For me I love this guy. Sure he may not match the usual set of killers we have but I like that. This guy looks normal. I could walk down the street and see someone just like him and have no idea he's actually a serial killer. That thought alone is terrifying and I love it. Also just the fact he has his little laughs after inserting knives into someone gives me chills. Like you know he's enjoying himself watching another human running in terror. I can't wait to play this killer on release.

What about plague, or Adiris? She seemed to be a good person before the entity took her.
There's also Wraith who murdered his boss for tricking him into killing innocents for crime lords. Spirit since her dad murdered her and her mother. Nurse maybe at a push who simply just snapped and lost her mind. Also Hag who was starved to death by Cannibals though she did end up eating them for revenge so maybe not top good.

In my opinion Rin's dad wasn't evil. He paid for his daughter to go to an expensive university, all the while his wife was ill. His boss's clearly didn't care about him either. The biggest reason for why he's innocent though is a detail that a lot of people overlook in Spirits lore. "A dark whisper would keep him awake all night, reminding him of his hopeless situation. Exhausted, he started to lose grasp of reality. Fighting to deny what the voice whispered at night." It's pretty clear that the entity was the one whispering to him, and forcing him to kill.
I agree though that I'd love to see him as a survivor, I think it'd be interesting to see the roles being reversed (Spirit hunting him).
Gotta admit it would be pretty interesting to see her Dad appear in the Trials. It would make a very interesting storyline since Spirit only became that way out of her desire for revenge against what he did. I can just imagine it now. Doctor and Nurse holding a therapy session for Spirit's Daddy issues 😁
-
As a Blight main, that description matches me so well. I honestly despised him at release and wanted him to burn in a fire. Now, I love him. Dead Hard can still go rot though 😁
-
It's a good idea, but it won't happen since Friday the 13th uses the exact same concept (I'm assuming this is where your idea came from). It's be unique but I doubt they'd copy a mechanic from another game.

Wraith is far from OP, he's actually quite weak. Not weak as in he's useless, but his only 'power' is turning invisible, and even then he's still trackable. Since the recent update to him, he's a little tricker to spot, but not impossible. He works the same as Freddy when you're not asleep. You'll see Wraith's 'shimmer' at a set radious (24m I think?), beyond that he is completely invisible. Chances are you'll hear him before you see him coming. His footsteps are loud, and his breathing is like growling. When you know your facing a Wraith you need to be constantly watching out for him, and listening for his sounds. Though he can be tricky with certain add-ons. His Silent Bell can catch you off-guard if he decloaks behind a LoS Blocker, and he can also use an Add-On that stops his TR for 6 seconds after uncloaking. You can also 'Lightburn' him from his Cloaking by shining a Flashlight on his body when he's invisible. This is essentially a pallet stun and will burn him out of cloaking and stun him, but it takes a couple of seconds to do, the same as a normal Blind on a killer. Overall, Wraith is just a killer you need to watch the surroundings for.

That's a mood right there. Happens to me a lot as well when I'm playing killer if I go down a bunch in ranks from not playing in a while. I understand that very new people might see the "attempt escape" prompt and figure it's what you're meant to do, but still, sucks to see.
It also doesn't help that the in-game tutorial literally tells you to use it as well, rather than state it's more of a 'Last resort' option. Honestly the whole in-game tutorial for both survivor and killer is severely outdated at this point.

Same here. I've got more Firecrackers and weirdly enough, Third Year firecracker things that keep appearing than I do any toolboxes. It'd be nice to get a toolbox once in a while, but I now just go full loot goblin and White Hand and loot them from corpses in matches.
-
I've been getting plenty thanks to my really awful MM. I'm being paired with baby ranks and I swear they instantly struggle the hook rather than wait. Or I'll have ones who just outright suicide or DC on first hook. Even when I'm playing killer, I'm having people do it, and I've been playing only Demo recently. I mean really. Who DC's or suicides to a Demogorgon?
-
I'm on PS4, EU servers and Survivor queues seem quicker than normal, even at peak times. Killers a little slower but still fairly quick compared to the usual.
-
I got the Deadmatch error earlier today on PS4 while queuing for a killer match. Waited about 5 minutes and it popped up. After that it just wouldn't find a match, and I waited a good 10 minutes. Had to reset the game to fix it
-
As many have said above, it's not just killers who complain. And posts like this... The dictonary just got updated with this as the meaning of Irony. Both sides complain just as much as the other. There's no 'More killer or more survivor complaints'. People need to just stop bashing each other, and actually have civil discussions instead of just resorting to 'Omg your crying over X reason, git gud'.
-
I feel as though this is some pretty obvious bait, but I'm far from qualified to make the deduction on that.

