IMO, the only gen tapping nerf needed is it should take 1-2 seconds of continuous repairing to stop regression.
Brutal Strength could be buffed to do a small amount of gen progress loss but base kit shouldn't be changed.
That first part should happen I agree.

All maps keep information from Detectives Hunch.
The only limitation on maps is that the automatic tracking is dependant on which map and/or which addons are used.
The reason I asked was because yesterday I learned a map that will show you objectives when paired with DH. So I didn’t know if it applied to totems. Sorry i’m having a little difficulty wording this right.

This is interesting actually; I can’t believe I never thought to look if the hook freezes are only when using BBQ, as I’ve definitely had some where it doesn’t freeze and might not have been running BBQ.
If that’s the case then I wonder if unhook freezes are simply related to perks like BT/We’ll Make It etc that activate on unhook rather than the base mechanic of hook/unhook?
I’m pretty sure unhook freezes are related to those perks, but I’m not quite sure if they are without them.

A big mistake I can recall a survivor did recently was, this Bill was trying to give the killer 2 free hits at the edge of the exit gate. When he gave him the 2nd hit he fell down the opposite way and tried to crawl out but the killer scooped him up, took him to basement and he died.

I know a lot of people that play solo survivor and prefer to play solo...I think that's what's so good about it, you have the option to play with your friends, you also have the options to play either side in a solo capacity. Sometimes I want to play with friends and have a chat and a laugh, but other times I just want to be by myself and play, those times I don't want to only play killer.
I'm the exact same way.

As a survivor, I usually just run up to the killer and let them kill me if someone suicides on hook right at the beginning of the match just to get to the next match. If the killer wants to go easy on me, then I'll play.
As a killer, I'll play around with the survivors but let them escape. I don't want my MMR as Killer being boosted because of DCs. Why would I want to actually try and play a game that's so lope-sided and screw up my MMR because of it.
I had a match yesterday where someone dc'd early. The killer was nice enough to let us do gens and farm with him a little bit. I don't know if farming isn't against the rules but I know a lot of people don't like to do it. I tried giving him a free kill as a thank you but he didn't want it.

Here is my opinion on SWFs and remember it's just my opinion and each and everyone has their own so here it is.......
SWFs are both a blessing and a curse of this game. Yes playing in a SWF with your friends is great and a fun way to connect with them. I have seen a influx of SWFs in the past month or so and 90% of them are Hardcore Tryhard Toxic professional teams that use every dirty trick and loop in the game. They usually start insulting or using abusive behavior and don't stop till the chat closes. I have a thick skin and record all my games so that when I report them I say in my report I have it all on video if the support staff need it. If this keeps up more killers will stop playing and the match wait times will get longer and longer. The use of Coms plays a major role in this and until something is done to "level" the playing field the issues will continue.
But I digress I do have fun with SWFs as well 10% of them are just friends playing or if it is a professional team they don't try to be sweaty tryhards and usually give me pointers or compliment me on my playing. If I had more games like that with SWFs my opinion would drastically change.
It's the toxic SWF groups that will do anything to ruin the killers fun. My SWF teammates are pretty chill, we don't go all out try hard. Like this is only a game.

Started using BBQ yesterday, cause I haven't ran it in a hot minute. Each hook is a quick freeze. But I'm sure most of y'all probably knew that.

I've stopped throwing ideas out there about how to fix gen speed other than just upping the time by 20 seconds or something. And that's because it's simple, and I don't have to waste tons of time typing out a good idea that nobody will hear me out on, because they won't even consider making compromises on how to make gens take longer. Apparently, "gens take too long as it is".
I kind of think something needs to be done about gen tapping. If I'm not running pop, it doesn't make much sense to kick a gen only for it to be tapped mid chase.

@Thrax said:
low rent clowns that do it at 4 or 5 gens left to the first person they get is what's awful. It always sucks but it can be understandable after some of the objectives are done and the killer is behind.
I mean, I don't see anything wrong with camping or tunneling early. I guess I only see an issue if pigs were tunneling survivors with traps on.

Solo hasn't been too bad for me.

maybe bring the range down a little more because 24 meters in a radius is a 48 meter diameter from one side to the other that still a pretty huge area especially for shadow step.
other than that I think there fine.
24 meters is reasonable I think. Each time survivors go in that area to use their boon perks is less time on gens. In a way this could be good for killers.

this is very new to me... yikes

As killer my games have been mostly sweat fest matches which is exhausting.
my survivor games haven't changed much, my teammates are pretty good.

