I agree on the purple windstorm being base kit part, but not for the bone clapper. If on any rarity, the bone clapper should be very rare. It is literally his second-best addon after the coxcombed clapper. It deserves to be a very rare addon.
Hard disagree on Bone Clapper being his second best add-ons.
Coxcombed Clapper isn't even his best add-on. His best add-on by far Is Windstorm - Blood. Wraith doesn't need more stealth, he needs more speed. Maybe it's because Coxcombed and Bone Clapper don't go into my playstyle as Wraith, but I think they're far from his best. Coxcomb Clapper is really only good with Ghost, as the heartbeat still starts up immediately- And even then, the "Whoosh" sounds always plays.
Both All-Seeing variants are better for the information they give. All-Seeing Blood is honestly in a league of it's own. Coxcombed and Bone are good, just not his best. Wraith can trap unaware survivors without Coxcombed anyways- And unless they're near a pallet, hiding behind a tree or a wall is bound to get you a hit anyways.
-
- Wraith
- Oni
- Ghostface
- Pyramid Head/Doc. They're both equal amounts of fun to me.
- Trapper, shockingly. I'm really getting into trapper lately.
-
As someone who is a Wraith main, the bigger buff (imo) was the added .25 seconds of his speed coming out of cloak. The complete invisibility is definitely nice, but it doesn't change how he plays all that much. It just means I can get closer to survivors.
He definitely needs more speed. Imo, Green would be enough, but I would take anything at this point. As for his add-ons, some of them are fantastic. All-Seeing blood is incredibly powerful, and I like Shadow-Dance (the one that makes him kick and vault faster) for meme builds. They buffed Serpent, the add-on that allows him to de-cloak when breaking a pallet or generator as well, so you now get the speed-boost when coming out of that cloak. I've yet to try it, but it sounds stupid-fun on Pallet-Breaker God Wraith.
There would be a few things I wouldn't mind as base kit, but might be too much. The big one being Bone Clapper.
-
I don't really ship characters in games (least of all this one), but I think the idea of Jeff x Jane is cute, and David and Dwight. No clue why, it just seems like it'd be cute.
I don't ship the survivors with killers because a pretty big margin of them are literal sociopaths, and would likely murder them before being a couple. I sincerely don't understand how anyone can ship Michael Myers, who's whole thing is having no emotion, with anyone. ESPECIALLY Laurie, who in some canons is his sister. Or Pyramid Head, who partly signifies sexual aggression and frustration.
-
There are just a lot of killer dailies to pick from.
Use [Insert Power Here] x amount of times.
Chase as [Insert Killer Here] for x amount of seconds.
Kill one survivor with [Insert Killer Here] by your hands.
All these are multiplied by 22 (or however many killers you own.)
Added on to the different dailies survivors can get. There's just a lot of different dailies to choose from.
-
The problem with changing Deathslinger in any way is the fact that his strong chase is the only thing he has. Huntress can still hit across the map- Slinger can not. If we change his chase to be weaker, we have to buff him in some other way so he isn't terrible.
-
We have no idea. The mid-chapter was delayed, so it's possible the next chapter was as well, but it is good to note it's only been about two and a half months since the last chapter came out. The teaser release has never been too consistent. We could get one tomorrow, who knows.
Another thing to note is the chapter cycle after this next one is the anniversary. The anniversary normally has a licensed killer, and I don't know what the likelihood of us getting two licensed killers in a row is. I may be wrong, though.
-
Realm DEFINITELY matters.
Shelter Woods, a map in the Macmillan Estate realm, is by far one of the most killer sided maps and quite frankly should've been balanced when the realm was updated.
Haddonfield is regularly seen as one of the worst maps to play on as most killers, due to its layout. Unless your a stealth killer, and maybe Trapper, you'll have a tough time on that map.
These're just two very easy examples.

