If you got that good teamwork why are there still totems when all gens are done?
Anyway, i don't like NOED too, let's just remove it idc.
-
I love you and even mama huntress and daddy myers wanna give you a hug because you're so cute! <3
(prove me wrong)
-
It depends on the survivors really. A bunch of solos? They can escape, i just want my hooks. :)
A tryhard toxic 4man swf? No mercy, they win enough matches!
-
You're a big big cutie, i love you! <3
-
Balancewise you are completely right.

I'm so sorry.

Math and facts showed that no individual killer character had a kill rate less than ~60%. That means more survivors die than don't. That being said, the game tilts towards survivors it's just that most survivors aren't great at it. I'm one of those not great survivors, but I'm rank 4. Still, things are mostly balanced. And the update removes the infinite loops so it should be all good.
I'm talking about the math of the game. 80 seconds per gen. You can calculate yourself how balanced it is when certain killers come to play. But you said it yourself. Most survivors that are red ranks atm just dont deserve it.
The infinite removal and map size adjustment is great, i agree on that one.
-
If every map with multiple safe loops get a massive nerf we can talk about removing bloodlust. Ever played on ormond? Or thompsob house? Yeah thats why.
-
Makin them unique would be cool i guess.
-
Should i show you my old screenshots of a rank 4 killer loosing against a rank 15 swf now? There are always extreme examples, but also math and facts dude.
-
I see them regularily with 1k hours. My last match was against a 4man on sanctum with double OoO. Was cool kappa. Lost of course, because i didnt play a good killer.
-
Just one question: Bubba? Stop, he's already dead! :(

Uh. Not good? Have you ever taken the time to watch a good Oni player or played him yourself? He's a very strong killer.
I play oni regularily and i watch ScottJund, one of the best oni mains out there. Ever watched scott get genrushed while he eats a bunch of safe pallets on ormond without getting his power ever? Yeah that's why i got that opinion about oni. I'm not throwing arond random facts, just saying my opinion formed over many played and watched matches.

Oni is fine. Not good, but in an okay spot. He's basically Billy with an interactive CD.

This thread sums up the problem: GIVE SOLOS A TOTEM COUNTER ALREADY!!!

The first time you go against a really good rank 1 4man your opinion will change. Solos and killers are left to suffer for the great swf gods.

that's why people run that OOO...
Thats the main reason. OoO provides three people wallhacks without downside in a swf.

And you have a 75% chance for failing. It’s complete RNG.
Well, technically you got a ~68% chance of killing one person with one of your four RBTs. Trust me, it's science!
EDIT: One or more persons, sorry my crystal showed me the weong truth...so basically a lie.
-
Freddy imo. I usually 4k with him, but it's so boring for me. I like playing called "concentration window" - killers. That means killers that require you to concentrate alot during a short period of time and that multiple times in a row. Examples are Huntress, Nurse, and Deathslinger.

Few bugs are "Simple" when you have nonoptimal code.
Spaghetto Coding for the win!
I think the developers just change random things and hope it will work after that. Try and error!
-
Is your idea to create an old instaheal as one-time-use perk? No thanks, we got enough second chances already.
-
Pigs traps get deadly with certain addon combinations. Reduced timer and +1 jigsaw box/increased search time guarantee a kill, if the survivor is unable to remove his trap on the first 3/4 jigsaw boxes.
You need to use both addon slots for that and sacrifice your mindgame potential on loops tho.
-
If you gain madness from doctor you can hallucinate many things. Fake pallets and doctor illusions are a part of it, so you probably saw both and after you snapped out both disappeared.

What if people cleansed totems!?
I know right, it's a scary thought!
I think giving solos a totem counter would be enough. So the counterplay would be available for solos too.

And what about the countless stages of mindgames you can create while playing nurse on countlesd different tiles on a bunch of different maps?

