I had Swamp, Haddonfield then Crotus, then 3 Dead Dawg in a row. Now it's back to terrible maps again. Haven't even found any offerings for the new map either, if they actually exist yet.
-
I've been doing fine with aiming. Though it does feel a little slow when aiming left or right, but beyond that, it's not that bad. Just take some time to get used to it and time the shots.
-
I love him so far. I don't mind that I don't rack kills since he's such fun to harpoon a survivor and shake my head as they try to escape.

Retrubution plus any hex perks shoukd be great. Devour hope is my favorite perk in the game so i am particularly excited to try that combo out
I thought about using DH but at the same time, I usually fail to get charges because they always unhook just as I get close to the token range.

You'll have an amazing time I got 10 straight 4ks in a row with these builds.
I'll be sure to test it out! I've been getting 1 or 2 kills per match at the moment, so hopefully this combo will help pile up that death count!

Try the build I just gave you, Hex destroyed "damn Hounted Grounds is on and I can see everyone's aura cause of Retribution! BOOM!
Devour Hope is on! Shoots harpoons, insta downs wevery time!
3K, the 3rd guy is running to hatch, I won't make it... BOOM! Harpooned! Dragged back towards me and insta downed cause of NOED!
You sir, are a beautiful monster. I'm going to give this build a try once I get the perks. Been trying to figure out a good combo for Hex: Retribution. Should be interesting to play!
-
Currently on Xbox, killer wait time for me is about 5 minutes at Rank 8. I guess everyone want's to play Cowboy for the day!
-
Honestly this makes more sense than the current one. I get that they don't 'die' since they're forced to repeat the Trials over and over, but it would be a nice touch to only see the ones who actually escaped.
-
Blendette's are my worst nightmare as killer. Not that they last long to use any bushes of course.
Meg's are awful for me. Anytime I see a Meg, they start of with a nice casual walk, then I count it down to a full-on Sonic sprint away.
I love Janes, but I get very nervous around them near a locker.
David's are always the cocky ones who like to act tough with their Dead Hards, but many I've encountered always mess it up.
Dwight's are just adorable and I just feel bad when you see a baby Dwight trying his best to hide. I like to pretend I didn't see him and let him see another day... Sometimes.
I love Nancy. She always feels like the one who's trying their best. However, Steve's seem to bring out a strange internal anger that requires them to be hunted down.
-
Infectious, Oni's Iri Add-On to cause screaming on missed Demon Strike hits, Iron Maiden, the list goes on. As long as the survivor screams and shows the scream outline aura it should count.

I agree with you:) I'm pretty sure there will be some game in the future that will challenge there game:) and when that does happen I am leaving this game for good unless they improve :)
Resident Evil 3's Project Resistance and Predator both arrive in April, and Last Year is still on PC for now. DbD will have some serious contenders very soon. Hopefully the devs shape up before they start losing the race, because as bad as this game can be for bugs and issues, it can still be a fun game.
-
On Xbox I see far more Spirit's than Freddy. I'd say 70% of my matches are VS Spirit. Very rarely see Freddy these days, which is a shame because all the killers are fun to play against, but it seems people only choose the killers that are 'easy'.
-
I've started to enjoy myself again on this game. I was taking it far too seriously and letting my losses get to me, and now, meh, if I die, who cares. I try to mess with killers and survivors now, and just create some fun. People are too focused on the end-game objective and miss out of fun times!
-
I mean, the corn map thing I can agree on as both sides I get it a little too much, but hey, that's just RNG. Same as the Add-On's. I guess you could say everytime I don't get a Perk I need for my survivor, the game's out to get me? You're really reaching if you think just because a single Add-On didn't appear, the devs are secretly conspiring against us!
-
Oh look, another 'Nerf X Killer Perk because OP'. People really can't let us killers enjoy nice things. Every killer perk has some kind of a counter-perk so no, it is not OP. Just learn to play around these things before screaming for nerfs!
-
I cannot tell you how handy this would be! I like to switch between each and I always forget to remove the survivor challenge when I play killer and vice versa. Would be a fantastic QoL change.
-
It's hit 2 survivors and reveals Gens that have a GOOD or GREAT skillcheck just completed highlight in yellow for X time. Not infinite, and defintly not OP
-
I gave up on Prestiging once I had way too many perks on either side to re-unlock. Too much hassle and RNG praying the Perk I want will appear. I've only prestiged Ghostface to P3, and currently working on Demo to P3. Beyond that, everyone else is 50 until I maybe decide to start prestiging them once I finally have all unlockables done and no more need for BP.
-
I hate survivors who do this kinda thing. Had it happen a few times to me. I don't mind giving the other survivor the item if they're hovering around the chest I'm opening, I'm all for sharing out the items, but if someone snipes my chest instantly, I may just 'forget' you got hooked later. Hopefully they'll just make it so you auto-equip items if you're empty handed in the future.
-
I cannot tell you how many Red ranks I have seen just rush in to a hook. I'll be crouching toward the hook, and boom, Alturistic Claudette just rushes and alerts Hag. It really baffles me that so many high ranks can't figure it out to either Flashlight the traps or crouch.
-
Honestly it is getting very boring. I'm just playing it for now since console don't have other types of this genre. I'm waiting on Project Resistance with RE3 release and I'm gone. I try to enjoy DbD but you just really can't. As killer I usually mess around with survivors, but a vast majority just want to slam gens and escape instantly. As survivor, I don't want to sit holding gens. I like to search for Totems, chests, get into chases, but so many killers have gone mega tryhard, it's not even fun. If things don't change soon, I'll be leaving the game for good. I'm trying so hard so see positives in my matches, but that's getting pretty hard these days.

