Not exactly, update the graphic engine means better tools and sometimes improve the current tools and gadgets. But it is not literally an optimitacion work.
As I understand it, updating the engine also means updating the functions that are built into it that are used by developers to, y'know, develop. That's why updating game engines can often introduce bugs to pre-existing features.

But no one in their right mind would consider Doc trash tier.
I know is a relative term.
That's your opinion. Others think you're overrating the Doctor. There's no objective measure either way.

Are you putting him in the same level of Freddy and Leatherface? He has a lot of map awareness, his power is annoying for survivors and with correct perks he have a good map pressure, enough reasons for not considering him low to trash tier and not considering him overrated.
I'm not putting him at any level, I'm pointing out that you don't know what overrated means. It's a relative term.
If person A thinks the Huntress is mid-tier, but person B thinks she's top-tier, then to person A, person B is overrating the Huntress. Inversely, for person B, person A is underrating the Huntress.

Huntress.
And I don't know why some of you mentioned Doctor, he is not overrated, most of people consider him mid to low tier and he is not one of the most played. Do you know the meaning of "overrated"?
Do YOU know the meaning of "overrated"? Maybe some people think the Doctor is low to trash tier, which would mean that, to them, those who consider him mid to low tier are overrating him.

There's a huge difference in dcing against a moonwalk exploiting Legion and versing a group comp you may not like. The former has absolutely no counter and the latter actually has things you can do to counter.
Scroll up, that person was complaining about legitimate play (use of add-ons).

You forgot one thing: suiciding on 1st hook. U will never be able to punish survivors cuz devs will never punish suiciding on hook.
At least you bought the team however long it took to put you on the hook, which is slightly more than the team would get from you DCing.

Developers literally said in their stream last October that the new chapter (which is Plague) is the oldest killer in the game.
"Oldest" in the sense that she was taken from the earliest time period.

It's really annoying that many killers feel so insecure about their skill level that they have to dodge a lobby with regular survivors. Unless it's some toxic, SWF team but then that's mori's got added for. Makes my game bugged too and takes way too long to get in a match. It's worse than 3v1.
So killers are at fault for not facing things they don't feel like they can handle, and are also at fault for taking precautions against things they don't feel like they can handle. Simultaneously, survivors are completely justified in DCing against things they don't feel like they can handle.
No double standard here, no sir.

Could not have said it better myself. The community begged for original content after we got quite a few licensed chapters. the devs listened and gave us what the community asked for. In my opinion one licensed chapter per year would be fine. The vast majority of chapters should be original content. Its better for the game.
Not only is it better for the game, but the devs' designs and backstories are almost always more imaginative and just straight-up more interesting than licensed killers'.

The matchmaking is currently broken, u can't tell that people should stare at the lobby screen and waste time instead of alt tabbing to do something else. Whatever.
There is a lack of killers. Maybe if survivors weren't so toxic, killers wouldn't have quit the game. Your disregard for the issues that led to the current situation just makes you part of the problem.

lol the irony. Look at all the insane buffs killers cry for because they can't learn how to deal with whatever issues they're having or learn how to play certain killers properly.
Also you could say "just loop them" about any killer. Therefore any killer shouldn't be able to get any hits in on survivors. Yet that's not the case, not for expert players anyway. You see my point?
And those get shot down just the same, but survivors seem to think that when their ideas get shot down, it's because the forum is "full of killer mains who just want easy 4ks".
Yes, I see your point. However, there is only one killer whose basekit actually counters looping.

Your question was answered, was it not?

Time in the Entity's realm doesn't work the way we perceive it. The Plague was taken from the earliest time period, but she could've been taken "yesterday" from the PoV of the people in the Entity's realm.

Again, if it were that simple then he wouldn't be regarded as one of the strongest killers in the game and nobody would be using him at top ranks.
If he's so easy to beat then why is he so commonly picked in red ranks?
Because rather than try to figure out what they're doing wrong, survivors come to the forum to complain. This isn't like current DS that has no counter. Every single killer and killer perk has counters that survivors either refuse to learn or refuse to use.

That's fine tho, I was just referring to your point about chatting with randoms in the pre game. It's just dead, noone talks
(I edited my post a bit and added some stuff, it's not only the fault of the survivors when noone talks)
Aside from not everyone speaking the same language, it is 100% on the survivors for not speaking. It is their choice not to do so, and therefore the consequences are on them to deal with.

You told me to stop acting like the victim of a conspiracy to hide threads. As if it were my thread. Dont backtrack what you meant now.
Names could have been edited relatively easily. What is happening is nothing against these dcs. Which us my point. We literally see someone breaking the rules, and the post just poofs away with no warning or mention. Most posts I've seen give a warning, "hey hide names, it's not allowed".
So it seemed extremely odd to me that when a fogwhisperer is the one in question, the post up and vanishes.
I posted that after you said it wasn't your thread. I'm not backtracking anything, you're just refusing to accept the truth.
Again, it's not on the mods to clean up after users. On most forums I go to, comments that break the rules are deleted and the users are contacted personally, so as not to disrupt the forum itself.

Damn, you don't play that much solo do you? Or at least you never tried chatting in the pre match lobby. 9/10 It's completely quite, noone says anything. Sometimes a "gl have fun" or a "ok" of one single mate of you tell them that you have adrenalin.
Solo communication is dead man
I play solo exclusively. I just counter NOED in my own way, without breaking the totems. I call it "stealth".

Agreed. Anyone with that attitude needs to be beaten off their high horse by way of banhammer.

