Oh yea? What if the killer doesn't wanna play the match anymore should he just AFK in a corner and deny survivor a pip and points? Nah didn't think so. Suicide on hook should have consequences as well it's literally an exploit for DC.

    Your reasoning faulty.

AFKing in the corner is actually something the devs have always punished. This is how the bots problem was squashed. But there is nothing stopping the Killer from just running around in the map.

No where does it say the Killer must swing his weapon.

No doubt you have been reading my responses thus far so I'll not repeat it here, but just point you to my other responses for more on this topic.

Just checked the report section. "Purposefully losing the game" is a reportable offense under "Unsportsmanlike conduct."

    SO...........

Talk about your impossible to punish rules. Everyone at some point in this game has broken that rule. A killer that gives a survivor the hatch or walks them to the edge of the exit. Anyone who hasn't struggled on the hook to give another survivor a chance at the hatch. People who are just plain tired of trying to finish one gen of a three gen situation.

People WILL NOT play a round where they are not having any fun. They will always bow out via the hook.

Would you face it, BHVR IS NOT GOING TO PUNISH hook suicide. No matter how much you feel its warranted.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/862063#Comment_862063

"Can" in this case means "is a punishable offense."

That's not what I said. Who knows what BHVR will ultimately find punishable. But right now there exists a mechanic where if I no longer wish to play the trial. I can without breaking any game mechanics choose to leave early without wasting any more time in a match I deem unfun.

CURRENTLY there is no punishment for using that route out. If they change that then yeah it can be punished.

My point is that BHVR in my opinion will never chase that kind of behaviour. The are punishing Dc's and I do not see it going any further.

You obviously feel that another human should be forced to continue to play to make YOU happy.

And they better play hard too, no just going with the flow.

I've played where people die quickly and I agree , the game gets harder and most of the time unless the Killer goes easy, it ends in my death. So I know what you are saying.

My point is that those people whether they suicided or just failed to struggle accidentally, played the game the way they like, and I don't feel they should be punished for making my game a bit harder.

It's not just about using up pallets being bad. It's about being punished for technically using a legitimate game mechanic. The way I see it, if that can apply to repeated trolling/griefing through wasting pallets, it can also apply to excessive hook suicides.

    They CAN but WONT.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861969#Comment_861969

I'm not talking about ways to get the Killer's attention without using up pallets. I'm talking about people who knowingly and deliberately screw their team over by using up pallets.

And I agreed that using up pallets can be bad. That's why I made the same argument about getting found using lockers, that don't use up a resource.

Some people can't take "you're right" for an answer.

  • @MightyDwight said:

The problem is that you can't look to every reason people DC/Hook Suicide:

People will DC/Suicide for any of these:

    Don't like the Killer

    Don't like Killer's perks

    Don't like the map

    Don't like being found first

Don't like being 'camped' or 'tunneled' even if they are not camped or tunneled.

Don't like being pulled off a gen

    etc. etc.

As long as they have a 'legitimate' way out (Hook suicide); they will do it. For all the same reasons they DC. And almost every reason is self-entitled BS and 'Well, I should not have to play a match I'm not having fun in'.

Hint: Yes you should. It's called good sportsmanship. You stay to help your team. Do you see quarterbacks in football stomp off the field & refuse to play if they get sacked too much? No? Because they have sportsmanship.

When you log in, you're making a commitment to NOT be a complete douche. This means:

No cheating. No griefing. No abusing glitches.

NO RUINING OTHER HUMAN GOD DAMN BEINGS FUN. THIS INCLUDES NOT DISCONNECTING/SUICIDING LIKE SCRUB BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE <X> KILLER/PERK/MAP

So yes, you CAN force people to play a match, because they don't matter more than the OTHER 4 people playing, and they should not play AT ALL if they are going to act like a toddler and ragequit, regardless of HOW they ragequit.

People who ragequit, be it DC or hook-suicide, are nothing more than selfish, entitled a-holes who DO NOT CARE about anyone by themselves. They are NOT the type of people who should be defended or encouraged in any way, shape or form. They are the type of people who RUIN GAMES for everyone else.

