Everything Bill has needs to be free according to their license agreement with Valve. Borrowed Time is definitely not behind any type of paywall.
I said a bloodpoint paywall for Borrowed Time. If you had read my statement.

I’ve countered it and have seen other people do the same. For example, all 3 survivors go to the hook, play the hook game, position and body-block accordingly. Can be done with 2 as well but it’s harder.
To counter camping, survivors must play out of their comfort zone and take a strategic approach, which is part of why it’s used as a pressure tool, because most survivors are stuck in their ways and won’t try to work as a team. Too focused on looping and gens to consider other elements of gameplay. Killers know this and take advantage of it.
Things of course get much easier if you just run BT, DS, DH unbreakable. You don’t even need to be good to with those perks.
That's possible to do at EGC, to get a survivor out the door.
But any other time, all you are doing is giving the killer health states, not doing gens and losing the game for your team. All the killer has to do is hit everyone and keep going after the hooked survivor. You are basically throwing the game at that point.

So I don't play killer in a while to lower my mmr I play one match okay fair fight on both ends next match second match after a while of not playing and I face super high skill survivors. How is the better matchmaking still doing worse then old matchmaking.
Matchmaking adjusts really quickly to your level of play, I've discovered.

The majority of deaths via camping are your teams fault for failing to save you. Of course there are exceptions such as bubba, but even he can be countered with BT, unbreakable, DS, correct team work and a bit of luck. But more often than not, with other killers, survivors simply misplay or use you as a resource. The blame should go to them, not the killer.
That is not the case in my games. The games I'm seeing, the killer is face-camping. If you don't have borrowed time or decisive strike, face camping is not able to be countered, no matter what you do.

So why do you play the game?To get no bps,to always let survivors escape, what's the point?
Survivors obviously dont meme with you and often just teabag and click their flashlights at you if you go easy on them.
I get the exact same percentage of kills that you get. I guess the big difference between you and I is that I have fun.

Tbh. Just taking out the hook grabs would improve the situation by a lot, imo. With hook grabs the camping killer is effectively guaranteed either a second person on hook or a kill on first hook - and if they're lucky they get both.
(Personally, I think this would also have to go hand in hand with a bt rework and removal/rework of the unhook-animation-invulnerability. But I do think these three things can be balanced against each other rather well if deincentivising camping/after-hook-tunneling is the goal.)
Doesn't help with Leather Face, camping-extrodinair.
Built in Borrowed Time has been the best suggestion I've seen so far.

A survivor was tea-bagging me at the gate with Michael Myers because I hadn't hit tier 3 the entire game. I walked up to her, hit tier 3 and tombstoned her. LOL
Her friends were laughing at her in end game chat.

Yes. It inversely affects new players much worse than seasoned players and I'm surprised the developers actually did it since they gave that exact reason for nerfing Ruin.

You need to use NOED,find the weakest link, tunnel them out of a game in order to have any sort of map pressure, prefferably hook them in a 3 gen.
Its just so hard to play fair on m1 killers according to survivors when almost every game I see dh and coh, along with a map offering like Ormond.
What are you supposed to do?Not tunnel and get no kills?Especially with the SBMMR that calculates your mmr based on kills/escapes.
Dont blame the killers who tunnel and camp, blame the game design that basically forces m1 killers to play like this in order to get anything out of a game.
More than often you get so much more value from proxy camping in a 3gen and force survivors to come to you instead of chasing them all over the map and lose all sort of pressure you had before you get a hit or a down.
If I bring a cake or bloody party streamers i'm gonna do my best to get as many bps as possible.
M1 killers are forced to play dirty because if they play fair, they will never be able to apply enough pressure to survivors in order to make them get off gens.
This game will always be a bad experience as long as perks like Dead Hard,Noed,Circle of Healing are in the game along with camping and tunneling,1,2 gens popping before you even find a survivor sometimes.
Maybe m1 killers wouldn't camp and tunnel so much and use Noed if they didn't had to go againts dh and coh every single game.
The killer role is to kill the survivors,so why are survivors getting mad when killers use the best strategies for it?
Its dirty but that's just how the game encourages you to play in order to get the most pressure.
I dont go out of my way to flame survivors if they use Coh and dead hard, they just use what's best for them,so is the killer.
You can play the game just fine without tunneling-off-hook-till-dead and face-camping with M1 killers. Just because you want to progress on a ranking system that has absolutely no value, that no one can see, that no one can judge you by, that isn't even based on skill, that does actually make it all the killer-player's fault who does this.
I play Trapper and I get plenty of kills without tunneling-off-hook-till-dead and face-camp. Matchmaking has absolutely nothing to do with skill. In fact, I would say the higher up in matchmaking you get by tunneling-off-hook-till-dead and face-camping indicates how likely it is that there are better killers who play in the mid ranks that killers that play in the upper ranks, whatever those are.

