Translation: The upcoming pallet changes will allow any new killer to bloodlust any survivor no matter where they are allowing even new killers to win against the most experienced survivors in the world. Why on earth would anybody want to play survivor if skill doesn't get rewarded?
I've been a killer main when pallet vaccuums and multiple sprint bursts during a chase were a thing. Even back then I won most games as Huntress without ruin or noed till I hit purple ranks. It's just sad where this game is going. Even the worst killer is supposed to win against experienced survivors "bEcAuSe It'S tHe PoWeR rOlE!!!".
Right now it feels like I can't lose even if I wait for a minute at the beginning of a match. Haven't lost a single game in weeks. But sure, let's make it so any killer can 4k at all times and say "it now takes more skill to win as survivor" when in reality survivors are getting robbed of any opportunity to win a chase.
You know what is real boring to play, round the garbage pile, round the garbage pile, round the garbage pile, PALLET, move to next garbage pile , repeat.
The Killer want's to do other things then run around piles, just like the survivors want to do other things then gens.
The game is becoming STALE as crap. Pallets need to change, because its just NOT FUN playing Killer anymore. And when the fun goes so does the Killer population.

It is comments like yours that lead to the observation that our community is absolute garbage. Thanks for not letting us down on that.

Sorry, but people who asked for other objectives are mainly killers
Thats not entirely correct my friend, Survivors use the "we only have gens to do, what else are we supposed to do" to defend their gen rushing.
The answer is get the totems and deny any NOED.

Reveal by hooked survivor makes sense, it prevents camping. By downed survivor, not so much.
Hooked survivors have a giant metal hook through their chest, "Someone get me outta here" is all they are thinking about. If anything seeing your friend on a hook, should be a further diversion for a stealthy Killer to use to get closer to other targets.
I think a buff to Killer stealth should be implemented when around a hooked survivor.

Nobody is asking for a nerf to noed. Just a condition. It should be earned, not a free win for killers who sucked all game.
To me, playing all game with only 3 perks vs a full team, IS EARNING NOED. They handicapped themselves during the majority of the game, in HOPES of having a good powerful perk in the end.
Its not a free win, its a gamble, Survivors are the ones who decide if NOED actually happens or not. If you get NOED'd down the survivors are to blame, stop gen rushing and do the OTHER OBJECTIVE you ask for all the time.

Also, we absolutely need a higher sensitivity on console. I can't spin my camera as fast as I'd like, mid-chase. Running into objects and stuff because cam movement is too slow.
Can't you set controller sensitivity in the console options?

New Killer Offering: Laxative.
Causes explosive diarrhoea. Survivors within range are blinded, and horrified by the brown stain killer leaves trailed around the map.
Happy?!?!?!
Yes, actually that sounds awesome :)
-
Maybe, Tinkerer's , that'll make the Killer silent, if any gen is >80%.
-
I might be wrong here but I think a misplaced firework/cracker also blinds Survivors?
But yeah having more then one "Special" thing for the event might be nice.
-
Again why can't people just leave their help, why do you need to insult along with it?
You could have just said.
"The best way to counter the Cracker/Fireworks is to just look up when you hear the noise."
That's helpful and appreciated.
"These baby killers..." is just an unneeded slap in the face. Which turns your post from something people might say thanks for to something that gets a response like this one.
So thank you for your helpful info, and the rest you can ....

How to counter Ghostface:
Let's see, he is a stealthy killer that can expose you for the onehit.
How to counter it?
Spine Chill is almost the perfect Perk against Ghostface. You know, when he is looking at you and is in general helpful against all killers, so no big loss if you not face a Ghostface.
An other perk that could work good against Ghostface is the good old Dead Hard it lets you bait that one exposed hit and by a miss, Ghostface's stealth gets canceled.
One other option is to learn where to look at to deny Ghostface his powers by training where exactly to aim your camera to get him out of his shroud (shouldn't be a problem with so many Ghostfaces to train with.
Without his powers Ghostface is just a m1 killer and a half decent survivor should have no big trouble against a regular m1 killer who cannot use his powers.
So stop crying on the forum, analyze the killer for yourself, figure out how he works and what counters him (god forbids maybe playing him once yourself to see what are his strength and weaknesses) and enjoy to get better at the game instead of crying that 2 days after new content gets released the community for once like to test it and have fun with it...
You know, your post was super helpful, explaining exactly how to play against GF.
Right up to the point where you figured it was your job to ######### him out for crying. You turned a great post into one where you sounded like a complete elitist a-hole.
Congrats
So thanks for the helpful info and you can choke on the rest.

