I'm completely fine with this because every survivor has a huge warning to begin with and certain safe loops are terrible for her. Bringing her movement speed to 4.6m/s ~115% isn't much to ask for since she does struggle with map pressure.iTz_KilLaZ_x said:I know some might disagree, but in my view, huntress should have 115% movement speed. She’s a pretty good killer already, but what really hinders her is how she’s 110% movement speed. She’s only really deadly when survivors are in the open and you can land your hatchets. Yes, you can do the little trick where you get a hatchet hit in when they drop a pallet but good survivors normally won’t let that happen.I think if she had 115% speed, she wouldn’t be so prone to the usual gen rush and pallet looping. I might have a bias too since she’s my favorite killer

It could also be proximity based, like you'll see all the environmental effects around you but you won't see them far far away. Again, this would be client side since everyone will be in different parts of the map.SenzuDuck said:@Nickenzie said:

I do think it could add a bit of variety to the game though. A change of scenery can be refreshing.
I couldn't agree more, it would be nice to have some more sensory. However, the developers could introduce a render distance or have the effects take place on the client side to fix the problem.
Client side wouldn't help tbh, and considering how small everything is, forcing a render distance will make the game REALLY ugly and unfun, imagine a nurse coming from out of the render distance and trying to catch a survivor, she would never see them, and they would never see her, same goes for hillbilly.

Wow, didn't know Surveillance was overrated.AlwaysInAGoodShape said:It kinda shocked me, when I found out that that this killer perk was so unpopular and suddenly went trending among the Killer Perks.
Surveillance has been a perk that has been rising in popularity among the community for quite some while now.
When "The Pig" was originally released on 23 January 2018, the perk Surveillance saw a short spike in % used in killer builds for the first few months. After most players had tested it out and concluded it wasn't that strong, it saw a gradual decrease in use over a couple of months. But this number is now rising. Why?
When I originally did research on why killers had suddenly decided to run this perk so often despite not seeing that many of them in my own games (In Europe) I did not understand the giant peak of usage that the perk has enjoyed since the start of September.
(Average statistic shared among all Platforms, including PC)
I order to understand the increasingly trending perk, and why you haven't seen it in many of your games (For Europeans and Americans alike). The initial peak in February is easy to understand, as Pig was released at the end of January, thus under-representing how many players used it that month. But in order to understand the second and more visible peak, it's important to look at the Regional Statistics.
When it comes to the popularity of this perk, you'll discover that not much has changed, for the North- and South American, African and European region. The spike shown in the first chart is completely caused by user-behaviour in Asia, and in particularly: India, making up around 80% of the surveillance users in Asia.

So why is Surveillance so popular in this Region? Is there a difference in the Game Build that changes the strength of the perk Surveillance?
I discovered that there IS a difference in the Dead By Daylight copy of the game sold in India in contrast to southern and western countries.
In the Indian Copy of the game, upon starting the game, every killer has automatically equipped Surveillance in their first perk slot. In order to remove it you have to manually go to the Perk Tab and deselect it.If we look at the increase of growth in popularity of this perk, then soon this perk may surpass the currently most used perk: Self-Care and claim the number 1 spot.
Thus if you are still confused about why so many people so suddenly use this perk, if it has been buffed directly or indirectly and/or whether you should include it in your build?;
Nope, don't bother! The perk is still pretty bad.

