Is this a topic of things we're tired of in the game? If so, I'm beyond exhausted of the KILLER LAG ADVANTAGE!! It will never be fair or balanced when The Killer has a tremendous and often unknown lag advantage over Survivors. It's painful and unfun, match after match getting fake hits because Bvhr continues to tolerate and permits "hits being handled on the Killer's end."
do you remember two thirds of platforms chugging like a frat boy whenever dead hards happened? I do...

I’m not saying dead hard isn’t annoying, but most people don’t get all The Shining over the place.
heeeeeere's dead hard!

Myers, worst killer...undeniable

if you have arachnophobia then why doesn't the entity's claw or the image for play with your food bother you?

Unlikely.
There would be 5 'This Is Not Fine People Have Arachnophobia Be Better BHVR' thinkpieces penned on Kotaku within the day.
For a long time they didn't want to make a clown do to coulrophobia so...

A least you have full control. Why does Pyramid head need to send people to the cage when POTD hits would work just fine as a challenge?

but you can bait dead hard. but i agree the hit validation makes it horrible to play against
You can't bait it during the times where it's in such a busted state where they can always wait, invalidate a hit and gain even more distance. Not to mention the time it severely damaged the frame rate on multiple platforms. PLEASE get rid of this god awful perk.
-
dead hard (especially at some of its worst incarnations) has made killer absolute hell to play at times. When it was activating constantly to invalidate your hits it just felt impossible! You just can't pressure all these gens and eliminate a survivor fast enough when 2+ people run it every game sometimes.
-
ping pong strat. I mean it feels like you ping pong or you lose.

Grabs suck as a rift challenge. Just sayin

The trophy has super dumb requirements.
The survivor who gets injured has to get hit at leat 16m away from me, and when I heal them, I have to be within 16m of where I was when they were initially hit.
So in short, just cutting them off with empathy wouldn't work.
just play normal until you get it. I'm 1/3 there without even trying.
-
they're using an irri and rolling the dice to get a kill that happens extraordinarily rarely. It's not the brightest strategy, it won't happen often and you should just be interested in getting a unique experience. I've seen LOTS of pigs due to the latest rift and NEVER seen this happen. If a killer does something campy i just shrug it off knowing they aren't going to get many kills unless someone pulls a stoop.
-
you could run empathy and cut them off. That sound good to you?
-
I think he should be able to regress a gen but it takes a few seconds longer and he dies. (unable to proc perks like overcharge or pop goes)

The devs mentioned in the last Q&A that they’re looking into DH, and they don’t like it being used for distance.
yeah, in the Q&A they eluded to an idea of the perk not working if not timed well to evade a hit. It really shouldn't grant immunity to bear traps and trails. I hope they are reworking it and I hope that with that they have done a pretty good job so far...

Nurse is NOT the unstoppable SS+ tier powerhouse some people say she is. The best Nurse players in the world can still rue the day they were born if smart and skilled players can use the environment correctly. Nurse MUST play reactionary so as a survivor you need to force them to play prediction wise. Nothing is more fun for me than outsmarting a Nurse and using the environment in ways I can't against other killers. Is Nurse strong when played well? Yes. Can you outplay a master Nurse player and utterly destroy them? Yes. She's the most unique killer and whether it's a great player or somebody who is still learning I almost always have a fantastic time.

@Mandy said:
"working with the killer" would mean that both players were actively working together to get you killed and the killer not touch the person who was working with them.
From the description that you gave, it's very hard to tell. There are a few reasons for refusing a heal - for example, I regularly run Spine Chill & Resilience, it's incredible how many players get off gens and try to heal someone instead of focusing on the gen, even though I'm clearly working on that gen. I've normally 99'd my heal already so would tap the heal if I needed it in a chase for example, but that extra vault speed I get with Spine Chill means I can avoid doing that until I'm about to get hit.
Well this person in particular had no perks to benefit from this and actively gave away their team members positions. I'm certain that they were being a deadweight on purpose.

Could be or could be new to the game. Playing as killer I am seeing many players that appear to be learning the game. I have been backing off and letting them escape if they seen to be learning. Still chasing them and hitting them however.
It's been a few year however I still remember playing as survivor and not understanding some things. Especially how to remove a reverse bear trap, how it activates and so forth.
This guy was a twitch streamer. They KNEW...
-
Well the biggest problem with playing as killer is you either tunnel/ping pong or you lose. You can not hook 4 survivors once, then hook 4 different survivors a 2nd time and then death hook them. You will get consistently destroyed unless you go full lion, find the weaker 2 and take them out ASAP. It's just that simple!
-
Maybe they should lower the amount of time to reach the next sacrifice stage by 10 seconds in the next PTB and see if that makes things a little more balanced. It doesn't sound like much but hook state economy is the heaviest weight survivors need to balance.
-
Nurse was disabled because of a bug. DH is bugged so disable it for awhile.

I’ll be honest, I can’t imagine it not being Trapper. He’s the closest to a normal human looks wise out of the three, and rocks a pretty basic mask making it immediately obvious that he is the killer. The other two are a bit more complex looking without a doubt.
However, the fact that Billy has his map based on a farm and himself being based around a farmer, albeit deformed, I feel he would better represent the game than Wraith for eeriness.
I would imagine the art would be either Hillbilly revving up the chainsaw or Wraith half appeared/disappeared while ringing the bell. Both of these would be scary and creepy in a way.

