DS already has its disadvantages. Just faced a Wraith and a Ghostface who went against 3 of us with DS, 2 of us in the GF game and both of them never even got DS’d and 4k’d/3k’d. It’s not that hard to avoid. If you don’t want to avoid it, then take the stun and continue on with your chase.
Ok, but DS in a locker is absolute BS. Scott Jund has suggested a great change in his latest video on "the small pp build" of unbreakable and DS.

I think people just don't know how to play this map, it's the most balanced map in game in my opinion.
There are very strong loops, but if the killer breaks the walls it change the loops to be less safe.
There are no dead zone, there is a pallet in every room.
I don't understand why people don't like this map, I think they just don't know the map well
Wrong. There is a room just filled with desks and seats and no pallets or vaults.

Bold of you to assume that they need to answer to the likes of you. Know your place.

Let me call in @Dr_Loomis for this one, since he probably has a thing or two to say about this. Anyway, no you don't speak for the community. This game will lose all of its dignity when they add lingerie cosmetics into the game.

Thank you for explaining. Side note dbd doesnt really have a story either. It has some lore here and there but thats pretty much it.
True, but dbd is a multiplayer game unlike fnaf. I enjoy the lore of dbd quite a bit actually.
-
No. Fnaf is the cheapest horror game out there. This is my opinion, so here I go. It just relies on its jumpscares, and don't come at me with how the story is amazing. The story is absolute garbage, and way too bloated and all over the place for it to even be half decent. Saying a story is good because of how complex it is, would be like saying a song with a screwdriver in a glass bottle, a laundry machine and a drill being played all at once is masterful. Every game is the same, night gaurd, use cameras etc etc. The games are so unoriginal that the scares fail almost all the time. Jumpscares are soooo predictable, and the animatronics just look silly. My opinion though ;).
-
The only perks I consider second chance are dead hard, unbreakable and decisive strike. Adrenaline and deliverance will reward you for playing well, even if they are a bit too powerful. Dead hard unbreakable and DS reward mistakes.
-
Unfortunately, those survivors are the cream of the crop or the top 1%. A team like that can make winning impossible against most killers (including Freddy).
-
What the (censored) did I just read? LOL! Demi la vado, ha!

Just hide, if he gets a noti and he is coming from across the map, you have ample time to hide.

So, here's my idea: not all the killers may really enjoy what they do. Let's think about, for instance, the wraith. He got insane after Discovering that he obliviously killed tens, maybe hundreds of people in the autohaven demolitions. Then he killed the one responsible and created a weapon out of his remains. The nurse had some trauma and killed the people at the hospital. And now, to use her power she has to suffer some incredible pain.
What do you think? Imho, some killers are not exactly happy to do what they do. They may, somehow, be forced by the entity. I would love to hear for you which killers are unwilling to slaughter survivors, and why you think so.
Cheers my friends.
I doubt wraith or spirit ever wanted to be in the entity's realm. Wraith never willingly killed any of the people and was unaware of it, imagine how pissed he is to have killing as his job (he might like being invisible though). My theory on how spirit got into the entity's realm is that Oni was taken first (chronologically), and Rin was taken because they are ancestors.

My build is as follows
BBQ / Thrilling, Pop, Corrupt / infectious, Save the best for the last
Pop and BBQ/Thrilling are a great synergy and i don't think pop can perform well without either.
Save the best for the last cause you know why, super aggressive demos need this
Im not sure about the 4th perk, should i make it corrupt to give me time to set up portals or infectious to increase my assault game
Listen, I may not be a demo main, but I don't think infectious would work well with him. Demo doesn't have good snowball at all, but if you want to run it, run it. Corrupt is absolutely amazing on demo, as it gives you time to set up some portals.

I would prefer having Kurt Barlow from Salem's Lot as he is probably the most iconic vampire of recent times (1980s). So I'm not counting dracula.

