  • Remove nurse for the same amount of time and it's a deal.

This game was so much more enjoyable when nurse was disabled for several weeks not long ago.

  • Agreed. This needs to be a QOL change. It's such a waste of time and not fun at all to fill out each bloodweb.

I can't even dm you on here KEKW.

ALSO if I can kill high level survivors, that doesn't mean blight is op, it means I actually know what I'm doing with him

You, yourself said that you can kill these high level survivors easily, easily getting 4ks. In what world is that balance? I know the concensus about killer players on this forum is that they expect easy 4k's, and I can see why after seeing posts from nurse and Blight players.

Can't admit they are playing on easy mode (which doesn't mean that those 2 killers are easy to play...)

There are many other things that are broken in this game. It is not a very well balanced game. But this thread is about Blight.

I know it can be hard to recognize how much is skill and how much is inate overpoweredness allowing for much easier games, but when you are playing sweaty nurse/Blight with their best addons, you are playing on easy mode.

Many of these survivor players you are playing against have thousands of hours in the game. At least, that is the case for the best survivor players on my server. They all know how to play against every killer, and yet you, a relatively inexperienced (your play time isn't very much at this point in the game's life), are able to win easily. And, the thing is, I believe you are facing the players you say you are, and winning, because of the insane advantage playing Blight the way you do gives.

So, yeah, I will continue to think you are a troll and I've wasted my time writing this, because it is impossible to have played Blight for as long as you have and not recognize how broken he is when he stacks his many busted addons.

I literally have played against survivors who are literally KNOWN to be some of the best of the best. I am high MMR, and I can get 4ks easily. I know what I am doing with Blight. His addons are fine. (Besides alc Ring)

I know nothing about the players on your server (NA?).

But what you just said sort of works against you, doesn't it??

Playing against survivors who are known to be the best, yet you can "easily" get 4ks with Blight. Doesn't that mean you are either so much better than the best survivors, or Blight is broken, overtuned, OP, however you want to say it?

    Yeah..

Anyways, I'm assuming you can't prove that know what you are talking about. Me: 6k hours on the Korean server. Been in several tournaments. Well-known, for my killer, much more than my survivor. Been asked to help other tournament teams practice by playing killer for them. I know what i'm talking about when it comes to balance. Many other busted things in the game I have written forum posts about, and most got fixed. Blight will be the same.

If you want proof, dm me for my twitch name.

  • The only reason nurse hasn't been nerfed is because of SWF. She is busted and anyone not super biased knows it. Nurse trumps SWF which trump most other killers which trump solos.

The same can not be said for SWF. Everyone knows it is busted, too. But nurse being in the game is not why SWF has not be nerfed. There is no relation there. SWF hasn't been nerfed because the devs need groups to play together.

Nurse not being not nerfed is not a concession that she is balanced. This is beyond silly.

Rather than balancing the game by nerfing SWF AND Nurse closer to solo levels (power creep is disgusting right now), they are twiddling their thumbs giving empty promises of balance.

  • Nurse mains in here desperately trying to keep nurse OP to keep getting easy wins.

The reason I don't play SWF, and the reason I almost never play nurse is they are both busted. Where is the fun in playing a game where you have a huge advantage? Just play a single player game if you want to win despite putting in much less effort than the other team/player.

When I play nurse I don't even use her purple range addon (don't know the name of it in english) because it feels like cheating.

I have to wonder if nurse mains care about how unfair the solo queue vs nurse matchup is, especially when 95 percent of nurses play as if every game is against a full, sweaty SWF.

Yeah, everyone knows SWF is broken when it is 3-4 players in a group. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Just like anyone who says nurse isn't broken is wrong.

This game should strive to be more balanced, not satisfy the power fantasy that so many players seem to want.

  • Fairly obvious that OP is just a troll.

"His power in general is easily counterable"

    Come on, now.

Just another low mmr Blight/Nurse user scared that if the OP addons get nerfed then he/she will have to actually play better than equally skilled opponents rather than relying on busted addons/mechanics for easy wins.

  • Making it so the killer can't grab a survivor trying to make a save if that survivor is full health would alleviate some of the problems with camping.

