Downing survivors that are injured with frenzy would be too much. Survivors have absolutely no defense when the legion is in frenzy mode, he is comparable to Nurse that way, only he struggles with dowing survivors. But that would make him too good. If anything, if an injured survivor gets hit by frenzy, they should immediately lose like 30% of the deep wounds meter, but not more. I agree with 1 and 3, that would be enough to make him viable honestly. Maybe increase his speed to 115%, then he would be really, really good.
There is one addon though that allows the Legion to only need three hits while in frenzy mode instead of four in order to down a survivor. If they built that add on into his base kit he would also become viable, I believe.

What I really don't like about this killer is that it almost doesn't matter at all how a survivor does during a chase against The Legion. If he's in frenzy mode, it doesn't matter what you do because he can just ignore any defense survivors have. If he's in normal mode, well than sure survivors can fight back. But since he only has 110% movements speed he is very easily loopable, so it's pretty much just wait until The Legion gets his Frenzy back and then goes for you again while in frenzy mode, and then you can't fight back as survivor anymore since he'll hit you anyways, so you might as well just run in a straight line as survivor again.
So honestly, buffing his lethality to much so he becomes a top tier killer, would probably make him the most hated killer, far more than even Doctor. Maybe I'm wrong though, but trying to survive against a killer in which the length of the chase pretty much does not depend on you as a survivor at all, but only depends on how the killer works is not very fun.

If you are injured and you're attacked by The Legion's power, you should lose the ability to mend yourself. However, other survivors can still mend you but you're too injured to do it yourself. How does that sound?

Additionally, Calm Spirit should affect the scream you yell out when the DW bar drains.
He would be OP then and everyone without Bond would be getting slugged.

People would have what, 20 seconds to find another person befofe going down? Not gonna happen on lery's, and if hes tagged 3-4 survivors and all are running around panicking it's game over.
I had an idea that they increase the bleed out timer to 60 seconds (bare with me for a second). If you're put into DW from the injured state, you'll have 60 seconds to find a teammate and you'll see the auras of all survivors during this time. There could be a notice at the bottom saying "Find Help!".

Yeah, it's plain out ridiculous. Anything that revolves around healing yourself should count towards sloppy and other healing related perks in my opinion
  • I'd like to point out that in all of Tru3's videos that he's put up. The largest map he's won on was the Family Residence and Groaning Storehouse. Both tied for the 8th smallest maps at 9,984 m2 out of 25 maps.

Maps any larger than that are not showcased in his "positive outcome" videos. I would be very interested to see how many matches he actually played as legion even with his "best perk" setup and see how well it does on the larger maps and against better survivors.

I'd be willing to bet that the win/loss ratio might show that even with the "best setup" legion cannot win the majority of his matches even when played by a skilled killer.

Ahh, this YouTuber understands. People say, "Spread the damage!" But you hardly ever get anything from it.

@Nickenzie I’m going to tell you exactly what I told the other Killer main.

you are sharing information of a survivor who’m we all know has been playing since the beta. We know Monto’s skill as a survivor which is definitely a great player. To compare Monto’s skills (thousands of hours) against the person playing as Legion is (a brand new killer) is questionable.

now, we cannot compare Monto’s gameplay AS A  KILLER when playing Legion because he will not upload a video that shows him tearing [BAD WORD] up with Legion because it is contradicting. The whole point of his video is to show him “surviving the Legion.”

if you'd like to know know how to play Legion better, go watch Panda and Tru3Ta1ent play him. I in no way endorse either of them, but it is a more fair perspective.

Here's another one and he is using No Mother to show how being injured is no big deal.

Big deal, another monto video to prove a point. I can direct you to a collection of videos of Tru3Ta1ent getting to Rank 1 as big shiny Ace with No Mither.

My point still stands and you have completely bypassed and failed to respond to all of the facts I gave you.
Why would monto show you gameplay of him getting destroyed survivors? You can see in the video (If you even watched it) on how easy this killer can be destroyed by survivors.

Anything else? I'll shoot it down with reasoning.

