I'm doing the clown kill all 4 survivors and I simply can't with the gen rush to hell and back and broken perk combos
I tried slugging builds
I tried gen dense
i tried exposed builds
My go-to Clown build is:
Brutal, Jolt, STBL, and a flex which varies between Pop, Corrupt, or Deadlock. Now if I run POP as a flex jolt is replaced with No where to hide.
Add-ons - Flask of Bleach and Sulphuric Acid giving you an extra kick to your bottles along with extra slowdown via healing. Most won't want to stay injured vs a Clown.

Best: Nancy, Thalita, and Cage.
Honorable mention (good): Haddie, Sheva, Elodie.
Worst: Feng, Mikaela, Nea.
Honorable mentions (bad): Jake, Felix, Jonah

I have no doubt many players will not like the idea of locking the lobbies or doing away with them altogether. Mostly veteran players I'd think.
There are legit reasons to want to ditch a lobby, and some bad reasons too, in both roles. But I firmly believe taking one of those two options will over time even out the matchmaking, so long as we have the current backfilling system in place.
As for balance and SWF that's another big ol pile of difficulties.
I've heard the notion floating around here and elsewhere that many of the posted complaints are "first-world high MMR problems" that do not really effect the average playerbase much. The devs themselves seem to agree, with what little stats we do get & their responses to us proding those stats.
The problem as I see it is the balance issues mainly crop up and are most strongly felt by those in that mythical high MMR area (not counting people just regurgitating content creators) where the efficient or "sweat" play is. Luckily I'm a lousy killer & ok-ish surv and aren't often swimming around in that area myself.
Maybe?
I have over 4500 hrs and I would love no lobbies at all. Personally I think it's a waste of valuable time just sitting there waiting, waiting, then waiting some more.

100% agree, but thats a thing since forever and im sure BHVR will never back down on this one. For the Prestige i still have a little bit of hope at least.
Maybe?
However they have said themselves that dodging lobbies creates backfills which lead to unbalanced/incorrect matchmaking. The best way to fix this is removing the ability to dodge by locking lobbies (Mandy just said this in another thread). Now may I ask all of you if we lock lobbies to allow MM to be correct why do we need to sit in a lobby that won't change? Let's just go straight into the match....right?
-
@Kebuzi said:
Survivor prestige should have NEVER been shown in the pre game lobby in the first place. It baffles me that they removed the Survivor grade from the lobby (and even the killer ping alert) because people dodge etc. and then implement a new system that does exactly the same.
Correct. However I will raise you and say lobbies should not be a thing at all.

I guess the solution would be locking lobbies and not allowing players to dodge them.
Simple but I truly believe would be effective. Could you please get this to the department who needs it?
If you don't mind I have a proposal to your suggestion. No lobbies at all. People want to play the game not search, find, sit in lobby, sit in more lobby because someone left making the timer restart, then have to do this all again because someone disconnected loading in. This caused me to not even play the other day. I dash boarded and went to Outriders.
Please for the love of god change the process to searching, found, loading in. I truly believe it could reduce some of the toxic nature in DBD. Bad loss? Into next match before you know it instead of sitting/waiting stewing in your frustration causing you to do toxic things like message people.

Where does the thread start with it? They gave an example on how people are sweating in their games against non-sweating players. If it would have been the other way round (survivors sweating against a non-sweating killer) it would have made no difference. Once again, they happen to notice it mainly on the survivor side.
They kept addressing that it is a COMMUNITY issue. Not once did they say that this is a killer issue...
Op did mention “community” multiple times, however the issue is all there complaints/issues are focused towards killer players. No mention what so ever of how survivors play just as sweaty.
OP tried to sound unbiased unfortunately they did a terrible job doing so. Anyone who’s been on they forums for awhile already know of the bias. Not quite sure why they tried to pretend not to be.