Right now most killers just camp the first hook to try to force the second hook state. But grabbing is too easy, so it forces all the survivors to come make the save which can mean the game can be basically over if the killer decides to first hook camp against solo queue survivors.

  • Nurse is for players who aren't interested in playing a balanced game for both sides.

It is unfortunate that there are so many things like that in this game. It really strips away the potential from this game. Old moris, old legion, old and current Nurse, Blight running any of his several busted addons, SWF, terribly balanced maps (for both sides), old keys, some boon totem spots, Dead hard (according to the forums, even though high level players all know sprint burst will just take its spot If DH is nerfed.)

This game can't ever be fully balanced because it is a 4v1 game. But it doesn't have to be as bad as it is right now. It has definitely gotten better, but I feel like that is luck on the devs part more than understanding game balance, otherwise moris and keys would have been nerfed years before they were?

A player/side shouldn't be able to decide that he/she will win the round basically before it has started, but that is what is possible if you are playing nurse.

Also quite disappointing is seeing all these posters who probably aren't too great at nurse yet, defending her because they don't know what she is capable of yet. Yes, yes, I know. "If there is SWF then nurse should be in the game." Both are super busted. Does that mean solo players have to suffer, facing nurses with slow-down builds who tunnel first hook to death at 5 gens? Super common on my server (Korean server).

  • Good killers know that the problem is not Dead hard. Dead hard contributes to the already-low skill requirement in this game. I have probably more time (many thousands of hours and several tournaments, a streamer too, you can ask for my stream profile in a DM if you want) on killer than any of the posters in this thread, and I can speak for killers who actually know what they are talking about when I say that the issue is not dead hard.

The issue is gen times (especially when doing a gen with a fellow survivor), the fact that the killer can't know for sure if they are facing solo survivors or SWF, the irritably terrible randomness of maps (sometimes you get a map where it is impossible to lose as killer, sometimes it is impossible to win...why is there not a standard yet....?). I know it is mentioned in the video, but sprint burst is truly just as aggrivating to deal with as dead hard. If dead hard is nerfed then all the people in this thread bemoaning Dead hard will be shocked at how little changes if Dead hard is the only thing that changes.

Sorry, but if you listen to this video you are truly missing the forest for the trees.

  • In the midst of my rant I forgot to write a solution:

    1) bring nurse and Blight back to earth.

    2) show killers how many players are in a group in the Lobby screen

    3) remove grabs on healthy survivors trying to save hooked survivors (this will help game health so much). It will nerf killers in the end game though, so maybe give killers extra speed boost (like noed with no instadown) in the end game? I dont know

    4) reduce generator speed when several survivors are doing gens together. How the devs can think the current multi-survivor gen speed is okay is baffling

    5) to battle against killers who only want to tunnel out the first survivor every game, have the entity nerf the killer in some way if the first three hooks are all on the same survivor. The entity wants the killer to toy with the survivor, so by hard tunneling out the first survivor the killer sees would, at least lore-wise, result in a punishment to the killer by the entity.

  • Dbd would be a pretty good party game if not for that if either side wants to they can make the game supremely unfun for the other side.

Want to win as survivor? Play SWF. Enough said, really.

Want to win as killer? It isn't as hard as the doom and gloom killer-sided forum posters on this site would have you believe. The obvious first choice is play an overpowered killer (yes, yes, I know. It's the addons that are OP). Play Blight or nurse and you don't have to actually be better than the survivor you are facing in order to win.

Not one of those killers? Then hard camp/tunnel the first survivor you catch until death, only going far enough away from the first hook to protect the closest generators, always staying close to the first hook. Don't think so? Then you don't know "high mmr game play" and "tournament game play".

It really is so sad that this is what the best strategy is.

For killer it is to hard tunnel the first player you see, essentially making it a 1v1 game from the very beginning. Super, super unfun.

But, as a killer if you don't do that against equally high-skilled survivors then you will get stomped.

Chases are where the skill in this game is, but right now generator speeds are too fast, camping and tunneling too strong, so if either side wants to play "well", then they both must use these super skilless strategies.

