Thing is, he is really bad.
No he is not, you just don't know how to play him probably.

Jeez dude, calm down.
Lol i'm calmed, it was just a way to show how surprised i was.

I personally think it's an exploit, yeah but at the same time they are forcing you to "camp", so i don't really know what to think about that.

Darn, really thought ppl would agree with clown being the worst killer in the game. Guess we all have our opinions ;)
Clown is far from being the worst killer, tf are u talking about?

I was once up for about 5 days straight. That trip to Germany was really good :)

But it's not supposed to be devastating to the gen progress. The whole of kicking a gen is to simply STOP it where it is, and then let it regress over time as it does. If that's not good enough for you, you have to use those perks.
It would be cheap if kicking the gen had a kind of built in Pop goes the weasel effect because that perk by itself is already strong.
You make the decision as the killer when to kick a gen. Maybe you hear a gen started but no one is currently on it, so you kick it, circle the area once or twice to see if you can find anyone, and then move on so you keep pressure on. In that time, it will have regressed a little which is all it SHOULD do.
I didn't say it should have a devastating effect, i just said that the regress should be a bit faster.
Why? Because survivors just need to tap that gen to stop that regress which costs 3 seconds to the killer to perform it (which is enough to reach the next loop)
-
@RakimSockem said:
Not at all. If you feel it doesn't regress enough, use the two perks you mention. The regression speed is fine
Current regress speed makes kicking the gen not worth it, unless it's close to be finished and patrol around it. And by doing that you lose pressure on other areas.
If kicking the gen took less time by default it would be ok, but that's not how it works right now.

@DBDbuildsYT said:
I agree and I would also buff brutal strength like +30% breaking action and 5% gen regression or something like that.
Omg yes, 30% on brutal strenght would be perfect. Currently it's a meh/ok perk (which i use on some killers), buffing it to 30% would make it perfect and balanced towards other good perks.

Except, the objective is so easy to do. That's the problem. If it were harder to get the gates powered, I don't think anyone would have a problem.
Believe me, it is only easy when the killer is bad. I've seen "low tier" killers performing like a god tier killer.
I'm not saying game is perfectly balanced, but it's much better than some people think.
-
Yeah, should regress a bit faster.
Overcharge is crap btw.

@My_Farewell the issue with adrenaline is that it is both an extended speed boost and insta heal, at this point, I play mostly SWF and more often that not am the one who loops the killer. When I'm told that they are about to pop last gen I get to safely say that I can A. loop the killer longer until the gates are open and B. escape from them with the HUGE speed boost that I get. Which is completely unfair to the killer, it should be a case of one or the other, not borh for the single perk slot.
It is NOT unfair since it's a reward for completing your main objective and a punishment to the killer for failing at completing their main objective.
You know what's funny? I still remember when people used to complain about the old DS saying that rewarded survivors for losing the chase, meaning that rewarded failure.
Apparently now they don't like rewards for being succesful either...

@Ember_Hunter said:
Okay, I am worried. Everything looks right and I agree with majorities, but do people really think Adrenaline needs a nerf? O.o
Only people who usually is unable to kill a single survivor before they pop the last gen and see all 4 getting healed by adrenaline xD

@wisdomwielder said:
Wowee, look at all these survivor mains.
Before the changes to Legion, borrowed time was still considered a viable perk. That alone is enough to tell me that some change is warranted. If they just revert it to how it was and not link it to the deep wound mechanic, it would be fine again.
Vocal majority who only plays half of the game BE DAMNED.
Can't speak for the others but i play both roles, sometimes more as a survivor and sometimes more as a killer, and still think BT is fine.
-
Wish i was 22 again. Happy birthday anyway.
-
No, BT is fine.
-
Yes, i pointed this Claudette when i was being chased because she barely did anything during the whole match and killer spared my life :)
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MdXBblS_hxM -
Both are fine, no need to nerf them.
-
Oh oh, that guy got rekt.
-
Idk, but i personally think that both kindred and bond are a must as a solo survivor. Kindred is more important than bond if they wanna run a different build.

