Yawn. I like how you conveniently leave out. While nurse has things removed in tournament to make her "fair" SO DO SURVIVORS.
Funny, huh ? If survivors were allowed to run whatever they wanted in tournaments. They would still have advantage. But sure go on about how nurse has things removed to "make it fair" We all know the outcome if those same survivors were all allowed to run DS, BT, DH, etc etc.
What...? You're just trolling, aren't you?
That has been mentioned by me several times in this thread already.
But once more I guess: SWF has things removed from them in competitive tournaments, as does Nurse. Both SWF and Nurse are in need of toning down. They are both OP. SWF because they destroy equally skilled low tier killers with ease. Nurse because she destroys equally skilled solo queue survivors with ease, and still generally has the slight advantage against equally skilled, sweaty tournament SWF players.
The only scenario where a nurse that wants to win is not the favorite to win, is if there is a handicap put on the nurse, and no handicap on the competitive SWF team. If this is good balance to you, I don't know what to say.
If the devs want to foster a 'domination sandbox' style of game where the killer always has the advantage, then nurse is perfectly balanced. If the devs care about both the fun and fairness of both sides, then nurse AND SWF are not fine. This is fact.

Im not wrong, but whatever you say. This whole game is based on 50/50s and people NOT being perfect. Nurses 50/50s are just different then m1 killers 50/50s. Its not that hard to understand. Im tired of talking about it though. Because it always boils down in to this.
Nurse is OP side - Complains over and over. Without proving how nurse is OP in any way. SHE JUST IS, OK BELIEVE ME !!!! But yet any time i ask for them to post ANY game play of THEM facing a nurse......Do i get any ? Nope. Any stats to PROVE she's OP....Do i get any....? Nope
Nurse is fine side - Provide facts, stats, videos on HOW nurse can be countered. Provides clips of even the BEST nurse mains admitting that survivors who actually know how to play the game can stomp them. Nothing they provide is good enough. BECAUSE SHE'S JUST OP, OK !?
I posted my 5000 plus hour twitch account in this thread. It has me playing as, and going up against many Nurses. All of my VODs are on there. I have participated in multiple tournaments. I have practiced, outside of tournaments, with the top players. I gave links to other well-known, highly skilled members of the Korean DBD community who all agree that nurse is overpowered.
The only stat your "side" mentions is the kill rate. It has been explained to you time and time again why looking at that kill rate to determine how powerful nurse is, is ludicrous.
The FACT is, nurse, even in a competitive setting like a tournament, has things removed from her to make the match more balanced. Please, continue to ignore this FACT in your replies. It is simply dishonest to be aware of all of this and still claim nurse is "fine".
And i'll say it again, but yes, all of these videos of how to "counter" nurse are of cherry-picked nurses who are much less skilled than the player doing the video. They are like montage videos in that they don’t show the true story. I have taken nurses on numerous multi-gen chases. That is because the nurse was, due to mmr issues, despite being much less skilled than me, still matched into my game.
If the nurse is equal in skill to me, the nurse has the extreme advantage.
Old Billy was not this way. He was the best version of actual skill vs actual skill (not insta-saw).
It truly is too bad that these nurse-only players are more interested in having an extreme advantage over equally skilled players rather than playing a balanced game.

People DO give advice. They show videos. They show how to make a nurses game miserable. It's just met with "lulz but that doesn't work against good nurses !!!!" When in reality. It truly does, because no matter how good of a nurse they are. They are not a mind reader. They can't see through trees and walls. People just don't want to hear that this supposedly unstoppable killer has counter. They don't want to hear that maybe they as the survivor are not playing good enough against the nurse. Becuase they do dumb ######### like throw pallets and vault windows
It is tough to argue with this. Not because you are right. You are very, very wrong. But you are essentially saying that nurse is fine because she is in the game. She is in the game, and people play her, and people aren't perfect, so nurse is fine. People can make mistakes, so nurses can make mistakes, that means it is a fair matchup.
It is such a simplistic way to view game balance. Some things are OP. Some things are broken. Some things are underpowered. These are just facts...
It is mind-boggling easy to win as nurse against equally skilled survivors. (Note: when people say this they are NOT saying that she is easy to play. They are saying she is easy to win as. Very, very.) This is not okay. Equally skilled survivors in a full SWF at the very top of game skill are the only ones that can compete, if the nurse has been put at a disadvantage (usually minus an addon). The SWF is usually put at a disadvantage too in these competitions (no perk stacking).
Both nurse and SWF are broken. Everyone can admit that SWF is broken. It is only nurse mains that can't admit that nurse is way overtuned, and it is actually baffling.