Both sides are rewarded for skilless gameplay. As survivor the best strategy is to play as safe as possible in a chase so you prolong the first chase, because if you get hooked first you are getting killed first.

As killer the best strategy is to commit to only one chase: the first one, and then make sure that first player is killed, while relying on 3-4 slowdown perks to make sure the remaining 3 survivors can't escape after.

I don't blame the players of either side. They are just trying to win in a game where if you try to play a game that is fun and skilled for both sides you will just end up getting rocked.

  • All the people complaining about Dead hard are so short-sighted.

At high mmr sprint burst and Dead hard are equally powerful. The reason Dead hard is used more is because it is an active ability, thus more fun.

If Dead hard gets nerfed everyone will just switch to sprint burst which is equally powerful.

At lower mmr killers can easily take advantage of survivors who aren't efficient in their use of Dead hard.

Like other people have said, too. The already too-powerful-against-solo-queue nurse and Blight would need to be nerfed if Dead hard was nerfed. Would that be alright?

If the devs are truly willing to nerf Dead hard, then they better be willing to balance the entire game from its core. But we already know they won't do that.

  • @Config said:

Well u must be a 5000 hours Roblox streamer then, cause if u think that u can win a match by chosing a killer u are wrong, both sides have incredible broken things, survs can bring 4 bnps and make the killer game miserable, and killer can use omega blink nurse tunneling the first people out of game with 5 gens, blight and nurse are the only 2 viable killer against a good swf, as YOU said, low killer needs to tunel, and camp... So why are u complaining about killer that don't? When I'm playing nurse and I'm under control of the match I try to make all the 12 hooks, but if I'm playing trapper I usually don't have this controll if I can't take someone out of the game earlyer, the solution is not nerfing blight or spirit (nurse is actually busted I do agree), is making other killer more viable and removing perks that hurt low tier killer even more, such as coh, a nurse can lead with that... But what about a ghost face or a trapper?

I feel like we are speaking about different things. The core gameplay has deteriorated to its end point.

The best strategy for a low-tier killer right now is to hard camp/tunnel the first hook. Even more of a problem, however, is that strategy is still the best when you are playing a top-tier killer too.

You mention that you deliberately go for 12 hooks. That's admirable. I do, too. It's more fun and challenging. But it is not the "best" way to play killer. Since the nurse bug-fix patch which amazingly buffed her, every killer has been a nurse or Blight with the strongest addons and playing in that way.

When the best strategy is also the easiest, that becomes a problem. Isn't that why Freddy was nerfed? Too easy for too high a reward.

When I play killer I don't want to have to decide between doing something skilless and being rewarded for it with 4ks more often, or consistently winning chases but not being rewarded because the generators are too fast for the killer to play that way and still win against equally skilled opponents.

So, I guess my biggest concern about this game right now is that the entire gameplay loop has devolved into a skilless, boring game of find the first player every game and camp/tunnel them to death.

I am not blaming killer players.

I am not blaming survivor players.

Both are just doing what will give them the best chance to escape, get a 4k or whatever.

The devs need to recognize how badly the balance of this game has devolved. Until they bring all four groups (SWF, top tier killers, low tier killers, solo queue) closer in balance, everyone will continue to be happy with game balance.

  • Seeing the game as survivor sided or killer sided is looking at it too simply.

This is an asymetrical game. It can never be as simple as "this one team is stronger than the other team".

Rather than two, I'd say there are around four groups.

Top tier killers and SWF are stronger than lower tier killers and solo queue.

A Blight or nurse with the strongest addons and willing to play "dirty" is going to win the vast majority of their games. They are extremely overpowered compared to lower tier killers and solo queue survivors.

An SWF is the same. Very imbalanced when up against the bottom two groups.

They should either nerf the top two groups (swf and top tier killers) or buff the bottom two groups (solo queue and low tier killers).

People saying "NERF SURVIVORS!", or even the ones saying "NERF KILLERS!" just don't get it. Both sides have enough overpowered and underpowered parts to them that they need to be viewed as different groups entirely.