The way you should be playing is this:
Hit one survivor with your ability.
Leave them be, chase down the other three.
Hit all four, kick gen while they’re forced to heal twice (best to use Overcharge or PGTW with him imo)
A good idea is to use Rancor instead of BBQ&C
Yeah but did you get a hook from all of that? Probably not because you have to wait for them to mess up (forgetting to mend) or win a 110% M1 chase.
Anyone complaining about trying to win a 110% chase is using Legion incorrectly, obviously the 110% is set in place for you to NOT chase the survivor around but to direct you towards wounding others. If in fact you do chase the survivor, go into Frenzy and body black them, even if you can’t block them you will get close enough to down them. I will gladly give you a perk setup to help make him more viable for you to use.
The only way you can down survivors is if the survivor is mending and doesn't see you coming which is very rare or you can win a 110% M1 chase which takes forever. This leaves us with the last option which is using Frenzy on a survivor multiple amount of times to down them, this is the only viable way to down survivors but this also takes a long time. Not to say putting every survivor into the deep wound status effect does practically anything since they can mend really fast. Just watch this video to see what I mean my friend.

  • Stopped reading at point 2. To think killers claim survivors are entitled...

Imagine that. You have an injured survivor, and you have a killer with 120% movement speed and can vault pallets and now can use that ability to down people too.

That doesn't sound overpoweted at all.

It's interesting reading these suggestions the past few days. Killer mains basically want an unstoppable monster, balance be damned. Next killer might as well just be a win button, and when you press M2 you automatically win the game. It's the only way they'll be happy.
Just don't be running around injured my friend. If you are able to mend to the injured state, you should be able heal to the healthy state to prevent yourself from being downed. If that is OP, then maybe we can make the survivor unable to mend (If they're put into the deep wound status effect from the injured state) since they are injured to a point where they can't mend themselves.
  • JanTheMan said:
The game isn't balanced around a high skill level apparently, since the killer as to feed off of survivors mistakes (as most of them do).
I don't want this killer to be Nurse 2.0, I just want him to either:
A.) Make his power slow the game down more (the developers' intentions).
B.) Make his power more deadly.
  • The people who say that his power is not meant to down people.

Have you tried downing a decent survivor with 110%MS? It won't happen and no, bamboozle won't help you with it.

Frenzy should be able to down injured survivors but not down survivors who are in the deep wound status effect. This would encourage survivors to heal to the healthy state instead of running around injured.

Tell me how you'll down a survivor? By winning a 110% M1 chase (which us difficult because you are very easy to loop) or hope they don't mend? You can also focus down a survivor which believe it or not, is the most efficient method. Don't get me wrong, it's good to get multiple survivors but usually you wanna down them.

If they are forced to stop in order to mend you can close the distance on them. If they ignore it they go down and you catch them. You don't have to directly chase a survivor if they need to mend, just pressure them enough so they ignore the timer or you and you win.

Yeah but if you chase them to apply pressure, the timer stops.

Have you watch this video yet? Look at how laughable this killer is.

  • With your suggestion you would create an unstoppable beast, I doubt that any survivor will survive this killer and that's unfun for both sides.
Also, you did a huge mistake by comparing the Legion with the Nurse.
The Nurse is a killer with a high skill cap, you have to invest a lot of time to become decent with her. Everyone remembers his first time nurse against good survivors: absolute bully fest.
The Legion on the other hand is a pretty simple and easy to handle killer. U can't say "look, nurse has this, give it Legion aswell".
I'm talking about the stun time for The Legion. Nurse doesn't get doubled stunned unlike The Legion and he doesn't have a reason to suffer it. Additionally in, the thread, I said we don't need everyone suggestion I made, just a few would do.

    Introduction

I been doing some research for a while now and I'll have to say, he's very weak. This is due to the fact that he can't secure his hooks easily which is what the game evolves around. For you to hook someone as The Legion, you'll need to hit a survivor with your power four times down or you can M1 a survivor with a 110% movement speed twice (or once if they are in the deep wound status effect). Both processes takes a long time to secure a hook because you are simply doing something that is inefficient. Yes, the killer is a "Pig" where (s)he can cause survivors to waste time by mending but that's not good enough to justify his weak ability to hook survivors. How Can We Make The Legion Better?

1.) When performing a normal M1 attack on a survivor without using your power, you won't drain your power gauge.

    Reasoning:
    (Spoiler)

2.) When using Frenzy on a injured survivor, they will be put into dying state instead of gaining the deep wound status effect.