Not that I know of, if you only used three GF perks and 4k'd, then you are owed the chievo

I've gotta' clarify some things here because there seems to be a lot of confuison.
The range to break him out of stealth is unchanged. The detection area refers to the area on your screen that the killer needs to be in to start revealing him. That will be made about 8% larger. This does not make him easier or harder to reveal, it's just a little QOL change for those that aren't perfectly accurate (particularly helpful for those playing on a controller who are having a hard time keeping their camera right on him during a chase).
The pallet stun is something we got a lot of feedback for. A survivor is meant to be reveal you once they've seen you. If they threw a pallet down on you, they've definitely seen you. (That, or they're just running around the map throwing pallets down for fun and just won the lottery.)
Most of his add-ons are not being changed. His stalk rate add-ons are being decreased due to how powerful they were. It was possible to reduce the stalk time to under 1 second while leaning. The killer instinct add-ons are being reduced to compensate for his base killer instinct duration being increased. The rest of the add-ons remain unchanged.
I respectfully disagree with a couple points you made here.
First of all nerfing the PC game because a controller is harder to use is not a PC problem and we shouldn't be punished for it. I know you want ot keep the code bases as close to the same but once you start stunting your PC product because of Console limitations you hurt the people that made consoles even viable.
Second, I've seen games where people just run through the game dropping pallets, rank 20s drop pallets when they hear a heartbeat. Just because the pallet was dropped doesn't mean the Survivor saw anything. The excuse they must have seen you to drop a pallet is false.

Uhm, what? Before the DS nerf, DS was one of the most used perks right behind SC, this was proven by the devs statistics.
Regardless, gameplay can not be inherently toxic unless you are exploiting or breaking the game.
Handicapping your gameplay with mental shackles like this is what drives this game into the ground imo. People should go crazy with all of their most powerful stuff as much as possible. This could force the devs to actually realize the state of their game.
Besides, I don't find things like Prayer Beads or certain Survivor perks as "broken." The only thing broken in this game is SWF, because the game does not have a reasonable way for the Killer to account for it, and the lack of information is supposed to be part of the balance.
I don't care what other players think. I'm here for my fun, not yours. I'm not going to handicap my gameplay and potentially ruin my fun just because someone else doesn't like the stuff I use.
This would be like refusing to play in a Smash tournament just because they allow Bayonetta to be played. You refusing to use your most powerful gear doesn't mean that the Killer is toxic for using his, it means you are handicapping your own gameplay for fear of ruining someone else's fun, and in turn, have your own fun ruined.
Wow man,
You are dead set in your ways. I'm not even sure you understand my points.
- Before the DS nerf there were so many players that played both sides that never used DS, because as a Killer they hated it so much. They knew it was a broken ass perk, and refused to expose other Killers to it.
Please notice I said So many players .. not all, I also qualified this with people who play both sides.
Its your typical outlook on life that ruins things. Its SOMEONE elses job to police MY behaviour. If I can do it well , f'it I'll do it until they take it away.
- I don't care what other players think. I'm here for my fun, not yours. I'm not going to handicap my gameplay and potentially ruin my fun just because someone else doesn't like the stuff I use.
This is exactly your right, but when you people play this way it removes their right to complain about other people using everything they have at their disposal to have their fun at the expense of yours. But really isn't there a mid ground where both sides have fun.
You should look up Moral Highground, you can play less toxic, and you may lose but you still win in your own eyes because you didn't use toxic move alpha.
Its all good man, you have your way of having fun, and hope that SOMEONE else will make the game better for you. Where as other play the way they want the game to be because THEY are making the change they want to see. And the second way is more off to see results then waiting around for someone else to make the changes.
You mentioned this...
- The only thing broken in this game is SWF, because the game does not have a reasonable way for the Killer to account for it, and the lack of information is supposed to be part of the balance.
Here is a perfect example where SWF COULD play together and have fun by not sharing info, just laughing at their friends getting chainsawed right in front of them, and the like. Many SWF play that way they make the effort to NOT share game breaking info because it ruins the game on a base level. They understand it and just don't do it. But many people take your way of playing SWF, and use it to report all Killer actions, all things right down to "wait a second on that gen until he hits me so I can use Adrenaline". And it is the second way... your way that is the problem, isn't it?