  • People play Nurse and Blight with full slowdown perks and their busted addons because they are playing this game for the power fantasy. They want to roll each game with a 4k. To them, it doesn't matter if that particular match is balanced or fun for the other side. It is the exact same as a full try-hard SWF bringing full loadouts and stomping the killer. Sure, it is in the game, so do whatever you want. But these players use these things with full knowledge just how broken they are.

I play other killers because it actually feels like I earned something after a win with another killer.

I don't know why Huntress was listed as a top 3 killer above, though. Do people believe she is anywhere near Blight or Nurse?

By the way, Billy still not being fixed, and wraith being nerfed while Nurse and Blight still sit atop their throne is a travesty of game balance. Billy (not insta-saw) required much more skill than Blight does, but Blight gets more reward than Billy (not insta-saw) did. It's quite absurd.

Or you could just cleanse bones and stop complaining about an easily avoidable perk. If you get hit by it, it's you and your teams fault for just slamming through gens. Play the whole game, not part of it.

Nah, I'm tired of this reasoning.

Current meta that is growing in popularity: Killer hard camps/tunnels first hooked player to death with three gen slowing perks and NOED. If the other 3 survivors pop gens as fast as possible they get hit with NOED. If they first get totems then there are too many gens left when that first camped/tunneled player dies. If they try to trade hooks, then the killer just plays the grab game. Too bad killer collision has been increased so it is harder for even 2 survivors to save the one on the hook without getting grabbed.

This kind of skilless gameplay is rewarded. Maybe those killer players should take your advice and "play the whole game, not part of it". There is more to the game than standing next to the hook and relying on NOED.

  • Sigh...the people complaining about Dead Hard should use that time to improve their MMR. As a player with thousands of hours in the game (about 50 percent of that killer), I can say with certainty that you killer players don't want 4 sprint bursts instead of 4 Dead hard. And that is what is going to happen if there is something that is viewed as a nerf to Dead hard by the playerbase.

The reason Dead hard is used more than sprint burst is not because it is more powerful, but because it is more fun.

99'ing a sprint burst is super easy, and that can easily become the new meta. You killer players think you don't have enough time in a match to get downs now? Just wait until every time you try to start a chase the survivor sprints super far away to the safest area of the map.

Stop whining about Dead hard, unless you want even more frustrating sprint burst only games. Use that time to practice your killer gameplay. At your low Mmr it is easy enough to force easy Dead hard mistakes, anyways.

  • The balance team allowed the game to get this way.

The killer player mindset is that every game is an SWF. Which, I mean, fair enough. The released player stats said that like 50 percent of survivors are solo, 50 percent some kind of SWF if I remember correctly. So the killer player, having experienced many difficult games, is going to go with the easiest and best strategy (which Unfortunately right now is loading up on gen slow perks and camping the first hook). Sucks that it takes no skill to do that, but it is definitely the best strategy when taking into account effort put in. You have to do far fewer chases, but still get rewarded with hits and downs if you just protect the first hook and immediately surrounding gens.

No skill, medium to high reward.

Constantly finding new chases and winning each one as killer? Requires much more skill, but super high risk, very low to high reward.

On the other hand, survivor game play these days is a joke (if you are solo). Every game has a killer playing the same way, described above. It feels like every game is a 1v1 between the killer and the first player hooked. If you can do gens fast enough, before the first player dies, you may have a chance of escape. If you don't, and one of the many gen slowing perks is still active, you die. That's every solo queue game recently. It is skilless and boring, but that is the meta the devs allowed to happen.

But of course, the super "complex" MMR system only rewards kills and deaths, so this is the meta.

I don't think the devs care much though, they seem to be doing well enough by just constantly selling new skins, but if they care even a little about game health/fun then they will buff chase rewards for killers, nerf camping rewards, buff solo queue, nerf SWF, buff low tier killers, nerf high tier killers, change the multiple maps that are bad for each side. But that's too much to do, so Let's make more skins!

  • The unfortunate truth is that the balance team has no idea what they are doing.

Just look at what they have done to Billy, Deathslinger, Twins, Spirit. They had no idea how to fix them so they just ruined each one in their own special way.

