Let's not also forget that Blight and Twins are also owed a map of some sort as well since they released without a map of their own. I hope all 3 get one since the current maps are getting super stale to see over and over.
-
I've never seen Leatherfaces films but I pretty much get the gist of cannibals and man-child. Same as Freddy. Never watched em since those films terrify me even now as a 31 year old adult but I get their general gist. Resident evil general gist is zombies and biological viruses that create mutatitions and zombies. Pretty straight forward most of the time. Unless you delve into the non virus zombies. Then it's a little more complicated.
-
I was getting nothing but Coldwind for a couple days. Last night though it kept giving me Midwitch. As much as I love SH, I despise that map now.
-
The rift is designed so you need 1 level per day. 70 days - 70 levels. If you miss a few days it's not too bad to catch up but miss a couple weeks and you'll struggle to play catch up even with challenges from the tomes.
-
I had a hacking deathslinger last night while playing with my friend. At first he said has deathslinger always been this fast? Which I assumed he just got bloodlust. Then he chases me and hits me. All normal till a literal second later I'm suddenly speared from behind. I assumed STBFL so just put it down to that. I get unhooked and he's back. So I prepare myself around what I THOUGHT was STBFL. He shots and misses. His reload is super fast. Much faster than the add-on speed. I get a little suspicious at this point. He gets me and I die. I spectate and one of the randoms have the perk to see auras when gens are done (I forget it's name) and I see Deathslinger literally aiming through a wall right at the Meg I'm spectating following her literal movement. Turns out he was using a very minor speed boost, a reload boost beyond the normal via add-on and some sort of wallhacks/aimbot to track survivors behind Los blockers and buildings. And he was rank 1. I just couldn't believe a rank 1 was hacking. And just to clarify. He had no add ons equipped, and his only perk was NOED.
-
As killer iterate but I've had survivors stay behind after everyone else leaves and they let themselves die for me even though I'm practically trying to throw them out the door. Usually they tell me they wanted me to get some points. I also find it's more solo survivors who do it over swf teams. As survivor I always give a killer who struggled and played fair a free kill. They usually just refuse but I'd rather they get some points than none.
-
It's certainly getting that way for both roles for me. As survivor I either get crappy teammates or killers who camp and tunnel at 5 gens and as killer I get esport wannabes who go for world record escape times. Even trying to just have fun with my friend in the game has become a chore because it's becoming more and more unfun with the way people currently act in the game.
-
Just seems the game crashed on you and you got a penalty for losing connection. It happens. The felix most likely had nothing to do with it.
-
So i watched both clips and you didn't spawn 'right next' to the killer. You ran toward the killers TR. As for killers finding you first, that's just down to luck. The killer will instantly begin to patrol gens and will try head to one fairly close to where they spawned. Not only that but just because you hear the TR doesn't mean they are close. They could be using a perk to boost its size or in doctors case, add ons. People have pretty much said the exact same thing. I don't understand why you're adamant on they're wrong in what they're saying.
-
I've played Blight since release on PS4 and despite his limitation on turns on console I've never had issues using his power effectively. I don't understand why people are so adamant that if this flick thing gets fixed Blight suddenly becomes terrible. I mean to me personally if you need to rely on a broken exploit to use something in the game then it feels like a big lack of skill. I'll most likely be attacked over this opinion but that's all it is. Opinion.
-
This has been a thing since dedicated servers launched. It still baffles me that it STILL isn't fixed. It gets super frustrating when you get frozen mid grab and the survivor is able to gain distance over something that is completely out of your control.
-
Honestly i despise grab challenges. The first tome had the exact same and it took me near a year to finish the final level of it just because grabs never worked. I recently had a Trapper who farmed for it which I happily helped him with. But grabs should not be a challenge when most times they never work thanks to the server deciding you were just giving them a pat on the back.
-
Yep. I started at Rank 4 on his release. I'm now rank 11 and still dropping. Zero regrets.
-
I play both sides fairly equally and I encounter a LOT of campers and tunneled. Now I don't care if they want to do it personally. That's for them to decide. What I don't agree with is when they choose to do it at 5 gens. Camping someone late game sure. As killer you do feel the pressure when all 4 are still standing and you need to slam on the pressure somehow so that's fine. But what I don't understand is why do it at 5 gens. I know gens can go fast and as killer it does make you feel powerless when it happens but I feel like someone deciding to just outright camp and tunnel 1 person at the start is them throwing the entire match. Now I don't camp or tunnel at any point but that's more personal preference. If I'm going to lose so be it. I just wish there was more alternatives for killers to take when the match starts going out of their control over what we currently have.
-
I have to agree that being placed in a SWF lobby as solo is a nightmare at times. Can't tell you how many times I've been left to go to 2nd stage and almost die because they would rather focus on a gen over save the random. I do have to say that not every SWF is like this though. I've met swf teams that have done everything in their power to protect me and even gave me their items at match start. So despite a vast majority of them acting toxic at times, just remember that not everyone is like that. You can still find decent ones among the awful one's.
-
I once got camped to death because a Jane decided to head on the killer as I was running from basement after being unhooked. He blamed me for her head oning him and claimed we were a SWF toxic bully team. I had no idea she was even in the locker. The best part of it is that the same guy (who is on ps4 the same as me) will always face camp me to death if he sees me in his match or sabo me if I'm survivor. It's adorable
-
I enjoy messing with killers with BBQ personally. I always run kindred so I see their aura just suddenly lock onto me and I take that moment to point at them and tell the come here. It's kind of mental glove slap for demanding satisfaction and a duel!
-
I think it's been about 3 weeks since I've seen spooky Myers. It's mostly been spirit and Freddy for me and Tricksters since the update. I do miss me some Myers though. The only killer in this game that still makes me jump a mile high when I turn the camera and he's just silent watching me.
-
Damn. I came in here with my pitchfork and torch ready. You got me good sir. 10/10
-
It's quite sad when I see killers tunnel and camp. I understand why they do it sometimes due to gens flying out faster than they can keep up but when they're doing it at 5 gens. Yeah. That's a no from me. But that's not to say survivors are any better either. Both sides just seem to be holding contests of who's junk is bigger. I mostly play killer now since solo q is nightmare fuel and of course killers antics. Even when I'm losing badly and these past couple days I have as trickster I never camp or tunnel. I've even had survivors post-game ask why I didn't go back to the hook when I saw them going toward it. It's really disappointing that survivors now just expect you to rush back. Me personally I don't play for wins. I play to have fun and laugh at myself when I mess up. It's just a shame there aren't more willing to dial back the sweat for a change.