I can't tell you how many times I need to bleed someone out simply because there are NO HOOKS ANYWHERE NEAR an area. It's not fun for me, it's certainly not fun for them, them thinking I'm trying to make them suffer when I literally can't play the game because I sacrificed someone on a hook and that was the only hook for 10 miles.
Really? I can’t remember the last time I wiggled off from the killer there are hooks everywhere and killers Get an eternity to get the survivor there.
Sounds like you broke a hook that you shouldn’t have in a very specific area. I see no issues if anything I think survivors could use a buf in this area. Meaning killers get less time to carry the survivors.
-
Sorry I can’t. I refuse to take this game so serious that I seek out to ruin others games. I can win the majority of my games just fine without ruining others experience.
Tunneling makes the game easier for killers most of the time but it is not needed majority of the time. Most killers are out here tunneling solo queue, the lobby they should be able to 12 hook I recommend everybody just get better.

I was actually contemplating getting a PS5 soon, so... might be a game I pick up. I didn't bother with the evil dead game or Friday the 13th, but this might be a pretty chill party game to fall back on when DBD gets me stressed.
Evil dead is hot garbage. Survivor is fun but demon is a snore fest of cooldowns, holding your action button, and watching your demons bent over, stunned, and killed in 2 hits. Oh and matchmaking worse than DBD. Nothing quite does it like loading into a match with your new demon only to be matched with fully leveled, decked out survivors.
ED made me appreciate the effort DBD devs put into this game.
EDIT: One thing ED does have better is you get a timeout/ban if you leave 2 or 3 lobbies. So anti-lobby dodge per se.

Probably has something to do with this. This is what 3/5 of my games look like. Also for the record, the James teabagged hardcore at hatch after running across the entire map with MFT+Hope.
This is why you only see Blights/Nurses/Weskers/Spirits.
Looks like to played to win and so were they?
Yes I know you used Trapper but at the same time your build tells me you really wanted to win (like theirs).
Idk maybe show a different screenshot for whatever point you are trying to make.

He’s a killer that takes time to learn but is fun and rewarding. I understand not liking him because of his high skill floor but he doesn’t deserve to be put in the same category as Knight and Skull Merchant in terms of how successful or unsuccessful they were.
I agree with that. I have no problem with skill floor (that's a good thing) and everyone should have their own opinions based on playing him. Most seemed to not like him so if not a flop then what? My personal issues with him @GannTM @Wylrin is based off the nauseating experience switching cameras/tagging is on console (could be PC too idk). Not to mention it's quite clunky on console as well. I also always feel like anything I do with him I could do better with another killer.
If you two like him that's fantastic but I just don't personally see the appeal. When I would rather play my Pig should tell you everything you need to know.
All is MUTE now though as Xeno is coming and I will never touch anything else again.
EDIT: "All is MUTE now though as Xeno is coming and I will never touch anything else again". is assuming Pennywise never comes to DBD. They pull that off I will play him and Xeno for life.

Ngl I don't usually agree with a lot of your opinions (which is fine as no one agrees on everything) but this one is spot on. There is not a single perk I have played against in my years of DBD that gets me tilted like BO. It does next to nothing to PC players while being an annoying hinderance against console games. I will tunnel you, camp you, let everyone without BO leave, or sabotage you if your my teammate.
The closest thing to BO (IMO) is people running anti-hook builds then rushing to the forums in tears because they were slugged.
This perk should be deleted.
-
I have hundreds of hours on each killer except SM and Singu so I will ignore these two. I have always played every killer but if I for whatever reason could only play with 5 this is how that would look. Love me some m1 killers AND WESKER. I will leave him off though for some variety.
- Freddy - Huge NoES fan and he is the reason I even installed DBD. Really wish they would give him the attention he deserves instead of half-cocked not thought out number changes.
- Pig - I don't know what comes over me when I play Pig but the game just flows perfectly through my brain using her. It takes a damn solid team to keep me from killing at least 3 with Pig.
- Clown - There is not an M1 killer on my list that I can down you faster with than Clown. Brutal never leaves any of my Clown builds.
- Myers - Stalking, scaring, insta-downing, gameplay changing add-ons, etc what's not to love.
- Onryo - My highest prestige killer but not knowing the state she will be soon she could fall from this spot. If so it's a tie between Ghostface/Trapper.
-
Wesker was made near perfect. Yes the infection after hook should be reduce or have a 30 second timer give or take before infection builds. Outside of that Wesker is how every killer should be made. Not OP, Not a plaything, counter play, fun, etc.
The core issue is how boring and weak the majority of the cast is. Not to mention the 2-3 killer before Wesker were not great and the killers after were even worse. Sadako was holding on with the condemned strat which should be nullified soon so her KR will drop. Dredge is too map dependent (locker placements), along with Nightfall being horrible to deal with on both sides for varying reasons.
Nothing else needs to be said about the killers made after. They speak volumes on their own.