The only players who don't think Blight's best addons are busted are players who struggle to do well even with those busted addons.

  • Seems pretty obvious from this thread that many players, myself included, are tired of waiting for a change to the grind. A change has been needed desperately for at least a year or two.

It has been continuously talked about on these forums how bad the grind is for a long time.

I hope the change is as good as advertised when it comes, but leaving it this long with only minor changes (monthly rewards, bp events more often) really shows a lack of understanding of just how offputting the current grind is. I have thousands of hours in the game now, but if I was a new player I would take one look at the grind and find a different game. Absolutely.

If I might make a suggestion: make spending bloodpoints less of a chore. When I have all the perks for a character, and just need to get addons I don't want to waste all my time on bloodweb after bloodweb. If you could add a button that instantly and randomly fills out the current bloodweb that would definitely help the grind 'feel better'.

  • Received a message from a mod asking not to post clips without the names blurred so as to not name/shame. Perfectly understandable.

But I really just want an acknowledgement about this issue.

I've reported my share of hack users through the ingame tool, and also with clips. But they just keep coming. It is ruining countless games on the Korean server. If there wasn't a language divide, there would be much more talk of this here.

At the very least, please consider disabling the pig addon that puts a trap on everyone's head at the start of the match. It is being exploited by these hack users so much.

  • Because it is not true, at least in this situation. These hackers are all coming to the Korean server from a very, very large country to the west of Korea. I'm sure you can guess which one.

Of course, I have met a number of players who used hacks who were Korean, but if those were the only hack users I had met in this game, I would not have felt the need to post because the frequency of meeting them is very low.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/302019/korean-server-is-being-destroyed-by-hackers

I think that's every server, my friend. The best advice I can offer until they find a better solution. Is check profiles. If they're private. Dodge them

If I turn on an NA stream or Euro stream I will rarely see a hacker. It is most definitely not on every server.

The majority of these hackers are killers. How do you suggest I dodge the killer before even having the option of seeing the profile?

As for VPN'ing, yes, that is always an option, but the reason I am writing here is so that the devs, if for some inexplicable reason are not aware of this hacking issue, can do something to fix it. A whole server has been held hostage for months now.

The small change of disabling that pig addon would alleviate so many of the issues in the mean time.

  • While there have been a few Korean hackers in this game, the cast majority come from a country nearby Korea which will not be named. I'm sure you can guess which country, though.

  • There isn't a killer vs survivor problem. The main balance in this game is average killer + average solo survivor vs. SWF + top tier killer. The latter are far superior to the former.

    SWF stomps average killer.

Top tier killer stomps average survivor.

Whether solo survivor or average killer is better is entirely dependent on map/tile placement/how sweaty the killer is willing to play.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

If you're going against a hacker isn't dying instantly to the traps a good thing?

And when the next game is a hacker? And the game after that? I faced 3 hackers in a row today. 1st and 3rd were the same account. Second was different.

Please don't miss the forest for the trees.

  • Base Blight is stronger than Base Billy was pre-nerf.

A Blight using his strongest addons is stronger than a Billy (pre-nerf) using his strongest addons.

    Similar skill ceiling.

The devs nerf Billy, and then create a killer stronger than he ever was. If that doesn't tell you anything about the DBD balance team, I don't know what will.

I don't think Base Blight needs a nerf, but his three strongest addons need to be looked at (2 Red addons and purple ring).

  • In the grand scheme of things, this game isn't Killer vs Survivor.

It is top tier killer (nurse blight spirit) and SWF at the top, and average killer + solo queue survivor at the bottom.

If good killer players want to dominate the vast majority of their games they can choose a top tier killer with meta perks and the best addons.

If good survivor players want to dominate the majority of their games they can join their friend(s) and give themselves a huge advantage.

Framing it as killer vs survivor does nothing to help the actual balance issue, which is that the top 2 groups (top tier killer and SWF) so greatly outperform the bottom 2 groups (average killer and solo queue survivor).

  • I've been saying this for a while. The only time I ever see map offerings used is when one side wants to skew the balance too far in their favor.