This is the exact problem, BT into body blocks and thats "not" counting that they may have DS! I think it will be a big mistake! The game is alreday difficult enough for killer with BT's, Unbreakables, DS, DS into body blocks, very bad maps and weaker or weak killers having to deal with all of this. Its crazy how people think (not you)

This is the only counter to Face-Camping and Tunneling-Off-Hook-Till-dead that survivors have. There's literally no other counter. If a survivor does not have one of these perks equiped, they have no counter.
Why is a BT into a body block a problem. This is the only way a survivor can effectively use BT. If a killer is coming right back to a hook, or is already at the hook, they have to take a hit from the killer to get the speed boost, otherwise they are right back on the hook.

Yeah so "random person" if you knew how to read and had comprehension skills you would know that i rarely use noed and barely 1 out of 10 games so this just goes to show how ignorant you are. I play the way i play period and i win most of the time but anyway i dont need to justify what i do or how i do it. I come from the fighting game community where we dont care about sh** like that (how a person plays tunneling camping etc) we just get the job done and focus on winning, nothing else matters! Its only in the dbd community that a bunch of kids compalin and whine (mostly survivors) about the way people go about they're objectives. Im just stating what it is! BT base is a horrible idea and it should get scrapped immeditely!!

BT would be good for the health of the game because, face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead, are only countered if a player happens to bring in Decisive Strike and a team mate happens to bring in Borrowed Time. Both of those counters are behind paywalls, either cash or bloodpoints, so new players don't even have access to counter these strategies that every single killer has from level 1 up.

I really don't care what BHVRS data says. We all know it's not accurate and indictive of whats actually happening.
I think it is accurate but people are not understanding the context it is in. When someone sees a Nurse with a 40% kill rate, people don't understand that 40% is across all levels of play. In context, the Nurse is a very complex and difficult to learn killer, so new Nurses are going to have extremely high escape rates and there are a large number of players in the lower levels of play. However, high skilled Nurse players at high levels of play have high kill rates.
I think the problem is people need to think about context when seeing statistics instead of just accepting them as is.
Also, I think BHVR really needs to separate the kill rates of killers into at least 3 levels of play, Low, Mid and High so people have a better idea of what is happening.

The game is alreday geared towards survivor just based off of maps alone so with this thing going around BT the devs think that will be healthy for the game? Its crazy absolutely crazy to me that this is even being suggested
Has there been some type of post or something today to cause all the Borrowed Time uproar? I don't get it.

I don't believe that for a minute. Both coal tower and dead dawg function as good examples of small maps. That are just fine to play against vs high mobility.
Put a Nurse, Spirit or Blight specifically on Dead Dawg, Coal Tower, Shelter Woods or Wrecker's Yard and you're helpless.
I love Dead Dawg Saloon design and would love that proportion of buildings and multi-levels to be implemented on Shelter Woods and Wrecker's Yard.

Gen speeds arnt a problem though. Maps are
Maps are a big big game design mess because of High Mobility killers vs Normal Mobility Killers. High Mobility Killers such as Nurse, Blight, Oni, Billy, etc, etc benefit from smaller maps exponentially compared to normal mobility killers. My perception has always been that BHVR balances the high mobility killers with larger maps. It's unfortunate for low mobility killers but on the other side, it would require high mobility killer nerfs.
So map design is a big mess because of killer speeds.

