Well, hrm. I'm stickler for good sportsmanship. Tea-bagging someone without a purpose, that is just rude. Clicking the light and doing her best to keep you chasing her, well that's just part of the game. I wouldn't take that personal. You are a Red Rank Killer so you don't need my advice on how to play. I got angry the other day because I was the last Survivor (all else dead or disconnected) and the Ghostface downed me and then proceeded to let me bleed out so he could force me to watch him tea-bag for five minutes. That is above and beyond and I would feel like punishing. Someone who has decided to be the bait, well, I'm not sure I would single that person out.
All that being said, camping, face camping, tunneling, slugging, and the Mori are all your call. They are valid tactics (although I tend to use them when I'm trying to win). I'm just saying, in my opinion, the Strode doesn't sound like she was doing anything I wouldn't do if I got that role.
If she wants to win the game, then go and do gens, i won't be able to stop her anyway. Don't just stay around me and spamming flashlights when i'm chasing someone else.
Also, her teammates doesn't look like total potatoes either. So i can almost guarantee she just want to make fun of the killer.
I have been ignoring these survivors for 2 years..

Ok but... What the hell is that Myers build?
I was chilling around, and tried to do the challenge (use predator to chase 4 survivors)
All i want is to chill, and have some chase, and win or lose, i don't care. But that's just a dream in this game i guess..

@Moundshroud said:
I'm not sure I fully understand. You felt it was toxic for her to blast you with the flashlight a lot? Can you elaborate a bit? I don't want to jump conclusions, but I'm not sure what the problem is with a Strode using one of her Perks OoO and a flashlight?
Ok. At start, she run towards the center of the map, and try to gain attention probably because i'm undetectable. Probably a bad choice for her i guess, because if it's ghostface, she's doomed. Maybe she did this for to attract attention away from her teammates.
Obviously i left her, and then go for her starting position to catch other survivors.
Then, i got into T2, and try to chase the one who i stalked. Then mysteriously i lost her track at shack, where scratch marks ends for no reason. Not in the locker either. I'm not mad at this, as i even forgot who i stalked (a female survivor)
So i decide to pay the OoO user a visit, because she was doing gens at farthest location, and i have nowhere to go (no information perks are equipped). The moment i got near like 30 m away, she T-bags, and spamming flashlights.
Obviously i stalked and ignored her, and started to chase the other one who was with her. I forgot the details, but the general things she did was spamming flashlights at distance like 10 m away, trying to gain my attention.
The moment i tried to get close, she ran straight line for safe loops. T-bag at every pallet, spamming flashlights in between loops when she knows she'll make it.
Come on, i know i'm playing m1 killer, and got extremely small terror radius that you can abuse. Fine, abuse it, but can she not be a toxic little brat and try to annoy me? I have been dealing with so many OoO users before, and i don't really care about it if they don't try to actively seek to annoy killer. That's why at this point i decided that she needs to die.
At one point she did get unhooked, but you know what she did? Spamming even more flashlights, because she has BT, DS and UB. So i slugged her.
Then, for some reason, someone else came in and throw a pallet at that area. So i chase them off, and she uses UB to get up when i'm at the other side of pallet. More flashlight clicking, and i downed her in 10 secs.
Gens were done at this point, so i hooked her and camp. For some reason, i grabbed both survivors that tried to rescue her. Then she died, and i carry the rest to exit gate. No reason to kill them as they're not toxic
If i was truly toxic, i won't even carry the rest to exit gate when i can hook them.

It's no difference. You just think it's punishment all for what? You only added to the toxicity.
I've had killers do that to me for the silliest reasons, one being that they were looped all game by me.
If anything you were dragged down to their level so I'm not sure there's any lesson here other than to not let people get to you on such a personal level.
IMO punish toxicity with toxicity is justified. Remember the first law exist in this world? It's based on this one rule "an eye for an eye"
And i can assure you i won't be toxic against someone who outplayed me. In fact, i always send a gg regardless the match result. Hell, i even send those to toxic SWF before..