  • Blight. Base is fine. His two Red addons and the purple addon that gives you back your charge after a successful hit are too strong.

If those three addons are altered I think he will be (while still very powerful) much more fun and fair to go against.

Huntress. Her one-shot addon change was just lazy. I am a Huntress main. I was so disapointed when they changed it because I was expecting something fun. Give something creative, not an addon that sucks the fun out of the game if the addon is in play. Just to clarify, i am happy it was changed, but think it could have been made much, much more fun.

I actually thought of Bamboozle, but I honestly don't think it would help as there are two windows easily accessible, and the second I go through one they can just go through the other or down the stairs.

It was one of those 'wait, what could I have done?' moments.

It may not seem like much, but the extra vault speed plus the blocking of one window makes a world of difference.

Even them knowing you have bamboozle on that map will make them scared to go to that house, because they know they will soon be going to the basement.

Against skilled killers most survivors will avoid going there because it can lead to a snowball if the survivor is hooked in the basement, even if the map is survivor-sided.

  • Use your left mouse to do an attack when dropping down from the roof (and move your camera in the direction you want to go). It is faster to drop down that way. You'll catch them eventually.

If you have bamboozle (which you should always be running on Bubba), then it shouldn't take long to catch them if you path correctly.

  • Yikes. So much misinformation in this thread.

Coming from rank 1 survivor and killer on the Korean server I can emphatically say that if you don't have self care or a medkit, your team is toast. (Talking about solo queue of course. Doesn't matter what perks you use in an SWF.)

Taking a medkit instead of selfcare is fine, but on this server if too many survivors have items, you are bound to go up against a spirit, nurse or blight using super strong addons.

Sorry to say, but if you don't know how good self-care is when it is used well, you probably aren't used to facing good killers.

Everyone has met that brown rank claudette who heals in the corner after every hit...but if those are the kinds of survivors you meet every game, well...you might be as much of a problem as that claudette.

  • The grind is real. Even if they changed each perk to having only one level instead of three, it would still be a grind. It's actually absurd that they haven't at least done that.

  • I think this is the first list I've seen that I haven't thought "this person doesn't even play DBD"

A few small things I would change - I'd much sooner put Plague in C tier than A tier. She has been really overestimated lately. And Trickster is still super low tier.

Simply putting Twins in a high tier means you actually understand the game and are an actual red rank player.

  • It's always amusing seeing what the people on these forums think of particular killers. I have a feeling most of them don't actually play, and just parrot what they have read in other threads?

Twins is high B, low-mid A tier after this change. Solidly A tier before this nerf.

She is one of the most oppressive killers to go against, at red ranks, when played by a good killer player.

Everyone on the Korean server knows this fact. It's strange that the people on this forum keep insisting that Twins are low tier. Like, honestly makes me wonder if I'm playing the same game as these people.

Twins just need to be reworked. They aren't fun to go against when a skilled red rank player plays them.

  • As a Huntress main this is an extremely disappointing patch. I was expecting the devs to have at least some creativity and turn iri head into something fun, like for every hatchet hit you get a hatchet refund, or passively reloading hatchets, but no..it is the same super unfun add on, now with a limitation. Great job...

I was sort of expecting it, though. After they left clown's one-shot add on in, I had a feeling they would do the same with iri heads.

The people who use those add-ons will simply play exactly the same...camp first hook till death. Just super unfun.

Also, removing the aura-reading potion for Huntress (her purple add on)...why? I don't think the devs realize what makes their game fun.

Positive: fast flying hatchets are decent, nerfing exhaustion addon

  • The bigger issue is matchmaking. So many killer players who should be purple or green rank, have ranked up to red and expect to hang with the good survivors because they have the red rank symbol next to their name. For real rank 1 red rank killers, the game is a breeze lately.

  • What's with so many people putting Twins so low? I feel like when Twins came out one person underestimated them greatly and put them low on a tier list, and everyone else just copied that because they don't see the Twins too often.