You and I went over this in another post about the same topic. I'm almost sure it's a direct copy paste, but don't care to check on that.

DbD is not a team sport.

In the end my play style will reflect MY DESIRES, whether that be , being altruistic and rescuing people even when I leave myself dead on the hook, or the opposite where I wait out your last hook so I can get the hatch.

And again no amount of name calling and shaming on your part has any effect on how a person likes to play.

And one might say that you expecting someone to play how YOU want them to play, makes you the entitled one.

I mean, it's hindsight and in the past, so c'est la vie, but I'd say that you were actively creating a negative experience for your teammates.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861945#Comment_861945

No I haven't? Your point is that you can't punish people for hook suiciding because they are using legitimate game mechanics to do so, but you can punish someone who is legitimately dropping pallets left and right just to be a troll to their teammates, which is using legitimate methods. So that argument doesn't really work for me.

OK I'll give you that pallet misuse can be trolly. But there is always just jumping in and out of a locker to get noticed. And there is always just running around and looking for the Killer.

Gets the job done without using up resources.

"The Killer dcing caused loss of offerings, things people spend points to aquire, and survivors dcing, robs the Killer of earning points. Both of these had bad impact on actual player economy.

A survivor dying on the hook early, at least awards the Killer the points they earned."

    You most certainly did.

Also, I am talking about punishing actual griefers who just run around dropping pallets for the lulz.

You've strayed from my original point, and have moved on to my supporting points.

So I'll just take that as you seeing my point.

I highly doubt there will be any PUNISHMENTS given out once, people move from DCing to hook suicide.

I maintain that people will always take the "L" when they believe that the trial is going to be an unfun crap show.

The devs need to look more into why people Dc/Hook Suicide, and fix it at that level, not just punishing this and that game behaviour because some people see it as unfair that their trial just got harder.

Time will tell, but I'm pretty confident I'm right.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861888#Comment_861888

Were you repeatedly dying on the same hook after attempting to kobe?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861893#Comment_861893

You certainly implied the impact was minimal.

If you can punish someone who repeatedly wastes pallets to grief teammates, you can punish someone who excessively hook suicides.

I never implied any such thing.

I only said people leaving by legit game mechanincs, has NO ROOM for punishment.

You mistook pallet dropping for griefing, its not, its a way for the Survivor to alert the Killer so they can be rehooked and killed if they are forced to continue playing.

Drop a pallet and jump over it until desired effect happens.

So hook suicides are legit game play, what are you not getting here?

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861860#Comment_861860

I imagine people trying to do such things would use builds dedicated to such, which can easily be noticed and dismissed as such. So unless you're going to start running Slippery Meat and Luck offerings repeatedly to mask Hook Suicides, that isn't something I'd worry about.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861862#Comment_861862

A Survivor deliberately dying early denies Killer points and emblem progress, and it actively lowers the Survivors' chances of winning by a lot. It is not without consequences. Not by a long shot.

Never said it didn't impact the game.

I only said that as long as people use the mechanincs of the game to leave a match (ie, via self dehooking, and struggle) then there is nothing to punish. They played by the rules and got out. Sure it leaves an easier Killer game and a much harder Survivor game but that's how it is sometimes.

You cannot force someone to continue playing a round to the best of their ability, if they just want to get out. Everyones ability differs and its very tough to compare playing styles. You are asking BHVR to basically have a human double check all the data points and decide if someone was throwing the game or not. That is a tall order. And then there is always the false positives and the appeal process, again a nightmare.

All you can hope is that BHVR then looks at the under lying causes of people self removing. Whether it be unfun Killers/Maps/Tactics/Perks, and attempt to fix it on that level.

  • Dude the skins where given away for FREE from BVHR, and are the property of BHVR, just because people spent their money to get one from elsewhere, doesn't change the fact that BHVR can do what they want with their own property.

If you paid for a skin that BHVR gave away for free, you should just be happy you had the skin much earlier then everyone else.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861839#Comment_861839

They care because they are trying to disincentivize leaving a match early. Otherwise, what is the point in punishing DCing?

The Killer dcing caused loss of offerings, things people spend points to aquire, and survivors dcing, robs the Killer of earning points. Both of these had bad impact on actual player economy.