I don't like face campers and I don't like face camping but today I did it. There was a survivor using speed hacks and I still got him onto the hook. Took him a while to just escape via another hack.
I hate camping too, but i hate toxic behavior even more. So i need to do what must be done
-
You don't. Seriously, if the users are smart, you can't counter it. They'll run the moment you're closing in, and they'll fix gen when you're away. Either way you're in lose-lose situation.
It's like fixing gens in front of your face, and you can't really do anything about it. That's why OoO really needs to go.
(Unless you're god nurse or spirit or stealth killers, you can't counter them)

@Pizzaman said:
Do you feel relieved, now that you have shared that information with your peergroup?
Of course. Everyone here agrees that this game has many toxic people. So i share this just to tell people that i'm glad and proud of myself to be one of the people that punishes these kind of behaviors.
-
@A_Skinny_Legend said:
Why did you carry the rest to the gate?
Actually only that laurie is toxic, the rest are fine. So the reason i let the rest go is to piss off that laurie more :) there's no reason to punish people for just teaming with a toxic survivor, even if they're friends.
I want to show her that i don't care about winning. I want to show her that this camping is not for any other reason, but to make sure she dies.

When you're not in the dreamworld he's a basic m1 killer...that can teleport across the map and that is invisible until he's near you :P Realistically though, you're going to spend most of the match asleep because you fall asleep very quickly against him and waking up is hard to do.
If you view Freddy as balanced that's fine, but my point is that he should be nerfed regardless if he's well above average compared to other killers. The only real way to maximize game balance is to minimize the gap between the strongest and weakest killers, then to buff the survivor or killer side overall so that average killers are at a good level of strength. If average killers are balanced and the gap between the best and worst killers is small, all killers should be reasonably well balanced.
Sleep tight. Look out for Freddy :D
I think the way to maximize game balance is to buff solos to SWF level, and buff all killers. Otherwise it will NEVER be balanced

she as of now is the only killer in the game that gives no feedback which makes her especially demoralizing to play against.
guessing right or wrong is not good gameplay if it was i wouldve not spent my money on this game and just flipped a quarter over and over for entertainment
As survivor, you are almost guarantee that you have upper hand against every single killer i mentioned in chase.
Some loops are literally unmindgameable with those killers, and they are forced waste a lot of time just to catch up. IMO this is the quite the same as spirit, just in reverse.
So don't you think they need more help, and needs to be at higher priority?

I don't know if you know how influent survivors can be into these kinds of stuff. Think about legion nerf, survivors know they're the power role, hence they can keep asking for nerfs and eventually get their prize.
I know.. i have been here for more than 2 years.. it's just make me sad that there are so many posts about nerfing spirit just after billy rework, and so few people actually understand that weaker killers should have higher priority than a single stronger killers...

Nicely or not, this is a forum, and you can't just say "Oh hey guys, dont complain about spirit, thx :)"
You know they're not going to, and as I said, only cause some killers are weak, does not deny the fact that spirit is broken.
Or otherwise, survivors have 68 perks, and 57 are usseles, does that deny the fact that DS/UB is broken? No.
About perks.. i still don't understand why they're so slow in changing perks.. some perks just need some small tweak, and they're decent..
Compare to changing killers' power, it's far more easy to change the perks...

You really should try him some more, he is very fun to play... and if you corner a dumb survivor in such a way that he gets stuck, you can throw spamming bottles at him (which is clown own t-bag)
I would like to... when killers have different skill rating...
But right now, playing as clown is like wanting to lose the game and be bullied to oblivion (i'm in red rank so..)
I wouldn't mind if i lose the game. But i can't stand being bullied by survivors that i am sure i can defeat with other killers. I can't stand when i can't punish their arrogant ego.
-
@Zeus said:
Don't blame the killers. Every time they try and play a different killer to not make it annoying for the survivors, they get t-bagged and pointed at and bullied and BM'd. It's the survivor's own doing.
Basically this.
I remembered when i just unlocked clown, and i'm just learning him for the first time. Know what survivors did? T-bag, flashlight clicking, etc.
Obviously i don't get any kill. Got called a baby killer in the end. That's why i never touch clown again.