As is right now, it is too easy to tunnel someone out of the game as Pyramid Head, get them into torment then hook them, come back to the hook, down them then cage them and then go to the cage and kill them. I feel like BT and DS should work with cages so that he can’t get away with tunneling as much.
DS and BT aren't anti tunnel perks as the devs said. Tunneling isn't even a bad thing, it's the most optimal choice for a killer to down the injured person, slug them and chase. It's the survivor's fault if the killer tunnels, because of how much the survivors will dive bomb a hook, it's so easy to prevent tunneling without DS and BT, such as bodyblocking.
-
I've only watched the first 2 episodes of supernatural, it's kind of boring. Does it get better?

Yes, we should. It would make killer feel less stressful and make the game more interesting.
-
I have 3 mains. I use pop, monitor, infectious and barbeque on Oni. Pop to slow the game down, infectious to snowball, monitor to let me get the first hit and it also works with infectious, barbeque to find out where to use my power. For hag, I use monitor, corrupt, make your choice and sloppy butcher. Monitor, because hag has a small terror radius. Corrupt to set up my web. Make your choice to teleport back to the hook and hit the unhooker and insta down them. Sloppy, because I hit a lot of people. For wraith, I use corrupt, pop, sloppy and thrilling tremors. Corrupt, to slow the game down, and allow me to find survivors, pop because it synergises well with thrilling, so I know what gen to go to. Sloppy because wraith is a hit and run killer.

No. Haddonfield, blood lodge, fractured cowshed and Ormond are all way worse.

Hello again. You’ve been freed from Jail :D (I think? Forgive me if that wasn’t you) YAY. But correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t her skin glisten kind of like a glittery type of aura around her when she phases? Or was this removed?
Haha, that was me and thanks :D. I'm not sure, but when I play against her, there is no difference for me.

In my opinion Billy didn’t need to be nerfed, and neither does Spirit. Billy WAS the most balanced Killer in the game, now he’s just meh. But, I actually enjoy Spirit games. It’s fun trying to figure out where she’s gonna mind game you post-phase. Pleaseeeee, don’t start witch-hunting her. If you have different feelings about both Killers than mine, feel free to post here and we can have a debate/discussion.
Spirit just needs an indicator that she's phase walking (eyes light up).

Survivor: Dead hard, DS, borrowed time, head on and sprint burst.
Killer: Ruin, bbq, corrupt, pop and infectious.

the pattern I see is that they are revisiting early/OG killers, updating them in some fashion
So, can we all agree that Hillbilly and Nurse just needed an add-on pass? Base kit being fairly fine and all that, they just needed to fix problematic add-ons but they also made “minimal changes”
guess who has the next problematic add-on combo? Yes, Huntress, I see them being tenacious enough to change something else about her (at least they can’t limit her with a cooldown... right??)
Im surprised Leatherface base-kit is decent but those add-ons are also worrisome
like look man, you see my profile picture, I like my Boi, Wraith just needs faster movement speed while cloaked and maybe faster action speed while cloaked so we can use his fun add-ons more freely but I’m paranoid they will mess that up somehow
like an add-on pass or reworking his power while I just want to Ding Ding and give everyone fun matches
Huntress is next, I'm 90% sure of it. All signs point to her being next. Wraith won't be nerfed. The devs have been trying to buff him, and he already had a ton of changes. Actually, I think he will be buffed next, and make some add-ons basekit.

This made me think of a match I had a few days ago. It was a Deathslinger with Rancor, and he chased me 95% of the game. EGC had started, and he'd hooked someone. I broke his NOED and he came back my way, so I said fk it and let him kill me so the other two could escape & he'd get his kill. He worked so hard for it. End game chat was super nice as well, and it was a fun match all in all. He was a rank 8 I think, and I hang around rank 2. My team was a rainbow.
Respect, you're a good sport. You should never feel obligated to give the killer a kill, but I do it sometimes anyway, to make newer players feel better, and I don't loop god windows or pallets against them.