Ah..that's too bad. There isn't a server with better players than the Korean one. Not sure where I should go.
Guess I'll have to wait until all the players who only play nurse bestow their wisdom of how to counter nurse on everyone.
I heard that you shouldn't run in a straight line against Nurse. And be unpredictable. Really good tips. Glad these players who only play nurse are letting us know how to play against Nurse. Otherwise, we would never know how.
Not sure if I need to add a /s or not..

Their statement to fix camping was already laughable and on top of that you expect them to program something like that? Only for hooks? Looks like something we will never see to me
I'm of two minds about the devs. They tend to not make the right balance choice until years after the change should have been made, but they have been slightly trending in the right direction, I think. Nerfing keys and moris was a big one in the right direction. Years late, of course, but the right decision nonetheless.
I have a feeling this change will happen eventually, but it might not be for a few years, which is quite unfortunate. They talk about wanting to lessen the gap between SWF and solo. This would absolutely do that. An SWF has no problems making a hook save. Solos do, and camping is such a strong, skilless strategy against solos that something must be done about it at some point.
As for the ease of changing it, I think it shouldn't be too hard? They already differentiate between healthy and injured grabs at windows and pallets. It is pretty much the same idea. The actual change wouldn't take too much effort. But I have a feeling they would rather artificially increase kill rates rather than making the game fun for both sides.

It is not free. You get the trade. That is a "free" hook to the killer player for doing nothing but standing and waiting.
If you want a "free" second state for the hooked survivor you should have to work for it, not just sit there and expect it.

How delusional can you be? In your view, I am either defending my kill rate or i’m bad. You are being completely disingenuous because you are clearly not open to being wrong.
I am quite open to being wrong. But this ain't it.
I have over 5000 hours in the game. I have been in about 5 tournaments. I have about equal time on killer and survivor. I play on the Korean server. So, there are a lot of Japanese nurses I have faced. They are known for being the best nurse players. Because the population on the Korean server is quite small I know most of the top players. Whether we all get into a match together and face these nurses, it doesn't matter. The nurse, if they want to win, will win.
Twitch: omansonion
The response these nurse players say is that survivors just don’t know how to go against nurse. You'll see very quickly I know exactly what I am doing.
Go ahead. Take a look. I only play nurse when the viewers ask because she is so OP and it doesn't feel fair. But I do have some matches playing her in my highlights. If the survivor lineup is full of good players, all you have to do is put on Kavana and it is an easy win.
Just because you have put time into a character does not mean you deserve to dominate. This is not a single player game. I have more hours in Huntress than any other killer by far, but I don't expect to win every game. There are many survivors with equal playtime in their role as I do in mine. My chance of winning should be equal if I go against these survivors. Now, when nurse reaches a certain skill level, their chance of winning that match skyrockets compared to equally skilled survivors. This is not fair. It is the exact same with SWF. Both are super imbalanced.

And survivors don't deserve a free unhook because their healthy
By standing still and not moving the killer controls two hook states (of the survivor on the hook) and two health states (of the survivor trying to save). How is this healthy against solo queue?
Doing nothing should not be the best available strategy.
I think you don't know what free means, as well...it is not a free unhook. The unhooker is choosing to rely on solo queue team members to come save them, with no guarantee that first hook won't be their last, because if you were camping that first hook there is a good chance you will be camping the next one, too.
Removing hook grabs on healthy survivors has no negative impact on killers who don't spend most of their time camping. The devs themselves said they want to reduce the amount of camping and tunneling.
Lastly, I would say that if you wanted to protect that hook so much, you would have injured the other survivors as well, so they wouldn't be tempted to go for the save. No? Too busy camping the hook? Then you don't deserve a free 2nd stage.

Thing is, I don't wanna hit the grabbing survivor just because they are healthy, I want to grab them and keep the guy hooked. I'd really rather not have a trade if I can avoid it
And that is exactly the kind of skilless play that needs to be stamped out.
That sort of play should not be rewarded more than consistently winning chases. You don't deserve to win the game simply because you stood there.
-
Unprompted. I don't go around asking if nurse is OP. That would be like going around asking if the sky is blue. No point. Everyone except those who live in delusion already know the answer.
I'd love to see your nurse gameplay. It might help us all figure out why you hold the wrong viewpoint that nurse is in an acceptable state for balance.
I'm so curious to know if you are actually decent at nurse, and thus think that you should win an imbalanced number of games to help the "struggling" nurse's kill rate.
Or, are you not very good at her, and refuse to acknowledge that fact, rather thinking that nurse just isn't OP like everyone says.

