I'm surprised and appaled by the lack of Oni on here.
-
If there were no stealth perks, I have no idea. It's possible that he grabbed the survivor while in Night Shroud, and for some reason the survivor just didn't look at him.
That's the only explanation I can think of in the circumstances given- Other than bugs or possibly hacks.
-
Laurie Strode:
Hitting a killer with Decisive Strike deletes their game.
-
While I agree that Freddy is too powerful in his current state, (and he is literally getting nerfed) asking for a character to be removed is one of the most ass backwards, selfish things I have ever seen.
I hate Hag, but I would never ask for her to be removed from the game.
-
I really, really have no idea how they would even do this. Our Ghostface isn't from Scream, he's an original character.
They'd either have to make ANOTHER Killer (that couldn't be Ghostface, because we already have him) or she'd be a solo character.
-
Lately Autohaven is either an entire deadzones or I can't step five feet without finding some kind of loop. There's no middle ground, which there needs to be.
-
If every killer were to get their own theme, Trapper's would be the default theme imo.
-
Hag.
Hag.
Oh, and Hag.
Seriously, I'm at least okay with every other killer. Even a facecamping Bubba.
-
I haven't seen them in over a month.

ME BIASED!? LMAO!!!
I Play both sides so I know what the state of this game is.
I don't "Split" I make discussions. I know you don't like them because YOU think they are "sUrviVer bAiSed mimimi".
Yes Undying was broken af but that dosen't mean that Ds is. I rly can't see your point.
Yes- Biased. Nearly every single post you have ever made is more or less "Survivor Good, Killer Bad"
So yes, when you make "surviver baised" posts and refuse to see any reason, you do nothing but split the community.
You only care about you and your sides fun. You don't care about the bigger picture. You can say "I play both sides, I know what the state of this game is!" All you want. Wanna know something? It doesn't mean jackshit. You aren't God's gift to DbD.
I'm not gonna waste my time talking to you anymore, it isn't worth talking to a brick wall
-
Some other ideas-
If you have Second Wind activated and Deliverance, Second Wind heals you when the 60 second broken timer is over.
Brutal Strength let's you cancel pallet breaks, similar to how you can cancel generator breaks. It'd be neat for mindgames.

That's not the worse idea maybe ds go down twice as quick if being healed because that would be a bit bs if a teammate taps heal on you and it's a wraith that can just re hook you for your team's action because ds was deactivated by a teammate
It would only deactivate when fully healed in this idea.

But if the timer pauses while downed or in chase, one of the huge complaints about DS remains - if it gets triggered while the gates are open, the Survivor is guaranteed the escape if closer than 150m to the gate, rendering any action the Killer takes other than ignoring the slug (Unbreakable?) pointless.
Fair point, I forgot about the end game for a second.
-
Seeing the big one...
Buff and nerf DS. Make it a stronger anti-tunnel perk, but take away the free progress it gives.
- The timer is still 60 seconds, but it pauses if downed or in chase.
- The timer immediately runs out if you are healed, heal someone else, touch a generator, touch a totem, or if someone else is hooked.
- Maybe even let it activate once perk hook state. Just take away the free progress bullshit. This wouldn't fix it completely, but it'd be a good start.
-
I believe you have to contact a mod.
-
The bait master is back! Now, more than ever, nothing will be accomplished on this forum!
Seriously though, these posts do nothing but split a community that's already split even more. These kinds of posts (both the Nerf and Buff DS posts) are biased.
But you in particular are VERY biased if you think Survivor perks are all okay but Killer perks need to be looked at. Stop acting like the victim- Guess what, you aren't. Killers and Survivors both have issues that need fixed.
Undying had issues, just like DS does. You can't have your cake and eat it. Go spread your petty bias somewhere else. #########, these posts suck.
-
Am I the only one that barely see's Adrenaline anymore? It's like 1 of 10 games nowadays.
At topic, eh. The hook thing is irritating, but Adrenaline has never bothered me too much, compared to something like Dead Hard (for distance)
-
Spine Chill counters every single Stealth Killer in the game.
Also- Deception. Though I suppose thats more of a "trickery" perk.

