  • I don't find it reportable because a healthy/injured Survivor can walk and run faster than a dying Survivor can crawl.

Stop wetting your pants in a locker and survive.

I tried asking for a way for survivors to bleed out on their own faster, but it was shut down by killers who feel entitled to their 4 minutes of slug time.

How would they cheat on console? I am genuinely curious and don't really know how they'd go about it. Obviously on PC it's easy. I mean, don't give a description on how to do it on console..but, you know..."basically speaking".

I've had friends on Xbox stop playing PUBG because players with an Xbox One S (or better) could use a specially-formatted external hard drive to pull off things in-game they shouldn't be able to (beyond lag-switching).

  • I think the gen repair bonus from Left Behind should be part of the base Survivor kit, and the Left Behind perk should be reworked to do something else.

  • Looking forward to a killer whose power is to leave a sticky/slimy trail behind them which slows any survivors who try to loop back through it...

Or maybe a perk that activates when Bloodlust does (like Beast of Prey), laying down a trail of Entity spikes along the ground that only the killer can walk across at full speed.

  • If the devs' concern was Sprint Burst activating twice during a chase, then why not prevent exhaustion from recovering while being chased by the killer instead of not recovering while running like it is now?

  • (In addition to the dev's proposed changes.)

  • Just had a match where I played a no-blink Nurse and a survivor messaged me after saying that I wasn't playing the game properly because I wasn't using my power.

  • I'm still trying to work the kinks out of a Sabo Jake build.

    Saboteur
    Boil Over
    No Mither
4th perk (Unbreakable, Tenacity, Resilience, or Dead Hard)

It would be great if Open Handed affected Boil Over, or if Resilience affected Recovery Speed.

They do not intend for killers to completely keep survivors out of the basement to negate them from unhooking someone either.

When the devs went over their Report/Ban System revision, they said that body-blocking to secure a kill was not reportable. If the killer trapped someone in the basement, they weren't on a hook being sacrificed, and it's been 5+ minutes then it's taking the game hostage.

If the devs truly did not intend to let killers keep the survivors in/out of the basement then they would have made the stairs wider (and they still can if it's really such a big issue).

  • I don't follow.

Letting nearby survivors know that I have Wake Up (only after the exits have been powered) will be OP because if other perks like Dying Light, Leader, and Bond got the same treatment they'd be OP too?

  • As a solo-queuing survivor, I would also want this feature.

I sometimes join a lobby at the same time as one or two others, despite not being in a SWF group with them, and the killer immediately backs out.

  • Or what if Lightborn is replaced with Shadowborn if there are no Flashlights when the match starts?

  • So if 4 survivors use voice chat to gain a huge list of advantages, it's up to the killer to get better and become more skilled? Yet if the killer "stream snipes" to find out which perks they are up against, survivors cry bloody murder and start swinging ban hammers? Three survivors get to know which perks the killer's using the moment one of them is dead.

  • Survivors only have to open one profile and send one message after the match to say GG (or throw salt).

Killers have to open four profiles and send four messages to do the same.

    Consoles support USB keyboards.

Just have an option to set the default chat window state: Visible (can be manually clicked post-match to be hidden), and Hidden (can be manually clicked post-match to be visible). Oh, and have the default state be Hidden, so that players who don't know how to toggle the option don't whine about salty chat messages.

  • Hmm, as potentially powerful as the Upside Down can make the killer, getting survivors into the Upside Down seems to be too tough. Maybe limit how fast they can leave the realm, by up'ing the timer before the portals spawn or by limiting the number of exit portals.

Maybe only have one exit portal spawn at a time, regardless of how many survivors have entered the Upside Down. This way survivors have to race to / fight over the one available exit and wait for a cooldown after somone uses it before another exit spawns.

  • What I don't like about Autodidact is that I have to also run Empathy/Bond with it, and hope I get to an injured survivor (without being spotted/caught) before that survivor heals themself with Self Care.

What if equipping Autodidact revealed your aura to injured survivors? Injured survivors could then choose between the slower Self Care or the faster (eventually) Autodidact.

I've said it before... Give the host a concede option that is only available after the gates are OPEN (not just powered). Using the concede option stops the match instantly,  and points are tallied as though any survivors remaining in the match had escaped through the hatch (even if they were struggling on the hook). The killer can give up after failing to find the crouching troll, the living survivors get a 2k BP bonus for forcing a concede, and everyone gets to move on to the next match.

Reward the survivors for forcing a concede?? Now I'm definitely not leaving the match. I'm going to go hide and move from hiding spot to hiding spot until the killer gives up and I get my extra 2k Bloodpoints...