Did you read the rest of the post? My point was that once she chased one of my teammates, she downed them in 10 seconds. From the scrub perspective of the forum, she would be considered a god nurse for those chases. It is thoroughly toxic people like you, who essentially think that Nurse can never guess wrong and that if she does, she is bad. Nurse seems as strong as she is because most survivors never learn how to vs her. Pre mmr especially, I would face a staggering number of people as Nurse who would still throw pallets and try to run in a straight line.
Why do all the tournament players I've played with agree that nurse is broken? Have they not learned how to play against nurse yet? Should I tell them to ask you for advice?
Nurse seems as strong as she is because she is that strong. Stop protecting your OP toy, and come play the game like the rest of us.

The reasoning is pretty simple. What's the need? Even if I'm not camping, they'd just get free unsafe unhooks.
SWF players benefit regardless of whether the killer is camping or not. They can organize a safe unhook.
Solo players can not do that if the killer is playing in the way described above.
However, with this change the killer still benefits (through a trade, or even hit and grab with the new quicker hit recovery), but it is through skill rather than just sitting at the hook waiting.
Also, it is not "free" or "unsafe" for the survivor. They must make a trade in solo queue.

Uhm, I never managed to catch tapping survivors though, is there some kind of magic or will you just wait for REAL unhook?
I definitely don't say "extremely" easy as if you fail ONCE they can trade for free, while survivors can tap any amount of time they want to bait hit.
The majority of survivors have a rhythm of tapping that they do, so look for that and it should be quite easy to time it right.
If you aren't confident enough to do that yet, you can simply wait them out, especially if the timer to second hook is getting closer. The survivor will keep tapping, and all you have to do is wait. The survivor knows you are the one in control of that situation, so you can just wait until struggle phase. If they hold for too long, just grab then. It is a rather long unhook animation, after all.
One survivor trying to unhook with the killer next to them is always in the killer's advantage.
@Bran said:

Huh? I thought killers are in extreme disadvantage for grab war due to the way it works.
Unfortunately not. I have thousands of hours in the game right now.
If I am playing killer I try not to do grab wars because they feel so cheap, but sometimes a survivor will run straight to the hook to unhook right as I reach the hook myself, and it is extremely easy to get that grab if the survivor is alone. So much so, that most killers on the Korean server do that a lot of the time on first hook to guarantee an easier game. It is very common.
If I am playing survivor, it is very common if I go in for the save for the killer to always be right there waiting for one survivor to do a grab war. It is better to leave that survivor to get to second stage because solo queue survivors are not organized enough to deal with it.
-
@Akumakaji said:
I dont know ... often hook grabs are the only thing that gives me the chance of a kill in the egc. Classical situation: one on hook, one on the gate, two circling the hook and trying to swoop in for the rescue. If you hit the rescuer, they will complete the unhooking, and BT and the second survivor will gurantee a save escort with prectically now chance to break through. The grab can at least even the situation and make any further attempts extremely risky.
I mean, how often do you see survivors who say "yeah, that killer is probably super frustrated because we flashlightsaved nearly every pickup. Let him keep that 1k". No, they will always, always, always try to go for the risky save, because of 4e and bragging/clicking/t-bagging rights. Not saying that anyone should roll over and die, but the utter humiliation and total empowerment of the oppositon is far too often the declared target.
An unhooking grab is a very stressful situation for the killer, but at the very least its preferable to utter dispear.
I can see that. Since the devs are altering what is okay/not okay in EGC, why not have healthy hook grabs disabled before the gens are powered, and enabled after.
Right now it is too easy to get a hook grab, and gives too much benefit by just standing next to a hook at 4/5 gens.
What the other commenters above don't seem to realize is that it is less about whether or not you get grabbed or not. The fact that the killer is standing there, baiting the hook grab, means that the solo queue survivors must all come to make a save, even though it is a skilless play on the killer's part. Too much reward for absolutely no effort.
What's funny is that camping first hook and going for the hook grab is the main strategy for killers over on the Korean server at high MMR. Yet the people above think it is rare. Are the servers that different? I don't think so.

