Updated the OP with the new teaser.

Does anyone know when the PTB is going to be? Because if it's still a little while away then this feels way to early to basically reveal who the killer is.
Tuesday, supposedly. That's when we'll all (on PC) be able to try the new Hellraiser chapter.

but not JUST hellraiser
Yes, just Hellraiser. There is no room for reasonable doubt. They literally showed us a scene from the film in the teaser.

So did the bite of 1987 they contradict each other. I'm more focused on the image on the blob.
It might be the madmndella effect so check it out yourself. Tell me if you see the same thing
Unless that's related to the expressions "raise Hell" or "Hell raise", it's not it. There are multiple pieces of evidence, some of which literally spell out the name of the franchise (minus one "R").

you apparently didn't read what I said... let me repeat myself "the tv like the security cameras from fnaf. the... whatever the screen is called when it loses signal... the 1987... all point to fnaf"
when I say "the pants are blue", weirdly enough... I am not talking about how fast the car in the garage can go...

because I pointed out the clues in the teaser also point to something else? how awful of me...

No, because you know it's Hellraiser, like everyone else, but still try to pretend it could be the franchise you want.

Well, they just announced their choice, it's hellraiser. What's funny is that they decided to put 1987 on TV for absolutely no purpose other than to spite FNaF fans. I have no idea why they had to clash 2 franchises with each other and upset one of the community's(FNaF being the bigger one as well), but it is what it is. Hopefully it backfires on them in some manner and they'll never even consider doing something like that again.
Hellraiser came out in 1987. FNAF had literally nothing to do with their decision to tease the year in which the movie was launched. Stop looking for FNAF connections and you'll see reality: the devs did not think about FNAF at all.
-

This is why people become hostile to FNAF and its fandom.
You know it's Hellraiser, there's no room left for any reasonable doubt.
-
Yup, just another confirmation for Hellraiser. There's no reasonable doubt left, but...

And votes.
I am keep getting polls from different content creators and videos but I'll still have the same 10 people talking about how they don't want fnaf in the game.
Okay look at the like to dislike ratio
Why would someone watch a video on a subject they don't care about? If that video ever showed up on my homepage, I'd ignore it completely. No dislike from me, but that wouldn't mean I didn't dislike it.

Looking at his thumbnails alot of them have Springtrap from FNAF & his most viewed video is FNAF in dbd. I'm assuming alot of his viewers are FNAF fans so it's not surprising the FNAF fans would want Springtrap over Jason.
Exactly. This is why these polls by so-called "content creators" are worthless. Their fanbase isn't representative of DbD, it's representative of people who are into their content. Polls that are actually representative of a given population need work.

Yea but the same goes for the people moaning about it. It's always the same people saying fnaf isn't wanted, like you and the same names I see bashing it.
So just because you are loud about fnaf, doesn't mean its not wanted. Look at the polls on YouTube alone.
Yes, the polls made by YouTubers to their audience, who presumably would support said YouTubers on literally any subject, as we've seen countless times in other instances.

If we never leave the forums sure.
But are we gonna pretend springtrap in dbd doesn't trend on Twitter every time the possibility is there?
As for why I think it's just because it's current and everyone knows it where as there's older slasher that while iconic not everyone may have come across.
But are we gonna pretend springtrap in dbd doesn't trend on Twitter every time the possibility is there?
Twitter is infamous for bots designed to push certain topics to "trending". It's the same thing with these brand-new accounts that never posted before or since making FNAF threads.
-
It's not.
Most of the FNAF threads come from a tiny percentage of people, and are often made by new accounts that have never posted anything before and rarely - if ever - post anything again. Furthermore, the responses in those threads are overwhelmingly against the idea.
It's a loud minority, that's all.
-
MMR is killer-specific, which will allow them to understand how to buff individual killers better. Furthermore, how would reworking items and add-ons help the current ranking system?

run good addons.
I can't get behind a system they won't even explain to us. That's my biggest issue.
NO game with an mmr system HIDES IT FROM YOU.
Its ######### ridiculous.
NO game with an mmr system HIDES IT FROM YOU.
That's just 100% false. Most games I've played with MMR hide it from you. They have a generic rank (like DbD's ranks) that they use, usually goes bronze->silver->gold->platinum->diamond, but your MMR? No, that's hidden. They also don't tell you how it works, except in very loose terms (you know, like BHVR did it).

It's not just me saying it though, there have been so many comments from other people saying you are defending them.
In which you do.
Because, like I said, for most people bashing the devs, anyone not bashing the devs must be "defending" them.
Anyway, this is getting off-topic.

There are some things that aren't defendable though. I know that a lot of this community moan about f all, but some things are just unacceptable.
The Devs have let their community down with optimization. There are a lot of people talking about how bad it is.
Just because you don't have the issue, doesn't mean there isn't a issue.
You are in the Devs corner a lot, when it shouldn't be you defending them on certain things like optimization and health updates.
I understand defending the Devs with stupid complaints like tunneling and camping, because people just need to suck it up and grow up.
You defend them even when they're in the wrong.
You're engaging in the same fallacy as everyone else, assuming I'm "defending" them. I share information, that's all. I rarely express my own opinions, except when asked or in the appropriate threads.
-

I understand dbd has a special place in your heart. You've been a part of the community for years.
I understand that you probably think greatly of some of the staff because it's become a part of your life.
However sometimes it does feel like you defend them a lot, you have a bias.
It seems that way because people who bash the devs (or anyone, really) perceive anyone who doesn't engage in the same vitriol as "defending". I literally cannot repeat what the devs said on a subject in a thread bashing them without people saying I'm "white knighting" (remember when white knights were a symbol of chivalry, honesty, and other positive attributes? Pepperidge Farm remembers) the devs.