A survivor dying on the hook early, at least awards the Killer the points they earned.

Trust me friend , punishing Dc's is the end of it, they will not chase that any further.

How do you qualify how serious a player is taking the game? What if the player only wants to stealth around the map and not contribute to the game at all? Are they still playing? And so what if they are, isn't that kind of play legit? Some people like to play stealth challenges where they don't see the killer at all and escape through the hatch, are those kind of games going to now be FORBIDDEN?

And what if the player is just plain bad at the game it it appears they are throwing, when in fact they just suck?

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/861809#Comment_861809

I don't believe that it would be difficult to monitor who is dying suspiciously frequently on first hook.

Also, considering that they are punishing DCing, this idea of "you can't force people to not leave" does not hold much water.

They can monitor who tries to dehook themselves for sure, and yeah someone who doesn't even try on struggle is easy to track as well.

My point is why would they care? The player used in game tactics to leave a match, they didn't do anything sketching or forbidden. Then just didn't want to play that trial anymore and they got out as soon as possible.

I'm sorry you think that player owes you a good time, perhaps you'd prefer someone who doesn't give a crap about the game running around, throwing pallets to gather attention from the Killer trying to get hooked a second time? Or make just gathering up all the items from chests and dropping them in the basement? Maybe slamming lockers it get found and hooked?

If you TRY AND FORCE people to keep playing a round they want out of, they will lash out.

So yeah you are right BHVR can tell who is doing it, but they would be silly to do it.

  • @TAG said:

I imagine devs have the means to tell who is just intentionally suiciding on first-hook and who is not, so with them taking a seemingly tougher stance on DCing, they should look into this as well IMO.

So now BHVR is going to monitor who is playing half arsed, nah man, a DC will be punished, dieing early is just something you are going to have to live with.

You cannot force people to play in a round they don't want to. As long as they are using the game mechanics to leave fairly, then that's it.

Trying to Kobi is a legit game play mechaninc, and struggling is a second chance for a survivors to make up some BPs before being out of the game. If a player doesn't want those points then they have the right to die and leave.

Trying to force someone to continue to give a crap about a trial when they hate Tactic/map/killer is an impossible task and thinking they can punish people in to playing like they care is ridiculous.

Sounds like slight tweaks are needed here.

MAN, stop with the nerfs. The hag is a medium tier Killer at best. She certainly doesn't need any nerfs.

  • Goes to show how an unbalanced game can be unfun, and the consequences that can occur.

    DBD take note.

SWF take note, No one wants to play hunter and the game died. Keep asking for Killer nerfs.

  • Raising a pallet should make the same noise as dropping one. And give the Killer a notice bubble.

Explain how the changes too a massive changing because she still ignore loops and the only disadvantage I can think about is the few seconds cool down when using her power.

Also, what was fun about the old nurse that isn't for the new one?

I don't need to explain how the changes were so massive. The proof is this.

Almost no one wants to play the Nurse now, the sheer drop in trails with a Nurse should show you that they turned that particular Killer into one people only use when they have a daily to do.

Like I said the Killer is still viable to play, but the fun factor has been removed and no one is willing to waste their available play time on a Killer that fails to deliver any enjoyment.

So yeah you are right the changes may have been minimal, but the impact they have, tanked this particular Killer.

Killers do not like spending the majority of the time recovering from blink stuns to have to wait some more to get their required mode of mobility back.

Basically the amount of time a Nurse spends in a trial just waiting for negative effects to right themselves is just nuts.

I cleanse every totem i see and still get hit by NOED when playing survivor. The only time a killer can't use his NOED is when i bring a rainbow map with double range. And the only reliable counter NPED shouldn't be a UR item.

In the end you are talking about countering someones PERK with an ITEM. Using NOED is a gamble the Killer plays. I will trade a perk slot for the majority of the game, for a chance to have a powerful perks in the end game. Sometimes is works and sometimes nope. Don't forget you can also destroy the totem to end NOED.

There shouldn't be a 100% easy counter for any PERK.