Prestiging burns a lot more bloodpoints than keeping your characters at level 50, plus, you lose your event items and offerings in the process.
They said that once the new system was in place they would compensate the efforts of people who went through that process.
An icon is NOT compensation for that.
You, who didn't prestige, already get your compensation by receiving automatically the outfits reserved for people who prestiged AND having saved a lot of resources in the process. You are already getting compensated, don't use this as an argument on this topic.
Sorry for listening to the devs when they said several times that you wouldn't ever get anything more for prestiging..?

It’s called lag. Playing with 200-300ms is broken on any killer, it’s not the nurse fault here.
No, it is not.
The Korean server is very small. It happens even when Korean survivors go against Korean nurses. There are no lag issues. Going from one side of Korea to the other, the highest ping you might get is 40ms.
This is not an issue with other killers.
It is an issue that appeared when the nurse was disabled, and then was reinserted into the killer lineup. It is an animation bug.

Lmao 3s fatigue. Adding more clunkyness to the killer side.
Basekit nurse is trash, if you can’t win against that, you are a horrible survivor. Btw on your koreans servers they are probably cheaters with wallhacks, because it’s extremely easy to avoid and shift W a basekit nurse.
It's not a lie...?
Due to the animation bug with blinks, the nurse can down the survivor before the nurse is even seen as starting her swing, thus making Dead hard timing impossible.
And an early dead hard is easily punished because many nurses wait out dead hard and easily down the survivor on the second blink.
It seems you don't know much about the killer you are defending.

"if they had chosen to play a bit more dirty they'd easily have obliterated a team under those circumstances"
Why not?
Whether a nurse is playing casually or going all out, I don't think it's difficult to judge.
The top nurse I'm talking about is the one who can easily crush most survivor players in a casual play mentality
On the server I play on, it's normal to tunnel and camp a surv and make sure he dead before 3 gens are fixed.
European and American servers are too casual to play. You often say "Gen rush, camp and tunnel etc.", it has long been a default rule on Asian servers. ”Surv Players play without DH are brainless/toxic player , Killers not tunnel and camp are so silly and lack of skill“ , do you understand the difference?
The current strength of the nurse is reserved to the next version that requires more time to fix a gen and self-care. It is a bomb in the future.
They aren't even aware how nurse often hits you before the blink animation finishes and before she starts to swing.
This bug has been here for months now, and they aren't even aware of it. Absurd, that the character they play has had this game-breaking issue for months since the nurse fix, and these nurse players can't even acknowledge it.
Just ignore these players who defend nurse. They don't care about a fair, balanced game. They want to win no matter how fair the game was.

Prestiging was always rewarded with the bloody outfits, so players who didn‘t prestige decide to not get this. Now you get the bloody outfits automaticly without have lost anything, so you are fine.
other players who grinds for the p3 have invest a huge amount of time and bloodpoints and have lost hundreds of items and addons inclusive eventitems from the past…
They were always very clear that there would be no extra rewards for prestiging, so many players did not.
Sorry, but going against that now would be unfair for the many players who took the devs at their word.
-
Camping/tunneling killers have been made more powerful as well.
-
If they did that then people like myself who kept all their characters at level 50 without prestiging would be rather upset. If they were to include players who will have a very high prestige level on every killer after the change, then okay.
-
Hard camping the first hook is already the best strategy for every killer except maybe nurse and Blight.
These changes are generally healthy for killers, but absolutely unhealthy against solo survivors if the killer plays in that way, which most do these days because it is the best "strategy".
Complete lack of foresight on the devs part.

You can always bait it out like most of the survivors are doing... it can be a hook exchange but you can't have everything at once.
Baiting it out does not work. I have thousands of hours in the killer role. Grabbing a single survivor looking to come for a save is extremely easy. Several survivors need to come for the save, which is exactly what the killer wants as it means no gen work is being done.
Removing healthy grabs is the biggest change that would help solo queue, while also helping game health as it would reduce the power of hard camping.
-
This was the time to remove grabs on healthy survivors going for hook saves.
That alone would help alleviate so many problems with solo queue, and yet...nothing in these changes for solo queue.
Nurse made even stronger by the changes to decisive strike. Decisive stike as it was wasn't even enough time to get any distance from a nurse.
Some good changes, of course, but just truly a lack of foresight about what is truly wrong with the game, especially for solo survivors.