Shall we make it the three of us? I'd rather suffer with someone else than suffer alone.
Yes! It shall become a known club and soon enough survivors will fear our fabulousness 😁
-
Finally. A fellow Trickster main. We can suffer together for our pretty boy! The survivors may get away but at least we look good letting them!
-
In my last 24 hours of playing him I have only just achieved a 4k on Midwitch (And only just missed adept thanks to chaser) and that was only because they kept running in a straight line when I threw knives at them. Unless you face potatoes you're going to be bulldozed as him

Remember according to the STATISTICS, Object of Obsession is a fair perk that doesn't need any nerfs. I had to look in cringe, and feel like I had to wheeze after hearing that.
When they said it on stream I laughed expecting them to be joking. Still waiting on the punchline on that one...
-
10/10. You had me going till the end. Gg! 😁
-
This actually really helps me since I use my phone to come on here and the Twitter bar doesn't show for me. So thanks!
-
It depends on the time of day really. I find on EU servers daytime is instant survivor and long killer times but when night hits it's instant killer and an average of 20 min survivor queue times.
-
The whole recoil thing makes zero sense to me. I'm a super casual in cod since I o my ever play Zombies on there and even then. When I play Multiplayer the game doesn't have me shooting guns upward to the sky. The recoil on Trickster shouldn't be there imo. It's like Huntress suddenly having aim sway as if she was aiming a sniper or even deathslinger.
-
I find their excuse of limited data to be complete bs personally. Every single person, wether it was players on PTB or people who watched it via streams or YT all unanimously agreed he is far too weak. This honestly shows that BHVR relies far too heavily on numbers and statistics rather than actual humans saying outright: killer weak.
-
I have to agree. I've been using him since release and you really get the sense he's just enjoying the thrill of hunting. He's not like your normal killer who just hunts and hooks. This guy is making it obvious he's excited for the chase and is loving seeing survivors fleeing in terror. Despite his obvious flaws they nailed his sociopath vibe.
-
I have to admit his music is fantastic but he really does need to be toned down on the breathing and laughter. It was cute at first hearing him giggling like a madman but when he's constantly doing it in a chase it gets a little annoying. Pretty sure he didn't even do that in the PTB. They just need to keep it like it was from the PTB. Laugh every now and then and after hitting with knives or a M1.
-
I really doubt anyone was expecting instant 4ks. At the least we expected a killer that could actually... you know? Maybe kill someone? The only Trickster I've seen all night actually win against a team was one who literally slugged with NOED. Beyond that every single Trickster has failed to even get a single kill when I've VSd him. And some of these were Rank 1 killers. They know how to play at the very least so it shows he's extremely underpowered and is in major need of help. Everyone even pointed this out from his PTB and yet this is the end result. The exact same issues. I'm not denying some will be great as him but when there are more people losing everyone over the ones who manage at least a 1k there's a serious design flaw.
-
Do you realise how broken this would be for survivors. If their camera is literally them staring into a gen with the sounds of it blaring away you'd never hear the killer behind you. The game isn't even meant to be scary anyway. It just uses horror tropes (Slashers, Monsters, etc) as it's gameplay hook
-
@stvnhthr said:
I don't like him. He is not a monster or horror related, he just seems like a jerk or a d*ckhead, not a terror.
I also have a soft spot for punk culture. He feels like a 1980's villain, just dress some one up like a punk and you know they are the bad guy.
He feels like a dork auditioning to be in the Joker's gang to menace Batman. Seriously K-Pop, what about that music makes you think "Ooh, that is survival horror material."
Give both his and the new survivors lore a read. It's extremely dark and messed up. It doesn't have to be a monster to be a killer this messed up.