I never would have thought in a million years that I would ignore the anniversary BP offerings but here we are. Hope this game finally updates gameplay mechanics to freshen up gameplay because this game has become stale asf.

I wanted to put Freddy in buff and rework but....IDK

So good it has a 1% pick rate, I guess.
Pick rate does not mean the perk is bad. Nor does 1% of the random players on one platform mean anything either. Autodidact I'm sure has a low pick rate as well but it's came up clutch in more than a few games for me. Good perks are not always good and bad not always bad. That's actually a good thing.
If nothing else I would stop using Nightlight as a basis for arguments at the very least.

I think because it’s a microcosm of gameplay trends throughout the community and, sans the official stats BHVR releases annually, the only way to place a pulse on perk popularity & other usage trends.
If you’re suggesting OtR somehow better insulates survivors from tunneling, a killer doesn’t really need to wait out BT or Off the Record. One hit puts you into Deep Wound. I personally wouldn’t care if you had OtR or BT. Either one cancels out as soon as you’re hit once. And no killer needs to wait 10-60 seconds to render your protection useless.
Either one cancels out as soon as you’re hit once.
Correct but you are bursting away instead of eating dirt. It's not supposed to protect you for eternity. It does it's job well. You don't like OTR that's fine. Still a good perk.

No one can even agree about what's a win and what isn't, so I don't know why some try to argue about which role is easier when everyone's experience is different and a game's outcome depends on many things.
If you're playing survivor, the game will be much easier if your teammates are efficient but the game will also be much harder if the killer tunnels someone out. Even those things don't matter one bit considering matchmaking is an absolute mess and we don't really have any way of proving we're against people with similar skills. And it'd be silly to claim a role is easier because you get matched against people you're better than, or to claim the game is obviously X role sided because you got stomped by someone that has a couple thousand more gaming hours than you.
Until matchmaking is good arguing about which side is better is a waste of breath. Everyone's experience is different, for the past couple weeks I've only been getting 4Ks without regression perks or sweating but I'm not gonna argue killer is easy because I'm very much aware it's because I'm matched against very casual survivors who are probably only playing for the anniversary.
I can't wait to get home from work and tell my wife I actually seen an intelligent person and to boot online of all places. Who'd a thought?

According to Nightlight OTR has a 1% pick rate. The highest it has ever had was 1.6% earlier this year. I don’t understand why you’re being dishonest
Can you enlighten me as to why people (not just you) bring up Nightlight stats in discussions? It's only PC and only PC users who take the time to upload the information. Nightlight is such a small fraction of the player base and I personally don't see how it helps or means anything.
As for OTR the amount of times the killer waits out my base BT is frustrating and OTR can help with that along with the anti tracking aspect of the perk. If you our being tunneled off hook (which everyone claims to be) then OTR should be used to alleviate that.
-
Maybe they don't want people to play Singularity? You know any more than the few who do now anyhow.
-
Both sides can be difficult at times. There is so much rng that can cuck the killer before the screen spins.
On that same note there is also rng that can cuck survivors. On top of that you can't control the team you get or what agenda they have. yes you can get teammates that refuse to use their hook states which result into 2 survivors dead and a loss, tomb challenges deleting a teammate from gens, dc's, suicides, 10 second chases. Sucks yes but I don't believe the game would be in a better state if survivors could still win in any of those situations. Team game so play as a team.
I can count on one hand how many times in solo q where after I said that killer was amazing and better than us that's why we died (4500 hrs). It is always dc's, suicides, or teammates throwing.

