  • if you snuff coh then even if they were a frame away then by the time coh is back up they will have lost that progress AND spend 24 seconds further healing themself all over again. Dude sloppy butcher is back with a vengeance!

  • Hey, as long as you express your creativity, it's all good!

    It's an absolute joke.

Dead Hard, along with the complete nonsensical high number of pallets means chasing and downing a survivor before 2 of 3 gens are done is close to impossible.

The devs have made this game completely miserable for killers. Congrats.

I pretty much REFUSE to play killer without corrupt. Early game is so brutal it feels like a building collapsing on me.

Everytime when I'am playing against Bubba he always is focusing on me, he facecamps me,chases me and worst of them he tunnels me if you don't have dead hard you're screwed.I've had enough of him .

Btw please I would love to see Stranger things back in dbd and see rework for RCPD or even deleated it.

  • Well you gotta not just play but play to get those points. I'm kind of anxious so I spend that first week trying to get every early unhook, patching teammates, doing 2.5 gens of repairs, ect. Trying to max as many emblems I can (even if I should do something else at that time) because I want my mil in the bank fast so I can chill until the 13th.

Sadly. But imagine having to program an AI for each single killer, for them to use their powers (and perks) effectively.. I doubt we'll ever see that anytime soon.

I just wish I COULD equip whatever perks i wanted to in a kill the/survive with bots just for fun game. Just so I can see if I like the perk, if it were easy to use, how often I may be in its niche, ect. Just without sandbagging my team or screwing myself as killer. Variety is the spice of life and DBD has so many meta defining "security blanket" and "crutch" perks that it's hard to experiment and do well.

    1. RPD
    2. Lery's
    3. There are no other maps I hate as both killer AND survivor so there's no "Bronze medal of failure" to me.
  • I love kate, hate Nea. Yeah... That's right Entity, I hate your stand in avatar you use to participate in your own sick game. Fight me!

  • people have wanted a vampire and this would be a great license for one. Maybe Buffy will be a paragraph and a vampire will be an original? You know how some survivors have perks that can counteract their respective killer's perks? (I.E. Freddy has remember me and Quentin has wake up) what if we get a new chapter, map and survivor and then like a month later we get Buffy and she has perks that will just massively screw over one or more of their's? Wouldn't that be epic?

  • Trapper while not strong is very unique and rewards smart play without a complex power that punishes until you figure out to use it. (uh...hrm...nurse... hyuk) Trapper is well designed, satisfying and fun to play. Slow start is unfortunate but almost anyone can get obliterated early game without corrupt anyone can be obliterated at the start. Trapper has a power that rewards strategy, is simple to understand and can keep survivors at any skill level in check. Trapper is in my opinion one of if not THE best designed killers in the game and a great blueprint of how to design killers.

I can't believe booping the snoot isn't part of the survivor tutorial!

it's because Trapper bot 1.0 is the only bot they have so far

In that case, they should just remove Tantrum addons.

If you want to see deference in Tantrum duration you need use combination of 2 addons. It's garbage.

Well, they're fine for people learning the killer and those who want to agressively go for chainsaws knowing if they screw up it's less penalizing. Perfectly warrented.

  • @Marcavecunc said:

I'll play favourite and let whoever I want escape, thankyouverymuch.

And how would the game know that I let someone escape? They could have just wiggled off on their own and been better at that very last chase and gotten away with it.

Seriously, you see people whining about the killer not letting the last one go, and then there's you, wishing for the killer to murder every last one of you.

But you have a picture of Jeff, you're just jealous 'cause you're never the chosen one.

Only if they know that they have to boop the snoot, right?

  • Vigil might actually be better now since there are odd ons for killers that cause temporary hemorrhaging.

  • I think the tantrum mechanic if is fine and lowering it is ok but not REMOVING it. If i tantrum it's because i was reckless and greedy. If i screw up from that I SHOULD be punished even WITH add ons to reduce it.

  • if by "all killers and survivors." You mean base game then yes. I have 9 maxed out tier 3 survivors and 2 killers at tier 3 but not with all perks and everyone else having barely hit level 50 and i'm getting close to devotion 12.

Theres a hidden stamina mechanic I think, the more you run the louder your breathing and moans are (in actual volume, not in % so perks that reduce it dont really affect it). If you've dropped the killer stop running and crouch to quieten.

Of course some of the survivors are loud as ######### anyway.