Can you read the other replies, pl0x? I already explained that KNOWING where the survivors are can influence camping by far. You can decide if it's worth leaving the boi on the hook, seeing 2 to 3 survivors working on a gen away from you or you can decide to do a fast patrol to catch the rescuers, because you just saw 0-1 guy working towards objectives.
Use your head while discussing about perks and game mechanics, don't read just the description, while making assumptions.
First of all my comment was in response to this portion of your post.
"Good luck getting as much with survivors each game, considering how trash is WGLF, lmao."
In which it sounded like you were directly comparing BBQ to WGLF and that BBQ was by far BETTER then WGLF. My comment was to remind you that BBQ has benefit for both sides of gameplay, where as WGLF only is a plus for Survivors
But now lets get into the point where you thought it was your job to scold me for not reading the entire thread.
First of all that is a ridiculous idea, threads can go for pages and pages, and you think I should read the entire thing to see if you changed your mind or defended your point to someone else.
If you have already defended yourself against a similar comment, then ignore any other post you see, because anyone who is reading the entire thread will already have seen your response and will note it when they get to my comment.
Or if you feel you need to respond a second time just say "I already responded to this" at which point they person will investigate your responses, or just let it drop.
If you get so easily offended by people making assumptions then make sure to fully explain your point when writing, leave no room for people making incorrect conclusions.
And I did use my head in my response to the comment , I stated exactly how I felt and explained how BBQ also helps the survivor.
That could be why you got so bent.

You seem to forget Survivors are just as capable, in fact moreso, to do toxic gameplay than Killers are.
At this point, I've accepted stuff isn't toxic. I'm not blaming the players. I'm blaming the game. It isn't the fault of the player for using everything to their advantage to win the game, as long as it is within the confines of the rules.
The problem is, the game ends up being super frustrating for both sides because of this. There isn't anything wrong with using what the game gives you.
There IS something wrong when those things are no fun to deal with. This goes for both sides.
My entire post was that toxic survivor behavior breeds Killer toxic behavior. And vise versa.
But my point was also this, just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. If you want a less frustrating game, play the game they way you would want it to be played against you.
Before the DS nerf there were so many players that played both sides that never used DS, because as a Killer they hated it so much. They knew it was a broken ass perk, and refused to expose other Killers to it.
In the end YOU are responsible for YOUR actions. If you believe strongly that something is not good for the game, you just won't do it even though you could.
-
This is a question that has sat in my mind for a while now. Why does the killer easilly get so many more points then each survivor?
The Killer spends the entire game, doing actions to earn BP's. They have 4 targets to chase and score off of. Survivors have their own actions, they can literally spend the entire game hiding and doing gens, never seeing the Killer once.
If you want to see a game where the survivors get more points then the Killer, do one where everyone is stealthy. If the Killer has nothing to interact with then they earn no points.
The problem is the game has decided that in order for Survivors to get more points they need to interact with the Killer. Multiply that by 4 survivors all wanting to up their points means the Killer has 4 times the interactions as a solo survivor gets.
This usually means that if the Killer plays "fair" and tries to 3 hook a lot and give good chases, they get loads of points.
-
The killer offering never needs to be shown, they know what they offered, no need to remind them.
Survivor offerings should be shown, so that the team knows whats in play.
Group Offerings should always be shown regardless of Survivor or Killer, like event offerings.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
I don't get it. Those are all things that are a part of the game.
You know what's ruining the event? The consistent DC bug that is currently plaguing both sides when in the middle of a match. Makes it for an unfun time not to mention the loss of offerings that are brought for said event.
I'll bust it down for you.
You'll always find the sweaty try hard killers out there. You know the ones where using all those things is necessary in order to survive.
They are not the majority of the population.
When you use all those things to punish a non sweaty Killer, you are teaching that player that they need to sweaty up their game to compete.
The OP was saying that when you face all that crap its hard to stay a "Survivor Rules" fair Killer, and actually enjoy the game.
There are many things in life that are "LEGAL", like smoking, sure you can smoke as much as you like, but whether you notice or not you are impacting your health in a negative way.
Same goes for this game, sure you can run as many toxic perk combo and items you like but you are hurting the general well being of the game. If you want less sweaty try hard Killers then do your part to make the game less intense for your Killers. And they in turn will be able to ease up on the toxic Killer actions.