how come every time a killer comes ut everyone talks sh*t about it-
Have you played the new killer? He's complete trash right now. He might as well be called the doormat because survivors can walk all over him and he's powerless to do anything about it. He'll even Twins could at least camp you to death. This guy would take longer than OAP to even re-catch you
-
I sometimes wonder for sure. I do wish console could chat with them. I've had matches where the killer was fun to play against and I'd want to say gg for the fun match. Others I've had where it's clearly a baby killer or someone who's new to the killer and I just wanna perk them up and tell them to keep at it. It's just a shame most end game chat (including console PMs) is usually some toxic garbage that's been heard a thousand times before.
-
It's sad but people really are pushing newbies away. My friend had seen me playing the game over the years and was interested. He's never really been one for these styles of games overall since he's more a FPS gamer. I warned him it would be rough going at first with him being new but he wanted to try. His first match was against a full SWF of red ranks and 1 single Rank 16 who proceeded to sabo hooks in his face, flashlight him and pallet stun every chance they got. Afterwards he got so much abuse via messages since they were on Xbox with him that he uninstalled it right away. He still asks me now why I play this game when this is the abuse people give out and I still can't give him an answer because I don't even know anymore. I love the game but every match leaves me asking the exact same question now
-
I would like to know too. After the match I just had I really would like to know since the killer (Ghostface) was losing badly until he decided to facecamp when an exit was open. I was the only 1 to escape where the rest threw themselves at him and died. Is this ghostface skilled? Does he now deserve to go against a better team? DO I deserve to go against harder because I didn't sacrifice myself to him? What is the skill we're being measured on here?

Most probably a bug, but I would not mind if it stayed.
Let's face it. Her sound bug that helped survivors have a fighting chance was removed within weeks. As much as we can hope and pray, the same will happen again.
-
I don't see the issue beyond you were the toxic one for doing that. People ALWAYS try unhook when there's enough time when your close. Who cares if you don't get points for an unhook. You still get to heal them and possibly take a protection hit. What you did was just sad and pretty much griefing over a little thing.
-
I always try to be a good sport in my games. No camping or tunnelling and if I've lost then I'm not going to turn into a sweat. I just let everyone go and give them extra points for healing or pallet stuns. I like to think that me just letting survivors see that not every match needs to be a sweatfest might at least give them a little hope that not every killer in this game is an arsehole who just tryhards every match and they in turn dial it back a little.
-
I know the feeling. I've swore I'm leaving this game for good 3 times this month and uninstalled it twice just to reinstall it because I hate myself. I will leave one day. Maybe. Probably not but maybe!

