Dwight
I can heavily relate to Dwight's back story and that's the main reason why I played him. The more I played him the more I fell in love with him, and now I call him daddy.
Spirit
I fell in love with Spirit's kit simply because I liked the idea of going blind dbd tracking survivors by sound. Then it got to the point to where survivors were do predictable I would guess where to phase to my predictions were correct.

I'm a rank 1 killer and I am tired of having to sweat, use certain killers, and use certain perks. I want to depip from rank 1 to at least 15 where its more chill, I can play around with other killers, and play around with more perks etc.. Could I be Banned for throwing games and depipping for this?
I understand where your coming from but your best bet is to take a break from the game, and let rank reset depip you.

Goddamn it, could we do something about this? Get in one chase and a gen is done, turn around and another gen is done, down someone and yet another gen is done.
This is absolutely asinine. The winning strategy for killers is slug and tunnel and that's if they can catch someone holding W.
Too. Much. Fun.
Gen speeds now are justified. While gens still do go by fast, the problem isn't Gen speeds. It's the fact that survivors lack a objective prior to gens.

I frankly cannot stand the absolute hypocrisy and whiny complains of the dbd community of killers and survivors running pure meta. Ruindying, UB+DS+DH+BT, etc. People will see these builds and scrape their eyes out screaming in pure agony like they've just witnessed some form of eldritch torture. Its genuinely extremely pathetic how some players cannot handle even the most minor amount of effort from the other side. "Sweat" is a constant entitled pejorative we use against anybody who is trying even remotely hard to win. If you've ever posted a clip of yourself using ruindying or DS+UB the comments will just be flooded with complete brainlets crying about your build, despite the fact you likely never acted in a toxic manner in the clip. Why are DBD players so against people having fun with their strongest builds?
As a survivor I don't mind the killer due to the fact that, if a killer doesn't have slowdown, gens are going to fly by really fast, and if the killer makes one mistake it'll cost them the game.
As a killer, the reason why I can't stand the survivor meta is simply because, it erases survivors mistakes and gives them chances they shouldn't have or don't deserve.

Quite bold to come with Statistics when usually those get despised. Come up with saying that every Killer has at least 60% Killrate and you get destroyed in this forum.
Also, Blight has had several Buffs since then.
@Topic:
The problem is not Blight. Blight in general is an enjoyable experience IMO, except when they are running Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer. In general, stacking multiple Slowdown-Perks is the easiest and most boring way to play Killer, you will have a miserable time against every Killer if they stack Slowdown that much.
Why do you think killers stack slowdown? It may seem boring to you, but are you considering how the killer feels? I'd rather stack multiple slowdown than run 1 slowdown perk and deal with BT, DS, and DH.

You spelt Dwight wrong. And I just had my eyes checked 2 days ago. I also possess the toxic trait of being attracted to men.

84 Killer Perks and only 6-8 of them see any regular use at high-level gameplay. Thats 10% at best- I realize not every perk can be top tier because that's power creep, but we need variety. At least 30-40% of perks on both sides should be somewhat viable.
While i agree, the only way for BHVR to make that 30-40% perks viable is to change the meta up.
The meta is the main thing that needs to be changed in order to let other perks shine.

That's assuming she isnt soundbugged. Devs didnt confirm the changes were intentional. Let alone that Spirit can still track environmental movement and scratchmarks while phasing.
So those are gonna get fixed, that still makes Spirit problematic. IMO, they should simply remove scratchmarks from Spirit's basekit. Make it worth an addon slot in exchange of some of her absolutely broken addons.
Spirit is far from fine. She is still a problem. Just because she is bugged, doesnt mean she's fine.
That's like saying keys are fine, because they cannot open a hatch if more than 2 survivors are nearby the hatch due to a temporary bug.
She is sound bugged and BHVR confirmed it.
I'm not saying her being bugged means she's fine. I'm simply saying that because of her sound bug and she is still doing well isn't a Spirit problem. I've played multiple matches with her current sound bugs and still get kills and survivors DC'ing, because they run predictable paths.
If your gonna get rid of scratch marks while she's phasing you have to compensate her because your essentially nullifying her pre-phase tracking and encouraging her to fake phase so she can use her power efficently.
-
The most fun killers for me to go against are Nurse and Spirit, because they are the only killers that change survivor gameplay.