Perfect matches don't count towards average. Killers can make those figures even without 3k or 4k, but simply putting pressure and winning chases, using their power. Survivors have to flip a coin. Oh, look, a ######### team mate plus a camping killer? Too bad, your 100% offering's gonna multiply that high roll 5-6k.
Another note: on surv I have to sacrifice a perk slot because WGLF is pure #########. BBQ on the other hand is one of the strongest perk for killer.
You do know that BBQ being as good as it is also is a PLUS for Survivors, at its base intent its an ANTI-CAMP perk, it gives the Killer somewhere else to go then sit around and camp your butt. Be thankful that perk works as well as it does, and stop complaining the Killer perk is better then the survivor equivalent. Because in the end that perk helps you out too.
-
Would we really miss end game chat?
The good natured people who give congrats, really would go on being positive, they would just shrug it off. Where as the jerks who feel the need to flame everything would be able to go on fuming keeping the negativity to themselves.
Its a win win. But for some reason people defend having that end game chat like I asked them to kill their dog or something. And always bringing up that you can just shut it off.
I wish they would just add the end chat as a setting I can set to off. Having to close the chat manually every time I play is a hassle. The setting would help, of course I usually get resistance from the forums for even asking for that.

Good luck at any job ever if you think you can just "push back" a deadline like it's nothing.

so perks that give you a second chance for survivors shouldn’t? But noed is fine? Lol got it , there’s perks on both ends that are require no skill but to just single out the survivor ones is kinda dumb not to mention all you have to do to not get ds is to not tunnel while I agree that mom should of been changed it still doesn’t change the fact that killers have the type of low skill high reward perks not to mention all the killers that can insta down
NOED isn't a second chance perk. The Killer plays with 3 Perks all game long in hopes of having a good perk in the end game. Thats not a second chance, that is an investment, that can be denied by survivors who do other things then tunnel gens.
None ever understands that the Killer plays short handed and hopes for a good perk in the end, all they ever see is when the NOED pays off. Well again thats your fault for letting NOED happen.

But as they make Killer not for everyone, they risk making it not for anyone as well. And if they keep making High Ranks a severely not fun experience for Killers, Who is going to play it, and keep the game going?

I understand you are frustrated but let's be real here..
If you were in a group with survivors that die day on day on day every year.
Wouldn't you want to cooperate? Talk to the rest of the team? And try to survive the trial that you were picked to do?
SWF exists because we want to play with our friends, But if the entity was real and picked you to be in the next Trial IRL... I bet you 100% you would try to make friends with the other survivors and survive with them face to face (Like the SWF feature in Game).
And yes I'm basing this off of reality.
We all want to survive. So don't get mad at SWF. Don't get mad at anything. Not every one likes playing Solo.
And everyone wants to survive. It's our instinct.
just blame our Instincts of becoming friends and wanting to survive.
I disagree with you, if you wanted to base this game off of REAL LIFE, you sure as heck wouldn't put yourself in harms way to save a stranger. There would be way more selfish play, because in the end my life is more important to me then yours.
"I don't have to out run the Killer, I just have to out run you."