From what I've gathered so far it seems like a weird bug.
But it's hilarious to think that Myers is just hiding in the trials stalking everyone when he's not participating.
I hear it as Survivor too, and man, every time it get's me. I kinda freak out when I can't see anything but keep hearing it. I kinda hope one day the bug evolves and he just Tombstone kills me from nowhere. That would be hilarious to see.
-
You know, in every match, despite the killer I'm using, I always hear a weird deep breathing in my ear randomly. I always think it sounds like Myer's breathing.

As a new player using him i dont understand whenever i hook someone the bbq chili kicks in so i go try to find the other players have i been using him wrong
BBQ activates for about 3 seconds and highlights the Survivors in Red that are a set distance from the current hooked survivor. If there are no auras showing up, they're either very close by to the current hook or in a locker.
-
That didn't look like any lag I've ever seen. Seemed almost like they were manipulating their movement axis to sidestep as they ran, which isn't possible as far as I know. I could be wrong, but it didn't seem like they were lagging.

I wish there would be even more Stats in the Main Menu. It would be awesome if i could see my playtime, How much matches i have done and how many Trials i escaped or how many People i killed already or even how many Bloodpoints i earnd totally.
It would be nice to see in-game for sure. I'm on Xbox so I see most of those stats on my DbD Achievements/Stats page but it would be awesome for all platforms to be able to access the same stats.
-
It's being speculated for next week, tuesday if it does. But until BHVR officially announce a release date, we're sort of hoping and guessing right now.
-
I think a lot of people have been requesting a sort of results screen like this, alongside records of past matches for your own personal account. I'd love to be able to see who was sitting on gens or beign chased and who was just potatoing in a corner.
-
The only time I'll get the killer off me is if another teammate runs in front of them to take a hit for me, but otherwise, I avoid gens or any teammates trying to heal. I'll also try distract the killer away from going near areas with gens or healing survivors. It's my one frustration with some survivors that they will lead a chase directly to a near completed gen and messes up the entire thing or directly towards someone freshly off a hook.

LOL, I'm suggesting making killing yourself take an extra minute so the other survivors have that time to sit on a gen.
No one is being forced to do anything other than wait an extra minute when trying to ruin the game for everyone else, seems fair to me.
But what happens when there is a single survivor left as you are hooked, they go down and they're dead on hook? You're then stuck on the hook yourself until the timer runs out. Just let people suicide hooks all they like. It shows the mentality of many survivors today.
-
I personally would welcome crossplay to every platform, but only once Consoles get optimised at long last. Currently on Xbox the FPS drops playing certain killers/maps is bad.
-
It did the same thing to me. I had to redo the challenge just to get it to unlock. You'd think these kinds of things are tested before release. 🤷♂️
-
I usually run it, then don't even get to use it. But the minute I remove it, the killer leaves me and makes me regret removing it. It just depends on how the killer plays really. I've noticed Billy's I go against tend to slug more than other killers but I don't see many Billy's anymore. Mostly just Spirit and Doc.

This game isn't 1vs1. If your team has bad players, it WILL determine the result of a match. The only issue here is the inability of the current rank system to toss players with the same skill level. But soon we will have a whole new matchmaking. Call it unfair as much as you want but that's how teamplay actually works.
Totally agree. People still have this dilusion that ranks are their skill. It really isn't. At least, not anymore. I keep getting reds and purples that play like Rank 20's. Hiding in the basement as final survivor, or self-caring in a remote corner. Then you have some green ranks who play like rank 1's. The second you have an awful teammate, the game is going to go bad because of that 1 single bad link that will essentially lead to others going down because we're trying to keep them alive. Hopefully the new MM system works!
-
Personally, I could care less if I escape as survivor or 4k as killer. As long as I contribute to the team as survivor, or hook everyone at least once as killer, I consider my job done. At the end of the day, we all get BP anyway, so who's really losing out?
-
You seem to be generalising all killers into one group. I never camp hooks, nor proxy camp. The only time I'm remaining near a hook is if a survivor decides to run me around the area, which at that point, if the hooked survivor dies, that's on the survivor that decided to run me near the hook. Yes, some do camp, but not every single killer. I think you just had a few bad games tbh.

i was LITERALLY just pallet looped in this stage which caused me to write my thread. ive been pallet looped before, but this made me very frustrated.
Being pallet looped like this is the reason wars starts.
I know the feeling. I keep getting survivors who use Ormond offerings, then bring along their toolboxes. The second I see the snowy map appear, I pretty much accept defeat because screw that map. One single map I fear going to as killer.
-
I wish they would change it to just holding the button or just remove it all together. The second you miss a tap, and boom. Dead. They could even just add a 'Give Up' option if people really wanted to just suicide hook, or knew they had no chance to get off.
-
That's all this game has turned into now. Survivors will act toxic as hell to killers just for the lols, while killers have to just take it and know they can't do anything about it. This game used to be fun, but more and more groups are just making the game so unplayable for others. And for what? Because it's so funny to see someone rage? But, if it was them on the receiving end, they'd despise it. Really hope this game changes for the better soon!