The worst thing is feeling pressured because some people will suicide if they aren't unhooked immediately even if it would be better for a team to finish a gen first for example or wait for the killer to be far enough.
Running towards someone trying to kobe out of spite makes me a little bit pissed off tbh. I mean come on you aren't even close to stage 2 can't you have a little patience? You got down in 3 seconds and you act like someone else is bad for not unhooking you immediately.
So much this. I've had people message me post-game telling me I'm an idiot for not in booking instantly. If my gens about to finish and you're fresh hooked, guess which one is being given attention first. Why would I abandon a gen to possibly return to it regressed when you have like 40 seconds before you hit struggle. The same goes for people who dive bomb at me on a hook. I'll see them on the gen as I'm being carried and suddenly sonic the hedgehog arrives and rips me off the hook before the killer even breathes. If there were people slugged then yes. By all means rush a hook. But when the games calm there's no need for people to act like the games over if you spend more than 5 seconds hooked.
-
I generally only watch Otz when a new killer is released on Ptb or full release since I feel like he goes more in depth about what that killer can do and what the new survivors perks could combo with. I personally prefer to watch Tofu for killer content overall though.

That’s honestly so embarrassing on their part. Imagine taking a game that seriously that you feel the need to get ‘revenge’ on somebody who beat you? Lol. I wish I knew why my teammates did it but they had their privacy settings so that you couldn’t message them. How shocking. The killer claims they did nothing wrong, but they literally saw what they were doing, nodded a long and then farmed with them, so how can they not see they’re also at fault? This player base is just so childlike at times. It’s rare for me to get a game nowadays where there isn’t somebody deliberately trying to annoy somebody else.
Yep. It's pretty sad. I only knew since they were also on ps4/5 and they confirmed it for me. It was super colourful too. I rarely play survivor these days beyond for challenges because of this kind of behaviour.

I just had a bully killer as well. All I said was ggwp post game and he went into a flurry of insults and slander because I hit him with DS after he tunneled me off hook (and about how I am why it's getting nerfed, even with the nerf it would have still been up I never did anything else).
Thing is you can't report like 90% of the toxic behavior in DBD, it takes super extremes. The player base is low so they fear losing too many players; so they very rarely take action.
I've literally tested this. We let a toxic guy stay in our discord and keep playing with us for a bit; and we reported him ourselves after games after he would tell people to kill themselves and everything else- and he was never banned. Not even once. Not so much as a time out.
There is almost no consequence to being awful to other people in DBD.
I'd say I'm surprised but nothing shocks me with this game anymore. I get the low playerbase but I still can't accept that as an excuse. If I was a dev I'd rather have my playerbase be dead than let people go around cyber bullying. All it takes is to say it to the wrong person who could be suffering heavily with mental health. I know most are just keyboard warriors who wouldn't say boo to anyone irl but there's been far too many deaths over cyber bullying over the yesrs for it to just be ignored by the devs.
-
It's sad that you had to deal with this. BHVR need to get a serious grip on the bullying in this game. Regardless of wether the people in question thought they were just having fun, bullying should NOT be accepted by anyone. Especially game devs who seem to turn a blind eye to it far too often. I myself just had the exact same experience from a SWF group who came and t-bagged me on hook and left me to die first hook. The reason? I beat them as The twins 5 minutes before I played survivor. It was just so childish. I mean I've encountered a few survivors who beat me as killer or survivors while I play killer and never felt the need to act a twat to them. Hopefully you don't get this again though. This game should be an enjoyable time for all. Not just a minority of people.

They should just go by hours played for matchmaking.
That's a good idea in theory but hours played doesn't mean someone is skilled. I've played for almost 3 years now and I'd say I'm around average skill minimum. I can just about handle a chase but I always mess up with mind games on both survivor and killer. If I were to be matched based on my total playtime I'd be smashed so hard into the ground it wouldn't even be funny.

Ever since dedicated servers went live, I've been unable to consistently counter flashlights. I didn't have a problem before dedicated servers, but now I just always run Lightborn because otherwise avoiding blinds feels completely out of my control.
I know the feeling. I just had a Meg blind me from behind even though my pick up animation clipped itself through a T-wall. There was physically no way she could hit the angle but she managed it somehow from behind me. It's beyond frustrating when this happens and just feels like the game royally screws you over.

In those cases, what can the solo survivor do to help you have fun?
Serious question.
Doesn't have to be solo survivor. I'm not saying every SWF is out to ruin the fun but when your going against constant teams who slam out gens like there's no tommorow it gets boring fast. I don't play to win but it'd be nice to actually get a chance to get some points at least and have a match last longer than 5 minutes for a change.
-
I've just had 5 matches in a row against 3 man swfs with OoO. One of them was even nice enough to send me to Midwitch as trapper. I'm starting to feel more and more like killer is just their punch bag for their fun. I could care less if I win or lose. I just want to enjoy myself too but lately it seems impossible.
