MMR is not the problem. Game balance is the problem. If the game was balanced MMR would be fine.
-
Practice all Killers against bots, not just Trapper.
Reduce the grind so new players can access their desired builds faster.
A match replay system that at least saves your last played match so you can watch maybe multiple POV's and see where to improve as a player, what your teammates were doing, report griefers more effectively, and best of all gain access to a new easy way to show BHVR cheaters in action so they get properly punished.
-
bruh
-
Bubba is cute :(
-
It could also help people record evidence for cheaters!
-
Make Ruin, Corrupt, Deadlock, Enduring and Brutal Strength basekit too then :)

The devs aren’t likely to say much about what they are or aren’t doing to fight cheating since they wouldn’t want to tip their hand or unintentionally get people looking for cheats they might not have heard of otherwise. Likewise as a customer service policy they’re not going to confirm when cheaters are banned.
Maybe... hopefully

Literally an extra health state for Survivor for free. Counters Killer powers, including ones it shouldn't logically, like Trapper traps, Doctor shocks, etc
-
NO MORE WORKING ON KILLER POWERS.
The fact that it counters Trappers F wording traps is SO DUMB, it's not fair at all that the best Survivor perk counters the one power a C tier Killer has!
I hate it so much :(
-
Survivors getting out of your trap first try
-
Would cost nothing to add and would only help when being slugged on the ground and the Killer can't find you.
-
Yun Jin is a ######### and I love her
-
Dead Hard is not a gamble at all lol, it is the safest exhaustion perk in the game.
-
Changes nothing, you still have to go out of your way and waste precious time snuffing it out.
-
It is the most popular Survivor perk for a reason, it is simply way too good as is.
-
It's because SWF can run every meta perk and also have access to basically every information perk in the game by communicating as a team.
The game needs to be changed so the difference between SWF and Solo is thinned drastically and then Survivor needs to be toned down a bit, specifically by being given a secondary objective along with some meta perk nerfs.
-
The realistic approach imo is make it like Pyramid Head's cage, swap Survivors to a different hook randomly. This keeps the game active and every player on their toes.

This has recently become a big issue and debate on Twitter. Most people I've seen defending this are saying that's it's not Bubba or the cosmetic itself that is racist, but the way people are using it.
People are claiming that others are using the cosmetic to, in fact be racist, on purpose. Now I haven't seen any proof of this yet, but that is what has been claimed multiple times.
Several POCs on Twitter are upset over the cosmetic, and if you're not POC, you're not allowed to form an opinion or be upset over the removal of the cosmetic, as it does not effect you (according to them). If you're not a POC, you're not allowed to tell them what they can/can't be upset over. The whole situation is ridiculous if you ask me.
You can't know the intent behind WHY someone would wear it unless they express so, like being racist in the in game chat. And frankly no, being a certain race does NOT entitle you to exclusivity on commenting or feeling a certain way about any topic, even ones specifically talking about racial issues. That right there is not equality but a special pedestal they are placing themselves upon by choice, nothing about that is fair or equal. If any other race, ESPECIALLY white people tried to say this, they'd be mocked and rightfully so. Twitter is once again full of nothing but pure juvenile narcissistic morons.
Not one person has suffered because of Bubba's cosmetics, and anyone pretending otherwise wants to be a victim for free attention and special treatment. Period.

But it takes so much skill, pressing E to gain an extra loop that leads into another loop next to yet again another loop! They EARNED that extra minute of chase time!!!
Perk is garbage, easily the best Survivor perk and NOTHING even comes close. Sprint Burst is good but not as good as Dead Hard, Iron Will comes close for negating an entire mechanic (which is the dumbest ######### I have ever seen), and Unbreakable/Decisive are good but situational.
Nothing touches Dead Hard in terms of raw power and utility, this perk deserves a massive drawback, such as hindered after using it or just delete the invincibility frames.
The fact that a C tier Killer like Trapper can be hard countered by an S tier Survivor perk is STUPID.

Happy Halloween!
-
Best beginner Killer will always be Wraith, Pyramid Head is up there with one of the hardest to play. A Huntress hatchet is easier to his than his M2.
-
Intent is what makes something racist, Bubba is not intending to be racist by wearing Claudette's face. In fact if anything he is being inclusive, he is a cannibalistic psycho with the brain of basically a small child, he can't even comprehend what 'racism' is.
All forms of logic scream you are objectively wrong, and are trying to blow smoke so people think there is a fire.

I've had more instances of hitting a survivor , they scream, I get pallet stunned and they incur no injuries.
You didn't actually hit them, but the Devs have yet to change them screaming.