I don't think there's any way in hell even BHVR is dumb enough to buff DH in any way lol.
Many people would have said the same thing before they "fixed" nurse not too long ago, but essentially buffed her.
The devs have no interest in game balance.
-
Nurse is for players who want to win based not on their own skill, but on the inherent overpoweredness of the character.
They are not interested in playing the same game as the rest of us.
In all of these threads the same nurse mains claim people with already thousands of hours in the game just haven't learned how to play against nurse yet (how absurd is this?), that she is tough to learn (not really...) so she deserves to be OP, or my favorite "her kill rate is low, so she might actually be underpowered"
They don't argue in good faith, saying things they know to be false.
-
Gotta love the exact same perks and addons in every picture for nurse.
Anyone who plays this way is not interested in a fair and balanced game. They just want to dominate an unfair matchup.
Same goes for full-group SWFs that stack the best things.
Of course, its mostly on the devs for both of these things to be absurdly broken, but still, players who play this way should consider the fun of the other side.
-
Despite his hitboxes being a bit absurd at times, Oni is fun to play against IF your teammates aren't completely useless.
Being a solo-queue only player, Oni usually means an easy 4k for the killer, but that's an MMR issue. If MMR actually did its job I think Oni would be the most thrilling killer to face.

I guess I don't accept it because I think players are way too quick to accept mediocrity. I play a whole lot more than Nurse. I actually play survivor more than killer these days. Why do I escape from Nurse more often than not? Where are these skilled Nurse players everyone is running into? Why are my teammates dropping quickly while I survive chases? It's almost as if there's counterplay if you're good at it.
These survivors you get on your teams who are dropping like flies. Is it possible that mmr is terrible (it is), and that the awful mmr goes both ways, and that these nurse players you are playing against are also absolutely boosted? (again, yes).
That is what it is like for those at the top mmr right now.
The number of boosted survivor players and killer players is astounding. "But everyone can't be boosted!" some may say. It's true, when mmr doesn't work.
The number of times I have ran a killer (nurse, too, many times) only for the other three survivors to go down all in the span of a minute, is astounding.
It also sounds like you don't have any even decent nurses on your server if you don't know what a nurse that actually truly knows how to play can do to a game. Listen to what I said. Come to some of the Korean streams and ask. Or watch. Or japan servers. They are even more well-known for their nurse killers. And these servers are fairly small, so you always see the same survivor/killer players with thousands of hours each, when mmr doesn't screw up. Doesn't matter. Nurse who wants to win just bodies them.

Rinse repeat every couple hours when a new Nurse thread is posted. What counterplay expectations do people have? Is this forum filled with absolute gods who no-hit run every killer for 5 gens except Nurse? No. You aren't doing that to any killer. I bet 99.9% of you don't last a minute in chase against any killer on average. But players on here seem to think that if you can't do that against Nurse for whatever reason, it's broken.
Players explain how to last 40+ seconds in every one of these threads. People aren't even arguing in good faith anymore.
Nope. Just no.
Nurse "counterplay" is hoping that the nurse you go against is much worse than you.
As soon as a nurse reaches a skill point that isn't even very high, playing nurse means that you have the decided advantage against survivors even if they are more skilled than that nurse.
Same goes for SWF. A SWF, just by being in a group means that the killer playing against them must be much, much better.
It is common knowledge that SWF needs to be nerfed/is too powerful. It is mind-boggling that you nurse players can't accept the same about your chosen role.
Is it because nurse is a solo role, and if you accept that nurse is OP you will always have to accept that you aren't as good at the game as you thought? Meanwhile SWF is a group, so it is harder to identify who the "weak link" is?
It is accepted on the Korean server as fact that nurse is too powerful. People on this forum would be laughed off the server for claiming that nurse is balanced.
Speaking of, why not go to the most popular korean streams and ask what they think about nurse? You'll get the same answer no matter who you ask.

