Isn’t one of the Red Forest maps done? I wondered why they didn’t do both at the same time..

I was throwing some shade at Paulie since he has a habit of wildly and inaccurately speculating about which killer will be released next. I think he's been correct only once or twice out of dozens of theories.

(there was someone that is taken seriously though right? The one claiming Candyman wasn’t coming for the anniversary because he has been in the BHVR headquarters or something...)

I would also guess it’s a bug with the Crossplay symbol. Have seen it before on my friends profile name and they definitely were on the same platform as me.

I'm assuming Microsoft here applies to the Xbox AND the Windows Store/Xbox Game Pass?
I'm playing this on Xbox Game Pass (on the PC) at the moment, but its literally the only game I play on the pass, so I'm considering cancelling and just buying on Steam.
Yeah the Windows Store version is currently also not included in the cross progression, no transfer from it to steam possible..
Hopefully they will eventually get it for all platforms..

Mainly i play for fun either solo or with a friend. Getting dailys/challenges done, without too much stress.
i started with only survivor, but with the rifts I also started playing killers. Now I have all killers and I have all achievements done, most were coming naturally, others I had to invest time into but I made small steps (like playing max 1 match of plague per day bc I can’t stand playing her)
i am ‚working‘ on all chars to P3, but I don’t stress myself with it. Just level everyone to lvl 50, use up most of the items/addons/offerings and prestige if I feel like it.

Funny thing is, those are probably the ones crying the most that the game is survivor sided.
but there are players on both sides like this, see 4 man sweat swf possibly with a token brown rank (family shared account I guess?) to screw matchmaking even more than it does on its own.

Definitely love Fixated and Inner Strength!
Fixated could need some QoL changes though, wouldn’t hurt anyone if it applied also in injured state

Thanks, I forgot that they can be abducted outside of the source material, perfect option. And I know Webber would feel weird, asthetic wise, but i think he would look really cool and the first non-human survivor would be a cool change of pace

The point of making darkness a status effect was so that i could easily make certain aspects of shadow cloak not affect survivors within the light radius while other aspects still would without making it too wordy.
Shadow claw would go over pallets and windows, but if it collided with a pallet being dropped it would dissipate. And lockers would be a way to get away from shadow claw as well, but because of the range and other killer abilities, it wouldn't be as impactful as it is with the twins. I'll add the clarification.
I understand that it may seem "safe" when survivors are repairing a generator, but if you think about it, its still a vulnerable situation because you won't get the darkness filter, meaning you won't know if the darkness is lurking just outside the terror radius. So when you're working on a gen the killer can still come up if they turn off shadow cloak, or you have to watch out for a shadow claw which could turn off the lights or give you exposed, either of which would leave you very vulnerable. Plus, the light radius is non-existent before 25% and its very small for a while after that.
Hmmm, I didntbrealize those 2 were children, maybe they weren't the best picks. I just had the perk ideas so i ran with it. If you have some ideas for wicker bottom i would happily include them. I could see a book of birds perk that affects ravens in some way. That would be pretty cool.

well, the reason I didn’t make a survivor concept was that I couldn’t think of something better than that Jake perk... I think your peel ideas for Webber and Wendy fit very well though, and the Entity also grabbed Nancy and Steve when they were older than in the Show!

First of all: Love it! But I got some questions.
Darkness: Why make Darkness a status effect? I though the filter would work just by being in the terror radius and survivors would suffer from the Oblivious status effect. Maybe additional status effects like hindered or exhausted with addons.
Shadow Claw: How would it go through vaults (I imagine vaults wouldn’t affect the claw at all?) and what happens if the claw gets hit by a pallet. Also interaction with survs in a locker? (Especially after the fiasco with Victor...)
Light sources: Not fully repaired gens of light sources felt weird, because that’s where survivors wanna be anyway to complete their objective. Having to decide to go to the safe place OR the objective would fit better I think. Maybe make the lightsource of not completed gens flickering on and off?
Survivors: You took the two children and I love those characters very much and they do have some kind of synergy in DST lore.. but I would rather see Wickerbottom tbh (perks revolving around her knowledge/books and insomnia). Also Webber as a survivor would feel very weird 🕷 I do like the Spider Affinity and Monster Meat perks though!