Not really.
Blight can not do this because Starstruck does not affect m2 hits. Billy does not need it because his m2 is already insta-hit. Who else?
I agree with @Tiufal, high mobility killers are a big reason all maps can't be reduced in size. High mobility killers are exponentially stronger on small maps compared to normal speed killers. Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Billy, Oni, etc all do much much better on small maps when compared to killers who move as normal speeds.
My own perception is that large maps balance how these high mobility killers, kill rates. I agree it's unfair for the slower killers but without nerfs to the high mobility killers, you can't reduce map sizes.

I'm not the one who made a 1 to 1 comparison; you are.
You said 'Survivors have bandaid fixes; Killer's don't. Therefore Survivors deserve free perk'.
That's ignoring that that 'free perk' is on top of 16 second chance perks being run, and, frequently, Discord. That's called 'balancing in a vacuum' and it's not how game design works. At all.
Borrowed Time is being considered as a fix for Face-Camping and Tunneling-off-hook-till-dead, 2 kill strategies that have no counter except for Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike. If you don't have at least one of those perks, then you have no counter to those strategies. Also consider that both of those perks are behind a paywall, cash with Decisive Strike and bloodpoints for both, so new players have no counter to a killer tactic that is available from level 1.
Everyone knows Borrow Time works as a counter for these two tactics and isn't abusable such as other implementations the developers have attempted.
This is a fix for a game design flaw. It needs to be implemented but should be implemented with a slow-down to gens to balance it out. This fix will only affect face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead tactics. Every other killer tactic in the game is going to be unaffected.

Funny, it also works in reverse.
- Survivors complain about camping.
- Killers say they camp because gen speeds are too fast & they're pressured to get a kill ASAP.
- Survivors say gen speeds are fine, and Killers would camp anyways.
Once again; it's like only one side is supposed to compromise.
I know I'd camp less if I did not feel like 3 gens always popped in the first chase.
I've made posts requesting to slow gen speeds down and give survivors options to counter face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead.
Survivors need some type of built in counter to face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead and I also agree that gen speeds need to be slowed down at the same time.

Question on title but let me add info why i am asking this question:
BHVR changed their map style. They started make small maps (Saloon, Midwich) and then they back to big maps again (RPD, Eyrie and Coldwind Rework). Because Nurse is super strong on small maps (The Game, Midwich, Saloon)
BHVR is doing good perks but most killers have not good values from this perks. Starstruck was good designed perk but it has limits and so most killers are not using it except Nurse. Lethal would have longer aura reading but it can not? Because of Nurse. I can list more but i think i told point enough.
We need less safe and smaller maps, stronger perks for rest of killers but this changes will be buff for Nurse too. And i guess BHVR is not doing because of Nurse, they don't wanna make her broken.
So what do you think? Is Nurse reason of obstacle to the empowerment of the killers?
Yes. Nurse and Blight are why other killers are weak. You can't really buff killers while you have those 2 powerhouses in the game.

Not really sure why you mentioned me... Honestly not complaining about anything and as for camping that is not what is being talked about here. I agree with you but like DH can be broken when used properly (remember I DH into walls lol) I get that having the paywalls for two counter to a bad play by a killer but would you just add them to a survivor base kit? I can see that becoming busted and the memes are going to fly. They do need to do something about camping and tunneling cause it is almost every game it happens but I do not have any good suggestions that do not kneecap all killers. If you play survivor and you see some killers you automatically go easy win (looking at you legion) and thus quite often you vers the same 5-6 killers and not a single other killer because people want to play killers that are fun and when you almost always lose you will not have fun. This also promotes camping and tunneling because if survivors are hyper altruistic they will throw the game to try and save.
I was just agreeing with you.