A SWF is not automatically stronger than killer, that is a myth killers spread around.
I saw the stats and SWF was barely better than solo. Solo sucks because of balance changes over time making killers too overpowered. Undying tilted the game very massively in the favor making it impossible to cleanse Ruin. DS doesn't win a game by having it equipped, but Undying did. It still can actually. A second chance to a very powerful perk.
The goal is to improve the fun for everyone.
No, it isn't- But a SWF has by far the most potential in this game. A co-ordinated SWF will win. Tournaments prove that.
But, that's not what this about. Most people aren't that level, but SWF is still at the top of the pecking order in potential.
The Devs themselves, multiple times, said stats were not to be looked at for balance, because at a glance it is impossible to say why those numbers are high.
Undying did not win games by having it equipped. To do that, everyone would die once it was put on. Stop exaggerating if you want to actually talk about balance. DS and Undying did the exact same thing- Put the other side at a disadvantage either way.
Undying, you either had to cleanse all five totems, or constantly get your aura revealed. The survivor is at a lose-lose.
With DS, Killer's can't do ######### against aggressive plays. A recently unhooked survivor runs to a gen, and does it in the face of the killer. The killer now has three options- Just let the survivor get free progression, down and slug the survivor, in which nine times out of ten that said something survivor has Unbreakable, negating any pressure the killer might've had. Or the killer picks them up, and takes a 5 second stun- Completely getting rid of their pressure.
Both perks deserved to be changed, because of what you mentioned- Fun. Old Ruin was changed primarily because it wasn't fun- It didn't do jack ######### against old players, and ruined new players experience. Undying was changed because it was to oppressive. DS was changed because Killer's that didn't tunnel would CONSTANTLY get hit with it, because they had to stop the survivors. It wasn't fun to go against. Yes, it isn't fun to get tunneled, which is why imo it should get buffed in it's anti-tunnel capabilities. If the change goes through.
Nerfing an entire side, as you so clearly want, wouldn't "make it fun for everyone". It'd make it funner for survivors, and only Survivors.
But I have a feeling you don't care about Killers fun, right?
-
Just gonna say- By making posts like these, all you're trying to do is ruin one entire side's fun.
Anyone with a brain can tell the hierarchy of the game is SWF>Killers>Solo Queue.
Yes, Solo ######### sucks. But I have survived plenty. In both SWF and Solo. The answer is to buff Solo, not nerf killers. That just ruins one entire side's fun it's so insanely obvious that you don't care about one side you aren't even trying.
We only need to nerf things that are TRULY problematic- Yes, including DS and Undying. Whenever you post you never talk about killers as if they are actually people- Just literal, unbeatable monsters.

i have all survs, and almost all killers (i dont have twins)
buying them (via shards or money) didnt make me play them xd all of them i have on lvl 50 but for example i dont touch: nurse(daily only), hag, myers, clown, legion, freddy(post rework), GF, slinger, spirit (outside of daily), PH, plague i just dont like their powers (from one side or other, because for example i feel dirty playing spirit, its just too easy i have P3 50 spirit with all perks, freddy is just too boring, literally no learning curve post rework)
survs are literally OG "legendary skins" but with perks ... (thats sad), im dwight main and have some maxed couple other characters (meg, claudette, nea, Feng, Kate, Jane, Yui, bill) but most of them i dont play even tho i maxed them i just have too much bloodpoints and i dont like overlvling characters (feels like waste)

Pay 2 Win in dbd XDDDD if only winning mattered xd bruh on survivor side you dont need BS perks to be in red ranks my OG build was SB, SC, Urban, we're gonna farm and hit R1 in my 1st 100h (back in 2017), now thats my build: small games, bond, plunderers, inner str, and i cant get out of red ranks (i dont want to be there), on killer: enduring, whispers, BBQ and 4th rotating perk(depends on killer) with same story as on surv (you might tell bbq is from paid DLC, but you dont have to run it, use other detection perk there is solid amount of them)
you dont need "P2W perks"(nice joke im still laughing) you just need to get better so you wont have to rely on perks to carry your ass (because thats what strong perks do)
about "joke on those ppl you bought Freddy when he was worst killer" i was maining him when he was worst killer and dropped him after his rework (because now hes braindead in use)
You realize my post was saying it wasn't Pay 2 Win, right? Maybe I'm not the one that has to get better, you just need to learn how to read. I don't give a ######### about perks. I was simply saying BHVR put the Shrine of Secrets in so people didn't have to pay to get perks. Never once did I say I agreed with peoples sentiments that the game was Pay 2 Win- It isn't. You can win with anything.
Jesus, I hate this forum sometimes. "nIcE jOkE iM sTiLl LaUgHiNg"

Strength, probably. Stronger killers tend to attract sweatier players.
I'm not saying always, I've ran into plenty of good Nurses and Blight's that were complete bros. And on the opposite end, I've ran into Wraith's and even Demo's (completely besmirching the name of the beloved Demodog) who were more sweaty and annoying then any other killer. I will admit, Spirit is consistent with her players being very sweaty. I think I've had only two that didn't treat the game as actual life or death.

This tier list was the killers strength based on their lore but if you want my favourite lore here it is

You're right, I misread the post. My bad.
On the "strength bases on their lore" then, Blight would likely be A-S tier, considering he's hopped up on Entity juice, and The Twins' would be F. They were peasants, and one of them is literally dead.
-
The Shrine is outdated, but I don't think it's unsporting. It's the only way people can get perks without buying said chapter. This is BHVR's way of dealing with the Pay 2 Win. If you had to pay to get Laurie and DS, one of the best Survivor perks, the Halloween chapter would likely be seen as Pay 2 Win. How some people now view the Nightmare on Elm Street chapter as Pay 2 Win because of Freddy. And sometimes, I don't wanna have to level up Nurse to get Thana. I mean, I already did, but still.
Jokes on those people, I bought Freddy when he was the worst killer in the game!