It’s definitely a reportable offense. You need to make an in game report for harassment though.
action will be taken, but you won’t get informed about it and it’s not known when they do take action, all we know is they ban in waves.
depending on the insults your mates were making and if they got reported they might get a penalty as well.

no, it's just that if I saw a David doing that, I would want him dead. Only really cocky people or really stupid people would do that, and that's such a clear indicator compared to the almost all of the rest of the actions in this game.
But that would actually really fit David’s character. He is bold, protects his friends, is aggressive etc, so still fitting I guess

I guess most of the times the killer doesn’t even notice and thinks at least kn that moment it was accidental (which also just happens).
did this as Killer myself, was a 3 man swf sandbagging a random, but the random was a Jane and there was a Jane in the SWF as well and I genuinely thought SWF were mocking each other at that one pallet. The random wasn’t unhooked after that and I felt horrible..

good job on pointing out flaws in the game -not for one side or the other explicitly- and still maintaining a civil tone without insulting the devs or parts of the playerbase! That’s sadly far from the normal criticism here.
i agree that matchmaking is the biggest problem currently and I really really hope MMR turns out to do what the devs intend for it to do.

You can’t link your PS4 account at all.
Currently only steam and Stadia accounts can be linked, with Switch following soon.
they are still negotiating with Sony and Microsoft but can’t say if crossplay will ever come for those platforms.
that said, I would be still interested in the answer, if anyone knows??

I like the overall idea! Definitely way better than the generic 2 killers vs 8 survs mode.
With these aura readings accessibility/colorblind options are even more needed, but that’s not in your hand obviously.
Do trappers traps don’t affect the other killer though? He can step in his own steps after all.

Kinda miss old Freddy. Never played him myself, only played against.
but i do think they could have reworked the power enough to make it healthier for the game. Maybe one day they might add a char with his old power and call him the Sandman or something.

I had never been in the store, it was in one of the first rifts.
since it’s a Community designed cosmetic, I am pretty sure it will find its way into the store at some point, but we can’t really estimate when this might be..

They didn’t ban people for calling Victor baby as far as I know. And they themselves don’t have a problem with that.
they did have to ban people from some discord group that were referencing child abuse because of discord term or something. Not even sure if they did the banning or discord did? I have nonclue how that works..

you could also bring Inner Strength and get rid of bones
Or any team aura reading perk to find teammates for healing: Bond, Bloodpact, Kindred, Empathy, Aftercare, those have also other uses.
there is a time and place for Selfcare though. But it’s probably never in that corner while Sloppy Butcher‘ed and 2 others on hook and the third in a chase.

As sad as it sounds:
tunnel 2 out as fast as possible, if marking/exposing and downing them this way helps you, do it. Don’t camp though, try to 3 hook both.
once those 2 are out you gotta play with the other 2, slug them, hook both twice, M1 enough times or more slugging and letting them heal up.

I play with a controller on PC. For survivor I heard it shouldn’t make that much of a difference. For killers mouse is more precise, for certain killers this makes a huge difference!
think about rebinding struggle to mousewheel if you don’t wanna violate your space, play with mouse sensitivity options.

I guess you would still see gen rush SWF sweat squads and 4slug with 5 gens Nurses in a casual mode. Maybe even more because they expect easier opponents.
i guess we need better balancing between high skill and low skill.
and a working MMR. That would be fantastic.

other than that, something like Oni-Minotauros is cool, but for that price it needs more distinction from Oni. Animations, weapon.

There is at least a punishment system which will get worse the more often you DC.
but you know what? Killers can do that too! Actually had not that much more survivor DCs than killer DCs in the last couple weeks.

seriously though, don’t take this game too serious. Those survs are still learning, don’t be the guy(or gal) that sandbags them for a small mistake and tell them to uninstall the game. That behavior is WAY more problematic.