Why is it such a killer crutch? Just take it away for a patch cycle. See what happens. Sure there will be grief campers who will get gen down. Sorry but seems like a very viable perk. Hook one, know where others are. The bonus points claim is flimsy. It’s discussed a lot and it sure as heck shows up a LOT....
The Devs themselves have stated they don't see "overused" perks as OP. When changing a perk, they usually don't care how much it's used. At least they said so.
If the Devs agreed with you, it would've been changed when Bubba was changed. It wasn't. So stop. These posts do nothing.
-
Like it or not, it's by far one of the most optimal ways a killer can play.
Both sides' optimal plays tend to be unfun for the other side. Stacking on 4 different gens is optimal, all 4 survs running meta perks is optimal.
Just like a killer 4 man slugging at the beginning of a game or tunnelling someone to death is optimal.

Doesnt Sony let fortnite cod and them do it though?
It took alot of Backlash though. Sony wasn't even going to let their be cross-play on the PS4 version of Fortnite until the internet threw a fit.
-
Well, when asked about a new map in the last QnA, they said;
"SoonTM."
So, there is a chance that the upcoming chapter will come with a map.
But soon also tends to mean "9 months from now" with BHVR

No way.... Are you serious? Thats crazy...
Yes. Sony is a very hard company to work with, at least when it comes to cross-play and cross-progression. I'm sure it's probably very easy for them to implement a Cross-Progression system. They just need permission from Sony and Microsoft.
Microsoft I imagine is probably fine with it. Sony doesn't like sharing their toys, or their data. Anything that might lose them money, they probably won't do it. Just look at how long it took for them to put Horizon Zero Dawn on PC.
-
I mean it's already been stated on this discussion, but the Dev's have an over-reliance on stats.
The stats say Object is fine, maybe even weak if so many people die when using it! I try not to bash the Dev's as people, but if they can't see how anti-fun this perk is they must lack common sense sometimes.
The old Dying Light had a problem with enforcing tunnelling, so they changed it. How they can't see that Object does the exact same thing astounds me. The reason object has such a low survival rate is because they get tunneled out of the game.
-
Depends on what they're playing on. Back when I played on PS4, the tremendous lack of optimization meant that oftentimes, the game would lose frames around the time of second hook, and it wouldn't accept my input.
-
I mean, I didn't win, but I witness a Killer win because of Unrelenting. Demo missed a swing, I thought I could make another loop.
Unrelenting made sure I could not.
-
This idea has been floating around for a while, and an answer has always come up.
This killer would be severely weak when it came to SWF.
"Hey, is that you coming up to the generator {Insert Survivor Here}?"
"No, I'm at {Insert Generic DbD Location Here}."
"Oh, #########, that's the killer then."
I think this idea would be awesome to see in action, but there's no denying SWF would slaughter this killer.
-
"bUt It'S iN aLoT oF kIlLeR bUiLdS!!1!!1!"
I seriously don't understand why people can even try and say this when the perk has so many counters. Honestly, this is one of the most counterable (and probably healthiest) perks in the game. It promotes an Anti-Camp playstyle (even if not all killers follow that promotion.)
Honestly, I don't think a lot of killer's even use it for the Aura Reading. I know I constantly forget to look around after I hook someone. I use it very only nearly for the BP. There are much more accurate tracking perks than BBQ
-
Judging by what they've done in the past, since PH has received some changes recently, he isn't liable to get any for awhile. Let alone a full power rework. I believe Demo or Huntress is next to be getting looked at.
-
I would 100% be willing to buy skins more if they set aside a chapter for health. That would show me they actually care about it. But simply put, they won't. The higher ups are totally okay with shoveling out content every few months, no matter how buggy it is.
-
They made it like that so the Perk isn't useless on its own. They've stated they want all perks to be usable on their own (I know a good portion of them aren't, I'm just relaying information). They wanted Undying to have an effect on its own, so they gave it the aura reading.
-
The problem I've always had with second wind is compared to other healing perks like it (namely Inner Strength), it's not as good.
Inner strength does the same thing that Second Wind does, but...
- It can be used on command, as long as you've broken a totem, which takes less time and means there's one more survivor doing something important.
- It's far easier to activate.
- It takes less time to heal you.
- You can use Inner Strength a maximum of 5 times, while Second Wind can only be activated twice.
The only thing Second Wind has over Inner Strength is the fact that it heals you passively, which does mean you can do more important things. But, I have the same problem with it that I have with Deliverance. If you're the first chased or hooked, the perk is a waste of a spot.
-
It... It does. As far as I know, most healing speed buffs stack
-
Iridescent Head won't be changed until Huntress herself get's an add-on pass. They focused on Clown this patch. You literally explained yourself why begrimed head was changed.
-
I used to try and be optimistic about this game, but I just can't any more. It's abundantly clear to me that they barely care anymore. I mean this company has over 600 employees.
And yes, I know that not all of them are devoted to DbD, but there are so many other games with so many less employees that put out ten times better content
Santa Monica Studios (God Of War): 200
Bluepoint Studios (Demon Souls' Remake): 90
From Software (Dark Souls and arguably one of the biggest developers right now): 316, nearly half as less than BHVR.
It astounds me that a small group can make a game like Hollow Knight or Shovel Knight but the massive amount of people at BHVR can't make a competent game. Again- I know not all of those 600 work on DbD, but clearly they need more on the team.
Hell, even just the comparison of Path of Exiles was downright embarrassing. Back when I played it, Hi-Rez tried harder with Paladins. Hi-Rez. For those that don't know, they suck.
I just want them to try or care again. Because it's clear they don't. The best thing in this patch is Clown's new music.
I'll see you next patch where they give Wraith a second bell that boosts everyone's action speed by 15%, including survivors. Said patch will also introduce 117 new bugs while fixing about 4.
-
From what I understand, yes. Probably just an add-on pass and a few tiny changes. Nothing as major as Freddy or Clown.
-
He's definitely stronger. His reload is way shorter, and I'm actually seeing a lot of usesfor his yellow bottle.
His tonic (the pink one) is unchanged.