If you want a 5th secret perk slot with iron will tier 2 play as Ace Visconti

  • Ok, so it showed incorrectly temporarily. After restarting the game it showed the correct value. That was a visual. My apologies.

Might be that the hemorrhaged rework benefits the killers but it still doesnt adress a lot of issues that ppl are having with this game. Tunneling meta is still present both for killers and survs, no looking at gen speeds and nothing about queue times, sbmm, dead hard and other issues. Its the old BHV approach: Give ppl something unrelated and try to sell it as groundbreaking and cool. And then in their minds everyone goes "OMG Hemorrhaged rework, exactly what I was waiting for; THKS BHV; Im coming back to play killer and to buy every available skin in the shop now cause I love this game now". At least thats how I imagine it plays out in their minds

killers found hemorrhage useless. Also, what did survivors get at all in this? There were 2 killer buffs and a hemorrhage rework. Tunnel/ping pong meta could only be solved by eliminating the 3 stage and reworking sacrifices entirely and a dead hard rework is possibly in the works. You gotta be realistic here. I never said this was a miracle. I said this patch gives more to killers than survivors.

In my entire time of playing DBD I've never had a survivor heal themselves whilst in a chase, is this a low tier MMR thing?

dude, I'm referring to you get close so they stop and relocate because they don't want you to follow their grunts of pain.

  • how about this? When you bless the totem you get x tokens, for every heal completed in range you lose 1 token. If all tokens are consumed the boon fizzles, if the killer snuffs it you lose all tokens. If you begin blessing a new totem while you have one active, you lose all tokens. I think that's fair.

  • dude, we JUST got the hemorrhaged rework announced. If you run sloppy survivors can not abuse resilience and if you scare someone healing away. they lose progress while relocating. This is a VERY killer sided midchapter. And even if you don't like legion or ghostface the hemorrhaged rework is a huge improvement.

Will his detection system be receiving any tweaks or changes?

It's one of the most frustrating mechanics when facing him and I think most people would agree it doesn't seem to work properly

the clunkyness is why ghostface is my least favorite killer to play as AND against.

    Kinda of yes but no

I want to play Killer mostly at late nights, idk why I just feel like it.

But I keep getting SUPER MEGA sweat squads at late nights, teams that play nearly perfect with 4 items (most of them purple or insane addons) that just play to win. I dont feel like playing against that so when I get tired of it I play survivor abit in hopes to kill some time till those squads stop playing. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.

If I keep getting super sweaties I just quit dbd and play something else.

Thats how every night looks like for me. Well I actually am taking a break atm from dbd, I played maybe 3-4 games this entire week, I am mainly playing 7 days with some mates and we enjoy it pretty hard so ye I am happy to take a break atm.

remember that I presented "a reason" and not "THE reason."

  • I decided on an altruism-based build of empathy, botany knowledge, we'll make it and desperate measures. I would have my teammates patched up super-fast after unhooks, find teammates in need of heals and even take a hit to give teammates with less hook states time to escape to prevent the killer from getting a kill too early. Since I brought an emergency med-kit with gels and gauze I managed to patch myself quickly and numerous times. The killer would try (and fail at) continuing their chase and when they decided to go for me instead guess who patched themselves very quickly. My medkit eventually ran out but I still found a teammate thanks to empathy to keep myself patched up for plays. Eventually we get a 4E and the killer messages me claiming I used aura reveals and speed heal hacks. Nope... All legit. Every rpg player knows that you gotta take the cleric out first.

  • i got something better in my case, NO DEAL HOWIE!

  • I always thought that in the case of nemesis getting in it would be his power. He'd switch from normal to RPG stance at the press of a button. Nemesis would move slower (possibly equal to or slower than survivors) but shoot a short range rocket. The rocket would be slower than huntress's hatchets but have a few very powerful effects

    1. a survivor hit by the rocket would be put into the dying state
    2. A vault hit by the rocket becomes un useable for awhile (killer and survivor can't vault it
    3. A dropped pallet hit by the rocket is destroyed
    4. A survivor near a rocket when it explodes is damaged for 1 health state
    5. A generator hit by the rocket begins regressing

What do you think of this for an irri? Upright pallets in the blast radius of a rocket are dropped immediately.

  • I was happy with wraith before his most recent nerfs. They did my boy so dirty I don't play him anymore. Fs in chat

  • The Headless horseman and a giant spider

  • I will not play any killer without corrupt intervention anymore. Start of trial is SUPER DUPER bad and near impossible to recover from.