I think a person who mostly plays solo, it'll be great. And I for one, am tired of playing the same 4 meta perks so this will be refreshing.
Good day.
I'd give it a few weeks after mid chapter goes live until you start seeing the same meta build again.

A cooldown on the perk could work too. The reason I'm leaning toward blocking the snuffed totem instead is just to prevent another survivor from blessing the totem again as soon as the killer turn his back on it.
Hex NOED and Plaything share the same mechanic of being activated after the trial start. If one can override totems, the other should too. And you would immediatly know if the killer is running NOED, because one survivor would see his Boon disappear and know exactly where the totem is.
quick question. If my hex perk got blessed and I kicked it would I get my hex perk back?
-
It’s a great perk indeed.

Yeah it’s wide open and you can see it from a mile away sometimes. They’re so easy to spot in Autohaven.

The SWF meta is very strong. We shall see if this becomes meta. If it does without a nerf to the current SWF favourites, that means SWF has even more of an advantage.
I can definitely these becoming meta in SWF teams.

@Mooks said:
Because the Mori nerf was just a number change of an offering.
The key change was still more complex and the mechanics/code behind it had more behind them with potential bugs etc.
also the Mori change was still announced months before actual change i think? It’s just that it was not tested in PTB but was then put into the game without a definite date announcement
They also had to change that one achievement which probably played a role in taking longer for the hatch/key nerf.

Getting one hook and another down on the same survivor ≠ completing at least three generators + some survivors dying, or completing all five generators. Most reasonable people agree there was no need to remove the hatch spawning at least in the latter situation (all gens repaired).
Killer’s don’t need to 4K every match. It should be ok if survivors have another way of escaping the trial besides the exit gates with a powerful, rare item and specific circumstances.
having the hatch spawn at 5 gens done would've been okay too. But that's not the case now because of the where did they go achievement which was changed to escaping through hatch with a key.

I like you're good fortune idea.

The Moris were nerfed because, in the developers words, it was unfair that you could just end the game that quick. Now if you want to mori someone they have to be on the death hook stage, wich is ok, i mean, they would die anyway but you don't have to waste time getting them on your shoulder and looking for a hook. But how was it fair that the game is not even finished whatsoever and then 2-3 guys escape the hatch and end the game? Keys are the moris of the survivors. If you want to escape with the hatch, it has to be when your objective is done and you can use that alternative escape route. If i have to get my objective done in order to Mori, then the survivors need to get their objective done in order to use the hatch. For me this change is fair, and i play both roles.
couldn't have said it better. It's really sad how some people can't see the mori and key comparison.

People keep acting as if nerfing hatch and keys is something special when it's not. Survivors are still escaping for free, with or without their item. Hatch ruins the endgame of matches. As we see now, moris are balanced, because they happen on death hook and take more time than just hooking someone. But keys and hatch are inherently broken and never will be balanced. We're not "making progress" with these changes. We're going 1 step forward, 2 steps back. It's such a joke.
honestly this hatch change is more than I wanted so I'm satisified with it.

2 weeks ago on steam we were 75k, Saturday, same time.
So it's negative 15k in 2 weeks only on PC (-20%).
Let's see in two weeks, it will continue to drop, the experience is awful atm.
Do those numbers really even matter?

Of course it will not happen. Generators might never be finished again if we couldn't gen tap.
There’s a reason as to why these gen defense perks exist. If base regression got buffed, than there would be no point in using them anymore.

Base regression still needs a buff. Contrary to popular belief, most killers dont like bringing slow downs and would prefer base regression to be at a point where you can compete without slowdowns.
yeah but I just don’t think that’s gonna happen because of all those slowdown perks.

Kinda same but I always reach the top if I play enough anyway.
Also I don't care about bp's that much but some people do since they don't have much time to play the game and grind. And some of them are new and need a lot of grinding for decent perks.
I’d hate to be a new player today.

Survivor emblems are pretty bad unfortunately. But you can still reach it if you play enough.
I understand not everyone has time for that tho. It is not a solution.
I still don’t care for the grades as we’re only playing with against people who have “similar skill”. Like it’s honestly just pointless.