I main killer but I'm red rank in both sides. I played survivor yesterday
A plague had 2 people downed and only me alive near the exit gate, she went to pick up the first one and I blinded her not even in the pickup while she was walking, i was confused.
I did the same with the other survivor, i don't think she knew blinds make you drop the survivor.
3 of us escaped, in the chat it was a rank 16. we were all red and purple ranks. Post-match chat comes
Plague: Too good
Plague :I thought I won
I've never felt so bad in my entire life.
######### this matchmaking system. Whenever I see a suspected lower rank, I give them the kill to make them feel better. Please fix matchmaking BHVR. Reading this genuinely saddened me. I feel so bad for the plague 😢

I get them all the time with Plague because players still don’t expect Dark Devotion for some reason.
Nobody expects a killer as tall as plague to gen grab them, making them less aware.
-
3 hours on average. Been playing way more recently though.

Both, but I like killer more. I only play survivor because dead hard, deliverance, inner strength and fixated are very fun to use. And Steve.

The thing is my third favourite movie after Forrest Gump and scream, so I would be down to see the thing in the game.

So when it comes to perks to slow down the game I'm really not so sure if ruin is still a great option. It really depends on luck because it's possible that the survivors will find the totem immediately and then I'm just going with 3 perks. I've been thinking about pop but it requires you to hook someone and immediately after damage a gen which means 1. You cant use it very frequently and 2. Even when you hook someone there is a big chance you are not gonna get to a gen in time. Instead I've been really liking overcharge since not only it can be used whenever you want, but also if they fail the skill check (which is very likely to happen) 1. I know that they are there and 2. The gen gets regressed by 7%. Maybe I like it because i main doctor but still I think it's really good. Although I would really love to hear your thoughts on this 😊
Hex perks are unreliable. Ruin is still good, but other game delay perks outclass it.

Lets be honest because they tunnel, We all saw Pyramid Head before last hotfix when they had a chance to tunnel, Most of them did it.
So lets be real all the rare scenarios they talk about here about getting hit by DS unfairly is just nonsense, They just want to tunnel whenever they want.
"Rare scenarios". Just like how we tunnel when we hooked someone else and still get d striked.
-
Dead hard, decisive strike and unbreakable reward you for playing bad. Dead hard is "press [] button to fix mistake" because you knew you were going to go down. Decisive on its own is fine, because slugging is a counter to it, but DS in a locker or combined with unbreakable is stupidly overpowered. Other second chance perks like adrenaline and deliverance are fine, since they reward the survivor for playing well.

If you don't care about it, then why make a thread about it?
In the game's terms pipping means you played well, double pipping means you played really well. The fact that someone got a 4k, doesn't necessarily mean that they played well, thus a 4k doesn't guarantee a pip.
"Playing well". Oni will barely ever pip, and if you snowball and kill all 4 survivors and don't pip, it's the ranking system that screws you over. The only way to pip as Oni is to do "man with katana". Same with every other ranged attack or one hit down killer.
-
@VonCrow said:
I guess it depends on the game but...this is something that should be fixed, isn't it? Or maybe I'm missing something?
Is not like I care about ranks, but I'm a really bad Survivor and I'm rank 1, while as Killer I'm dancing between rank 2 and 1 even being main killer.
Seems weird.
Because of how stupid this ranking system is. Killers like Oni, plague, Myers and any ranged or one hit down killers will barely ever pip, unless you don't use their power

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1434443#Comment_1434443
I know, but DO YOU seriously think making a thread they're going to be fiix console issues?
I play on console too and I know it is never going to be fixed, wait for PS5 and the new Xbox, I guess?
The forums are for feedback and discussions. The developers and community managers read the forums, and I am here to remind everyone that over a year ago, they said we would have more optimisation. That never came. Making a thread about it might work, as they do listen to their community (sometimes).
-
If you actually read my discussion, you would know that I am telling them to fix the issues of console that they have promised us for over a year. Turning it off is stupid, since opt in will be default on release. If you're going to make a snarky comment, at least read the post.