  • Do you remember the dark ages when "exhaustion perks" were just a cooldown and hook sabotages were permanent? Pepper Ridge farm remembers...

  • vaults are slower for killers on purpose. This is so there are weak, strong and god windows that can be mind gamed and played around. Survivors and killers are SUPPOSED to think of how each of them will play a window. If you want to get around them the perks bamboozle and Hex: Crowd control will do wonders for you.

Again based on what you said... If the killer ping pongs and ignores you but 3 people still got out while only managing a single kill, all survivors gain rank because 3 escaped. How is that telling you that you failed exactly?

If he kills 2 people then nobody moves. The game was a draw.

If he kills 3 then you did fail. Even if you get the hatch.

Well hatch escapes are neutral currently and I have no problem with that as it is. If you get out the gate but your teammates all died well you're one person who made it and I see it as a squeaker of success and should grant minimally.

3 escaped and you and the dead survivor got a rank up. I don't see your issue

YOU had an issue with it. You don't see measuring a win based on did you and others survive

  • @Zozzy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2869408#Comment_2869408

That's the point. Your singular ability to survive doesn't matter. It's your teams ability to survive and what you do to help each other and get as many out as you can that matters.

This could be you distracting the killer all game while the other 3 do gens and escape, or you running in to take hits and get clutch saves during end game etc.

If someone is on death hook then it is more beneficial for you to run in and body block the killer, even go down and force them to hit you twice. Than it is for you to sit on a gen and ignore it like the current system promotes.

To determine whether someone's ratings to improve or drop it needs hard facts of data to look at. That's why I think a system based off your survival number of teammates survived should be used. You can't pop gens while being the distraction. You're saying that if the killer ping pongs, kills one of those people, ignores your attempts to take a late chase and you finish the last gen while one person dies you're putting it as "you failed to save your teammate, that's bad for your skill rating." Killers can, will and should ignore one survivor. They need to hook someone to get someone else off the gen. "Hook 4 survivors once, then 4 a second time and have hooks 9-12 be your kills is just not viable. If the killer does not spread hook states around to no more than 3 survivors they will not consistently do well. Killers need to aim for their first kill being at about hook number 7. Plain and simple and both mains and occasional killer players know this.

You have 5 ways of winning vs 3 where you lose points.. no

Survivors need to learn to lose and get use to it. Your idea still promotes being selfish and banging out gens asap with minimal interaction with the killer. My idea and they way idv does it promotes the team to protect each other and get as many out as possible.

Well, if it doesn't mix the two you get a scenario where it doesn't value your ability to survive. I think your survival should hold more weight than that of your teammates but not to a point of just your survival like it is now. If you die it shouldn't reward much if it all but if only you survive it shouldn't be a big win.

  • there are essentially 2 play styles to survivor stealth and aggro. Sometimes you want the killer to chase you and other times you want to hide. How and when you use these vs how the killer plays is what makes the game fun.

  • wouldn't the killer just proxy the outside and go back in though?

  • I think it should be a mix of "did you survive?" As well as how many teammates survived. How do you like this?

    Everyone lives=max points

You and two others=very high points

    You and one other=high points

    Only you=moderate points

    Everyone except you=low points

You and 1 other dies= no points

You and 2 others die=lose points

    4k=lose a lot of points.

After the drop of the new Haddonfield map images, I really want to get word to the team that the numbers on the house are wrong, and are actually the street numbers for a replica Myers house in North Carolina.

A simple Google or watching Halloween 2 clearly indicates Michael's home address as 45 Lampkin Lane. The number on the house should simply be 45. That's lore accurate.

However, both DBD and Funko Pops have tacked the number 1520 onto their Myers houses. This number is the address to a replica Myers house in NC (and the owner of it is kind of a huge dicc who doesn't deserve to be an Easter egg in the game).

It just seems like someone googled the Michael Myers house and used the first image they saw rather than being accurate to the franchise. The house in the first film didn't even have numbers on the front, so omitting the numbers completely would also be better than having the wrong address.

Hopefully someone can get this to the design team so we can see the correct Myers house. <3

true but every killer can pair it with distressing or m&A for more vaule

  • I just want to interact with glyphs without needing to uncloak

  • I think if you escape a chase without getting hit you should get an untouched bonus of 300-500 in survival and you escape without EVER losing even 1 state you should get a 3,000 bonus for unscathed. Maybe if all other survivors die you should get a last man standing event of 1,000. Survival needs more scoring events.