    Reasoning:
    (Spoiler)

3.) Get rid of the double stun when attacking a survivor with the deep wound status effect. Pick one developers, the fatigue or the attack cool down.

    Reasoning:
    (Spoiler)

4.) The mending action should be considered as a healing action and mending should take the same amount of time as a regular healing action.

    Reasoning:
    (Spoiler)

5.) Show survivor's auras that don't have the deep wound status effect after instead of having a symbol in the direction of where the survivor is at.

    Reasoning:
    (Spoiler)

That's it, yes we may not need all of these changes but we do need most of them to make him better as a killer. Please tell me what you think below with reasoning and justification.

Don't say, "You're playing him/her wrong." Guys I watched a SWF and they weren't sweaty, they was just playing together to have fun. The killer got a few 1k and 2k by spreading the damage, the killer was obviously good but he wasn't able to get hooks easily.

    Hello

Thank you very much for the feedback. Very appreciated, especially the nonsarcastic or positive tone.

Although I can confirm that everything that you mentioned was tested out. Most of the ideas were actually how he was initially. We made him the way he is to give a chance to survivors to escape. He was simply unstoppable and not fun to play against. I will not explain all the reasoning for each point but I can guaranty that the whole design team sat down and discussed those before coming up with the current iteration. (I might explain further in a stream)

I can also confirm that the TR expand to 32M when he applies the Deep Wound effect, it was omitted from the Power description. (extending over 32M was useless and distracting because you did not have time to reach them) Text will be fixed.

We are also reviewing the pallet animation, it was done that way to make it feel good on 1st person, although it has a much bigger impact on gameplay than anticipated. Thank you again!

Thank you for the clarification and transparency! I know you tried REALLY hard to make this killer and I respect that, but he's just off a little off. Watch Monto's video (the bottom one) to see his problems exactly, he just doesn't have a way to secure hooks.

OMG, when will people understand that frenzy isn't a tool made to kill survivors, but to stagger they're by forcing to mend their wounds, and at the same time, revealing other survivors nearby.

Give him/her/them more of a chance, Legion just got out.

    Never. Blinded by 4k greed.

No, no. It's more like "Imusttunnel" syndrome.

The legion is just like the pig as in, it is at your disadvantage to tunnel a single survivor the whole game.

Tell me how you'll down a survivor? By winning a 110% M1 chase (which us difficult because you are very easy to loop) or hope they don't mend? • With your aura-reading, it will be first hit and run, let the survivor mend, only to come back and hit them again to down them. Over that, you also want mending to work as healing, which will take 64 seconds to completely heal themselves with sloppy butcher, not forgetting how fast the killer can attack, move, vault pallets and read auras with Nurses Calling. It's absurd.
To heal with a teammate, it would take 16+16=32 seconds.

To heal by yourself, it would take 16+32=48 seconds.

With sloppy butcher, 20+40=60 seconds to heal by yourself.

I understand where you are coming from but again, these values can be changed. However, I just want more synergy with the killer because he doesn't have much perk synergy.

  • TheBean said:

The idea behind the Fenzy attack making it difficult to down survivors is cause the power is ment to spread the pain around the survivors. Not tunnel one survivor down.

The idea from the survivor side, is that this killer isn't meant to be played as a chaser and tunneler. You frenzy.. spread the hits around.. Then hunt the injured.

You aren't ment to spend the whole time chasing the same survivor while frenzied. That is why you lose the power if you hit someone who has a deep wound. If you are chasing the survivor to hit them 4 times while in frenzy so you can down them... You are playing the killer wrong. In fact, you are playing them horribly wrong.

You're not getting the point, if you wanna actually down a survivor, you'll have to attack them normally (without Frenzy) when they are injured or let their bleed out bar drain to 0. Both things are extremely difficult since a 110% M1 chase is rather impossible since survivors can get more loops in and a survivor can mend anytime they want.
  • I disagree with being able to down survivors with frenzy but that's it, all the or he changes feel pretty fair.
I feel like Frenzy should down survivors if they are injured not when they are in the BT status effect. I made this change because survivors don't feel like they should heal because a frenzy attack does the same thing regardless if you are healthy or not.