Blight and Oni are two of the best killers ever released
If all Chapters were held to the level of quality as Oni and Blight, we'd have a much better game on our hands.

That’s what I think anyway
Personally, I think Plague's lore is amazing. Her tale is tragic. The Entity picked her because it saw a desperate woman- One it could twist and play with.
I also think Wraith's lore is better than Billy, but that's just my opinion.
Also, where are the Blight and Twins'?
-
Cursed Legacy or Descend Beyond.
I really enjoy playing Oni, and Blight is one of the best killer's they've ever released. I also think Blight's lore is some of the best in the game, similar to Oni's.
Yui is cool, and I like Felix. Their perks aren't worth all that much, really, but I like their lore as well.

Look. I hate this patch too.
They'll never roll this patch back. They spent money and time on it. That'd put them at an overall loss. We'll just have to wait for the patch. The 'next week' might be too short a time, considering everything. I assume you're talking about the desync issues, and maybe the animations? The animations will take longer- They already said that. Considering patch 4.5.1 came out yesterday I don't think we'll get it within a week. Not if we really want these things to be fixed.
-
Ghostface's used to be pretty extreme.
You had to lean and mark someone from a corner, then down them, five times.
Now you just have to mark survivors. Four times I think?
Other than that, while not exactly fitting the parameters, the one where you have to chase for however long as nurse. In the words of Farmer John,
"You don't chase with Nurse. You blink and they're dead."
-
As a killer I hate stealth because the game just boils down to me walking around the map looking for Blendettes who do nothing but hide, and the game lasts 25 minutes because I couldn't see the Blendy literally nearly invisible in the bush.
As a survivor, I hate it because most stealth players tend to treat the game like if they get caught their computer will explode. Hear that terror radius? Go hide behind a tree for five minutes! Did your Spine Chill light up for .5 seconds? Uh oh, better Sprint Burst into that corner! Stealth isn't always bad, when used by good players it's an excellent tool. But most players can't seem to get the hang of it.
I also do hate survivor's that just get downed in seven seconds. I think I just hate Solo Survivor.
-
What?
I honestly don't even know what you're talking about.
Did Survivor's get terror radius's this patch that I didn't know about? As far as I remember, survivor's don't have any kind of terror "range,

So you wanna be carried to the basement every down?
@Blueberry said:
No he cannot cross the entire map without you wiggling free, much less half the bar. That's simply not true and an exaggeration.
It is not useless. It's purpose is to put urgency on the killer to hook while it also applies a short enough duration that the team could allow an escape with body blocking potentially.
If you were able to regularly escape from wiggling that would defeat the entire point and no one would even bother hooking. You really want to be slugged every game?
The wiggle time is in a perfect place. It's not too long and it's not too short.
Of all the issues in the game (and there are quite a few), the wiggle duration is not one of them.
This perfectly summarizes it. If a survivor doesn't wiggle, most killers will immediately realize they can be taken to the basement. Wiggling means they have to hook them with one of the hooks in the area.
Also, saying the killer can travel the entire map is a BLATANT lie. Unless every killer you run into has Iron Grasp+Agitation?
-
Animations take a long time. Remember how we had to wait for Victor to be able to hold locker's closed until the mid-chapter?
Or how Blight's POV still hasn't been fixed because they have to rehaul his animations?
-
I expect it's to do with the terrible, terrible desync this patch brought.
On your screen, you threw the pallet just right.
On the killers screen, it was too late or too early.
Same thing with the hits, pretty much.

My main hope for it is is from the fact Bill is in from Left4Dead which only came to Xbox and pc but is not available on playstation.
Bill was a special deal with Steam. For a long while, he wasn't even on PlayStation or X-Box. I don't know much about Valve, but they seem to be way more lax with their licenses.
To show how just up-tight Sony is- When Fortnite first announced it was getting crossplay, it didn't include PlayStation, because Sony didn't want to give their data away. It took the internet freaking out for them to change their mind. People have been begging for Bloodborne, another PS4 exclusive, to get a PC port. I doubt it ever will. I just don't want people to get their hopes up when it comes to Sony properties. I mean- They nearly took Spider-Man away from Disney.
-
The Shining. I know Jack Torrance is just a dude, but I love The Shining. He'd be called "The Caretaker" obviously.
-
I doubt it.
Until Dawn was a PS4 exclusive from 2015, that the Developers have seemingly moved on from with their new games. Sony doesn't like sharing their things. That's the big thing for me, Sony owns it. If they won't give their licenses to Nintendo, BHVR has no chance in hell.
There's also the fact that Wendigo are an existing legend, and BHVR has stated they're not too interested in making killers based on myths and urban legends. That was a long time ago, so they could've changed their minds.
The only video game representation we've got so far, Silent Hill, is a much more well known property. It's gotten movies, multiple studios have worked on it (and there was also the rumor of a Silent Hill 1 remake for PS5.) I know a lot of people consider Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 the best horror games of all time, so it makes sense why we got characters from them.
In my opinion, we're more likely to get characters from Resident Evil (eventually) and games of the like.
-
I'll be honest, I do feel like DH for distance is unfair. One of the worst feelings in the game is outplaying a survivor, but, nope, DH.
I just don't know how they can nerf it without making it useless, because the intended use of the perk just doesn't work most of the time.
So, I will easily admit you can't counter DH for distance, unless the Survivor plays bad. But normal DH is one of the easiest perks to counter in my experience.
-
Ah yes. The item that can stun Wraith for a stupid long time and hard counters hag is useless.
At topic, they're just hard to time, and good killers will look at the wall. They're hard to use- But for good reason, they can negate an entire book.
And against bad killers, blinding at the pallet is kind of hilarious. Good killers have these little things called "ears" though.