You know, we are talking about the Dead by Daylight community.
Besides that, you shouldnt even make jokes like this in a forum.
Its just annoying.
Because I know the OP. I can't really get into it due to the forum's rules, but I think if you think about where their name came from, you can extrapolate why I believe this is a joke thread.

Not addressing you. And as in not a fnaf fan, I mean I'm not crazy for it. I like it yes.
I wouldn't be upset if it wasn't fnaf though.
Maybe it's a poor choice of words on my end, however there no need to jump on my response and repeat things I've said before.
Are you a detective?
Pretty sure you've also defended the Devs with the whole optimization issue, while also in another thread, you said you haven't played for a while.
Not addressing you.
I know you weren't. I'm addressing you, though. It's an open forum. You don't have to reply if you don't want to, though.
And as in not a fnaf fan, I mean I'm not crazy for it. I like it yes.

Fair enough.

I was curious because I remembered you made (seemingly) contradictory statements. I could've been wrong, I didn't check the thread.
Are you a detective?
No, but I do like detective games.
Pretty sure you've also defended the Devs with the whole optimization issue, while also in another thread, you said you haven't played for a while.
I haven't played seriously in a while, no. I do play occasionally, despite the lack of a proper matchmaking system, but it's enough to see whether or not the game is optimized.
And "defended the devs" is almost always what people say when I don't echo their denigration of the devs, even if I'm literally just giving out information.

They've tried it so many times you'd think they would realise by now.
Realized that most people want MMR? Yes, they did.
Real talk: How much different do you think MMR is going to be from the current system? It's an expansion of the current system, if anything. It takes more metrics into account, but instead of working off a pip/depip system that we already knows is heavily flawed and can be exploited, it instead gives you a number that's more or less equivalent to what can be called "skill", then matches you with people of similar "skill".

People like you are so stuck up and rude.
Making posts insulting people "delusional"
Yet you call everyone else toxic.

I don't know why people like you get mad at people for beain passionate
I don't mind that they're passionate. I think it's good to like things if they don't harm other people. What I don't like is:
- Nonstop thread spam. Despite people claiming Candyman fans do the same, we do not. We don't open threads damn near every day advertising Candyman. We (mostly I) may comment about it in threads asking what killers/licenses you want, but that's an appropriate context. FNAF fans, on the other hand, constantly spam threads, usually by a new account that was created minutes before opening the thread and hardly - if ever - posts again. I think we can all extrapolate from that.
- Misrepresenting the community's desire for it. They claim FNAF is "very requested" or even say "most of the community wants it", but the fact is, if you actually look at the forums, the reaction is invariably overwhelmingly negative. I know the forums don't represent the community, but I wouldn't trust a streamer's audience to be objective when it comes to voting for/against something the streamer wants.
- Misrepresenting their own community. It is a fact that FNAF was marketed to children (literal kids' merchandise was created), but they can't be honest and just own it. I can admit that Candyman isn't as well-known as Pennywise or even FNAF, so why can't they admit that their game was marketed to kids?
Just a few things that bother me.

I see pips as consolation prizes for when I lose (die or don't get 3+ kills). Does that count?

I picked the last option, but only because it's the only clear "I don't want it" we have. The other options range from "I want it" to "Indifferent". I wouldn't uninstall it.

When I looped the killer for a fair amount of time until he gave up (without injuring me), then the next survivor went down in 15 seconds. When they were hooked, two gens were repaired, so I must've looped the killer for about a minute or so.

Well thats another debate, just because they said that....do you have to take that seriously?
Like who says they are not just trying to get a rise out of the other person? could have just said "cuz your mom hates you" for example and then it suddenly would not be a problem.
I mean I get it and all, but still, I think you would have to set a lot more very defined rules as BHVR if you want people to adhere to them...if that makes any sense, that or just do away with the entire chat.
Wittingly or not, your behavior is remarkably similar (read: identical) to "sealioning".

Pretty sure nobody actually expects the devs to pay them for their suggestions, that's why they're suggestions. Can you imagine the logistical nightmare of trying to make sure anything you implement had never been suggested by anyone before?
-
If you got me in your lobby, you'd get a rank 17 (I think) survivor who's been playing since launch, but takes long breaks due to the game not being fun.
If you got someone else in your lobby, you could get a rank 2 survivor with barely 100 hours who was carried by their 4-man SWF.

I'm just surprised they were stupid enough to flat-out admit it. :/

You're expecting too much from someone who thinks sexual orientation is so important that it should define whether or not someone "deserves" to be harassed.

Well did you read what I typed? is everything I said as examples bannable then? doing anything at all, walking, m1ing, looking around, literally anything at all and then, when asked, claiming it was because someone was homosexual or black or what have you would lead to a ban?
Completely regardless of whatever that action might have been?
What have the devs exactly said, I mean I said in my initial post that I would love for a dev to jump in on this because them saying "Targetting is bannable" is laughably incomplete.
(EDIT, oh I actually did not say that in my initial post but it still stands, I would love for a dev to come in here and set some parameters for this rule)
If you don't know the difference between harassing someone because they're gay, black, whatever, and normal gameplay, I can't help you there. I'm not sure if you're asking these things in bad faith, but your questions and attitude are remarkably similar to people who do act in bad faith when any sort of minority protection is mentioned, so I'll leave it at that.