Lol ok so DH seems to make killers cry to most and you see people as Git Goot but then you see people say about NOED. So killers cry because DH extends a chase a little and rewards a mistake (people are not perfect mistakes happen) on the other side NOED can feel like a reward to a bad killer because it can some times be the first down they get and if you are a solo survivor it can be so sad to see the other three throw open the gate and leave you. Both sides have perks that are always going to cause people to cry if you do not like it maybe learn to counter it? I personally do not use DH because when I have I usually run into walls.
It's funny that is a survivor complains about face-camping, a tactic that literally has no counter for the hooked survivor unless they happen to have Decisive Strike and another teammate happened to have equiped Borrowed Time, which includes both of those survivor players going through a paywall to get those perks, either cash or bloodpoints. Then it's survivors are trying to ruin Killers fun.
Yet, Dead Hard, a perk that is the most fun exhaustion perk for survivors, hence it being used so much, is always being asked to be removed from the game without any irony at all.

What I like is that all the other killers in the game are limited to pallets and walls and do fine. But Nurse is able to completely avoid looping yet she is on the exact same level as the other killers.
I'd love these players to go against someone who is good at playing Nurse, like Otz, and show us how easy Nurse is to counter. I guarantee they would be 4ked over and over again.

So instead of one side getting better and stop making dumb mistakes it's better to just nerf the other side that has nothing to do with the fact that the other sides mistakes?
This isn't about mistakes from either side. This is about a playstyle that killers have, face-camping and tunneling-off-hook-till-dead, that are only countered if a player happens to bring in Decisive Strike and a team mate happens to bring in Borrowed Time. Otz plays to the situation. If he feels he needs to play a bit scummy to stay in the match he does it. If he doesn't, then he plays in a nicer fashion. The argument you keep hearing is playing scummy is the only way to compete now. Which is just not the case.
@topic I can't see BT being made basekit. However, if they did make it or something akin to it basekit I'd like to see killers get Whispers. I think it's a great perk that could really be a help to alot of killers.
Otz has already proven that every single killer can play perkless and wait 30 seconds before beginning the game and still get a 4k.
I like that people point out that Otz sometimes plays scummy to get a 4k but doesn't have to most of the time. Doesn't that mean that Otz isn't playing at the top of his game and is still doing fine.
The reason people call it scummy is because the other side doesn't always have methods to counter it. No everyone equips Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time every game. Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time are behind paywalls, either actually cash for Decisive Strike or Bloodpoints for Borrowed Time, so new players don't even have counters to scummy play.

Even the beginners do not behave like this. No, be assured that the snowflakes are a minority in this game.
I'm sure it's the level of play SBMMR has put us in. Maybe you're lower or maybe I'm lower but in the level I'm in, Nurse games don't exist for me anymore. It's DCs or suicides on hook.
There has only been 1 Nurse game that I saw survivors play all the way through and it was really really bad Nurse. I would say that was at least 2 months ago.

When I go against Nurse and my teammates disconnect or suicide on hook, you realize that Nurse really doesn't exist in a game sense anymore.
You can't really play Nurse when no one else is willing to play against her. I don't think I've had an actual game against Nurse in a long-long time.

If the game is harder, then SBMMR is working. I agree with you.

You kinda answer it your self on that 5th paragraph why camping happens a lot. CoH, Dead Hard, and all the other crap killers have to put up with they feel they have to camp to have any chance.
Need to give the killer a reason to not camp, by either changing things or adding something new.
Face-camping and Tunneling-off-hook-till-dead would still exist if you removed all the survivor perks. Also, because Face-Camping and Tunneling-off-hook-till-dead allows killers to maintain the 2k/2e ratio the developers want, killers will not be buffed and survivors will not be nerfed. In fact, you have to assume that CoH hasn't been nerfed because it has not affected the 2k/2e ration, in fact, it probably has moved the 2k/2e ratio closer to 50%.

There are about 2 million players all together, including all the console players and outside of steam venues. The majority of the player base is outside of steam.

According to Steam Charts (only counts Steam but still it is one of the biggest platforms DbD have), since the Boon big mid chapter patch, less and less people are playing the game. During this time we had Artist chapter (very end of the November) and now Sadako. Both chapters didn't increase the playerbase at all.
So my question is: Why do you think people are not playing anymore? What do you think are the biggest issues right now with the game?
Since that represents 2.5% of the player base, I don't think I would be over concerned about steam stats.