Same goes with Plague. Otzdarva put her high on a tier list once, and everyone copied that. Tier lists should say how much potential each killer has when going up the strongest survivors, and Plague just doesn't have that going for her.

  • I'd rather face a red add on spirit than a slugging Twins right now. They are the opposite of fun.

Those of you pretending them needing a change wasn't obvious, shame on you!

Some players will suggest significantly increasing the distance from the hook Charlotte has to be to switch...pretending that slugging Twins players don't already put Viktor next to the hook first and then hook the survivor.

I'm in the rework Twins camp. Easily the most unfun killer to go against if played "well"(only slugging), but sort of weak if not played in that way.

There is only 1 streamer who is strong with them and he had a horrible experience when they turned the MMR on. So once it´s permanently on, people might change their opinion on regard of that.

Nope...only one streamer you watch knows how to play the Twins effectively. Watch a few Korean streams and you'll see the Twins being played effectively. 4 Gen slowdown perks and slug slug slug. It is about as much fun as going against the ring add on spirit.

They are a competitively viable killer.

  • Just hope that they get changed into something fun for both sides when the Huntress gets her add on rework. Although, they didn't change the red one-hit add on for clown with his rework, which was a big mistake in my opinion.

  • The DS change will help revitalize the killer population, hopefully. It sucks wanting to play survivor after playing killer for many rounds in a row, and having to wait an absurdly long time because no one plays killer.

The only thing that I disagree with is that if you self care for even a little bit, decisive strike deactivates. Unless I'm wrong about that? Touching a generator? Sabatoge? Yeah, it should deactivate. But self-healing for even a second shouldn't deactivate the timer. (if I'm wrong about that, ignore this last paragraph).

Id say as an Oni Main you not including top knot for a much needed nerf is a huge oversight It's actually broken. Id honestly compare it to old Insta Saw with the old Tinkerer bonus it deserves a very much needed nerf.

I haven't really used Oni too much lately. Didn't really occur to me to add it to the list. I'll try a game with that add on later tonight to refresh my memory.

  • Wraith definitely needs to be higher. Using his lunge-sprint effectively is something I've seen very few Wraiths do.

  • After the latest patch: the swamp maps. You can't see anything anymore.

Survivor: Sheltered woods, Saloon. Way too advantageous to killer.

Killer: Lampkin Lane, and the second biggest Farm map (not Rotten fields, although that one is awful too). Way too safe. Way to easy for survivors as long as the team members aren't potatoes.

  • The Twins are tournament viable. Easily high mid-tier at the very least.

Just so happens that the best way to play as them (all Gen-defense build and constant slugging) makes them one of the least fun killers to go against if the killer player is good.

I'm torn, because playing as the Twins is actually quite fun.

But yeah, anyone saying Twins isn't good doesn't know how to play as them, or hasn't faced a good one yet.

  • Watch how skilled killer streamers play the game. Find a streamer who explains what he/she is doing as killer and why he/she is doing it. Practice that.

Despite all the 'woe is me' 'killer is impossible' posts on this forum, the killer role right now (for a skilled player) is quite advantageous. The current matchmaking system makes playing killer...i don't want to say easy, because if you get bad map luck against a good SWF it requires a lot of sweating...but, like, I 3k(hatch)-4k around 90%-95% of my games. I'm a really good killer. I have 4k+ hours in the game. And I know if I go against the best SWF teams every game that 4k percentage will be much lower, but the fact is there just aren't that many great SWF teams to be facing them every game.

The problem you are having is that you don't have much experience as killer, and the survivors you are facing are actually touching generators, instead of rank 15-20's who would just hide and die.

Take my advice from the first paragraph. Start watching great killer streamers. Ask yourself what you are doing different from that player. Practice hiding your red light. Stop breaking every pallet and following the survivor like a puppy. Use mind-games. Learn spawn points.

Sounds like a lot to learn, right? It is. But, like I said, a strong killer can 4k most of his/her games at red ranks.

  • Agreed. 5-10 minutes to find a game as survivor, depending on time of day, only to be greeted by a macro-using killer. If it wasn't as common as it is, it wouldn't be that big a deal. As it is now, it's an annoying waste of time.
