lolno. It's not up to the devs to make it so players actually think about their actions. Survivors make camping worthwhile. It's up to Survivors to play smart.

Game dev is all about crafting a specific experience. If the players aren't doing the things the devs want, then it's up to the devs to tweak the design to get the players to do the right thing.

Tiny flaw in your argument: camping is not unintended design. Camping was always presented as an option for Killers due to hook vultures, and it should remain that way until if and when hook vultures go away.

    How did survivors abuse it?

They were forcing Killers to stay near the hook by miming vultures.

I think it should be made that if you're within three meters to the survivor, their dying meter doesn't deplete, unless they're the last survivor, in which case they're sacrificed immediately. If you're outside of that range but still within ten meters the dying meter depletes as normal, but get slower the longer you're in that range, and the speed doesn't "refresh" if you walk out of the range and go back in.

Already tried and abused by Survivors, much to nobody's surprise.
Try thinking outside the box and rewarding Killers for leaving the hook.

No such thing as hacks on XBOX One. The killer probably let him wiggle out and lied to you.

One thing I've noticed in these conversations is that even people who defend camping agree that it's frustrating and annoying. Devs, do you want your game to be annoying and frustrating, or would you rather have it be fun and scary?

Almost everyone wants the game to be fun, but most Survivors keep making camping worthwhile.

  • It's either a bug, exploit, or hack. You should report it.

  • @Gemasuda said:
Very one sided argument.  So if a person is camped and tunneled off hook, killer ensuring they get no blood points or get to enjoy the game they should give him the courtesy of a third hook.  Good luck with that mentality

It's not up to your opponent to make your game "fun".

  • I like it. It should be for both the Killer and Survivor, though. Sometimes I wonder where it is while playing Killer as well...

I've got two Meg swf sitting in the game not doing ANYTHING for the past 20 mins+ just urban evasioning around the map. I've had 3 gens up for all of this. They won't touch them or anything. Is this bannable because holy ######### this is irritating. I'm not gonna dc and give them what they want because that's not even close to how this game should be. I want to report them but have no idea if that even does anything in this game.

    >

I don't think there's a lot of people being opposed to some kind of counter mechanic to this issue. for example, if no gens has been done, and no chases has been initiated for 5 minutes, the auras of survivors are revealed.

    Yes, something along these lines.

The issue with that is that a killer can just go someplace with clear los or to where they're terror radius covers an area and wait. Then the 5 minutes come up and whammo free aura reading and in the op's case one person is obviously waiting for the other person to do something.

If it's a high mobility killer and now with the new Surveillance it's suicide to touch anything which again some killers wanted this and look what they got. The law of unintended consequences has bitten them in the rear again the same as the healing and SC nerfs/Exhaustion nerfs did.

Now granted the exhaustion and healing changes needed to happen but making them so extreme beyond what most killers wanted made things worse.

One way to do it instead of an overall aura reading make it a personal aura reading reveal where they need to actually be doing something interactive.

They could be doing totems, looking through chests, working on gens at least get 5% done or so, may'be sabo a hook at least 5% without a toolbox or 15% with one.

IF they use say the mighty Pebble and the killer actually goes for it ie into their terror radius and to where the Pebble is it counts.

If the Killer is doing nothing for five full minutes and the Survivors have not yet escaped, that's on the Survivors.

Plenty of counters to camping, the best one is to ignore the survivor being camped and do gens and escape.

The other 3 people had fun repairing gens and escaping and getting them bloodpoints but what about the guy who die :)? This is the problem.

Losing isn't supposed to be fun. That's why it's different from winning.

I disagree. Even when I lose, I have fun. This applies to pretty much every game I play.

You disagree with what, exactly? I didn't say you can't have fun while losing, but it's not supposed to be fun. If winning and losing produced the same results, what would be the point?

I guess you got me there. But, I also make a game out of it to learn all four perks before the match is over and I like the satisfaction of learning right after I die or survive. There have been times where I thought “the killer must have (so and so) because of (this)” and sometimes it seemed obvious and sometimes it ended that they didn’t have the perk and they were just good at guessing survivor movements and predicted what they do. If I do happen to die before the match is over, I like to see if I was correct without having to wait for the match to end AND THEN WAIT another 10 minutes for a lobby to load because lobby times are ridiculous right now (on PS4 anyway). But I’m not just speaking for myself personally. I’m speaking for the new players that shouldn’t have to wait for a whole match to be over to learn what they died to.

If you want to know, you'll have to wait. It's a trade-off.
Also, you only speak for yourself. I don't see any new players complaining about this.

  • @NurseVSWeepingAngels said:
Here’s the thing though.. does this sniping really happen every single game? No. So to me, was it worth changing something that stops what happens once every (who knows how many games) to now affect every single survivor every single game? That makes no sense to me at all. They have now created an issue to every match vs one that happened rarely. And it’s a very one sided thing. As someone who plays killer a lot, I realize I can’t win every single match. Who cares if I get the rare swf perk snipe vs all the other 3k-4K games I get. This hurts all solo players legitimately playing solo and all new players trying to learn the game. Im sorry but this was a poor fix and should have been done when they can discern solo vs swf parties.