I'm sorry you are having NOED problems, but it is a PERK after all and sometimes it actually needs to activate, otherwise it'll get a boost so that it for sure activates.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/848755#Comment_848755

But how am i supposed to counter NOED, if i don't know if other survs cleansed totems too?

It seems unless RUIN is in play, survivors don't give totems a second glance, unless they are in a super easy spot.

I run Small Game because my RUIN skill checks are garbage. As a result I'm often alerted to totems and traps from Trapper and Hag. Its quite useful.

But even not using that perk, there are usually totems around most of the generators, there are a few spots that totems spawn that are away from gens but you'll just need to learn those possible positions. Unfortunately this is a trial and error portion of the game, and there is no quick study.

Again if you are scared of NOED then you need to put in the work. There is no quick and dirty totem defense. Totems were always designed to be a time distraction from the generators. If you are looking hi and low for totems then gen time is extended.

Solos and Killers are the only ones playing the game as per the original design. With only minimal gestures for communication. The lack of knowledge is supposed to be part of the game, SWF are just bypassing this aspect totally.

All I can say is try to kill at least one or two totems before starting the gens. Then you know you did your part. If every survivor played by that rule then there would definitely be less NOED casualties.

And like I said totems are worth enough BP's to be worth the time to cleanse.

  • @FriendlyGuy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/846968#Comment_846968

How do i know when all totems are cleansed as solo survivor?

You don't, its part of the risk of totems. It wouldn't be fair to the Killer if there was some kind of tracking to let everyone know how many totems are left.

If you feel SWF have an advantage in this respect, you'd be 100% correct in that SWF screws the Killer at every chance. And its not fair to solos or Killers.

  • But there is nothing currently wrong with NOED the way it is. Stop gen rushing and do totems, they are actually worth good points.

If you get hit with NOED, its your own fault.

  • @Endstille said:

@Outland But why should they care?

How did they handle the feedback that was here on the forums? They ignored it.

I don't feel there was care or whatever when devs tell you that "great mindgame potential" is 115% on a 60s timer, just shows how little they understood the entire interaction of killer and survivor regarding nurse. Neither did they fix the bugs when charging blinks and it sounds like she is having a stroke...

Sorry I doubt they care, spirit is next (i never really played spirit as to me she is boring and unappealing) and meanwhile SWF is just goofing around with friends. Remind me again why were nurse changes needed? Oh yeah right because of a very small percentage of all people and not the majority of people that just sucked with her. Yet somehow the very same concept is ignored when it comes to other aspects of the game like SWF. Where the excuse is well most just goof around ...

    @MightyDwight

Yeah but check how long nurse is a killer in this game and how long some people play her compared to legion.

I agree with you, it does appear BHVR give zero F's to the feedback supplied by their userbase. They seem to only go with what HARD DATA their reports show them. Only this time I do believe that their data will show a major decrease in Nurse matches because all they managed to do with her changes was make a truly unfun and frustrating Killer.

She won't be over performing now, because she'll barely see any matches.

Anyways, hey its their game to F up i guess.

  • BHVR said no to this when they designed the game, and they still stick to it. NO IN GAME VOICE CHAT.

  • @Mr_K said:

I'm just giving reason why they might be waiting. I don't disagree with your point.

The camera shake isn't a small thing though. I couldn't really play Nurse after they turned on Dedicated servers because of it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was being confrontational to you, I agree there needs to be a change to bring the Nurse back from Daily only status.

  • 100% Needs to be implemented.

Takes the some of the sting out of a bad sport being in your game.

  • Its the WAITING to be able to use my basekit power that has ruined her for me and many other players. Reducing her camera shake isn't going to change the fact that I need to waste time waiting for my power to come back.

This is not a fix, they need to admit the screwed up and give her back her basekit the way it was. The addon nerfs was all she needed.

  • @Fibijean said:

I'm not a Nurse main. I'm not even a killer main. I've barely played her. But it sounds like the rework changed her kit pretty significantly. Is it possible that part of the reason she seems so weak currently is because people who have gotten used to how she plays, who have developed that inbuilt muscle memory or second nature or whatever you want to call it, are naturally having trouble adjusting to a new playstyle with her?