I think most people can agree that this "debuff" is almost if not completely useless! So I have been thinking, with the new PTB and how the main downside to not doing the side objective is obliviousness, it came to me (KEKW!) Why not make this debuff counter any and all detection perks (not aura reading stuff) such as spine chill, premonition (who tf uses this idk) etc. The debuff itself implies that you aren't paying attention to anything so I feel like countering things like spine chill would be a great way to buff this effect without making it stupid or outright nerfing things like spine chill.
Your practically saying you wanna buff Oblivious status to "Undetectable" status.
My only thing is that if you think Spine Chill shouldn't work while Oblivious, than do the same thing to Undetectable status

Neither have counter play unless you plan your build around them and lots of people from both sides will say one or the other is balanced but neither are. Spirit has no counter play in the slightest if your injured against her there’s nothing you can do unless you happen to run iron will or you’re extremely lucky. Keys also have no counter play, if the hatch has spawned you’ve lost unless you happen to be running franklins. You should never have to center your build around the chance that someone is running something op, I’ve been really annoyed about these things recently and I’m not angry at either side or anyone who runs these things because it’s not your fault that they’re so op I just want to see how other people feel and a civil discussion
As of patch 5.1.0 Spirit isn't the problem. She's literally Helen Keller with a sword when she uses her power. The problem with current Spirit is survivors being predictable, she literally has no tracking. There is no way to nerf Spirit without butchering or defeating the purpose of her kit. I'll link a my video of why you can't nerf spirits kit.
As of keys, you will know if a survivor is bringing a key and if they switch at the last second or you don't feel like putting on Franklin's. I just slug that survivor and leave them slugged. They'll get frustrated and annoyed, but that's how it feels being a killer and having to deal with a key.

I’ll go first, I have 2 actually.
The Twins. Victor getting a 5 seconds stun after a SUCCESSFUL ATTACK, is way too much. I don’t think there is a killer that gets punished for using their power correctly, it’s a shame really.
If the Devs really want to keep it this way, at least make the animation less clunky and make Victor un-kickable after a successful hit, this would fix their main issue against coordinated teams and make them better overall.
The Second is the Crotus Prenn Asylum maps. They are so ugly, the gray and the unnecessary structures on the map really ruined it for me. Father Campbell Chapell used to be one my favorite maps on both sides and it is a horrendous map to play on last gen console.
The main thing that's bothering me about the game is how BHVR really isn't trying to shake up the meta.
Survivor meta is second chances and killer meta is slowdown. As a survivor you really don't have to run the meta to have fun.
As a killer you have to run slowdown to make the match last long enough to have fun, but when you deal with survivor meta perks it just makes you sweat.

Escaping should be a challenge and rewarding. The killers should be overpower and scary and you should have to be carful how you play as a survivor to avoid and escape. You shouldn’t have time or the confidence to troll the killer. I’m convinced this is why killers are being tryhards, tunneling and camping so much. There’s been a dynamic shift.
(yes I just had a string of REALLY bad troll games)
ps: I know I’m gonna get some serious crap for this.
I feel that this is how the game was suppose to feel like, but with time the game evolved to what it is now.
While I agree with what you say, I personally think killers should be overpowered in the 1v1, and even ball game in the 1v4. But the way the game has evolved you can't have both.

Are you also advocating for tinkerer to be changed, as there is no way to avoid it being activated? Compared to other information perks such as BBQ, discordance, etc there is no workaround, and thus zero counterplay. You can’t advocate for DH to be changed because of lacking counter if you don’t hold the same standards for tinkerer.
Tinkerer - Be Vigalente
BBQ - Get out of range or hide in a locker
Dead Hard - Bait it out
Dead Hard (for distance) - No counter
I don't think DH needs to be nerfed, I think it needs a risk factor.