Not only do you want to feed the trolls, you want to make more of them...

  • Five minutes after both exits were opened:
Me: "Do I have to report you for taking the game hostage? You know you can escape at any time, right?"
Them: "I can get the hatch lol"
    Ten minutes later:
    "Reported" (via their Xbox profile)
    "Sure dude"
    "baby killerino why so angry"
"Because the game is over 2 years old and the devs have yet to put in a concede option to prevent survivors from taking the game hostage. The match was over TWENTY PLUS minutes ago, yet here we still are because a survivor refuses to leave."
"You're lucky there isn't a harassment option to report you for."
"You trapped me in the basement" (I went AFK on the basement stairs. Turns out he was bluffing/lying, as I later saw visual notifications elsewhere on the map, not in the basement)
"And the killer refuses to look for me so there you go"
"I shouldn't have to look for you. The game is over. Both exits are open; the hatch is open."
"So you're refusing to play the game?"
"Sorry dude, that's a report for farming and unsportsmanship"
"There is no game left to play! There's nothing stopping a survivor from hiding somewhere on the map and just move around to different hiding spots so that the killer can never find them. You are not playing the game as intended: the survivors' goal is to escape, and you are refusing to."
"So what's your goal as the killer?"
"To sit back and let the survivors escape? That's not what the devs intended."
"So, what, the survivor gets to take the game hostage until THEY decided when the match is over? If they don't want to escape, they don't have to, and if the killer gives up you report them? What is wrong with you??"
"Nope you're refusing to play and I'm in the basement. You are blockking my way and not looking for me. YOU have the game hostage." (lies, again)
"YOU refused to leave and YOU CHOSE to hop down into the basement AFTER seeing that I was blocking the stairs! Probably did that so you could report me for taking the game hostage like the troll you are..."
"Nope. You are afk for no reason. I wanted the chest so now I'm stuck here genius."
"Move, look for me or quit. You took the game hostage."

Then I saw visual notifications across the map and went to play another game on my other monitor until he finally gave up and escaped, a full hour after the exits were powered...

  • I think that what's happening is this may be the last summer event for kids before they have to go back to school, and because most kids play on console instead of owning a gaming PC the console version of the backend is getting hammered harder.

I propose that the real cause of this problem is lack of oversight from parents when it comes to video games and their ratings. This game's rated M for Mature, no?

  • The obsession will have to decide if they want to cleanse hex totems to remove the effects from the other survivors while being stuck with the effects themselves. If they don't and the other survivors have to cleanse the hex totems (or if the other survivors cleanse a hex totem by mistake, as they only see a dull totem), then those hexes will come back should the obsession die.

Will the obsession carry the burden by cleansing hex totems and keeping the negative effects, or will their team carry the burden by cleansing hex totems and keeping the obsession alive?

  • Is my back pocket a valid location? It would be the safest place during a match.

  • The killers run in giant hamster wheels to keep the survivors' campfire going...

  • I've had a run-in with Saboteur almost right away, but haven't played enough matches for it to be a nuissance.

I have trouble connecting to the services, but I did manage to get in last night for a while. I played three matches and I was running Hangman's Trick as one of my perks. In one of those matches I was getting visual notifications at the BBQ hooks from Hangman's Trick.

It was only one survivor out of the twelve I had face last night, and this was on Xbox.

  • Events turn survivors into [BAD WORDS] and [BAD WORDS]

I don't know what it is about the events that really turn most of the survivors into complete [BAD WORDS]... They think they have to sabotage or body-block the hook or try to keep the killer from hooking on special BBQ hooks

  • Then they changed it so that you could eiether break the pallet or maintain the Bloodlust to overcome the infinite loop. They don't think the killer should have both.

  • I play both the killer and the survivor, so I'd pick Nea.

  • It's just there for psychological effect. Just like a survivor wiggling when carried; they'll never wiggle free, but they can try.

  • Thought it was 80, lol

  • Also, if dull totems somehow penalized the survivors when cleansed (as a base mechanic; there are already too many perks and not enough perk slots) then survivors would be less inclined to cleanse them on-sight for free Boldness points.

If the penalty is deterring enough then it also gives NOED a higher chance of activating. Another way of buffing NOED is to let the speed boost always activate at the end of the match and just have the exposed effect tied to the hex totem. The survivors always get the extra sprint at the end of the match from Adrenaline, even if they weren't injured.

Third Seal and Monstrous Shrine should be prioritized next

Speaking of monstrous shrine, what if it affected all hooks?

I think Monstrous Shrine should have a token based reward system that awards 1 token for regular hooks and 2, or even 3, for basement hooks. Which reward/buff the killer gets is open for deliberation.