This is a cool concept that you obviously put effort into but I've to say, no to this. It's really difficult to understand from a beginner stand point on how this would work and it would add unnecessary complications.powerbats said:Ok that's much better but since otherwise that's pretty much an easy 4k then and also a good Pig player can really put pressure on very well and get 2-4k. Instead of changing it keep it on a generator being done but dynamically.
So right now it doesn't start ticking until a generator is done, but by changing it to a dynamic basis it'll start timer countdown as a generator gets completed. The timers would have to be adjusted to be longer at that point however to account for it.
You could give the RBT stages so to speak with changing colors to signify intensity and danger level. (colorblind support would need tweaks here) with red being the most dangerous and fastest countdown.
stage 0 it gets put on and has no countdown yet.
Stage 1 as a generator progresses a timer/clock starts a countdown that changes color each stage. So instead of after the gen is powered the moment gens progress it starts ticking towards phase 2. The highest completed gen will be it's highest point.
This is where it gets interesting however if a gen is regressed whichever is the highest will then be the highest clock progression. The survivor will be wanting gens damaged and won't want to work ona gen since that hurts them.
Stage 2. The 1st gen gets completed and the color changes and the clock starts ticking down faster and the RBT shows it's true diabolical design. In this stage you start to suffer from it's 1st effects and realize you need to get it off asap before it gets worse.
You're hit with x debuff until you remove the RBT which could be any of her debuffs that addons give.
Stage 3 The 2nd gen gets completed and the color changes and the clock starts ticking down faster and now you receive a 2nd debuff either in addition to the 1st one or a more powerful version of a new one.
You can see how stages would progress to make RBT's a real terror but they might become op and some things might need to be tweaked.
I really do like your idea through, how does this sound?
When a generator is completed, your timer is speed up by 25% (Ofc this could be changed with add-ons or the number can be decreased if it's OP). This wouldn't be as powerful as you may think unless survivors gen rush you with a RBT. Assuming the RBT activates without a generator, we're talking about some extreme pressure if survivors wanna do generators. -

Aura reading doesn't exactly make a killer strong, it's their ability to end chases fast and effectively. It's the main reason why nurse is the strongest killer in DBD because she can do just that. While I agree that aura reading is nice, just aura reading alone isn't strong enough to make up the fact you're a M1 killer. Additionally, his power is very contradicting itself since a fake terror radius usually gives away he's coming or baiting but it says he is a stealth killer. See what I mean? -
This here, thank you @Orion!Orion said:@powerbats said:
The issue is you could lose up to 19 seconds being carried to the hook and or left slugged on the ground. Then you could just be left on the hook if the killers soft camping just outside terror radius or she crouches.I think Nickenzie meant it in the sense that the timer shouldn't require a generator to be repaired, but the RBT would still be disabled during a chase, while in the dying state, and on the hook. At least that's how I would like it.

@Judgement I was thinking more on the lines of having skill checks to simulate you struggling because it easier for console and PC players alike! You with PCs that aren't forged from legends, or with internet that isn't created by the gods themselves.
A mere framerate drop, a slight lag spike... just like that you're dead on hook.
Your spacebar jams. A random window pops up in front of your game. You unconsciously fail to tap the button fast enough. Your game freezes. Killer lag-switches.
You're out. Body disintegrated and soul devoured by the entity. It is extremely unhelpful that people with lower-tier PCs that only barely manage 30fps be at a disadvantage during the struggle phase of the sacrifice. Rapid-tapping the spacebar has an insane amount of potential problems tied behind it, especially in a game like this where the situation can be dire for your character and participation in the trial.
One single minor thing that happens to your PC or internet will remove you from the trial.Rather than forcing us to mash the key to stay alive, change it to a button press to die. BHVR were going to change Decisive Strike so that it can be activated on a button press rather than with a skill check, so the same should be done with Struggle.
Make it so that we can die from struggle at the press of a button instead of having to mash the key to stay alive.There's a number of benefits that could come with this change;
- Survivors with lower-tier PCs that can suffer framerate drops will not be killed because of it.
- Survivors with weaker internet that can cause lag spikes, or a host with a bad connection, (high ping) won't kill a Survivor anymore.
- Players with physical disabilities that can cause temporary harm or permanent injuries, or disabilities that impede physical capabilities, won't suffer having to mash a key. This includes disorders that include having brittle bones, muscular dystrophy or impediment, weakness, etc.
- No more keyboards have to suffer with the spacebar being mashed.
Quickfire counterarguments. These are just so that I can, in advance, counter the arguments that I know that the less desirable people of the community are going to make. I want proper debates and reasoning in this thread. No 'get good' or 'get a better PC/internet', as if life is that simple to get whatever you want on a whim.
"It's to simulate you struggling for your life."
Yes because my life can be ended instantly because the universe decides to stop working for a short moment."Use a macro."
The entire point of this post is the fact that we should not need to rely on an external software just for the sake of not having to press a key repeatedly to stay in the game. Macros should not, ever be something that is required just to play a game. Especially people with disabilities.
Being forced to use a macro shows an insane, massive flaw in game design. It's not those peoples' faults that the developers of the game didn't bother making something more friendly to disabled consumers."Get a better PC/internet."
Oh my dear god. You're a genius! Suddenly a couple thousand dollars has arrived in my bank account for me to build a PC of legends and the infrastructure in Australia has changed to United States levels! Thank you so much for your kind wisdom!"Stop playing the game."
Why should I have to stop playing a game that I enjoy playing because you don't care to have an actual argument besides defending that this game is pure, sacred, and without fault? This is a thing the developers need to look into and fix, not something that should force me to stop playing this game."Rebind struggle to mousewheel."
That is not my point! It doesn't matter whether I use the mousewheel or spam spacebar to struggle, struggling still requires me to spam the button assigned to it, and it can still kill me when the game lags, my PC frame drops, or the Killer lag-switches.
The fact that it's the spacebar that has to be spammed is NOT the point of this post - it's the point that a button needs to be spammed to begin with, and that problems external to the game itself can make your efforts worth nothing.Thank you for your time and attention.