@Blueberry said:
This is a prime example of why when people say all those survivor second chance perks are highly situational and don't activate often are just being disingenuous or simply not understanding the strength of the perks.
Whether they actually activate or not regardless, they are still the strongest perks in the game. This is because they force the killer to play in a way that loses him the game against good survivors. It's a lose/lose scenario.
You play the way that doesn't activate any of them, essentially making you play 1 hooking each survivor one at a time taking turns which is simply non viable entirely against good survivors.
OR
You eat the DS, the Unbreakable, the BT etc and lose because you wasted time in a chase that gained you nothing while the other survivors are pumping out gens.
Against good survivors you have to do some variation of either tunneling, soft camping, or slugging if you want to win and aren't on one of the top tier killers, that's just facts. Of which all the second chance perks force the killer to do none.
On top of...he has to play around the possibility you are running all these perks...even if you aren't running them. So just the fact of these perks simply existing is giving the survivors tons of value whether they actually have them for not.
If the killer played completely "fair", none of these perks activated and the survivor team still lost, they were bad or just played terribly that game.
Basically this. Couldn't agree more.
I wouldn't mind playing fairly if the game is more fair to both sides. Play "fairly" now as killer is like asking me to lose the game on purpose, especially when playing as low tier killers.
(With that said, i still play it fairly because i know it's the game's fault, not survivors who just using the perks and items)

I would agree with this if the range extending add ons didn't exist. Perhaps they are dodgeable. But in my experience even in sub-50 ms lobbies, if you aren't on the very edge of the projectile beam before the hitbox appears, you cannot possibly get clear in time.
Range add-ons are good, but there's a downside. The range attack needs extra time to travel that far. So if you have enough distance, you can actually fake the pallet or window because he needs to time it faster.
If he only inputs the attack once you're start vaulting, the attack won't reach in time.
Also, running in straight line in open field is a good counter to him.
-
Toxicity is from the player. Builds itself doesn't make you toxic.
-
Doesn't work every time though. You need to be in range of his ranged attack for that scenario to happen.
When i play as him, some survivors are clever enough to maintain distance outside of my range attack, forcing me to use range attack in loops without them stuck in animation.
So i think this is the counterplay. Doesn't work every time, but it is a counterplay nevertheless

so killers are allowed to kill, but survivors aren’t allowed to survive? Even in F13 you have pocket knives.
you guys talk like 60 seconds is the end of the world. It’s an issue if you’re planning on tunneling people out of the game. That’s it. You overblow the effect of DS in dramatic fashion
Do you know who eats DS the most?
1.Clueless non red rank tunnelling killer that don't know DS exist
2. Completely fair killer that snowballs hard, just to get his pressure nullified by DS after chasing, downing and hooking other survivors in between
High rank killers who really want to tunnel don't eat DS. They slug you, and left you on the ground until it expires
And where did you get this survivor aren't allowed to survive from? I simply state that DS is overtuned and has too much benefit for just a perk. It doesn't even need to be used. A mere existence of it in the game has already make killers to respect it.
Imagine ruin and surveillance are bundled as a single perk. It provides gen defend and information with just one perk. This is what DS is currently
-
@EuphoricBliss35 said:
can we stop with these threads? DS has never been an anti tunnel perk. In its current state, it functions as such secondarily. DS originally was a get out of jail free card. It could be triggered whenever you wanted to use it, either after the first or second hook. Killers had to “dribble” players to a hook and hope they were close enough. All while survivors had instaheal medkits. Try vs’ing an actual 4 man SWF all running DS and all with instaheal medkits.
And you all think this nerfed version of DS is problematic? It’s potentially active for no more than 120 seconds. Imagine it being active always.
DS is fine where it is. It’s in the game for a reason. So if DS gets changed, something else will follow to keep the game balanced (60 sec gens?). Be careful what you complain about. Learn how to play vs DS is my advice
Oh ho.. if it's not designed as just an anti-tunnel perk, then it's having too much benefit for just one perk.
Not to mention killers has to respect it every time when there is an obsession even no one uses it.
One perk should not have this much effect on a game. It's too much currently.
-
@PlagueVomit101 said:
Survivors get one DS and then that’s it. Killers have incredibly strong perks as well. Either take the DS or slug them and move on.
1 DS is not a problem. 4 DS is. As killer, you can afford to eat every DS as this is the good way to lose the game.
Pair with unbreakable it's even more bs.

