They could also fix her various bugs to make her rewarding again.

One of the best survivor builds i know for rank 1 are:
- "Object of Obsession"
- "Iron Will"
- "Sprint Burst"
- "Borrowed Time"
As item you use a medkit to 99% your heal. You completely disable killers like Trapper or Hag and got a good matchup against stealth killers.
-
Yeah i critisized the PT buff too.
-
It's worth on instadown killers, because you can stack up thana and dying light fast. Myers with stalk speed addons or billy are good options imo.

I do play more SWF than solo (mostly duo, so I can still be matched with other SWF, but I have fewer chances of getting matched with a toxic SWF) but I don't think I've ever been sandbagged by an SWF, insults in the chat, yes, but no ingame sandbag.
Yes, being in a group makes it easier to team up on one player, especially in chat imo, but I don't think fear of reports plays a role in sandbagging or not sandbagging, because it won't matter if just one person or more people report you, without a video nothing will happen.
My point is: The problem isn't SWF, it's that the report system is so dependant on videos from the player base that often people will get away with something because nobody records the match (had survivors in a match recently who were exploiting/hacking, but I don't have a program to record, so they will get away and will continue to do that and that sucks). I know that other games have a way to save matches, it would be great if dbd also had such a system.
Totally agree, a better report system would be nice.

Don't regret that you didn't report them. Without a video proof the Devs won't do anything so as much as that sucks you would have wasted time. It's super sad that you need to have a recording option always available, but at the moment is doesn't seen like this is going to change soon.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1253993#Comment_1253993
I don't get your point. Yes, in OP's case it was an SWF and they are naturally more effective with sandbagging because they can work against one person with three others, but it's not an SWF exclusive behaviour, I've been (intentionally) sandbagged by a lot of Solos too.
My personal experiences show that swf have a much higher chance of being toxic against solos and killers. My explanation for that is, that they got a huge advantage over the solo/killer, so they can bully without consequences (especially with the report system of dbd).

Like many things in dbd. Moris, keys, DS, NOED...
-
You can always, you know, just leave. Killers shouldnt demand 4ks every match so shouldnt survivors demand a 4man escape every match.
-
I personally like that they improved vaults and pallets on dedicated servers. Makes the game more consistent.
-
1/10 matches, probably even less. I just don't like it as survivor, so i don't do it as killer.
-
That's true, that's a good opportunity to spend moooney!!!
-
Most times i get those messages after killer matches on ormond. I just say "Yeah it is easy.".
-

In my opinion freddy got a pretty low skill floor AND a low skill ceiling. He's easy to learn and master AND strong as hell. Not how a killer should be designed imo.
-
We'll if survivors bm me i'm gonna use everything i got in my kit to kill them all. Usually i'm a very chill killer.
-
The walking Nurse
Perks: "Bamboozle", "Fire up!", "Spirit Fury", "Enduring"
Addons: "Spasmodic Breath", "Ataxic Respiration"
It'a hella fun to balance out spasmodic with four freaking chase perks.
-
They're doing it for the archives. But yeah, huntress is a hard killer to play without iri heads.

I had to farm for that sadly. Last year I got it. It's ridiculously tough. It's the hardest trophy and is the PS4 'Top Trophy' on DBD.
Used the instadown add-on and was a friendly killer. It's handy to use deerstalker so you can measure distance and get a confirmed tally (PS4 obviously doesn't have a progress stats page).
Just got the survivors' trust and then just long ranged down them as they healed each other.
Thanks for the advice man! I just struggle to pick iri heads sometimes. :)
-
For me it's autodidact.
- It gets build-in "Empathy" for close range.
- It slightly highers the chance of getting any skill checks.
- It gets another stack to make a skillcheck an instaheal.
-
The design of his power is good, but it's crappy coding. If they would polish his power, he woulf be way more fun to play and play against imo.
-
I luckily got the 4man hatch escape randomly over a year ago.
The huntress sniper achievement is the last one thats missing for me.
-
I just write ":)" because i'm friendly!
-
- The informations of your patchnotes are from the PTB. The cooldown after shocking got reduced to one second on live to make sure that it's not longer than the actual effect of shock theraphy.
- Well, other killers got other abilities. Most of those abilities do you way more harm than just preventing you from doing things for 2.5 seconds. Take huntress for example. She just downs you from a distance. Really unfair and op, i know. (someone said it already, stop relying on DH, it's inconsistent with dedicated servers)
- Exactly because of players like you that start to weaponize dcs the dc penalties were created. Enjoy your bans, that's all i'm gonna say.
- The effect didn't change at all. Now what?

I also find the one where she just holds her weapon instead of her fist when charging a blink to be hilarious too.
Damn there are so many. xD

I totally agree with you, they should've just changed her addons and went from there.
However, I have not experienced this bug you speak of unless you count the already existing visual bugs where she doesn't even use her hand at all.
Also wdym if you don't time her 2nd blink you'll miss it? The full distance? You get used to when a fully charged 2nd blink is after a while, or at least a really close to fully charged one...
I love the bug where nurse just throws her hand out and never clenches her fist during charging the blink. Looks demn funny.

You don't dodge an entire set of hatchets 95% of the time unless the Huntress is completely brain-dead with dedicated servers. I guarantee every killer that complains about survivor items wants to keep their precious easy mode addon.
Ranged insta-downs from healthy do not belong in this game. Lots of killers whine about Survivor items, most of them except for keys got nerfed into the ground and y'all will still justify keeping Killer items overpowered.
Simple fix, reward huntresses for long range hatchets with an insta down (28/32 meters). Still extremely strong if the huntress practices, not oppressive if the huntress doesn't practice.
You're not competing for Ultra-Rare addons like most other killers and all survivors do so you get 1-2 per bloodweb anyway.
(long range shots are skill combined with prediction)
It's basically random, even if you're umbra.
-
Oni and demogorgon are examples for well designed killers imo. Not the strongest in chases, but got mobility in a certain way.
-
You can deny onis power completely, so billy is better obviously.

