initial response, Mr/s Kitten. I ask you now for a new response, one that is a comprehensive argument that confronts why PC vs Console is anything but intuitive.