3 most popular reasons listed in no particular order
- This player was toxic (E.G. Tea bagging after a pallet stun)
- This cancels the rest of their scream.
- It's their death hook and they want to relish in their success.
-
Don't get pallet greedy, abuse windows and find the jungle gyms
-
Killer expects you to balance a ton of different things at once and perks like dead hard, iron will and decisive strike are very annoying to be bombarded with every match. It's true that as a survivor you may need to make choices to balance everything out but it is nowhere near the mental gymnastics that the killer is constantly putting themselves through.
-
ghostface. The power doesn't even feel like it works correctly so it feels like you get punished for doing what you're supposed to do to stop their power (least favorite to play AS for the same reasons)
-
@anarchy753 said:
It would be easy to abuse if it did detect the difference because you could just pull the plug.
Also, if your internet drops out frequently enough that you're getting long disconnect penalties, it means you're out there ruining games regularly for your teammates and the killer, so you're as much of a pain to have in the team as someone who rage quits.
This happens to me only after long loading screens, maybe once every 200+ games
-
@Mandy said:
You are correct that the game does not distinguish between someone deliberately disconnecting and someone who intentionally does it and that's because it would be very easy to abuse if it did. Therefore there is no other option but to treat disconnects all the same way, which includes the disconnection penalty as well.
You gotta see that a player being punished for something out of their control is quite cruel to them
-
Show me an irri huntress with no dead hards, spine chills, iron wills, decisive strikes or borrowed times bitching about everything and THEN i'll believe you. Clown with common add ons is very strong though so good on you for that.
-
dude, one missed skill check wins the game for the killer anyway, leave a gen at the wrong at the wrong time or coh gets snuffed at a bad time and that's it, killer wins, simple as that. Also can technician get kill switched? Only noobs and trolls use it. The people who need it you never want to see it on them and when you're doing the high priority gen and some Steve misses check after check on purpose you wish this perk had never been reworked.
-
the fact of the matter is that without "The ping pong method" a killer WILL LOSE. If the killer hooks everyone once and then everyone a second time and gets their first kill on their 9th hook they have already lost the match. A killer must have their first kill by no later than their 6th or 7th hook.
-
You practically have to cripple your team to get this done. I DESPISED this challenge
-
Dead hard, if you don't time it well and avoid the attack you become exhausted without the temporary invulnerability or distance. Still a strong effect but you need to earn it similar to lithe or balanced. The abuse of this perk and strength from lack of smart play is horrendous. It's all reward and no risk.
-
Early game is where the killer is at their weakest. Without corrupt it is fairly likely that one or even two generators can pop before the killer finds and downs their first survivor. There are only two "help you at the beginning" perks, corrupt and lethal pursuer. The number 1 thing that helps a killer is more time. This is why corrupt is good and fairly popular.

If we were lore accurate, the survivor would be crazy op and easily outrun any killer. A lot of people don't realize how soft we humans have gotten, our ancestors ran for miles with heavy weaponry in the blistering heat of Africa to catch prey.
I've never seen a survivor's stamina crap out on them before

So much work, so much effort to make dead hard work properly. It doesn't work well with certain killer's powers so they will fix it FOR EACH power... why? why so much work for one of the most hated and frustrating perk in the game? Why hit validation? Why special coding for each power? Why?
On other side, NOED, which can easily give you 3-4k you do not deserve is untouched as well. Current mmr system is based on kills and there is perk which gives free kills and screws mmr for both killer and survivors.
Im pretty sure there is an agreement between two devs. One loves noed and one loves dead hard and nobody wants to remove their beloved perks so if they're not removing dead hard, noed stays too
inb4 just do bones 🤡
inb4 just bait it out 🤡
Cool story bro

Graveyard, sewer and prison

Stake out is underrated. This perk will save you a lot of time against all non stealth killers except huntress and it can be devastating paired with fast track. It can also be used for healing builds or for progression bonuses on medkit self heals. This perk is slept on big time. I use a build of situational awareness, prove, stake and fast track with an emergency medkit with gels and a sponge and it makes you one fast and cruel mutha F-
-
As much as people talk about the strength a great nurse player has there's still baiting. Line of site breaks and the use of certain perks (like light weight, lucky break or dance with me) that can be devastating when used well. Spirit completely takes that away.

I think sara michelle gellar would be open to her likeness being in dbd.
-
I say Leatherface. Brutal and very true the source material.
-
You gotta remember that this is the smallest map so you compare hooks here to say redwood forest there's going to be differences
-
legion's power can be used for quick traversal AND fast first hit. They are FINE!
-
I think iron will shouldn't ENTIRELY negate the effects of stridor.
-
Trapper and hag's powers are crap shoots so how is this so significantly different. If a killer wants to take a big RNG risk then let them
-
I think only licensed chapters with distinct, iconic locations will get any

small map, indoor, multi-storied, long hallways, few safe pallets.