@Ghost_Face_Main @NursesBootie But that would require grabs to be successful. Once you hit them, they are alerted and chasing with Scratched Mirror doesn't work, if you don't want to lose 2 gens per chase. I just had "decent" games with it, when I had to play other maps because of survivors bringing other map offerings and apparently not expecting scratched mirror, giving me easy hits by trying to hide.
@Aven_Fallen Actually Hawkins is the worst map. The catwalks are pretty safe, without some PWYF stacks you cannot catch anyone there or lose a lot of time. I have the best results on Gideon, because you have the best information. It has the smallest base size, so you can pretty much see the whole map by circling the center 4 rooms above or below and you know where everybody is. And there is only a single safe healing spot on the whole map, which is in the corner of the map at the big dropdown. I heard people saying that finding the stairs can take too much time. Yeah you need to get familiar with the stairs placement to find the best path. But getting to a gen in Lery's can actually take more time, if you even "see" that you need to get there
I think the ms reduction to the Vainity mirror is really ruining the addon. You already steal his power. Both of it. Undetectable T1 is gone and Instadown T3 is gone. So what's the point of T2? Nothing except a slightly decreased TR. So he has basically nothing left and gets 16m aura reading and STILL needs to move slowly. Anyone knows how fast he is in Vanity T2?
I tried to run it on Badham several times with M&A and Dead Rabbit to get close to 0 TR. Survivors still get alerted soon enough, so close windows or pallets give the needed kickoff to be save and chasing at low speed simply doesn't work like with Scratched Mirror. And 16m aura reading doesn't help out in any way. You still need to get almost into hearing distance to gens, have even less map pressure than Mikey has normally and "mindgaming with aura reading" is easily countered by pressing "W".
So this addon basically removes all benefits from his power and turns him into a slow M1 killer. With short range aura reading, that is useless in most situations

The thing is, sure, Scratched Mirror can also be used on other Maps. But I personally would not try out this Build without a Map Offering, because if you get a bad Map (which would be half of them, if we stick to the fact that it is decent on half of the Maps), it will be a really bad experience.
I mean, I have played Scratched Mirror on Torment Creek, was not really fun (Survivor brought a Map Offering as well...). So I see this Build only used with a Map Offering.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1224954#Comment_1224954
Yeah, Hawkins is pretty bad, I put it nice with "challenging". In fact, I would never recommend using it on Hawkins, the Stairway Rooms are way too strong vs EW1-Myers. And the Pallets also get more useful.
You don't chase with scratched mirror myers. You injure and let them be paranoid. They hide in a safe spot? Just leave and you can be sure that they will stay there for a while doing nothin. Alternatively you can just wait till they come to down em right away. EW1 Myers requires hit&run playstyle.
-
Spirit is the best dlc killer. Nurse is the best free killer, but you need thousands of hours on her to get good.

I wouldn't ever call Scratched Mirror bad at all. People need to stop saying it's only good on indoor maps because not everyone is spinning their camera around until they see you. No terror radius and 32m wall hacks is very strong, so no bloodlust and EW1 m/s is the big trade off. Scratched has freelance perk usage while Vanity can't be ran without PWYF.
I agree, people underestimate EW1 Myers alot. He's not great, but decent on half of the maps with enough LoS blockers.
-
I go with BBQ, STBFL, Sloppy and Nurses. Addons are faster dash for dae memes.
-
Prove will be meta anyway, because it will remove the 15% penalty for two survivors rushing a gen (after the update this evening). I think the devs should've kept it at 10% or maybe 12% to not make it necessary for high rank genrush. Just my opinion about it tho.

People are douches everywhere.
I for one only tunnel object of obsession users. I know thats what they want but i don't care. They will die.
For me thats the only possibility to win if they're swf. Object is just too good with vc.
On topic: You can't justify toxicity. Toxic twats stay toxic twats no matter what you do. Just ignore them and boop da schnoot!

Changing the character you play won't stop someone targeting you if they know who you are from your profile
If they did it becauae of your character, yes it would probably.
If they're just toxic not.