Since when? Maybe deranking on purpose and smurfing, but deranking because you were camped is not bannable.
Who even told you that? If that was bannable we'd all be banned at one point or another.
-
Dead Hard for distance, (or as I like to call it, E to Outperk) is the only thing I think is slightly bull about the perk, but it doesn't need nerfed. Survivors are allowed to have good perks too.
But in most other cases, it's meh. In a dead-zone, it's useless. If actually using to dodge a hit, it's so easy to bait its kind of laughable. Also, it doesn't work 80% of the time. It's still definitely a good perk, but I think that's only because of the DH for Distance aspect.
I'd rather go against four Dead Hards than four Sprint Bursts.

5% seems fair, I'll change it.
The dev's have been very, very wary when messing with movement speed. It can be HUGE. The Killer perk closest to this is PWYF. And you can lose that very easily. All the movement speed buffs have something that take them away.
PWYF: ANY offensive action. I think the only one that doesn't is setting down Trapper traps and catching a survivor in it.
NOED: Can he cleansed.
Hope: Runs out, triggered by end game.
Blood Pact: Have to heal the obsession (or obsession heals you), and you have to be close to eachother. If close, it's permanent. I actually really like this perk.
Breakout: Only in effect when near a killer carrying a survivor.
A perk like this would probably HAVE to run out eventually, purely because how powerful it would be in the situations I mentioned.
Wise + Spine Chill + Sprint Burst (or any other Exhaustion perk) + Any perk of your choice. Get your tokens. Never get caught again.
-
I like the idea, but I think 7% might be a little too much. I'd keep it around 5%. A permanent boost also might be a lot. I'd say it would decay, maybe just a bit slower than how it's gained.
There will be a few pretty damn big effects. Holding W would become WAY stronger. See the killer approaching you? No problem- Hold W early! They will never catch you. Especially on maps like Midwich, where holding W is obscenely strong anyways. Imagine trying to play a killer like Trapper who can't do jack ######### about a playstyle like that.
Wise+Spine Chill? Ouch. Once you get those tokens, you would become near uncatchable if you run early.

The only two reworks I'll never happy about is Freddy and Billy. What we had with old Freddy was such a unique treat, and I would definitely trade the current boring Freddy for the original not so good but fun to play old Freddy. And Billy didn't need a rework at all, a lot of people will still agree on his add ons were the problem not the killer itself.
#########, your right, I forgot about Billy.
I rescind my statement. Billy just needed add-ons changed.

Well the option of using the tonic is still there by all means, still feels like you're playing old Clown but with just a decreased reload time.
Oh, I know, I just wish they made the new aspects to his power more useful. Every rework so far has felt substantial, while making the killer better. This does make Clown better, but I don't think it's substantial.

It can be really good once you know to how to use it properly in the chase, of course it's not the best for map traversal. I'm still testing to see how it's gonna work at killer shack, it's just the switching between bottles has been my struggle at that shack because I forgot to switch at the perfect time. Also speaking of Wraith haven't checked out his buff yet, saw Otz play him and he was having a ton of fun with the insta pallet breaker Wraith.
saw Otz play him and he was having a ton of fun with the insta pallet breaker Wraith.

As @Phasmamain said, it's because Pharmacy already does that.
If Appraisal also just did Pharmacy's effect but better, there would be absolutely no reason to use Pharmacy ever. Pharmacy has to have something over Appraisal. Besides, Appraisal's still definitely a solid perk. You can get a lot of items.
-
@sakha said:

It never worked that way. The killer can't perform an action for a few seconds, but after that, they can hook. But you sitting still never completely negated everything the killer tried.
So, I guess if you never saw it before, you were just going against idiots.