The literal G-spot... My god, I thought I'd never find it..
I've also noticed it isn't the only map with a new fat shame.....All the crying about the new UI, but honestly there are much bigger issues, I mean even crotus pren now has a basic loop that's a fat shamble. There's always something new!
I'm actually 💕 ng the survivor animations at least. No more jumping squats from a downed survivor going into hatch, it was nice to see them actually crawl in like they should.
Hadn't noticed the shame spot there, but funnily enough, the greenhouse (Or whatever it's supposed to be with the pallet in it) is also broken. You can literally walk through the walls into it, and out. There's no collision on it so killers can just avoid the pallet and hit you.

Yeah it really doesn't. I can show you a game that has a UI that takes up more than 50% of the screen if you like. People seriously need to stop being so dramatic. Yes, it's not a favoured update, but it's not as bad as people keep making it out to be.

Thing is,you can control and turn a LOT more on PC which puts you as a console blight player at a huge disadvantage,it's about about janky controls
No killer in this game has that much of a disadvantage wgen playing on console
Just watch some clips from the streamer AscensionWho and you'll understand
For example the lethal rush hit at around 1:55
I see what you mean now. I've don't really see PC Blight much on videos I watch, but the difference is actually insane. Biggest thing I noticed was his ability to turn the camera without turning blight himself, and the fact he has much faster camera turns. So I take back what I said. Blight really is bad on console compared to PC!

Really? I knew there were huge issues with swamp and generators but I never saw that tree spot before, and it happened pretty consistently when I went to Pale Rose after the update, damn
I think there's a couple of spots. I know of one near Killer shack, where a gen spawns with the sort of walkway beside it. There's a spot there you get blocked from. There's also another at the oppisite side of the map where a wooden boat should be that does the same. Gens are the same as you say, certain spots won't let you work on then despite being clearly accessible.
-
Demogorgon is supposed to sound like this. He/She/It isn't a human. It's a beast. So yes it's going to make a lot of sound because usually that's what animals do when hunting, or in this case, a cross-dimensional creature. Also, Doctor has extremely heavy breathing when he's walking, the same as Wraiths growling sounds.
-
@OniWantsYourMacaroni said:
Learning blight on console isn't worth it at all.
The turn rate you can get on PC compared to console is huge.
You will never come close to PC blight performance.Just watch AscensionWho on Twitch and you'll understand
As someone who mains Blight on PS4, I respect your opinion and all but it's not THAT bad on console. Sure, I can imagine it's far easier to control on PC but a lot of us have grown up on console. We're used to jank controls at this point.
-
This has been a thing for a while now, long before this patch. It's so annoying when it happens. I've started calling it the 'Fat shame' spot because I see survivors just run through fine, but as killer I get stuck
-
There's defintly something screwy with either Servers or Hitboxes. I've played a few matches as both sides so far. As killer I'll have some matches where my attacks literally just phase through their bodies, where others I'll swing too early but they down and teleport backwards, meaning some kind of connection issue, despite my ping being stable and pretty low, along with everyone in the match. As survivor, I've had 2 matches with the same thing, just without the teleport. A doctor swung at me at Shack as I ran around the corner and he hit me, despite him being inside the shack at the time. Then there was a pallet that managed to stun him before he even got to it. So I'm leaning toward server issues, but possible hitbox issue.
-
As a PS4 player, I don't personally mind the new change. Though, I'm used to this kind of layout from playing Final Fantasy 14 since you have to be looking pretty much everywhere all the time. I do agree that it's a little messy though. They could have just kept the portraits in the usual spot. And Gen counter being top centre seems a strange place to plant it. I like the change, but that's just my personal opinion.
-
Complete oppisite for me. I'm swinging at them and it phases through them. 3 times I Lethal Rushed as Blight at a Meg, and it just phased her. One of them even stun locked me, as if my serum ran out but no animation played for 3 seconds, then it did the fatigue animation.

we did give it a chance, @Mikeasaurus. it sucks. it sucks so hard everyone i know (including myself) are not currently playing as we would be right now. one doesn't need a week to see the game is now unplayable. it IS that bad.
Right. Because 4 Portraits impacted holding M1/R1/RB or whatever button you use. Or hitting survivors. I get it. It's not a great look for the UI but people are taking it to such an extent. It's more bandwaggon jumping than anything. I personally don't care where the UI is laid out. I'm used to looking all over my screen for info since I play Final Fantasy 14 which needs me to constantly look everywhere, but the whole 'I have to look everywhere for info' just doesn't seem like a real reason for the hate.