Yes, she's weaker, but maybe she's not as weak as she seems. Perhaps she can become a solid high tier, if not top tier, killer again simply by giving her some time to get used to.

In her current state, she'll never be a top tier killer. For one reason, she is majorly UNFUN to play. No one wants to play her anymore. And that says volumes, as to whether or not the nerf should be left as is.

If their plan was to move yet another Killer into the daily only group, then mission accomplished.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/845281#Comment_845281

Your logic is the Spirit phases so she should have no vault animation. By that logic Hillbilly should just chainsaw through since that is his power.

Spirit doesn't deserve special treatment of having no vault animation. Even Nurse who doesn't need to but still can has one. Simple as that. Sporit should be no exception. And now she won't be. Which is as it should be.

All I hear is "I can't abuse windows because I can't tell what shes doing". The solution here is DON'T WAIT AT WINDOWS. The Spirit is fine, survivors just need to learn to play differently versus different Killers. Why should one defense (looping) be the "end all" way of countering every killer?

The Killers have different powers and dealing with them should require different tactics. Not just complaining when the same ole crap doesn't work for one of them.

  • @Zoldyar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/104746/the-nurse-is-being-ignored

She wasn't that hard to control when using 5 blinks add on, even if you were new at this game.

How is she unfun and uncomfortable to play as when she still function the same? All you have to do now is be more patient with your blinks if you are always replying on using multiple blinks.

She still function the same as ever, so your reasoning for complaining about her makes no sense. Just because she is hard to use, doesn't mean she is unfun. It means you are just not good at using her unlike other players. Why don't you take your time and properly learn her instead of always wanting to constantly blink all the time?

Why should the nurse be able to move that fast when she is capable of ignoring all defences against suriviors? This isn't a complaint, it is just you wanting her to be like how you want her to play as.

Moreover, why would the devs monitor her still? There's plenty of gameplay out there to show the new nurse is srill capable of easily getting 3k all games if you know how to use her.

The Nurse is still playable, you are correct in that. But no one WANTS to play her anymore. They took a very popular killer, and turned her into one that people only use if the have a daily the want to complete.

People play games to have fun, if there is no fun, then that is a wasted character.

The nerfs to the Nurse were fatal. I have played against maybe 2 Nurses since the gutting.

I've played against more Legions then Nurses.

All the people that are happy with the Nurse changes, are mostly survivor mains that couldn't pull the same ole pallet loop defense against her. But most of the people who play the game and are honest know the Nurses changes were too much. And I'll bet the data will show that more will need to be done to swing the balance the other way, if BHVR hopes to have people play this killer again.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

This is working as intended. If you run more than one totem, this is how it should work. You got the benefit of ruin the whole time, but for the EGC it is useless. You had NOED, but if you finished before the gens were done, NOED is useless. Either way, totems are powerful, but risky.

No change needed here. Working as it should.

He equipped the perk, and play the whole game with only three perks. If there is a totem alive at the end, then NOED should take it over. The Killer deserves for his perks to work.

A change is definitely needed here.

  • @Bigbootiejudy666 said:

I think DS is perfectly balance fpr both sides

Its not really, its a hallpass that gets abused. After the killer hooks someone else, or you start a gen, then the perk has done its job, and needs to be deactivated.

How would you feel if the Killer was immune to stuns for a minute after receiving a stun?

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/836902#Comment_836902

By that logic the Hillbilly should chainsaw through windows.

I mean even the blinking Nurse has a vault animation.

What logic comparison are you using, you make no sense. Hillbilly and Spirit are no where even close to being the same. The Nurse how ever should also pass through the window without an animation. It would look cooler then her little hop through the window that we have now.

So if you are saying we should remove the Nurse window animation, I'm all for it, what a great suggestion. High Five to you.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

Why does she deserve a no vaulting animation and everyone else doesn't?

She phases, doesn't need a vault, she passes through unhindered.

I'm sure she's fine with the no vault, you should be too.

  • Yep she fine, thats why her presence in trials is WAY WAY down. Only survivor mains think she is fine. And thats because they almost never see her unless so poor schmuck is doing a daily.

They "round filed" that killer. No point in playing something that is only frustrating.