So what about Leader now, makes it worth a perk slot? I fail to see its benefit

SWF doesn't need nerfed. This is one of those "be careful what you wish for" kind of things. Nerf or remove SWF and the number of players willing to be survivors will plummet. Less survivors means even longer (possibly infinite) wait times. My friend , I'm not joking, there are a ton of people on these forums that say if SWF is removed, they would just stop playing. So anything that would make SWF not viable, like the Killers being able to choose a ranked version where there would be no SWF would mean NO SWF.
And instead of those survivors switching over to Killer, they all say they'd just stop playing.
So if you really think that enough survivors would switch sides to allow SWF to not feel the lack of regular Killers you are fooling yourself.
And you can bet after those survivors that switch to Killer and play a few SWF matches, they will no doubt have one too many run ins with SWF shenanigans, and they will stop playing that mode as well.
You underestimate how unfun playing a SWF group is for most Killers.
Now how many of those saying they'd quit are the majority of the community? Most of the community doesn't really care about a strike, about quitting or about swf. Most of the people will play just fine and swf isn't going anywhere so the what if's are pointless.
If we want to get into the whole what ifs then what if all the killer mains did the following.
What if:
They stopped complaining everyday about the same things many of which aren't going to change.
They stopped dodging lobbies because it's swf or they think it's swf.
They stopped dodging lobbies because they don't like what the survivors bring.
They stopped dodging because of the survivors chosen.
They stopped dodging because they don't want to pick the best killer and or perks for what's shown to them.
They stopped insulting people that disagree with them and say survivor main spotted.
7.They stopped calling survivors no skill or brain dead or other insults like that directly or towards their perks.
- They stopped all of the above and everything I didn't list, now wouldn't that be great?
I could post the same type of list about some of the survivors on here who post the same thing but for some it's understandable. For brand new players killers are op because they've not yet learned how to play the game or best ways to break los and evade.
For the newer players it's understandable that they'd post that type of stuff but for you experienced killers it's sad. You know how to play the game or should anyways and know all the strengths and weaknesses of every character on both sides.
The fact is swf isn't going anywhere and it's been here for quite some time so constantly complaining about it and making threats and or insinuations about a strike is both pointless and childish. If and when they make a separate queue for solo and swf it's killer that'll be waiting a long time for a solo queue only lobby to fill.
If 70% of the population is swf then that only leaves 30% to be split up among the different platforms killers. That means your lobby times are going to be atrocious while the swf ones will be super fast for killers that will go for those.
Now which do you think is going to get chosen at that point, the fast lobbies or the 15-mins to 1 hour lobbies? Besides once they do if they do make a separate queue the swf lobbies will probably give killers better bp as a reward.
So I read your entire post and all I got out of it is, Killers need to stop wanting to have fun games and just take the survivor beat down that they are trying to save themselves from.
Killers should be happy playing the same killer and build every game. While Survivors get to pick and choose their entire loadout.
Basically you want Killers to just be bots, that survivors get to beat up on, and they should play it non stop for 4 hours a night and not get salty.
"Why"? you say because up to 4 players have the right to play together and have fun. But who cares about the Killers fun. Well Killer need to have fun as well, that is why dodging exists. Killers they have learned the hard way what leads to an unfun match. "Tried playing 4 Claudettes with flashlights on Wraith... didn't go so hot. So I'd like to play Wraith, I'm forced to dodge 4 Claudettes with flashlights or the game will be a gong show."
Don't blame Killer for LEARNING. Many people have limited time to play any game, and they shouldn't be forced to take games where they know with most certainty that its just going to be aggravating.
Just like you said if Killers didn't dodge items, well how about Survivors don't bring any in? Survivor is easy enough that items, and even perks are optional. Why do SWF survivor groups feel the need to stack the deck in their favor even more then the comms? At some point is just 4 people wanting to ROFL stomp another player.
If every Killer took your STOP DODGING advice, there would be no Killers , they would all just quit because game after game of UNFUN game play just leads to people leaving.
I know , I know, good riddance to those scrub Killers, who needs them anyways. But that is a very ignorant way of looking at it.
And I seriously doubt the SWF survivor population would split itself up to take over the Killer role. You yourself have just said that the SWF would refuse to break up and play solo (thus increasing Killer que times) so why in the heck would they split up to play Killer?
I'd love to see a segregation of the SWF for one reason only. To see which way the community would go.
You have your hypothesis, and I have mine.