It’s a hook counter. There are twelve notches since the maximum amount of hooks a killer can get in a single match is 12. If 8 notches are red that would mean every survivor is on death hook assuming 4 are still alive or 6 notches are red but two are dead meaning the other two survivors haven’t been hooked at all yet.. that sort of thing. It’s supposed to help killers keep track I guess but I can’t see myself ever paying any attention to it.
Ahh makes sense. I thought it was some kind of timer personally. Doesn't seem like it would really help much since you don't really know who's been hooked multiple times unless you're keeping track, which I don't really. But good to know what it's supposed to be doing.
-
Man, 8 whole people left the game? Games for sure dying then. People seriously need to give the UI a chance. It's not even that bad. And the new animations, while yes they seem kinda robotic, aren't even that bad.
-
Well I've had one match using new clown and he seems... Normal? I mean, I'm not a big clown player but he does seem better, esepcially the reload speeds. Can't seem to find a good use for the Speed gas personally. The UI isn't bad. One thing that really confuses me is the hook icon I got when playing as Clown. It just didn't seem to explain what that was all about and nowhere in the in-game help pages does it tell you either.
-
Not even close. Survivors are at fault for it for not paying attention to where the gens are and which ones to complete. If anything, survivors who refuse to even attempt to repair and hide the entire time are more hostage holding than anything.
-
@bepis said:
For some reason it's always a Doctor who decides to let me go, after shocking me for 2 minutes straight because it's fun i guess. On the other hand ive NEVER been spared by a Clown but it's understandable.
Lore wise i think Pig would consider letting you go if you show enough will to live
As a fairly regular Doctor player, yes, this is the reason. I find a strange joy hearing survivors scream. I don't know why, and it's a slight bit concerning but meh, I have fun. I also do it with Clown since I'm hot garbage as him.
To the OP's question, I've always thought Spirit would be the one to let someone go. Her backstory has always gotten to me. She was never meant to be a killer, she just became one because of her need for revenge against her Dad who brutally murdered her mother, then proceeded to do it to her. You see it in the lobby, the slight moment she seems to snap to reality and realise what she's become, and it always breaks my heart when her face goes from pure evil to pure fear and sadness.
-
I've always wanted to see the people who rely on the same 4 'Meta' perks actually remove them, and use something else and see if their skills still work out. I'd guess a vast majority would crumble without them. I personally used a few of them once, and felt they hindered me far more than anything. They all just felt so lazy and unskilled to use, or 'Crutches' maybe. It felt like I could mess up but have a quick fix which personally I don't like. If I messed up then I can learn from that mistake. But using a Perk to fix that mistake isn't teaching me anything, beyond I can just press a button and boom, I'm free.
Oh, also 'Git gud killer main' /s 😄

Well yes, thats what I thought, but I want advice on what to do then^^
Its not a rare occurance this happens too, sure its not 20 minutes most of the time, but many survivors will wait hours to get hatch.
I dont want to DC because if I get a few games in a row where this happens I get punished + I literally won the match already.
I dont want to AFK too because why even play then?
I know what you mean. Honestly, unless you're running Stridor or Whispers, you're outta luck unless you manage to spot them in the distance or they ran for a split second and left scratches. I've had the exact same matches before. I got fairly lucky when I had a couple of them though since I was Ghostface, so they sometimes looked at me and indicated they were close since they were almost breaking me out. Since you were playing Clown, if it happens in the future, maybe start just spray and pray the bottles? Throw them into areas where it seems a good hiding spot, see if you could make them scream or give some kind of indication they're close. Other than that, there's not much else you could do really