Hey guys,
So recently (last month lol) I got a brand spanking new PC and, with it, can now play DBD more than ever. If that's good or bad I don't know. Off the back of a 4 day break from the game, I'm now planning to begin a project to collect as many stats as possible before the release of mid-chapter update 4.1.0. Whilst collecting these stats, I'll be playing exclusively killer. Red ranks (up until reset).
So, I have to ask: What stats would you guys want me to track? I can do practically anything (provided it isn't checking steam profiles to see if people are a SWF or not because that's just effort), between keeping track of how long it takes for the match to be over, to which perks are used, to which ranks there are- the lot. And cause this is also not just for me but for the community in general, I wanted to ask what you guys wanted to see.
For anyone who takes time to respond,
Cheers, and have a great day!
EDIT: I'll be beginning in about an hour (about 3pm BST is all goes well).
Try and play 1 killer for the entirety of the stream and see how you do, kills on average etc.

What the title says.
Mine would be
IT
Alien
The thing
Jeepers creepers
Resident evil
Until dawn
And maybe the quiet place movie.
IT isn't a franchise. The dark tower is the chapter I want the most, it has 8 books even though it probably won't ever happen. I would like the scarlet fields of can ka no rey as a map or the white lands of Empathica. I want the survivor to be Roland Deschain (the gunslinger) and the killer to be the crimson king, Mordred, Randall Flagg or Dandelo. All of these killers are relatives of Pennywise.

It won't activate if it fills passively. I hate this bug so much.

Agreed, she is absolutely braindead. All you need to master her is a good headset and stridor.
-
@DawnMad said:
Definitely not, in chases he has nearly no counter play in most cases and is fully based on guessing. Someone who mastered the Redeemer can end chases in a few seconds no matter the survivor or the map in most cases with some perk builds.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/170814/deathslinger-is-the-most-balanced-killer
Requiring a good aim means skill gap, has nothing to do with balance.
"Easy to play, hard to master" means skill gap, nothing to do with how good the killer itself actually is.
His addons doing something, you should have added he is also good without addons. This is pretty balanced, I agree and I like it.
Movement speed and TR are so easy to get right by the devs it shouldn't even be mentioned. Of course a killer with 16m attack range has 110% speed, of course a 110% speed killer has 16m TR.
He can still be looped... Also, he has 0 map pressure. Clown can end a chase in a matter of seconds, but he is still awful.

Yeah, nerf even more good Survivor Perks so that all we have left is Deja-Vu. Even less variety sounds great.
If dead hard gets nerfed, you will still have a lot of options. There are some underrated perks out there like second wind and inner strength. Having slightly weaker survivor perks shouldn't surprise you. The killer has 4 perks and the survivors have 16 altogether.

In my experience it's not even good players who do this. Really good survivors are actually pretty chill, they are confident in their ability and usually drop a GGWP in chat, even when I lose, I rarely get salt from survivors, its the way you play that makes them want to troll you sometimes. There is often a clear differrence between good skilled players and the ones who only make it out because tyhey are in SWF on voice comms and then teabag you at the gate despite them being on death hook and they just let 2 teamates die while they hid in a l;ocker to get the escape. In my mind Im always like "yeah you teabagging the Meg you just let die not me" - I dont push them out either. If I am on one side map, I just go afk while edngame collapse does the work, go get water or pizza, dont waste your time chasing them out from across map.
You have no idea how much this helped me. Today, as hag I got destroyed by a 4 man swf and they were orchido wannabes, clicking their flashlights and moonwalking. I consistently hooked them, but they still rushed the gens out. By the time the gates were open, 3 of them were on death hook and t bagging and clicking me. I felt really stressed after that, but your comment helped me feel less stress. 🤝

I will most likely use new Franklins on hag when I see a pesky flashlight or sabo squad.