Sorry for the rant but question stands.  When is it okay to dc?
    DC'ing is ACCEPTABLE when:
    Playing against a hacker/lag switcher.
The Game is unplayable due to terrible FPS/High Ping. (You may wanna look at your PC so you can prevent low FPS)
Survivor is being noxiously immersed and holding the game hostage. (They know where the hatch is at but doesn't escape or never touches a generator when the hatch hasn't spawned in)
You are glitched and cannot play the game.
Real life events happen such as a power outage or you accidentally turned off your console.

  • Monto's 2 cents;

Watching monto play this killer made me face palm a few times he just hunted the same survivor for his mori, plus he barely used his power effectively at the right times. Funny when he thought bamboozle would effect pallets. I’d rather take my opinions from Tru3 or Ardetha
You never know, he's just experimenting with ideas. It took a while for people to understand Sloppy and NC doesn't affect the deep wound status effect.

I don't really care about the hatch much and it shouldn't be top priority in my opinion but I do think it could use a rework.
Something that would require the survivor to earn it and prevent killer from just camping it.

I've said the same thing which would prevent someone from hiding all match and then camping it at 3rd sacrifice. But there's a small but vocal minority that feel entitled to a 4th kill and say if they find it 1st they deserve the kill.

But if the survivor finds it 1st it's a free escape according to them despite the double speak and claims tot eh contrary.

It just depends in my opinion @powerbats. A survivor could be hiding all game just to escape through the hatch without working for it besides "I'm the last survivor so I escape!". When I was new, I would let the killer grab me and use DS to force a escape. I want the hatch to be a skilled thing in my opinion.
  • Where would you rank The Legion among the other killers? I'm seeing so many varied opinions on here and on streams.

Well, The Legion is meh... Yes, his power sounds good on paper but he has no way to secure hooks without sacrificing a lot of time. You'd need to hit the survivor 4-5 times with the first one causing BT and the other three to four decreasing the timer to cause the survivor to enter dying state. If you hit and leave, the survivor is gonna mend back to the injured state. If you actually wanna down a survivor, you'll have to classic M1 without using your power which isn't easy because you're a Huntress without hatchets.

Overall, The Legion is just meh... I'll make a DETAILED thread later about his problems and how to make him better.
  • BigBubs said:

Isn't the killer rumored to come out tomorrow on the PTB? Crap I said another rumor lol.

Here's my prediction, the killer will be a kidnapper. He will throw a chain to you and slowly pull you to him for a injection. Once you're in his grasp, the survivor will struggle for a certain amount of time before the survivor gets overwhelmed and gets injected with the blight. Now the survivor will suffer terrible side effects and will need to find the antidote or something.

    *cough* Freddy, leatherface *cough*
Yeah but they are getting buffs soon. Killers aren't as weak as most people make it out to be.
  • No just no these would break them and you would be ignoring the hags background with the th change as she eats people in her lore
    Be more elaborate.
  • Keep her at 110% when she is armed with hatchets, but increase it to 115% when she's all out.
Fantastic idea, as usual, great job @Doc_W__HOLLIDAY!

@Entità The killers sprint burst isn't instant and is lost on los breakers or when breaking said pallets. So everytime the killer has to stop and break that pallet they lose bloodlust completely.

What you're suggesting will make it impossible for any killer other than Nurse or perhaps Spirit to catch them since it's endless pallets.

Good thing I'm learning her right now lol.
  • I seriously hope this is a joke or bait thread.

Change the color so he could actually see something? This is madness!

Hehe I think that's why they didnt make it look more like the movies. They must've been afraid having the dream world in red like that would give him too much of a advantage. It seems most people say freddy is the worst killer but then I see other who feel he's not that bad. So maybe this is all freddy needs for a rework...worth testing out.

My biggest problem with him is that everything is to dark. Can't see anything in dark places. Next thing is the wait time.
Yeah, they really need to change that about Freddy lol.

as we all know the devs are trying to get a total of 2 ultra rare Add-Ons for every killer, so i thought i'd come up with some ideas myself and maybe one or two of them are actually good enough to make it into the game, who knows?

    The Hillbilly
    - Iridescent Chain
when you hit a survivor with your chainsaw, they will suffer greatly from the mangeled and bleeding status effect, until they are healed. they will also suffer from the blindness status effect for the rest of the game.