trying to not get killed if it was a 3 gen situation isn't "holding the game hostage" (not saying this one was but in those I would do the same thing) it's waiting for the other guy to be stupid or unlucky rather than being stupid yourself, so that you can be the one that gets the hatch.
Regardless of wether or not there was a 3 gen or not, letting the game carry on for 20 minutes doing nothing to even attempt to progress is pretty much holding a match hostage. The killer can't exactly wave a magic wand and make them appear, and if they are constantly creeping around the map, it's incredibly difficult to even spot them unless they somehow mess up. Survivors should just learn to take a bullet and just risk it instead of constantly hiding the entire match. If you're going to lose, you're going to lose. No need to waste the killers time because of it.
-
Personally I think the change is healthy. The only survivors I ever see running it is usually the SWF teams who sweat harder than a pro-athlete. At least this change will negate them completely screwing over a killer and not give an entire team an advantage because 1 single perk tells them where the killer is and what his schedule is at all times.
-
It's humans being humans. Give people 2 sides and a vast majority will choose only 1. A few will choose both sides and understand more, where the ones who choose the single side will never see a point the other is making and always try to point out a negative about it.
-
In the 3 years of playing DbD, with over half of that time having Cross-Play, I have encountered 1 single hacker in my entire time of playing. Hacker's aren't running around rampant as you seem to beleive.
-
Honestly despise players who do this. I've had too many matches where I'm down to 2 players, and I manage to find 1 whos actually trying to do a gen but the others nowhere in sight. Usually I'll just leave them to the gen and let them have hatch when it's appeared and hunt down the hider. Anyone that hides, usually in the hatch area, will get a nice facecamp to death because screw players like this. It's a game. Nobody likes losing sure, but letting someone else lose just so you get your free escape is a sad way to play. I've had it done to me far too many times as survivor, which I usually struggle on hook long enough so they get found.
-
I recently started using Plague more on PS4 myself recently. Bought her about a year ago and avoided her like... The plague... 😑
Honestly, she is so much fun. I get railroaded for sure, but theres just some strange pleasure I get from throwing up on survivors and torturing them with it. There are times when I use her power and it just seems to phase right through a survivor which can be annoying but I love her now. I like going full machine gun in an open area and seeing if I manage to hit someone off in the distance.
-
Cute, you think Doctor is OP. He's far from OP. The constant red stain on you either came from being in a chase with him in Madness 2, or you were in Madness 3 which causes the TR to play until you break out of Madness, easily done if he's away from you. The passive effects are simple to manage if you actually pay attention to skill checks appearing. Yes, they can be annoying but the whole point of them is to basically throw you off. Doctor is sending you mad, so the gameplay matches. The fake images of him are just a tell to him so he knows where someone was/is. And as for the 10 minutes of game time? That's a decent match since most matches I get are over in 4-5 minutes.

It's the oppisite for me. Mornings and afternoons are super calm. It's actually enjoyable in my matches. Nobody is really going mega tryhard mode, and it's generally a fun time. Nights are when the real nightmares come out to play for me.
-

I really like this map on both sides, unless I see a blendette or two in the lobby in which case they have to die first or I'll never see them again.
You'd have loved my match last night then. 4 SWF Blendettes on Saloon. My god. It was a literal spot the survivor. No gens were being done, which was nice, until I spent 10 minutes walking the entire map not finding any of them and not 1 gen was touched. Honestly couldn't tell if they were just meming or trying to be toxic.
-
Because most killers will just up and dodge when they see a survivor holding a key and if they don't dodge, then they can bring Franklins. Doing a switch at the last second stops the killer having enough time to equip Franklins to defend against it, and it's pretty much going into the loading screen at that point.
-
I third that. Like, who cares at this point? Let them get their free escape if they want it so bad. You're no better, if not worse for making them bleed out for 4 minutes.
-
At this point the horse has been beaten into a bloody pulp on the floor, brought back from the dead then bashed in again. These posts are becoming a form of animal abuse to this poor dead horse. We get it. Matchmaking broken, Solo Queue awful, killers camp, etc etc.
-
I've been edging away from DbD, mainly because late night killer is a nightmare, and Solo Queue is like trying to get blood from stones. I've been getting back into Final Fantasy 14, and also CoD: Cold War Zombies. DbD just doesn't keep me interested as it used to. Sure it's fun to play one or two matches, but that's it really. It feels more stressful than it should be

You'd think right? Solo Queue has you covered on that! I spend more time trying to rescue potatoes from hooks than actually physically touching a gen. It's been so long since I felt the touch of a sparking generator... 😂

Pretty much all the time. I never play for wins or kills, or if I'm survivor, for the lols in chases. I go in to have a fun match and just earn some BP. Winnings overrated these days.

Have you heard the woman scream on The Game?! My god. The echo went on for ages! It was like her scream embedded into the walls! I was killer and it felt like she was trying to kill ME!

Because I'm dead inside and I hate myself. Jokes aside, I don't get it myself. I mean, sure, nobody likes to lose, evidenced from the way people DC left and right because 'Insert X Reason here'. I myself never DC over a loss. Though, I just play for fun, and if I win, then it's a bonus. If I can clearly see I'm about to lose I'll just mess with survivors a little and wait for them to leave. I can't understand why some killers would get to the end of a match, then DC and lose all their earned BP, and waste time even playing the match. I mean, a win isn't everything. Can't we all just enjoy gaming again instead of making it such a contest?