Pre-game chat to coordinate... Do you even play survivor?
Yes. That's how I know the feature exists. Is it on the developers to hold the survivors' collective hands because they choose not to use the tools that they've been given?
-
@The_Crusader said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/357338#Comment_357338
Solo survivors find it hard to co-ordinate, some just leave them entirely On top of that killers like Billy can pressure the map well enough that they don't have time to cleanse all totems as well.
It's easy to say "just cleanse totems" but sometimes it's easier said than done. Like again people say "just loop billy" yet he's constantly picked because he's strong, or when they say "just get good with skillchecks" for ruin, yet everyone picks Ruin because it slows the game down.
Again it's like when survivors say "just eat the DS" but it's not always that simple because sometimes you simply don't have the time to be messing about with DS when they're rushing gens.
What I'm saying is the fact that people say "billy is easily loopable" yet at the same time everyone recognizes him as one of the strongest killers in the game. There's a lot more going on.
Like when they say "just use stealth" against the nurse, yet nurse is seem as hands down the strongest killer in the game and many would argue OP.
All these tactics work up to a point but in the context of a full game over 10 minutes or so "######### happens".
If all these counters were as simple and easy to consistently pull off for an entire game then none of these things mentioned would be meta, no nurse, no billy, no noed, no ruin, no ds etc
People pick them because they are strong - fact.
Pre-game chat to coordinate. Small Game to find totems. Break the totems to prevent NOED. You've no excuse, Small Game isn't even a teachable.

I'm sure I've seen other posts edited, not deleted entirely.
That said it's a very bad look having behaviour staff constantly talking about disconnecting being against the rules while someone officially endorsed by them does so anyway. I hope they're discussing it with the person in question and not sweeping it under the rug, You can't expect the community to take disconnecting seriously if officially endorsed people don't.
Depends on the post itself and how much of a pain in the ass it'd be to remove all naming and shaming from it. It's not the mods' job to clean up after people who break the rules by removing the bits of their comments that are rule-breaking.
I, too, hope they're taking action against DCers of all types, and not just the ones certain elements of the vocal community seem to fixate on.

So we completely disregard the underlying issue, because of technical bs? Her actions are unacceptable and we both know it. Stop acting like you believe otherwise simply because it was showed as a potential "name and shame".
Its not name and shame if the actions are 100% true and against the rules of the game. calIt's called, "evidence".
Shes (and many others) getting away with breaking rules, and now being covered up.... just saying.
No, we delete threads that do nothing because they break the rules. Don't pretend you're the victim of some widespread conspiracy when the thread was deleted because it blatantly violated the rules of this forum.

So had it been posted with no names? It would have stayed? You and I both know that's a lie.
It's not name and shaming if they do it regularly LIVE on stream. Its not like people dont see it. It's not a personal attack or a witch hunt. Everyone already knows she does it.
It's just a shame these people get away with it even with this "dc system" in place.
If it had been posted with no names and without "subtle" hints as to who it was, it might have stayed, yes.
It's name and shame regardless. No amount of rationalizing is going to change that.

You mean the name-and-shame thread? It was deleted, as per the rules.

But again if it were that simple then no killer would take it because they would never get to use it, but the it seems like the majority do and that's because everyone knows it's an incredibly strong perk.
It's like when people use to say "Just eat the Decisive" but it wasn't so simple in reality.
It is that simple, but survivors don't do it. If survivors don't do it, the perk doesn't get countered. If the perk doesn't get countered, then it's useful.

I don't get this "git gud" attitude. Killer mains do it if someone complains about NOED or Ruin too. Sure you can make things sound simple but it doesn't pan out that way in game.
If it was just a case of "just dodge" then Billy wouldn't be used so commonly at red ranks, nor would he always be in the top 2 when it comes to tier lists. Pretty sure he has the most killers per killer in the stats too.
Same for Ruin and NOED. If they weren't strong then they wouldn't be meta.
Strength is relative. The Hillbilly is stronger than most other killers by comparison, but then most other killers are weaker than they have any right to be.

Don't unhook with the Hillbilly on your ass?

Can developers even retroactively add content to DLCs that were already sold?

It means the killer is camping. The problem is that the intended message seems to be the opposite, so new players get confused.

I don`t know if it is common or not but I frequently get crashes after someone uses bloody party streamers. Either my screen freezes and I had to restart game or after long loading screen game starts as 3 or 2 survivors. It has been occurred so many times to be considered as coincidence, yet I can`t be sure of course.
This is something I've heard a lot as well, that the offering actually makes the game unstable.

You should tell that to the survivors I get, then, because they don't seem to understand the concept.

Pretty dumb idea. You won't have anyone to play against. Survivors are making a statement to the devs by dc'ing or quickly dying to Legion. Similar to a boycott. I, for one, support them. I don't run Legion, but do heavily play Trapper, Clown, Pig, Hag, Wraith, Shape, and Doc. I don't get that many DC's.
I rarely play survivor, but will not play a full game vs Legion. I die on 1st hook every time. Dumb design and mostly toxic azzhats that play him.
Survivors are doing nothing except ######### over killers who want to play the Legion. It only seems fair that they get punished for it.
-
I'm gonna try to explain what I believe to be the reason, but I want to emphasize that this is just speculation.
This offering usually signals an intent to farm points. However, when killers try to farm, it's always up to survivors if they actually get any points. Survivors dictate if farming killers get any hits, hooks, etc..
More often than not, survivors will just rush gens, open the exits, teabag, then leave, and the farming killer gets very few points.
That has been my experience whenever I clearly signal that I'm trying to farm (even in the PTB), except when there's only one survivor remaining, because then the survivor has no choice but to do what I say or die.