Any proof to back up your claims as a nurse in comp games only manages 2k's and 1k's and that's with the survivors limiting what perks they can use.
And on the BHVr killer stats, she's the lowest played killer with the lowest kill rate.
Thanks.
Like, why even lie though?
As someone who has actually played in several competitive tournaments (comp dbd itself is a joke), I can tell you that every tournament has restrictions on Nurse, Blight and Spirit.
And even with these restrictions, which are usually that nurse is only allowed one addon, Nurse still dominates. That is, if nurse isn't banned in the ban/pick phase, which she usually is.
So tired of the mental gymnastics these nurse players will go to to defend their OP toy.
Wouldn't it be better to advocate for balance for both survivor and killer.
Everyone can admit that SWF is busted. Why can't you do the same when Nurse is just as broken? Both should be nerfed. Note that I didn't say solo queue and lower tier killers should be buffed. SWF and nurse are TOO powerful. When both sides are TOO powerful it makes the game super boring.
-
Here we are hoping for some acknowledgement of this really frustrating bug to go against with nurse's addons.
Oh, nice! A dev comment. Yup, just as expected, several completely unrelated comments that don't answer the question.
We have known about this nurse bug for months now. It has been reported many times. How can the devs not know about it..and how can the dev response in this thread be okay? Better for that dev to just ignore the thread rather than answer like this.
-
I can't wait for them to focus on what is actually making the game imbalanced: SWF (brokenly OP) and solo queue (super bad) power difference, top tier killers (nurse, Blight with top addons) being brokenly OP, terribly made maps with super random structures that can basically decide the game for one side right as the game starts, skilless camp/tunneling the first hook being the strongest strategy for killers, rather than chases.
But hey, yeah, Dead hard is the problem...
However Dead hard changes, and it seems that it will, it won't solve your problems as killer. You will still camp/tunnel first hook and moan about not getting a 4k every game.
While all the survivors switch to sprint burst, Nurse players will win yet again.
It's just so short-sighted, all these people whining about Dead hard when both weaker sides (solo queue survivor and low-mid tier killers) are so much weaker than both stronger sides (OP nurse/Blight, and SWF).
-
But nurse players have grown so accustomed to playing a different game entirely. In this game if they practice enough and are good enough they win no matter what. In no true, competitive, or even fun multiplayer game, is that okay.
If they nerf nurse will these players even enjoy playing DBD? I don't think these players are interested in a fair, balanced game. Most people can recognize pretty easily that both SWF and nurse are busted. But these nurse mains claim that people with thousands of hours just haven't learned how to play against nurse yet.
They just want to dominate every match, balance be darned.
-
Even mid-tier perks like Mindbreaker or perks that are not very good on every other killer are pretty busted on Nurse.
Strange, that.
-
It took several years to fix moris and keys, two I-Win buttons for each side.
Balance is either not very important, or even on their radar.
Gotta pump out a killer/survivor every 3 months and lots of cosmetics and charms. Sure, sure, different dev teams. That's why there is like one dev on balance and who knows how many on the things listed above?
The miserable experience for both solo queue and low tier killers against SWF are real reasons why people I know have quit the game. No one I know has quit because the devs didn't make a 20th feng min skin.
It is just really bad prioritization, and benefiting from the fact that there isn't really another decent game in this genre out. If this game was an FPS and the dev balance team was this bad it would have already been abandoned by all of its player base.
-
Yeah, pretty accurate. Balance for both sides is a joke. Both sides have things they can do/use to basically guarantee victory with little effort (nurse/blight/SWF).
When they changed the huntress' Red one shot addon it just proved that they have no idea. It was a terribly unfun and unbalanced addon on a super fun killer. So what did they do? Make it even less fun to use, and equally as unfun to go against. No creativity, no sense of balance.
-
Devs have no idea what direction they want to take the game in. Things like how moris and keys used to be, current face camping, awful maps, super op things still in the game on both sides...those all would have been fixed or gotten rid of a long time ago in different games.
It even took them months and months to "fix" old legion. He was game-breakingly broken and it took months for them to even acknowledge it.
I lost all hope when they "fixed" the Huntress's Red one-shot addon by putting a one hatchet restriction on it. It was never a fun or balanced addon, and rather than changing it to something at least fun, they nerfed it so no one would ever use it.
It is quite sad how much potential this game has, but how far away they still are from peak balance/fun.