Whoa whoa whoa buddy, let's show you some logic.
Dead hard isn't stronger because it's highly used, yes. Otherwise you're correct, SC would be a problem even though it's trash and you're better off bringing CoH-
Dead hard is so strong because it grants you an extra life at the press of a button, and is not very hard to use. It takes like 2 matches to get used to dead hard. At any loop, Dead Hard can typically can let you make an additional loop you wouldn't have before, allow a stun you'd have missed, and it is uncounterable if the survivor is good.
That's because with good positioning, dead hard is unstoppable. You WILL make it a pallet, jungle gym, something. Heck, I've watched my friends use it to boost to killer shack and loop for a while. It's painful, it essentially says "wow killer, you did a good job! Haha just kidding, get screwed."
And yeah, there are killer perks like this too, and I'm ALL FOR THEIR NERFS. But DH also has to go, it's just too potent. A third health state isn't fair.
You say you want to show me "some logic" then justify your entire position on the false statement that Dead Hard is an extra life state.
- An extra life state allows you to take a hit. Dead Hard only works if you aren't hit.
- An extra life state gives you a 3 seconds speed boost (It might be 2 seconds). Dead Hard only gives you a 1 second speed boost.
- An extra life state allows you to move in different directions when you are hit. Dead Hards movement is only straight.
When you exaggerate or falsify your statements, people automatically dismiss you. It's a bad debating tactic.

I don't see any problem here, necessary sacrifice for game health.
I think this is one of the changes that would actually cause the survivor player base to plummet. Maybe the only change that could possibly cause survivors to leave in mass.
I'm saying this in the complete belief that Sprint Burst is a much better endurance perk and really despise using Dead Hard. (I rate Dead Hard under Sprint Burst, Overcome, Lithe and Balanced Landing).

Before anyone start complaining hear me out.
I often read discussions on here on wether this game is killer sided or survivor sided. In my opinion it's clearly in the favor of survivors but it's supposed to be this way. Let me explain.
Dead by Daylight is a asymmetrical game so when it comes to balancing it's not like CS or other symmetrical games. To fill up one Lobby in Dead by Daylight you need one killer and four survivors. So you need four times as many players to play as survivor than you need players to play as killer.
Because of that you need to make the game more appealing to survivors since you matches are 80% survs.
This still doesn't mean they should just neglect killers and the overall game health. Many of you know there are many more points that play into this and a lot of things need to be changed on both sides when looking at the game and how it is at this point.
Just wanted to know what you think of this since that's a point I rarely see in any discussion thread.
Hope y'all are having an amazing day!

I would be out if they gutted nurse I've mained her since she dropped, I took the hazing and mastered her she's literally one of the few killers that allows you to compete with even the best in the game they would be making a huge mistake if they did that.
I don't see how you can even player her at this point. Every game I get into just ends up with suicides on hook or DCs. Seems like a very unfun situation. I guess it does make Nurse really easy now days, since your games on 3v1s.

The amount of people who has such a big ego and princess syndrome that they need to nerf anything that they don’t like is unbelievable omg.
”Omg nerf any killer that has anti-loop it’s not fun for me!”
”omg stop tunneling/camping it’s not fun”
”stop gen rushing it’s not fun!”
im sorry, but if you honestly think the only thing thats considered fun is if you say it’s fun or not is pretty narcissistic to me. Maybe take a break from video games entirely if you complain when it’s not fun to you.
there’s other people after all
It could be that people are seeing a game-play problem with the game and is trying to bring it to the attention of the developers.

Every patch,every update,they fix 2 bugs,just so other 2 can pop out.
There is currently a really annoying bug to deal with as killer that appeared just after the latest bug fix.
I dont know how the code looks, but there's something seriously wrong with it.
I would say there is game mechanic and design reworks that need to happen. Things like face-camping, tunneling-off-hook-till-dead, useless perks on both killers and survivors, useless mechanics like chests, gen speeds, etc etc.
Bugs are usually addressed at some point.

As mentioned I think the older killers “trapper, hag etc” should have a rework especially trapper since he’s so power crept. As more new killers come in it makes the older killers too slow to play in high ranks, while everyone sticks with the newer killers (blight, artist, spirit etc)
Please don't rework my Trapper! He's a lot of fun and he has plenty of kill potential, just because there's new players that haven't taken the time to learn him does not mean he needs reworked.