The idea is instead of killing all gen perk we modify the generators themselves
The idea is to reverse the penalty generator repair
So instead of putting a penalty on the players for fixing the generators together, we put a penalty on them if they fix the generators on their own.
This may benefit the killer so that instead of finding one survivor, he will find two or more
The penalty is reduced in the event of the death of one of the survivors, and it is completely removed if there are 2 survivors left
Additional modification: Toolbox does not stack with another toolbox
My idea would be to nuke Tunneling/camping. Like erase it from the history books. Also at the very least nuke Blights add-ons along with Nurse.
Then erase gen-progression then proceed to change survivor spawns to all spawn together no matter what.
Then monitor closely.

I recently started learning killer, and I get nothing but OP swf teams and super experience survivors.
Is just impossible to have any fun at all with such unbalanced games, and it just keeps on happening, one would assume that after loosing a bunch of matches you would start getting more balanced teams, but no, is just matche after match of unbalanced skill leves, is ridiculous.
I have always had this theory (based on my own experiences) that MMR does not change game to game but instead changes on a daily or even weekly basis. This would explain the streaks I here about both ways.
However that would only be possible if MMR actually worked so I'm going to say Bad luck or skill issue. Or both.
-
I think this looks great. If I did one of these Bond would be S-tier (I'm solo Q) and I would have DH in A-tier. I get more value out of DH now than before the last nerf. AMN has been a perk in my build for a while now and some games the value is off the charts and some minimal (S-tier or B-tier) so I don't really mind the B tier but it has S-tier moments.
-
I can win majority (80%) of my matches in pubs with console Trickster. Does not change the fact he is ass and the most frustrating killer imaginable. That is what people are trying to say. The average survivor is trash and since MMR does not work what so ever you really have no idea if you are good or not. The tier-list/ratings of killers does not come from thin air and if you can win 85% of your matches with Wraith you can win even more with a better killer.
Wraith is Wraith. Good builds and strats any killer can be your Wraith. Hope you can understand that.

You know you hear all the time about toxic interactions between killer and survivors but I'll be honest most of my DBD friends were my survivor opponents back when I was a killer main. I still dabble here and there with killer to stay current but majority of my play these days is survivor. I just find it more fun right now then killer. Not because killer is hard I just don't always feel like mental aspect of killer after a hard days work. I can destroy the survivors at 3-5 gens remaining and still fell exhausted. Survivor I chill and play on my phone. See the difference there.

Being able to see hook aura's always, or at least when the survivor is downed not when they're picked up. Meaning you can prepare better without communication. Also the perk should go into cooldown only when the action is completed not when you are interrupted. Maybe I wanna trade both of my health states for a teammate who's going to die on hook. But usually what happens is you get hit during your first one whing Saboing a hook, get interrupted and the perk goes on cooldown.
Please devs this right here would be the perfect Sabo. Please change perk accordingly thank you.

Played a miserable Oni match last night. Hit survivors in the street and they all hold W into the over powered houses with the windows. I literally could not catch up to these survivors. My first down came with 2 gens left and I didn't even have my power initially charged until 2 gens were left because they predropped the safe pallets in the street area. I think I'm now traumatized by that map. It's so strong if survivors know to utilize the houses especially the Myers house.
I'm actually confused by this. If you were getting hits in the streets enough to warrant this post how was you not getting your power? This sounds more like you struggled to get any hits. If you got a hit and they W keyed to houses they are still dropping blood meaning you should get your power. Either you are leaving out important information or your memory is a bit off.

They can only get rid of the slipstream once or twice per chase, tops, so the moment you start reliably spitting balls in your chases, I found EMP’s only really hamper his map-traversal. He’s surprisingly spammable in chase, honestly.
So your saying you have to tag them 2-3 times. You do understand the time contraint of that right? You could have just chase with any other killer and got a hit in the time it takes you to bust on them 3 times.

I really hope this challenge is a test for a new game mode. After all these hours in DBD I am bored out of my mind and 100% believe a game mode (does not even need to be a new mode) where everyone's builds are random would be so ######### fun. Would settle on just a randomizer though.
Bonus points for characters randomized as well.