Again. Sprint burst you can bail the chase immedately. And the survivors have to keep it 99d by walking to use it like dead hard mid chase. Which is skillful. Dead hard you can use at what would be the end of chase. And just need to be injured and press E. Fairly different.
Have to keep *running* to keep it 99'd, which is super easy for high rank players. If the killer breaks chase then a few seconds are spent walking to a nearby gen, and the rest of the exhaustion is worn out while working on a gen. If the killer comes back then that sprint burst user will immediately start walking away from the gen as soon as they hear the heartbeat, giving enough time to get sprint burst back.
Using sprint burst efficiently is not difficult. I've used both plenty. And four players using it like this will get just as many threads as Dead hard is currently getting.
The thing is, all the players who only play killer on these forums are running out of excuses. Yeah, the game was super survivor lopsided for many years, but now these killer-only players are grasping at straws for why they are losing when the majority of the streamers they watch are 4k'ing every game. Dead hard ain't it.
According to statistics at least 50 percent of games are solo queue, and as a killer if you want to walk into any solo queue game against equally skilled opponents and get a 4k, it ain't very hard.
I play killer and survivor solo queue equally, and I'm sick of the lack of balance. The problem is not Dead hard.
The problem is nurse. The problem is Blight. The problem is SWF. The problem is map design. The problem is chases, which are skillful are not as rewarding as hard camp/tunneling, which is not. The problem is STACKED exhaustion perks (4 of the same in the same game). The problem is STACKED gen slowdown perks on broken killers. The problem is an MMr system that has never worked. Both sides are busted for different reasons and need to be toned DOWN, not up.
Not really much point saying this, though. Devs have never been too interested in balance. It took them years to balance moris and keys. Will probably be another few years before they get it right again.

Idk where this started from. Sprint bursts advantage as a killer you can bail the chase immediately and find someone else. Or come back when you know SB isnt back up. Dead hard forces you into the entire chase and the moment your about to get the down they rob it from you. Id rather let the survivor go immediately then spend the time and get robbed from DH at what should have been the end of the chase.
13:14 explains basically what i said.
Not that great a video (yes, I watched all of it).
Very little time spent on sprint burst which would 100% replace Dead hard and then all the killer mains on these forums would complain about sprint burst.
Using the same reasoning that survivor mains use (no one uses it right anyways) as reasoning why people won't use sprint burst. Like...what? At high levels, where wins and losses are being decided by that one missed swing or one successfully dead hard, everyone will know how to successfully use Dead hard.
Well made video, but completely missing the point.

No thanks, Nurse is challenging to play as and against and that‘s why we like her : she takes skill. Even after thousands of hours, you can still learn and improve on her and that‘s why she is so fun.
It was a sarcastic suggestion to highlight how silly the other poster is being.

Yeah, it is common knowledge and exactly what I was referencing. You don't get it? In spite of players who have mastered her and are absolutely destroying everyone, as some like to claim, she still is the lowest kill rate champion. Must be a lot of Nurses underperforming.
Or, it just might be that there are quite a lot of Nurses at mid-level who don't have good games against better survivors. Either way, she's got the lowest kill rate and if you cherry pick the MMR you're probably not even in, it just looks sad.
Again, DH is present in almost every game, Nurse is in a fraction of those games. Apples to Oranges. You're just targeting a killer you don't have the capacity to beat. Practice up.
Ah, understood.
You're either a troll or are advocating for the devs to balance towards the lower-skilled players in the game, something that no game with decent balance does.
If that's the case, ask the devs to release the kill rates at low ranks and see how all killers are "overperforming" and need to be nerfed.
You have no idea what you are talking about. Please don't talk about game balance.

The statistics have been released, I am talking all encompassing DBD. Apples. To. Oranges.
Also I'm not going to humor your Nurse lamentations. Have fun screaming into the void.
You can't be serious, can you?
Everyone knows the nurse kill rate is low because she is the most difficult killer to learn. There are many low level players who try her because she is a free killer, and that brings her kill rate way down compared to other killers.
That is common knowledge by now...
Here, great idea to help the "underperforming nurse": reduce her difficulty and reduce her strength at the same time. There, her kill rate will increase and she won't be underperforming anymore.
Yikes..

Apples to Oranges. One is prevalent in almost literally every game. One is an underperforming killer who makes up a fraction of total killer picks.
"Underperforming killer"...? What game are you playing. It certainly isn't DBD against even decent nurses.
At high MMR when I am playing killer the number of times an "OP Dead hard" makes me lose is hilariously small compared to the number of times a nurse decides to win the game simply by existing and learning her to a decent level (she is not as difficult to learn as many of you on these forums claim).
Korean server high Mmr right now is a joke. About 35 percent of games are nurse.
Yeah, Dead hard is definitely in a higher percentage of games, but simply having dead hard does not win a game for the survivor team. Simply being nurse basically does.