Many survivors will be sacrificed more often than they used to if DH is properly nerfed.
Hopefully no more being able to use DH to reach the exit gates, window, or a pallet. I want to see the egotistical survivors that t-bag and click after a DH realize they’re not as good as they think they are without their third health state/free distance.
The few times I’ve used it as survivor, I would have been sacrificed if I didn’t DH at certain times. It actually made me feel less skillful, so I never use exhaustion perks as a whole, and it’s actually made me better as a survivor.
Truly the most aggravating perk to face in the game for me. I hope it’s killed!
Since the developer data shows that kills to escapes is around 50% and since the developers have also said that this is where they want the game balanced...
Why would you feel the developers would want to nerf Dead Hard since it would seriously skew the current 2e/2k ratio they currently have, according to you.
It's kind of like you are arguing against Dead Hard being nerfed.

If one exhaustion perk is being used way more than any other exhaustion perk, there is a balance issue.
I could say the same about the 5-7 meta perks in the SEA of about 100+ perks but that's a whole other discussion.
Not saying Dead Hard has a balance issue.
However, I will say your statement isn't true. There are reasons why 1 exhaustion perk is being used more than other exhaustion perks. Let me give you a couple of examples why.
- Advertisement - If everyone is saying one exhaustion perk is better than another all the time, then that will cause 1 exhaustion perk to be used more than another. Take for example Coke and Pepsi. When blind taste tests are done with the 2 sodas, Pepsi always wins. However, when you show everyone the labels, Coke always wins. Same thing with Dead Hard, everyone says its better, so most people are going to choose the perk everyone says is better.
- Self-Care - The most used survivor perk in the game. If your statement was true, it would also mean Self-Care has a balance issue.
I'm just saying that this statement is a very bad reason to justify nerfs.

First of, not sure if you call me a killer main there 😅
If so than you are greatly mistaken, because when i was still playing this game i played both sides about the same amount.
Secondly, as i stated this was my personal opinion and for me I just dislike the perk to use over dead hard.
I am someone who show myself to the killer on purpose to get chased.
And it is extremely rare that when I'm running or walking to a gen and work on it, that i would get it back before the killer gets there.
Most of the time the killer has already seen me within the first few seconds.
It's great if it works for you and you like it, it just doesn't suits everyone just as you prefer SB over DH.
Each their own 😉
Nah, I didn't mean to imply you were a killer main. I was just musing at all the comments I see from when killer-mains when someone brings up Sprint Burst. They always say that Sprint Burst isn't a problem because you have to walk everywhere with it.
I will say this, the big reason I like Sprint Burst is that it's a bit of a tunneling deterrent since you can Sprint Burst off hook. Which is another thing killer-mains don't consider when comparing DH to SB. Sprint Burst definitely weakens tunneling by killers. DH does nothing to tunneling off hook.

Personally my take on SB is that you are basically forced to walk around the map, if you want to use SB to get away from the killer.
It's something i always disliked about it and always forgot about if i equipped it.
I always start running at the start of the match, it became a habit to run.
Also i can't stand it to have to casually walk from 1 gen to another, or walk to wherever i want to go 😅
DH was always my only meta perk i used and where i would get the most benefits from.
Am very curious to see what will changed about DH, not that it will bring me back to the game but curious none the less
I never understood this thinking, that you have to walk around the map with Sprint Burst. I hardly ever walk around the map with Sprint Burst. I usually use it first thing to get to a gen and get working. By the time the killer is there, it almost always back.
Sometimes I think killer-mains have a preconceived notion that everyone walks with Sprint Burst. 😮

Holy JESUS, I've played 40 matches since Monday, and faced an incredible 118 Dead Hards.
This perk has become unbearable and extremely exhausting to handle with. This third chance perk must end or change.
Imagine what Survivors think when they see a Blight. DEAD HARD DEAD HARD DEAD HARD DEAD HARD DEAD HARD, alchemist ring, DEAD HARD DEAD HARD DEAD HARD DEAD HARD DEAD HARD.