I'm nowhere near new to dead by daylight, I've had my fair share of terrible games. I play on the ps4, and I just finished a game with a salty hillbilly player. I get people play how the want to and that's fine, but this guy had no reason to camp me nor to slug me.

    Let me explain...

On Autohaven, one of my teamates gets found straight away, so I was hoping tp flashlight save them but he had infectious fright on. Therefore he begins chasing me but gives up due to me pallet looping him, he goes back to pick up the guy, luckily I get there quickly to flashlight save them. Unfortunately they get downed again and i can't save them, they get hooked in the basement. The other two also get caught and put in the basement too, so it's just me. I loop him around the shack for a bit, without the god pallet because it was used early.

I manage to save one of the players, the other two died on hook. I get hooked, and he just facecamps me until I'm in struggle, the player from early saves me but I get tunnelled and then slugged because of my ds. So I just dcd out of frustration.

How is that fair? Why the facecamp? Because I looped him for a bit and flashlighted him? I don't understand it.

(Also he messaged me calling me a crybaby? What? Haha)

It was 100% deserved. You were the threat in the game. Only an idiot would give you another chance to wreak havoc.

You dc'd because he didn't let you DS him, sounds like the game was all good when you were in charge, but as soon as he shut you down, you took the ball and went home.

    Shame on you.

Why does it have to be a 4 friend premade ROFL stomping some random guy who just wants to play the game. Or its just not fun for the SWF.

SWF limited to 2 seems fine. It definately would take take the unfairness out of swf for the killers.

I still nurse fun and still 4k not against best teams because my skill is not that high but still. Only add-ons need some tweaks like (Anxious Grasp , Bad Man's last breath , Dull Bracelet/white nit comb and torn bookmark) otherwise the rest is good in my opinion.

I'm seen marth no long as yesterday 4k with 1 perk and some of her meh add-ons.

Marth however slugs in order to keep survivors under control. So he sees a lot of DC's because it wasn't enough for the survivors to complain the nurse into mediocrity, they still don't like how Killers play her.

    Nothing has changed. What?!?!

Hag rework/buff. Trapper rework/buffs. Wraith rework/buffs. Nurse nerfs. Totems better hidden. DL changed. New Killer perks. New Killers like Spirit and Ghost Face. Legion reworked/nerfs. Freddy rework/buffs. Gen and Door time increased. EGT. Closing hatch.

BT nerf, Instant heals nerfed, BNP nerfed, DS nerfed, MoM, MoM nerfed, buff to stealth killers, new perks, loops nerfed, pallet vacuum nerfed, window reworks, Sabotage gutted, medkits changed, Exhaustion nerfs, gen stacking nerfed, WGLF nerfed,

And yes, please bring up one of the worst Killers as if he validates another Killer or a add on or a offering being OP. I guess all Survivor stuff is fine cause No Mither is trash.

Your survivor main is showing. You just sound like a butt hurt survivor.

You whine and complain about a few Ultra Rare addons, like those are the norm you see them EVERY game. But I bring up short comings for a lot of the the Killer roster.

You know why you see a ton of survivor nerfs? Because they were needed. Even after all the nerfs, survivors are still in the power role. You want to be able to 1v1 every Killer even though there are 4 survivors to the 1 killer. So if you all can 1v1 the killer, then when is the killer supposed to actually do any killing?

The truth and the fact of it is Optimal Survivor play current trumps Optimal Killer play.

Without mistakes, Killers struggle with time management. And with a large majority of the killer roster optimal survivor play means a loss.

Survivors can play the game, get sacrificed and still pip up, where as Killers can get a 4k and still not pip.

You need to spend a good chunk of time playing Killer and then have a good look at your current beliefs.

Please stop fleeing to a outdated experiment (Survivors have been drastically nerfed, Killers buffed compared to then) that doesn't even match up to about 98% of the matches anyone will ever play.

Nothing has changed, Killer still requires Survivor mistakes to capitalize on to win. If the survivors play perfectly the Killer cannot battle all 4 efficiently enough to win with any regularity.

Try playing clown for instance. You can play real well in chases and still lose to gens popping all over.

    You know its true.