Are you the first one to die every single game? No. So, by your own logic, this is fine.
In more common logic, however, the frequency of a problem doesn't make it any less impactful. You can wait until the trial ends if you really wanna know the Killer's loadout - if you haven't figured it out by then, that is...

I really don't use items at all. And i should not have bad ping. I have good internet.

That's not how ping works. Ping arises from the physical distance between the server and the people connected to it. Information can only travel so quickly - that's just how the universe works.

Honestly, camping isn't all that bad. Tunnelling is the problem. And the logic some people on this forum have said baffles me. One time someone said to me when a killer breaks a gen and you go back on it that's 'tunnelling a gen'. The equivalent to tunnelling is teabagging. Looping and camping are part of the game

Just like tunneling is part of the game.
Face it, its simply the time efficient solution to focus down on one survivor.

Tbagging has no gameplay impact btw, its just toxic

Decisive strike, adrenaline, insta heals are part of the game. Face it.

Oof that one was a good one. Don't forget Self care. Even though it's weak af, killers still think it needs a desperate nerf.

It's so weak, it's only the most used perk on either side, and has been since the game's release.

I would like to know where the "Cannot report survivors for" list is, cause this is all things to report killers, but from what I've seen, the devs are HEAVILY killer sided, and let almost any reports against survivor through. So much that 3 of my favorite streamers got banned just shy of 2 days after this was implemented, and they only play survivor because killer is too easy for them. (Obviously they got banned on PC so they went on console, and the killers were just worse than on PC.) Which literally kills their stream, youtube channel and force them to find something else to play. Seriously sad.

Only the first three things and the last one are things that only Killers can do. The fourth and sixth can go either way, and everything else is things that only Survivors do. In other words, it's 50/50.
It is quite sad that you're here defending people who were banned for good reason.

  • @Zanely89 said:
Honestly, that list is not completed and you based your opinion on that list, a wiki list...
I just couldn't get behind some of the things people said here, don't speak of culture that you do not understand and spread it like a fact.

What I said of Chinese culture is what the Chinese people say of Chinese culture. See, for example, parents rioting about anti-cheat measures during school exams, who are quoted as saying that "there's no fairness if they (students) can't cheat". If I'm spreading misinformation, it's only because they misinformed me in the first place.

  • @NurseVSWeepingAngels said:
How can they spoil it though if they’re playing solo?

Friend requests, profile comments, direct messages on console...

  • @NurseVSWeepingAngels said:
I wish there was a way to implement that the solo players can see it while people who have others in the party still in the game will have to wait... maybe when dedicated servers come they can do this?

They could, but they won't. Solo players can still get salty and spoil the Killer's loadout with SWF just to spite the Killer. This is one of those problems that can't be fixed because it has to do with the ######### nature of some of the players in this game.

  • If the item you found isn't worth taking, you'll have to swap anyway. At least this way, you always know what you're picking up.

  • She's really not. The problem is that she requires completely different tactics compared to the other Killers, so people just aren't used to doing what is necessary to counter her.

  • Face camping was an exploit that was removed long ago; now we just have "camping". What you're suggesting was already tried and abused by Survivors. Lastly, camping is the worst thing a Killer can do, since he's literally doing nothing for the same amount of time that it should take the Survivors to repair all generators and leave.

  • Nah, let him stay in F13th. The curse might follow him to DbD.

Buddy, the US Internet is the best compared to brazilian Internet. Brazilian Internet is the true meaning of absolute garbage.

Is Brazil considered a developed country? I must admit I'm a little fuzzy on the exact definition of the term, but with the civil unrest and all the social problems, I didn't think it'd fit.

Except that killers already do this before the game starts. They lobbydodge and we can wait another half hour to find a game. This game is just a unsportsmanlike wasteland.

Dodging is not the same as DCing. Dodging prevents a trial from starting right away. DCing screws over the 4 other people in the trial while the trial is still going on.

  • @Yamaoka said:
The bear trap will still pop if you crawl out unless the pig downs you after the walls within the gate and uses the trap there. And the hatch was closed because one survivor decided to look for chests instead of leaving. He probably waited for me to die so he could use the hatch himself.

    What an #########.

  • If you can die, it's not holding the game hostage. DCing, however, is bannable if you do it enough. In that specific scenario, I'd advise you to make yourself a sandwich and then report the Killer for griefing.

  • @Laakeri said:
Worst thing about playing asian or russian killers is that their ping is very stable in lobby. But oh boy when the game starts the ping goes from stable 50 to spiking 50-600.

I cant understand how they do that and only thing I can do is to block the ping and leave.

I'm not saying this is the case, but some Killers have said that their ping spikes after the round starts due to their computer having poor specs. The ping in a lobby is not always a good indicator of the ping you'll experience during the actual trial, because the Killer's computer will be under additional strain during the trial.

I am going to join the hordes of toxic players in this game spreading lies and propaganda to show how underpowered survivors are compared to OP killers, and campaign for killer nerfs every inch of hte way, and won't stop until survivors get the buffs they deserve.

This is ######### and ridiculous [BAD WORD] and utter ######### and [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD] [BAD WORD]