I can only speak for PC, but since the last matchmaking update... the killer's rank is determined by the highest survivor rank in SWF.
This was taken directly from the Matchmaking Update that released October of last year:
https://i.gyazo.com/37b6268ca66d69af4efdcb3fd4e40566.png
So as you can see, it is broken, because it is not working as intended.
I stand corrected then. It's for sure broken then since it was matching us to Rank 20-16 killers.
-
It is a shame we don't see more for them, but it seems like the survivors who do get cosmetics are usually the ones more used than the ones with a lack of cosmetics. I think if they did start creating more cosmetics for them, we'd see them a lot more in matches, at least more than P3 Blendettes.
-
I wouldn't say it's a bug, since technically, the camera is inside the killers head, so when Billy stops chainsawing, his head lurches forwards, and if you're directly in front of an object, locker/wall, the camera clips through slightly. I don't think there's much that could be done beyond editing his cooldown animation to stop the camera clipping.
-
I love Ghostface. He was my first P3 killer. I love his ability to T-Bag with survivors. Really removes negativity and just shows we can have a bit of fun while playing.
My second has to be Demogorgon. He has one of my favourite chase musics, and despite him sounding like a tank on legs, he's my facourite to go against too. He can be a lot of fun.

One thing that puts her above him is her shots actually do something if your injured and you go to a good loop against him he has no choice but to be looped and he’s 110% so he can be looped a lot longer then say a 115% sure his aiming might be fast but that doesn’t matter when you can’t down someone at a loop with your power like she can..I mean personally I think if you shoot a injured survivor and the break free they should go into dying state but they don’t so his ability is kinda bad compared to huntress also he has to reload and without addons that takes along time
I agree. I don't understand how they don't go down with a shot. They just had a harpoon shoot into their body, but they can just walk off like it was nothing. I'm hoping if they change him, that a harpoon while injured will down them when they break free/he hits them. Otherwise, they really need to boost the speed so he can apply at least sone gen pressure. I'm really looking forward to playing him on release, but it just feels like there are far too many negatives to really be able to enjoy him.

The people on these forums don’t make up the entire killer community. In fact there are over 28,000 players and I don’t see those kinds of numbers visiting the forums so I’m not sure where you get that people are leaving “daily”.
The current matchmaking system is broken, if you’re in a SWF it will pick the highest rank and base the rank of the killer off of that. If a random joins and they aren’t in that same range, that is broken. I presume that is part of what they are working on correcting.
Actually SWF doesn't work that way. The leader of the party will be the deciding rank factor. My friend who joined me on Xbox from his PS4 was only Rank 19, while I'm 2. We were placed into Rank 20-18 games everytime. So matchmaking is not as broken as you think. The matchmaking literally proves Killers are leaving the game if there are no higher ranked ones for Red ranks to face.
-
I've attempted it once, but I'm too respectful at pallets to let them smack me with them. Though I did once Rancor 2 obsessions in the same match thanks to a bug where they both blinded me and the game forced them both to become obsessions.

Running Kindred will do wonders for playing solo queue. Try it out.
From my experience on Xbox, it doesn't help too much. Still get survivors who are terrified to even try for a save, despite seeing the killer walk away, or the fact a yellow survivor is clearly being chased. It does come in handy to see who's not doing anything though so there's that

I think i might have played against you before on Xbox haha. Just goes to show how shallow the playerbase is on there. I think as soon as this new killer/survivor is dropped they need to focus on maybe cross-play with consoles to expand the playerbase. This game is lobby simulator sadly it never used to be. But i'm happy to re-queue to find a half decent ping game than play on those horrible dedicated servers again, that was unplayable.
It is actually crazy how small the player-base is on Xbox. I had the same killer twice in a row, and even played with and against several survivors a few times in the same night. That's kind of alarming if thats how small of a player pool we have now.
-
I have to agree on Xbox it's becoming more and more of a ghost town for Killers. Since Dedicated Servers were taken off all I get now is DC'ing Survivors/Killers or lobby dodging. Spending 30 minutes trying to get a match as survivor is not a fun way to spend my time, and trying to play killer is just getting more and more frustrating by the day. I really do hope they start making serious balance changes asap!
-
I've literally grinded out my rift to 68 now and once it's done, I'm not touching the next one. The challenges just feel like they're the same each time, but with a little extra added for the difficulty. I do enjoy unlocking the lore, but some of the challenges just bring out the most awful playstyles (Looking at you Key challenge!)