While the Hex: The Third Seal totem is active, it should make all hex totems appear to be dull totems. This will slow down how fast hex totems are found and cleansed, as survivors can no longer just bypass dull totems to continue the search for the hex totems. This will also add to the hex perk synergy and buff Hex: Thrill of the Hunt (currently, it seems survivors get more use out of Thrill of the Hunt by tapping hex perks to draw the killer away from whatever/whomever).

With the pressure eased up on hex removal, the killer will have more opportunity to hit all 4 survivors. This means that the token system in its current form can stay.

Do survivors ever just leave dull totems, though?

They do if they're in a rush to find the hex perk that's slowing gens or epxosing them to insta-downs and moris.

That said, if the survivor is cleansing a hex totem disguised as a dull totem while the killer also has Thrill of the Hunt then the survivor can risk the killer knowing where they are or waste time tapping the dull totem to see if the killer comes around. Putting their safety at risk or wasting their own time both seem like a buff to The Third Seal to me, but also requires running Thrill of the Hunt alongside The Third Seal to get such buffs. Hmm...

  • It would be great if recovery speed was added to the list of things that Resilience hastens. This would synergize well with No Mither, too.

Resilience came out before the Hardened status effect was implemented. Now, given the name of the perk, I think that Resilience should grant Hardened under certain conditions:

    • Maybe if the killer reaches a certain level of Bloodlust;
    • Maybe Hardened could be granted for t seconds after being hit by the killer (where t = the default time it takes the killer to wipe their weapon), granting protection from the Save the Best for Last "machine gun" builds.
  • Agreed, and since I only solo Survivor and don't boost to rank 1, I've adpated to playing with incompetent survivors. I generally use what most would call an immersion build; relying on not getting caught until the hatch spawns.

Problem is, once I'm matched with competent players they're looking at me wondering why I'm hiding in lockers and tip-toe'ing around the skirts of the map. They're the ones who would usually sandbag me or rat out my hiding spots to the killer.

At that point I have to change my playstyle to be more altruistic, and just expect to be hooked.

  • What if, upon reaching 4 stacks, the survivor is granted the Hardened status effect that lasts until hit?

Would this bring back hook farming, as survivors race to get their 4 stacks for some end-game immunity?

  • After what happened during the Howling Grounds event, I'll be more prepared for this event.

    Hangman's Trick
    Iron Grasp
    Overcharge
    Pop Goes the Weasel

    Hex: Devour Hope

Bring the token requirements down by 1 ...
Alternatively, tokens aren't lost when the totem is cleansed.

What if one token of Hex: Devour Hope is lost when the totem is cleansed while the rest are kept? This would prevent the killer from being able to mori for the rest of the trial even if they had 5 tokens before the hex was cleansed.

  • Or put the effect on Monstrous Shrine.

If you put so much effort into taking fervent care of the basement hooks, surely you must know which building they're under when the trial starts...

  • What? I thought Trapper had the faster base movement speed

  • If the Trapper started with all traps in hand, then surely he wouldn't need the faster movement speed at all times; only for ~10 seconds after a survivor has been trapped so he can try to get to them.

  • A killer concept I'd like to see is something that is slimy, leaving a trail behind that slows survivors (to help counter looping the same objects over and over), and whose power is to spit sticky stuff to briefly lock pallets in place.

  • If pallets were realistic, as the killer, I would just pick 'em up and stack 'em in the basement

  • The achievement was just named improperly. It was supposed to be "Godly Huntress."

  • My goal isn't to shut down hex perks; it's to avoid survivors using Bond/Empathy to tell the killer which locker I'm hiding in.

  • @Jack11803 said:
It can’t be slower AND faster, which is it?

"It's slower than a normal fast-vault, but much faster (and better hit detection) than a normal slow-vault."

Just like 15 miles per hour is slower than 20, but faster than 10.

  • Maybe a killer perk called True Sight: You become obsessed with one survivor. Whenever your obsession can see your aura, you can see their aura as well as the auras of survivors within x/y/z meters of them.

It would be like from season two of Stranger Things.

  • @Zarathos
I hate SWF. It makes it tougher for the killers; tougher for the devs to balance; we'll never get a doppleganger killer because SWF can use voice to shut that down; and now this, too.

  • I feel that way if Tinkerer bugs out the killer's terror radius for the entire match. I generally use Premonition, so Tinkerer doesn't bother me as much as Bitter Murmur.

I think I saw my Stake Out progress even though I couldn't hear the killer's terror radius, but I may have just been on the very edge of it. Needs testing. Hope it stays as a feature / buff to Stake Out, if it does still work against Tinkerer.