As a huntress main and a player of survivor, I think IRI's need a change as well.
My ideal change for them is similar to Death slinger's iridescent coin: Make it so that Iridescent head only insta-downs 15 metres away.
On huntress with unlimited range thats a good one. On deathslinger its trash, because of 18m range.
-
Play killer at red ranks for a while and go tell me the same again. I guess it will somewhat change.

The undetectable status prevents perks like OoO or kindred from showing a killer
This. It's basically premonition without the range and CD against undetectable.
-
Well it's bad RNG. I also got blood lodge with 20+ pallets or ormond with 4+ jungle gyms. Corn maps are usually survivor sided btw.

Yes many mindgames as I crouch around with blendette.
I love how people think killer is hard to play. It is hard to play fair, but it's not hard to play dirty.
Otzdarva just had a video showcasing how you can guaranteed 2k every single game with bubba getting 3 M1 hits. 2 M1's to down the first guy, facecamp him with a chainsaw. 1 M1 with NOED at the endgame, facecamping him with a chainsaw. 2k+ for doing basically nothing, and that's if the team is playing unaltrustic which usually isn't the case. But killer is hard. Keep telling yourself that.
I don't need otz to show me that. Several times he only got one kill because literally every pallet on the map was still available. He never got over 20k BP, most times it was around ~10k. And on top it was incredibly boring to watch and for him anyway. Is there some way to get over 20k in a match and get ~3k every match without skill? No? What are your complaints then?
Playing survivor got harder in that update, but playing killer is still more difficult and stressful af.
-
Getting no deviousness with mama too. :(
Forced AA is a bad one, i agree.

I don't know how people thinking urban evading around as blendette is skill, compared to mindgaming the killer for 5+ minutes straight. But you do you.
You must love the new patch. Way more mindgame potential and not just braindead god loops.
-
I just throw in the nurse, spirit and ruin nerf. Most survivor players from 2016 feel like the game gets killer sided, because survivor takes more and more skill nowadays.
-
"Dead Hard" got designed as a counter to old nurse. In the following years of dbd people figured out how to use it for distance (as a second chance without a counter) and for dodges/mindgames (you're cool when you use it like that). In my opinion DH is in a good spot, especially with the various dedicated hits (get exhausted on the ground).

Franklin's does work. If you hit them, they have dropped the flashlight, AND are wounded. They can stick around and try and pick up the flashlight, and risk getting downed, or they can run away, then come back to get it later, making them waste time. If they run off, then you can just grab the person in the locker. I've got downs because players were so focused on getting their item back that they took bad risks.
Head on exists. Most tech users use that too to avoid those situations.

On the PTB gearhead was okay and dead man's niche, now both are crap and i mean COMPLETE crap.

Just a quick thought: Maybe give Survivors a chance to wake up during a chase?
Maybe something like: "After interacting with more than 2/3/4 snares/fake pallets you wake up automatically."
Would keep freddy as strong as now, but would keep him from snarelusting and spamming snares everywhere. Would also lower the power gap between snare and pallet freddy.

It is really hard to get blinded when using Lightborn, you basically only get blinded when you keep looking at the Flashlight. I use Lightborn when I have 3 Flashlights in a Lobby and I even look at them for longer while carrying a Survivor and they dont get the Blind.
I have to admit, i only got flashlighted with lightbornin two matches in 1.5k hours from survivors with over 7k hours. It's really difficult and usually only works predictively during pickup animations and vaults.

I'm pretty sure even with a low skill threshold you can still beat him. Quite easily in fact.
I don't have screenshots like I usually do, but the last couple of (Snares) Freddy I faced in Red Ranks wasn't too happy I was running Object of Obsession comboed with Windows of Opportunity.
Plus, as I've mentioned in my previous post, I feel like strong killers like him should stay that way. A killer should not have to put in 4x the amount of effort in an Asymmetrical game. It needs to be challenging, but not downright brutal and unforgiving as well as hopeless to have a chance to win. It's why some people disregard playing Killer because of how stressful select games have been, while the majority of them tend to be on the easier and relaxing side.
Object is a hardcounter to half of the killers and medium against stealth killers. It's just like: "I can take a mori and 4k with legion." Yeah, doesn't push legion to S tier.
Anyway, maybe there's a way to increase freddys skillfloor while keeping or even increasing his skillcap?
-
DS becomes a problem, if survivors use it in the endgame or for saves/as chase wasters. It needs more restrictions to be balanced.

You can put on lightborn or franklins if you see 3+ flashlights in the lobby. I don't, because I still don't mind flashlights enough to waste a perk slot to counter them, but it's still something you can do.
As I said, you can tell it's SWF if the entire lobby joins at the same time, and you can sometimes check profiles to confirm your suspicions.
I am way more scared of keys than I will ever be of flashlights. I was way more scared of toolboxes than flashlights before they got nerfed into the ground.
Franklins doesn't work because they can just pick it back up again.
Lightborn is okay, but no ensurance against blinds, just requires different timing.
Keys are a problem too, i agree.
-
It got no counter. Currently only a few people use this tech, but after more people learn to use it there will be an uproar and a nerf probably.
-
Freddy's abilities require no skill to use. I think that's the problem most players got with him.
-
Object SWF has been an issue for ages. They should at least remove free premonition against stealth killers from it so it's actually a gamble perk. Just like devour hope.
-
I usually go for looping and reward the killer with a kill if he gets me, even when the gates are open. Just gives the killer points and fun for both sides.