Stop putting your head in the sand.

  • @Mochan said:

Survivors don't have an inherent advantage. Killers don't require more skill. Both sides require a lot of skill to win consistently.

You are 100% wrong on this. Morphs depip squad proved that if the survivors are played optimally then there is nothing a Killer can do to win.

The Killer depends on Survivor mistakes to win, if the survivors play perfectly and the killer plays perfectly. The the survivor wins, every time.

You just keep telling yourself its balanced.

  • Sounds like someone understands the Spirits power, and just needs to learn to play differently.

Not all Killers can be thwarted by the same ole game play ( ie looping and pallets).

    Adapt

In game communications are standard in many online games. SWF would obviously still prefer Discord, but the whole point of this discussion is to provide the means for solo's to have voice chat so that way BHVR can balance around voice chat being present. Rather than having to attempt to balance around half the players having voice chat and the other half not.

BHVR has stated many times that they do not intend to add in game voice. They have decided against it from early on in designing the game. And quite frankly most players do not want it either.

The first thing anyone asks is how do I turn it off.

  • Communications are pointless, people would still use discord and ignore it in game. No need to spend resources on a feature no one really wants.

  • Survivors asked for more things to do then objectives. So they gave you small challenges. And what good would the challenges be without a reward, so there you go some cosmetics.

And Killers will want their share of goodies, so , bam!, small challenges for them as well.

The system didn't add in more grind UNLESS YOU WANT IT.

So the community wanted some more things to do, and they got it, you can ignore it if you don't find it fun to do.

Basically take it or leave it, but there is no room for complaining about it.

  • One hook deaths do not ruin the game for 4 people. The killer gets his full points for the kill not just a quitter bonus.

If anything the Killer just keeps on playing. The remaining survivors have a harder time but that's just life.

But you need to remember, everyone is free to play this game how ever they like. And pulling a one hook death to get out of a game , that the player isn't going to enjoy anyways, is fully legal, and should be an option for everyone.

  • @ColonGlock said:

Survivors should be able to suicide on the hook: AKA trying to kobe, without punishment.

That being said, there should be a blood point incentive for staying in a full match to the end.

Rewards for playing the game correctly?? No, punishment for playing the game wrong! Yes

  • Would you prefer a player who doesn't want to be in the game, run around and drop pallets, go gather items from chests and drop them in the basement or get rehooked after you dehook them so that you lose your unhook points?

You cannot force someone to play just because you think its unfair if they don't.

People play this game individually to have fun. And if a Map/Killer/Perks Setup, is just going to make them hate the game, then taking a one hook death is legit.

I bet you are the same type of person that complains about weaker players. If they are not as strong as you are they also RUINING your game?

  • Well to me , gen speed is too quick. There is a reason why RUIN is such a popular perk. Another way to slow down gens is to ELIMINATE a survivor as quick as possible. So tunneling can make sense. You still multi-hook them so your points do not suffer.

Only survivors get mad at it, sure its not fun to be out real quick, but hey, take the L and go que again. This might be why SWF hate tunneling so much because they then have to wait for the rest of the match to be over to pack up and start again.

A killer that doesn't tunnel is not playing efficiently, they are giving the other players of the game a break so that they might enjoy the match. A break that they rarely return back to the Killer.

So to all Killers, if you get upset that your RUIN is gone a minute into the game, try tunneling the survivors down to 3 asap. Its just smart play.

Obviously I'm biased because I'm also a "Twitch TV".

But pretending like it's only streamers abusing the Wake Up bug & only Streamers using a perk at a time when it's at it's most powerful (OoO) is utterly ridiculous.

The point here Senzu is streamers should know better then to stream current game breaking bugs.

Its streamers that spread bad news like wild fire, and they who rely on the game for keeping their audience entertained should be the last ones to promote game killing bugs.

I've read an ton of Killers claiming to taking a break from Killer until the bug is fixed. So this particular bug is having a very bad effect on the game.

Now streamers are not the only ones to blame here, the forums themselves are often just as bad, but the exposure is certainly on a lesser extent.

In the end, a Streamer who depends on a game for their success should practice the "Not Crapping , where you eat" philosophy.