Prove Thyself is fine. Just stack 4-gen slowdown on Nurse/Blight if it really bothers you that much. A good SWF doesn't need Prove Thyself or any perk to win your average match.
Perk is mostly used for points anyway.
"Just play the best Killers with 4 perks dedicated to slowing down gens if this 1 perk being ran by 1 or 2 people in a SWF bothers you that much lmao" k bud

The main point of cereal is the cereal, soup is about the broth.
-
Seeing a lot of bitching about Bubba recently, so probably him. They'll probably just revert him to his release state lol.
-
Pallets have hit validation so if you got hit, you got hit.
-
They look cool. They need to fix Pyramid Head's animations... in like a year I guess.
-
Hag. Nothing about Hag is enjoyable. Nothing about Hag and her playstyle supports the game she is supposed to be played in, and her only redeeming quality is her perks.
-
Dead Hard because I am a highly skilled gamer and it feels good to outplay the Killer by courageously pressing a button when I mess up :^)
Truly the pinnacle of perk design, Killers should get good by not letting Survivors have buttons to push.
-
The map sucks and will probably take years to be changed because the Devs are lazy. Simple as that.
-
I'd add a proper secondary objective for Survivors and I'd nerf every second chance perk.

Prove Thyself is hard countered by a near-meta detection perk, and pretty much the only reason you don't see Discordance more than you do is because killers don't have room to run several detection perks and BBQ gives double bloodpoints.
You want survivors to group up so you can pressure them all at once. Survivors splitting up across the map is a bad thing for you as the killer. While admittedly CoH weakens the effect of finding a group of survivors (everyone you injure but don't chase will heal up at warp speed), interrupting a group of survivors is still unequivocally better than interrupting just one.
Prove Thyself also doesn't actually complete gens faster. You have less time to interrupt an individual gen, yes, but all it does is eliminate the inefficiency of survivors stacking on a gen. The same amount of gen is getting done as it would if all survivors were on separate gens. And if every survivor spawns together and sits down to complete a gen in 20 seconds - okay, you've lost a gen. Now you know where everybody is and the dreaded first-chase-three-gens-pop isn't going to happen because the team threw all their eggs in a single basket, so you're actually not in a bad spot.
Yes, there are times you don't want Prove Thyself - a 3-gen, a Tinkerer proc you're running to with a waiting Pop - but I find it helps me at least as much as it hurts me. Everyone grouping up at the start of the game when you know where spawn points are? Everyone jumping on the closest gen after an unhook? You love to see it.
Nearly all these points are irrelevant when SWF exists and the Killer is only capable of chasing one person.

@snek said:
numbers say otherwise - in terms of time efficiency it's still slightly worse than if survivors were spread out on different gens (you can see it on wiki or by red bar suggesting you have slower individual speed)
this perk is okay, it's the gen mechanics themselves and map design that should be reworked to match soloq needs, because soloq is miserable rn
It is not always about which gen is being done, how fast a particular gen is being done can be just as important. Some gens in particular being done can completely make a game unwinnable for Killer, and Prove Thyself cements this heavily. Of course this fact along with communication vindicates my point of just how disgusting it can be done in a SWF.

It's not really a short and sweet Answer: Console has significant disadvantages compared to PC. Nurse is practically unusable due to the low sensitivity and accuracy of turns from my understanding, 15-30fps average, and turns on survivor are similarly inaccurate, meaning that even an SWF is going to lose if they get matched against a PC nurse or blight - they can't dodge or react with the same accuracy as PC survivors.
In addition, PC's playerbase is notably more toxic, due to A) how long its been around, and B) Endgame chat being there, so salt gets traded, tempers flare, and the team that lost the last game and was treated like garbage in endgame chat puts their tryhard pants on, only to get matched with....console newbies, where they'll camp/tunnel/genrush/teabag/key swap in order to get some measure of perceived revenge.
Combination of the game being limited heavily on one platform compared to another, and the inherent toxic nature of the game's playerbase. So PC players hate console because they're 'useless teammates', and Console players hate PC because they frequently run into unfair matchups that also involve the opposite group using the most frustrating strategies in existence.
HARD disagree with console Survivor, console Survivor feels great when not playing on old gen, and I have NO idea where you even got this perception from besides poor old gen console performance. I'd also at least partially disagree on Nurse, console sensitivity is very good now, not perfect but could use some small tweaks to be made more fluid and smooth.
I'm not saying PC isn't better than console, what I am saying is "heavily limited" is very disingenuous and in my experience not true at all.
-
Make up is a very powerful thing my friend. A girls best friend.
-
Here's a question: Besides it not being fun for the Survivor, why SHOULDN'T the Killer tunnel? Getting someone out of the game ASAP is a very good idea.
-
Having a broth as the main focus of the meal.
-
It's fine. But it should be extended and we deserve double BP's after the game wasn't playable for a literal week.

I'm not giving that series a cent until that Pedophile ######### is rotting in Hell tyvm

No. Thanks for playing Dead by Daylight.

Do not change Bubba, change Face Camping. Period.

So I am forced to sit and watch my teammates jerkoff in the corner doing jack #########?
Yeah no thanks, next game.

I think the dead hard change is completely fine. Im a killer main and still think the survivor should use their get away perk almost every chase, whether it be lithe, sprint burst, dead hard whatever. It is annoying af with all dead hard or something BUT dead hard is still not as powerful as any meta killer perk.
Not only are you objectively wrong about that last part, you didn't read what I typed. I don't mind Dead Hard working as intended, what I DO mind is the Survivors screaming and bleeding as though I hit them when I didn't.
