Late To The Party, But: 2 Of Deathslinger Perks?
Gearhead: Do this thing twice to temporarily activate to trigger this thing if they do this thing while temporarily active.
Dead Man's Switch: Do this thing to special people to temporarily activate to do this thing if they do this thing while temporarily active.
Like holy moly, such a long string of requirements to get use out of it.
Hex: Retribution stands out to me, but you're gonna want more Hexes along with it, or it'll feel niche at most.
Anyone else feel like these Perks are unnecessarily restricted for their benefits?

they were nerfed from the ptb, they had longer durations and were decent but now they are mediocre.
This is my main problem with the DLC. The perks are super situational and not all that great when they do work.
On the PTB gearhead was okay and dead man's niche, now both are crap and i mean COMPLETE crap.
Gearhead would be pretty good with a longer duration, and definitely isn't even close to useless in its current state, just underwhelming. Dead Man's Switch is extremely niche and probably not even good when it activates. Neither warrants a cooldown and Dead Man's Switch literally only lasts a minute if you manage to get it going.
exactly the reason why no one really uses them.
the best thing is, Gearhead got nerfed uppon release aswell.
the previous version was the following:
after hitting a survivor 2 times, the perk is active for 45 seconds. any Survivor performing a skillcheck during that time would have their gen marked for the killer.
so not only did they reduce the time it is active, they also made it only work on good skillchecks...
i dont think anyone knows why that nerf ever was made.
it ruined a perk that might actually have seen some play before...
This build is mad strong with dead mans switch. You find / make a new obsession at the start of the match, snare spam them down. Put snares at the hook, BBQ over to another gen (class photo locks every gen being worked on for 45s), get a hit if you can.
Go back to the hook, tunnel the guy off the hook. Drop DS into a snare. If you down them before dead man's is up, wait a few seconds for it to be off cooldown. Hook the obsession again, rinse and repeat until everyone is dead. A good game will have gens locked up for almost the entire match.
It seems like it would have been a strictly better thrilling tremors because it lasts 200% longer. I don't know why the devs think Thrilling Tremors is in a good spot though, it doesn't even secure the 4 or 8 seconds of gen regression you might get in some scenarios, which is super sad.
and now its a worse Surveillance...
amazing... xD
That's kinda too bad, having to use such a build to put it to great use.
Gearhead could easily be replaced by Surveillance, especially since Surveillance actually has gen-regression in mind, and not based on the randomness of a skill-check appearing, or the survivor not potatoing the check.
Dead Man's Switch is very situational and unless you're eating DS left and right, or the better alternatives of also using Nemesis/Furtive Chase but Nemesis requires you to eat pallet stuns or flashlights, and Furtive Chase is just BAD. If they swapped it to "outside of a chase" then it might be viable, but for now the only real reason to use it is to swap obsessions.