I agree with the roar being audible after you fully charged your ambush since if the Pig was able to get that close to you without you seeing her, she should have the advantage on you.Boss said:@Nickenzie said:
Boss said:Like what's been said before, i'd like and only like for the Jigsaw Boxes to not be luck based, but simply make you succeed after box #3.
Then certain Add-ons could also do penalties of lowering the amount, but also an Add-on raising it to 4. (Non-stackable.)
You can't do that since the killer can body block the Jigsaw Box and it would be boring for both sides. Hear my solution out and my reasoning:
-Jigsaw's Annotated Plan needs to be built-in to Amanda's kit and a survivor cannot remove a RBT on their first Jigsaw Box.Reasoning:
Less RNG and less likely of a chance to quickly remove a RBT on your first few boxes.-RBT timers will start active without needing a generator.
Reasoning: This applies pressure immediately and forces the survivor to make tough decisions. Additionally, it makes sense lore wise since "The Game" has started.
True, i guess an Add-on for 4 can't be done.
3 is still plausible though: If she's blocking one, just go to an other.
It makes Survivors have to approach Jigsaw Boxes without being hasty or they'll be seen, adding pressure from the RBT snapping. Also, what someone else said before (though it's not on topic): That roar. Have it start when the dash starts.

Me and a few other people who watch the streamer Malika have come up with a theory for the new killer. I believe it is Benedict Baker. Remember the hallowed blight event? At the end of the event Benedict baker (I believe) Injected himself with the serum and on the 31st of October they put this for their little quote of the day:“ 31 October - Pray
Soon, very soon, I will be at peace. The cold claws of death are drawing near.''„
“ It's here. The Entity is here. It has found me. „I believe that when he injected himself with the serum he went crazy, the entity took him, and he got diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder and theres 4 reflections in the mirror and 4 names on the wall. usually with D.I.D. There is a host I believe the host is Benedict baker. ALSO in the cut scenes for the hallowed blight event there is a cloaked figure and in my opinion the cloaks look very VERY similar.
Also when DBD tweeted the teaser they included this Caption "With Darkness comes a Legion " and one of the definitions of legion is this - a vast host, multitude, or number of people or things. ?!?!?! so like thoughts?!?!? idk how this ties in to a snow map, but still I think this theory is very backed up with evidence. let me know and dont be afraid to ask questions.