Ok, why am I still hearing this zombie-argument a year after it first spawned? It's true that not all survivors play optimally and in SWF premades; it doesn't matter though because killers are not judged by the same standards. This is a complete non sequiter to the discussion we were having.
The other argument, that someone can't criticise how Adrenaline works in the game whilst there is NOED, is the basement-level standards I was criticising earlier. These are appallingly bad-faith arguments.
You know exactly what is wrong with it and don't need it spelled out.
Jeez it's like talking to a wall π
Ok dude i get it, you are just another killer main who can't handle losing. Nothing wrong with that (i guess).
Bye bye π

Yes, it's just that you're not really saying anything. Totems are an optional objective, ones which survivors take a risk in ignoring.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/613879#Comment_613879
It's not a big part of EGC at all. Hatch-closing was in it's own PTB and worked perfectly fine without EGC. I also don't 'need data' to tell me anything: you're the one making a claim based on data which you either have no access to or have so far not felt the need to actually share it.
I have talked about EGC plenty of times before and it's largely the same discussion: split between people who don't have an argument and people who think as you do that the most important thing is that '99% of people' agree with you. I don't think group-think is something to be particularly proud of though.
Regarding the rest of your post: I will not repeat myself, you can go read what I said the first time and respond to it properly.
Difference is that not all survivors are 4 swf squad so they don't know what the others did, while killers are on their own and are aware of their progress.
Not always they decide to ignore totems, sometimes they need to prioritize gens because the game is not going so well for them.
Again, gens are a must BY DEFAULT.
And just for the record, i don't have anything against noed. I just find it funny when people complain about Adrenaline but defend Noed at the same time.
-
Trapper is quite a good and underrated killer, the only problem i see with him is that he is perk dependant.
I run corrupt intervention, ruin, thrilling tremors (basically a gen protector build) because, if i can set enough traps before they manage to finish the gens, that's an easy 3 or 4K for me.
-
Β Let people enjoy themselves.
Ok that sounds weird π

You're not 'letting me know anything'. If a killer decides they have an objective, then they do. There is no reason to accept ideas about what an objective is that are imposed.
It's the miserably low standards of argument I was criticising, but if people cling to them there's not much to say.
Again, gens are a must objective for survivors, totems ARE NOT a must objective for the killer.
Can you see the difference now?
-
You can play however you want mate.
As a killer i personally avoid many of the things you listed, not because i want to be fair, but because other reasons.
I only run noed for giggles, other than that i got better builds to run.
I don't tunnel or use moris (except for the dailies) because that usually means less bps. Same with broken op addons.
I don't camp because i always assume i'm playing against good survivors and that means less bps as well.
Anyway, glad that you are having fun and don't take this game too seriously since it's just that, a game.

That's the point. I made an argument that is very flawed, to illustrate how easy it is.
So you think that the argument of earning a perk by completing gens (survivors main objective) is flawed?
If you got that opinion then so be it, but i'll let you know something... Protecting totems is not killer's objective, so the only thing that seem flawed to me is your reasoning.

Anyone can have a discussion based on bottom-scraping standards. Here, let me try:
Killers earn NOED by successfully protecting their totems.
You know what's wrong with that argument. You know what's wrong with your argument. The rest is up to you.
Still confused, please clarify because doesn't make much sense tbh.

Congratulations on being so bad that you think Tombstone is a problem. I guess Survivors still struggle with thinking, so they just cry OP.
I'm talking about the way they trigger those perks. Adrenaline triggers by doing your job, noed triggers by failing at doing your job.
Repairing gens doesn't take skill when killer sucks, i agree.
-
@SnakeSound222 said:
Remove the instant heal and have it not ignore Exhaustion. Instant heals take zero skill and should be completely removed from the game.
Survivors need to finish the gens in order to trigger Adrenaline.
You know what takes no skill? Noed. Actually it takes the opposite :)

The killer is not your tour guide
Leatherface from yesterday running Iron grasp and Agitation most certainly looked like a tour guide!

Game would be so boring otherwise.

I love it when all of them are Feng Min.

Remove the heal keep the speed boost
Wow, do 5 gens and get a speed boost for 5 seconds. Such a great deal!

I wouldn't.

This thread was moved to crying feedback, why is it back to general discussions?
-
I'm confused.
-
Perfect game as a survivor is when i tbag the killer at the exit gate.
-
Lmao no.
-
Small game: remove cooldown and/or be able to tell the difference between traps and totems.
-
Leave last gen at 99 and throw a pebble to the other survivor π