So I’m toxic for not running DS and BT, not taking in items, not using items in game, and just because I play Beach Bum Claudette with Head On, Botany Knowledge, Spine Chill, Self Care I deserve to be tunneled out of the game?
Thats not a joke. I’ve had killers tell me they tunneled me out the game because they recognized me and didn’t want to deal with head on but the 3 other people with DS SB Adrenaline BT who being in items and flash light chain blind are the issue. The funny asf part is this happens most in 4 man SWF groups.
But I know I get shitted on just for being Claudette.
Oh. That's the issue? I dunno, go play characters that don't get used by popular survivor mains then.
-
Strong against solos, weak against swf. Bad design imo. And weaker than huntress, what's really sad.
-
It's the power of OoO. Seeing most killers at all times breaks the game and everyone knows that.
-
Well. Most people that got this treatment were extremely toxic, so i kinda don't care how their game experience is.

I don't understand all of this hate on Nurse. I never played Nurse before her rework, only afterwards, and I can say that playing her is the most powerful that I've felt as a killer. Being able to bypass stairs and teleport onto balconies, having 32 meters of blink range, being able to ignore pallets + windows and every loop in the game = bad? I have been able to get the 4k in difficult situations playing Nurse where it would have been impossible for any other killer.
I think the problem here is that people just haven't learned to play properly with her new kit. I know that not being able to blink 5 times without having to wait for them to recharge is more difficult, but it's completely manageable. I know from playing against Nurses over a period of time that the typical Nurse is just too impatient. They don't wait for both of their blinks to be available, they blink too OFTEN (big one there), they panic blink and use them hastily without taking time to be accurate, get frustrated and then all 4 survivors escape. The reason that you don't see more Nurse players is because she takes time to learn and experience to perfect, and many players would rather play easier killers like Freddy. It's the same reason that you don't see more Onis (good Onis at least)--he is an excellent killer, but he IS difficult to play and learn to manage his power properly.
I firmly believe that the New Nurse is far more skill-based than the old (from what I've seen), and a well-played Nurse is borderline unstoppable. You can't just play against Nurse players (even in the high ranks) that play poorly and call her a bad killer because she couldn't catch someone who was running in a straight line. That's just the player playing poorly. I hate the idea of changing a killer because they are "too hard to play", especially on this game, since it's well known that DbD is an extremely casual game and many players don't want to take the time + effort to play a killer properly. Using the flannel a few times helps you figure out where you go with how long you hold the button, and if you know how her blink works, then it's usually your fault when you don't catch someone. After the flannel, using her double -blink fatigue duration addons makes her even more scary. I don't mean to come off as being rude or a know-it-all, but I just want people to look at the fact that she can teleport through floors and obstacles, ignore pallets and windows, and realize at face value that she is very strong and nigh unstoppable when played properly.
I have seen many threads with comments such as "balancing the game around bad/low rank players is bad", which is very true. Why is it then that I usually see threads (concerning Nurse) talking about how Nurse is too hard for most people to play and that she needs to be reworked because of that? Isn't that exactly the thing that needs to be avoided, balancing a killer's skill level around inexperienced players?
You need to balance a character. Not make him ridiculously annoying to play just so nobody cares anymore.
Nurse main 1.5k hours red ranks btw.

Because not many people endure it through the ranks. At least as killer.

You need to time it very precisely. Drop your item while just being upstairs and pickin it up while just landing.

Enduring is second chance cause itbasically deletes the stun from a pallet
So you compare a halved stun from pallets time with another health state (that's stackable three times btw)?
Just clearing that out for you that you hear how ridiculous it sounds.

Believe it or not, you don't HAVE to grab the survivor when they're sticking a gen or hiding in a locker.... when they stick the gen, just lunge to down them instead of grabbing them, and leave them until the DS runs out. Or better yet, just take the DS and then get them anyway, since they only have the capability to get about 20 meters away from you before the stun wears off! And for the locker DSers, I just stare at them and leave and wait for their DS to run out (or take it anyway as well)! It usually works out 😎
You got the time to wait 60 seconds in front of a locker? You must play in yellow ranks!
-
Like demo's, nurse's and oni's? The devs got a good taste for crappy UR addons lately.
-
I use "Corrupt Intervention" for setup, "Pop goes the Weasel" for slowdown, "Save the best for Last" plus "Enduring" as chase potential. As addons i use double longer portal break time.