    -Thompsons Secret Recipice
gives you full controll over your chainsaw, but tremendously increases the stun time for hitting objects.

    The Nurse
    -Sally's Final Breath
allows you to instantly down a survivor when combining 3 or more blinks to hit him. Therefore tremendously increases the nurses stun after a teleportation.

    -Husbands Picture
allows you to add 3 additional blinks to the nurse. does not stack.

    The Huntress
    -Dark Belt
you automatically refill on hatchets. refills 1 hatchet every 10 seconds, until the maximum number of hatchets is reached. when you use a hatchet, the 10 second countdown will start.

    The Cannibal
    -World Best Chili
tremendously reduces the time it takes you to get to your maximum speed while using the chainsaw. also, after destroying a pallet you will not loose your momentum and keep going.

    -Home Made Leather
fills you with great amounts of anger, allowing you to keep your chainsaw walk up for additional 2 seconds, but moderately increases the stun you recieve from hitting an object.

    The Doctor
    -Dr. Otto Stamper's File
your static field becomes map wide, steadily increasing the survivors madness. also your shock therapy range gets increased by 50%. slightly increases the time it takes to charge your shock therapy.

    and thats it ^^
these are the only killers who dont have 2 ultra rares atm.
if you disagree on any of these, please tell me why in the comments, so i can improve and rethink some stuff.
and please dont forget, that ultra rares are supposed to be very powerful and change the game in the killers favor, thats why they are ultra rare.

i would love to hear you guys opinion on this!
have a nice day, and i will see you in the fog!

PS: i left out any lore related stuff, so you can focus on the effects better. obviously, these descriptions wouldnt appear like this in the game ^^
PPS: if you have any better suggestion, feel free to share them with me! I would love to hear your ideas!

Awesome ideas, I would argue for Leather Face needs that add on to be built in to his kit tho lol.
  • Yesterday I had made prestige in a character, and bought several items ... Today I opened the game and lost everything and my level has returned and I no longer have the prestige!

Redeem a ticket and they should get to you shortly.

That would break her. I don't think people understand how valuable movement speed is.

She will be more lethal in a chase but really, a good Huntress will still use her hatchets and wouldn't rely on her M1 capabilities.

Running out of hatchets won't be a game ender since she can now rely on her 115%. Additionally, certain loops, you can't hatchet your way to victory... You'll have to force the pallet down the old fashion way which is the main reason why I think she needs a movement speed increase. If she was able to deal with pallet loops with her hatchets whether it be mind games, good aiming, and etc... She wouldn't need a movement speed increase. That's my reasoning on why she needs a movement speed increase.

I don't really agree with this part. I wholly think Huntress will be overly used for her 115ms M1 to end chases with M2 only used to cripple them with her generously outdated Exhaustion addons.

I don't think skilled Huntress players should have any problems with loops. Most loops in the game are unsafe, especially against her, and the biggest "problem" in loops is the fact that her fat ass hatchet hitbox gets caught on objects. Arguably, I don't think people want realism in hatch hitbox because it'll be much harder to hit players.

Her weakness of having to reload hatchets should stay this way. She is countered by prolonged juking followed by stealth, and both sides are rewarded for being skillful.

She simply lacks the most in her map presence, especially in maps with lots of LoS breakers. Making her OP and noob-friendly with movement speed is not the way to fix this.

I had an idea on how they should rework the hatchet hit box to make her more of force to be reckoned with. There should be two invisible spheres at the center of the hatchet with one of the two spheres being tremendously bigger and the other being really small. The big sphere will detect if it comes in contact with a survivor (hit registering) while the small sphere will detect if it comes in contact with a object (collision). This means less collision due to your hatchet collision hit box being too big while the hit detection for survivors remain the same. See where I'm coming from?
  • That would break her. I don't think people understand how valuable movement speed is.

Movement Speed is amazing for killers but I can argue a movement speed increase for the Huntress with some reasoning.

She will be able to travel points on the map more faster which isn't a problem since survivors already know when she's coming.

  • Nurse should be s+
I agree, if you get a God nurse with omegablinks... SWF or not, you're gonna 4k everytime because you have so much control lol.