I'm not a hag main, but i can give you some tips to become aggressive.
First, use STBFL. Shorter cooldown means shorter time between each teleport. It's very good on hag.
Second, don't just trap around gens. Trap loops. Trap the pathway between tiles where survivors will mostly run. Personally i never trap gens.
Third, no need to find the best 3 gens to defend. Spread out your traps, and you'll profit.
And a general tip, don't place your trap at pallet. Place it around the loop. Most of the time they won't expect it. (Almost every time)
With these i think you can down survivors very fast. I did this on ormond where they got flashlights. They almost never have the chance to disarm my trap because my traps are so random. It ended in 4k, but 4 gens did get done.
While slowdown perks are good, i don't use them as i don't really "defend" gens.

unmindgameable loops are a problem that should be fixed or mitigated as much as possible, I agree. Dead Hard saves you from one 50/50 sure, but sprint burst and lithe can take you to an unmindgameable loop and BL gives you extra options where you wouldn't have any. DH is no better than any other exhaustion perk.
Agree. Those exhaustion perks are also literally uncounterable as m1 killer.
You cannot stop sprint burst and lithe and to some extend, DH used in loops for distance.
And these are only having 40 secs cooldown.. so if i drop the chase, 90 % of the time when i see the same survivors again, they get it back already

Sure, play as you like and when you prefere to ruin others experience, then it is the way you want to play the game - it is not against the rules. But please dont wonder when you get called out for it.
Stand for it what you are: A tunneler who does not care for anybody else but himself. Be proud of it.
Personally If i see survivors unhook on my face as PH, i'm downing the unhooked guy and send him to cage, and start chasing the unhooker.
This is entirely survivor's fault, and you can't call me tunneller. Blame the guy who unhooks you in my face.
DS are supposed to be antitunnel, but currently it's a BS perk that rewards survivors for making bad plays.
-
@Waffleyumboy said:
That's a really fancy way of saying "I don't know how mind games work, but I'm gonna explain them anyway!"
Mind games involve guessing from both players, Spirit involves guessing from the survivor while she retains all the tools she needs to gain an advantage. Killers don't rely on survivors making mistakes to get downs, they take chances with 50/50s in order to have a shot at ending the chase early. Otherwise they have to use their power to close the chase gap and prevent the survivor from extending it indefinitely. This is objectively how chases work, you have no argument here so I don't expect you to respond. If you do respond, try not to resort to name calling too fast, that would be boring and predictable.
Just a fact, there are many loops that are literally unmindgameable. In those situations survivors are having the complete upper hand every single time against m1 killer.
This is the same as spirit, just in reverse. As killer you have no choice but to waste time to brute force it.
Even if survivor makes a mistake, dead hard will always save them. And i think these situations are far more common than facing a spirit.

Ah so don't get annoyed when survivors bring keys and genrush with DS/Unbreakable because it's their job to survive.
Or remember other people play this game and we should, ya know, be decent human beings to them.
People are not mad with survivors that uses those items and perks.
There's nothing wrong with the player who uses the best thing in the game. We are blaming the game.

Playing against laggy survivors is a pain in the ass. They teleport all over the place, and they can easily abuse it too. I have seen survivors litterally run in one direction for 5 seconds, then disappear and teleport 20 metres behind. I have had survivors time their lagswitch in a way that they become litterally unhookable. As soon as you press to hook, you would continue to strafe left and right, and after a few tries the survivor would just jump off and run away. Often they run No Mither so you cant even slug them either.
Do the developers have any plans to fix that too? Add a serverside validation for survivor movement? Make it so that picking up and hooking does not require survivor-client confirmation?
For those who don't know what I am talking about, Truetalent had a video some weeks ago with a lagswitching survivor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_Cj3ZVJVxQ
Yes i have experienced this too. It's extremely frustrating to versus against these survivors.

It's not that pc killers are sweaty.