You're joking right, I already play killer if survivor lobby times are long and same for killer. There's quite a few posts here from others who've said the exact same thing. I actually enjoy the killer dailies and hate the survivor dailies since some are just plain bad.
Perhaps if you availed yourself to some of the posts including those from before region lock was removed. Then you'd see people saying they switch when 1 sides queues are too long.

Very Interesting, I'd love to see the impact this software is going to have. I've hypothesized on this exact situation. Love to see what becomes of it.> @powerbats said:
Few things to not copy every post.
While those games are symmetrical both teams are not evenly managed since draft or random games you can get unbalanced teams. So when that happens people dodge the lobbies all the time because they don't like the teams. If someone gets their champ picked or banned they'll dodge the lobby as well. Whether it's ranked or unranked this happens.
If PS4 is so toxic then that's something that needs to be handled via either Sony (fat chance unless you wave money in front of them) or BHVR. I do agree there needs to be a way to get Sony and Xbox to change how they run things with the blocking.
Dedicated servers would help big time at least for pc and you could start implementing lobby dodging penalties. No killers won't stop playing here and if they do survivors will swap over for faster queues. I do wonder if dedicated servers would allow console users to bypass Sony and Xbox services beyond login.
That way they wouldn't be able to be blocked from playing against people and wouldn't know until post game lobby. I mean they could still enable chat blocking to popup post game lobby as well as profile blocking for comments.
4.I'll add to this later when my brain gets less foggy from being dehydrated and I'll change this one and add others.

Brady said:What about what they did to Smite?
Create a seperate casual and ranked modes, and only allow SWF in casual or vice versa. In smite, you can no longer play a ranked game unless you are Solo. I've seen dramatic improvements since then.
Maybe not the best solution though. Ideas, ideas.
My only problem with bringing Survivors to SWF level and then balancing around that.. may make being a solo player in this game a highly unappealing side to play.
To those who complain about balance, do you think the game is currently balanced when there's 4 solo players? Specifically want Killer mains opinions but any are welcomed. From my survivor perspective, whenever there's no SWF, the game seems to run at a give or take type scenario.
I think the game is pretty balanced against 4 solo players, tbh. I'm not a rank 1 killer, though.
That said, there really isnt an option to remove SWF, since you can't stop voice comms and it would just lead to the bad old days of survivors lobby dodging until they are matched with thier friends.
Making SWF in an unranked mode only would not matter much, since there is no reason to care about rank once you get the initial achievement. It would end up being a ridiculous wait time for killers, as the majority would be in that queue and majority of survivors would be in the unranked queue.
Do not forget the ridiculous wait times for the SWF groups because only a few Killers would even bother to play that side of things. So my prediction would be the SWF would break up to get to play at all, and some Killers might play the SWF if they found games hard to populate.
You can bet your butt that any solution that gives Killers an actual choice, would be a serious blow to the SWF side of things.

Orrr..maybe you can get better at being a killer and catch them before they pallet loop your butt?
With pallets every ten feet, how is that supposed to be accomplished?

Sorry, but it’s true. Killers who camp, which now seems to be all of them, are ruining this game. When it became free on ps4, every killer camps and it’s just not worth it to play anymore. I haven’t played one match this week where the killers didn’t go more than a few steps away from the hook. I said this in another post and I’ll say it here again, if you don’t stop camping people will stop playing as survivors. No survivors, no matches. Less people playing the game means the developers have no reason to continue to support it. I know I’m gonna get the same comments as other posts,” just don’t get caught” or “camping is part of the game”. I’m sure these are people who never play as a survivor. I’m not sure what the solution is but maybe create a game mode where a lobby is 5 people and the killer is chosen at random, and random perks.Did you go do gens? Because that is the solution to your problem.

If I was in this situation as Killer , I'd just go disconnect your connection to my machine and be done with it.
Those Russian players used to do it to bust up SWF games.