Just a bug, look at the chosen cosmetic, really broken.
Good point. I know they're updating the characters models (Like they did for Nurse and Clown this update) so part of me was wondering if this might be a skin for the older model, but now that you point it out it's just broken. I wonder which cosmetic it's supposed to be though.
-
Is... Is this a bug, or a new cosmetic? If it is, I wonder if we'll get maskless cosmetics for the other killers. If they have one, anyways.

I mean, Blight's is still best, but they're really killing it in the music department. Can't wait to hear it myself.

Cigar Box: Helps survivors even more. Am I missing something here?
Idk, I just copied the notes. I'm just gonna wait and see what happens on the PTB. I can see some potential. I still think a survivor will never run towards a yellow bottle, but I'll wait and see.

There has been a few times where a deliverance buff like this one woulda saved me like being hooked at the hook right infront of the gate i could literally just jump off and crawl out with ds lol. Or dead hard. Or having a key and being hooked infront of hatch.
That's not the point. Trust me, I know how infuriating it is to be the last person hooked with deliverance, but the game is coded to end as soon as the last remaining survivor in trial is hooked. It wasn't always like that - And survivors would regularly just wait out their entire timer to spite the killer.
The devs did this to streamline the endgame.

He did fine before undying because people were still learning him. And with ruin I didn't have to worry about using the cages, now I have to decide if I wanted to cage or get pop
That's the point of the cages. They're supposed to be strategic- You can use one and forego dealing with any survivor perks, but it deprives you of hook perks - Like BBQ and Pop. Or you can hook them to get access to your hook perks.
It has never taken people three months to learn how to play against a killer. Good players can figure out the basics of a killer very quickly, and only a bit longer the intricacies.
-
The game automatically ends if your the last person on hook. They made it this way to streamline it. And, as someone pointed out already, at that point the killer already one. Deliverance is a solid, solid Solo perk.
