"A lot of people use it so it must be OP, let's kill it" - Patrick
I wish I was joking but it really feels like this is how their balance team thinks things through.
-
I blame doomposters like Tru3 and the likes for that recent influx of new (and awful) Blights. They keep propagating the pretense that only top tier killers can compete nowadays and credulous players of low/average level eat it up.
-
how did everyone counter fast gens in the past? Using S and A tier killers is how
I think you're projecting a little bit, buddy.
-
Wdym, comeback? Spirit never left. Her pickrate has not changed much since her so-called nerf.

Top nurses get trashed by good survivors and that's with them even restricting perks in these tournaments for survivors.
Killers also get restrictions in tournaments. Also, plenty of tournament players aren't all that "top"...
-
Special attack after blinking instead of basic + mechanic similar to Nemesis' tentacle where she needs to hit the survivor thrice. There, Nurse is fixed.
-
I feel like that incoming Overcharge + Brine combo really shows how pitifully and unnecessary hard the Pop nerf was. At least Pop forced you to accomplish something in order to get access to it, not to mention that it already got a cooldown nerf... They literally are nerfing meta perks for being meta rather than for actually being nerf-deserving, as many -including myself- would fear.

If DH was saving you from a Blight or Nurse, you weren't playing a very good Blight or Nurse to begin with, and are probably equally not very good at the game - as they're two killers who don't really care about it in the grand scheme of a match.
Who said anything about saving? Being able to extend a chase by 15-20 seconds is something that current DH is able to reliably do against both Nurse and Blight and actually is a big deal in the grand scheme of a match.
-
They also nerfed Calm Spirit and tried to pass it as a buff, lul.
-
Monstrous Shrine? After how hard they nerfed PR? Yeah, no.

Yeah, they killed it.
But to be fair, it was a bit much.
Not really, no. It could be played around. Well, except against Artist I guess.
-
Stridor has and will always be a frivolity. Spirit doesn't need this perk at all.
-
Basically every single nerfed killer perk is dead. I really don't see any of them not becoming niche, even Pain Resonance (it often is unoptimal/impossible to reach a scourge hook so why even bother if you're not even going to get a single information out of it and can't combo with DMS anymore).
-
Next licensed killer is Wesker, my dude. Stop living under a rock.
-
Should have asked for perks that won't die instead. Much quicker.
-
It's really hilarious how hard they nerfed a perk that doesn't last more than 2 minutes in most medium/high-level matches. Not to mention that is barely is even meta anymore by 2022 standards. You rarely see it nowadays at high MMR.

Increasing Gen Speeds without increasing the Hook Timer just made camping more viable.
PR not giving out information anymore also encourages killers to camp...

Without the bonus, I see zero reason to ever put BBQ on again. There are plenty of perks that give you information but are better.
I'm very surprised BHVR killed the BP bonus as it can't be a secret that most killers run it for that, not the pitiful information you get that is still super easy to counter...
I wouldn't say "plenty", especially after how hard they nerfed Tinkerer.
-
Let's be honest, most of their meta perk nerfs clearly are not meant to be well-thought and tempered. They basically want to remove certain perks from the game without admitting it. They just don't want us to ever come across the icon of Iron Will, DH, Ruin, Pop, PR etc. Very childish and lazy mindset but that's how it is.

@CosmicParagon said:
Bear in mind, generators in general have been given longer times, and you have the alternative of running Jolt for no cooldown on regression
Sorry but Surge isn't even close to be as good as current Pop even without cooldown. M1 only + 32m radius is way too limiting.
-
Bubba is already "meta"
-
Killer buffs? Killer lost more than it gained...
-
Iron Will got massacred hard for no good reason. I could get behind the Exhaustion part but 75% basically deletes the perk from the game, it's dumb.
-
Don't worry, they are investigating the issue. Maybe by 2026 it will be fixed.

It probably doesn't help that survivors have to open an exit to get their masks.
Everyone and their mother have all masks since days already.

No offense but you need to stop trusting anybody seriously believing that Myers and Clown are weak killers. Even Freddy, to a certain point. This community in general is a joke both in terms of skill and opinions, don't forget it.
-
He's second hardest. Billy is first. Nurse is not hard at all.

exactly its a skill issue so doesnt that mean shes not broken/op
Yes it does. Even mediocre players can easily get 3k with her. You're just not even that level yet it seems.
-
Survivors DC for the slightest trouble nowadays. I even commonly see them killing themselves on hook even though there's 2/3 completed gens already.

Midwich? Midwich is literally the best map in the game LMAO like genuinely my favorite by far. No over abundance of safe loops, hardly any windows. Literally the only map in the game where I feel I can win with any killer at be in a fair place.
No offense but you probably have yet to play against seasoned survivors. Midwich is a survivor-sided map, has always been.
-
Survivors DC/suicide for the pettiest reason nowadays. Nothing to do with Billy.
-
I can tell you're low MMR if you encounter NOED that much (and is pissed off this much by it).

@MilManson said:
Meanwhile Pinhead on the kill stats is laughing like a Chad with the highest kill rate in the game.
Competitive video games should be balanced around high level play, not low one. That's what most of the most successful PvP games do.
-
Hopefully not. I like them the way they are. People will never commonly use them no matter how much their gameplay is dumbed down anyway.
-
The ever so talented coders at Behaviour Interactive are investigating, don't worry!
-
I feel the same although I'm also worried about what they are doing to survivor perks. I get it that DH is way too omnipresent but it's also the only truly fun and interesting exhaustion perk, I fear that they are going to kill its versatility. I also don't see how they could change Iron Will without completely killing it. I really hope they are not nerfing meta perks for the sake of it but sadly I think that is what is happening.

Thanks for answering, I still think it's unfair, because killers get masks without making any effort. then they take the masks they stay in AFK, or they leave all survs in slug, a suggestion I would make on the killers side is that for them to win the masks they need to close the hatch for example, to have a fair balance here
There's only 12 of them anyway. Stop whining.
-
lets be real even decent nurse wont win every match and you can have counterplay
Yes she will.
-
Pop, Tinkerer, Pain Resonance, Ruin nerfed. PT left alone. Pretty good job so far, as per usual. Can't wait for the 4min matches against gen-hungry SWFs.
-
Game is a lot more alive during its biggest event. Who would've guessed.
-
I wouldn't say getting healed and opening chests or exit gates is doing nothing. Not to mention that many DS users will bait the killer on purpose (by entering lockers for example) to get value out of it. 60s is a lot, a lot of things can happen in that amount of time. Anybody seriously thinking that DS only works as an anti-tunneling tool is either a liar or an idiot.
-
Playing survivor becomes a lot more boring. It's what changes. Let's wait and see what they change about it first though.
-
No but they should get some debuff.
-
There's 26 killers in the game and the novelty effect is wearing off. What else is there to say.
-
Nurse does not have a high skill ceiling and simply reaching her skill floor is enough to carry even mediocre killer players anyway.
-
Reminder that you are talking to the company that, through the last 6 months, buffed Nurse, Blight and Spirit and nerfed Pinhead, Nemesis, Clown, Slinger and Wraith.
-
Balanced? Not really but Nurse isn't a balanced killer to begin with. It's obviously good but range and recharge are just better.