What do you do that keeps you engaged in the game and is it just me who loses interest in this game? Let me know.
Imma rant about this, but I'm about to stop playing again simply because
Survivor
I genuinely find survivor gameplay way too easy and because of that I find it boring. If your not being chased its hold M1. If your being chased, it's Shift + W around a pallet and throw the pallet down. Nurse and Spirit are the only killers I enjoy playing against, I'm still trying to learn to play against Blight.
Killer
It just bothers me that killers are forced to run slowdown to stand a chance or to remotely have fun.
My overall complaint is that BHVR isn't even tempting to shaking up the meta because I'm getting tired off seeing the same killer over and over. I'm tired of playing killer and being forced to run slowdown.

@Malum_Midnight said:
I feel like DH needs a rework, but I’m not sure what it could be
Not a rework but a risk factor to it. DH is a second chance perk with no risk involved. A simple fix to it imo would be to just lock survivors interactions for 1-2.5 seconds, this will force the perk to be used as intended and prevent it for being used for distance

The problem is that S rank killers are S rank specifically because they completely ignore the defenses of the Survivor. Played properly, there's literally nothing you can do against them.
So your skills at the most fun part of the game are totally irrelevant.
Where was the skill at for survivor's in the first place when playing against non S-tier killer? All survivor gameplay really is, is feeding off of information to counter a killer which really isn't skill. It's like taking a open book test and getting happy that you passed (escaped) or getting mad that you failed (died)

You are clearly talking about the "Nerf Spirit" conversations, which was totally fair imo. Every other killer has a counterplay. Besides, Spirit got some sort of nerf in the last patch so the devs clearly agreed.
What other killers is " every survivor" complaining about?
Spirit does have counterplay. Everybody is quick to say that Spirit is the problem. Even as of patch 5.1.0 people are still complaining and DCing against her, even though she's practically Hellen Keller with a sword.
Spirit isn't the problem. Survivors are because survivors refuse to change they're playstyle.

Having wallhax and 0 indicator of when you're uncloaking is not ok. You can literally just cloak at any tile and a down becomes braindead easy. This is not a "strong addon" its entirely unfair.
It's called 'Being Vigalente'. Wraith still has audiable breathing and footsteps.
Because I'm a Spirit main I have no trouble listening and hearing other killers sound queues.
Scratch Mirror Myers: Literally sounds like he's on a breathing machine
Ghostface: when he's nearby he sounds like wind.

People who dc are the biggest problem.
However spirit is sitll up there.
If you re-read my post you will see that I said "Even as of Patch 5.1.0" Spirit can't track while phasing and survivor's are still DCing.
Look through the DCing. Notice how Spirit has absolutly no way to track while phasing and she's still getting downs and people are still DCing.
As of this day I'm still getting DC's when I play Spirit. Especially survivor's who run Iron Will. Looking through the Dc's is Spirit the problem when she's doing so well and she can't see or hear, or are survivor's the problem because they refuse to change their playstyle?

Outplay involves skill. Spirit involves 0 skill. You can't outplay if there's no skill.
What makes you say Spirit requires 0 skill? She requires way more skill than survivor gameplay ever will.
She has to use sound to track, but I guess using your ears instead of your eyes means no effort. Meanwhile survivors want every little detail on what a killer is doing to counter them which really isn't skill in my book.

Spirit is the problem. She lacks consistent counterplay, and there's no telling if she's faking her power or actually phasing. Not to mention that when phasing, Spirit has every advantage over the survivor while the survivor has to guess which move will be the correct one.

I can't see dead hard getting a nerf, only a full rework.
How would you nerf dead hard?
My idea is that they remove the distance factor but keeps the invincibility frame.
This keeps a dynamic between the survivor and killer of "when are they going to use it" but removes the ability of the survivor to gain distance with nothing the killer can do about it.
Personally I don't think Dead Hard needs a nerf or rework, I think it needs a risk factor. The risk factor I would add to this is that survivors can't interact with windows or pallets for 2.5s or however long it takes killers to recover from a whiff attack.

I mean, exposed perks exist. Killers just don't opt to use them too often because they focus on gen regression and game slowdown instead. Understandable as I never really run exposed perks myself as killer.
Instantly downing survivors is actually the best counter to dead hard since they can't use it when they're healthy. Idk I just deal with DH. It's pesky at times but you literally can't nerf it without making it completely useless and I don't think trashing perks is ever a good idea.
You wanna know what the problem is with expose perks.
NOED - 50/50 you can get any value out of this perk
Devour Hope - The totem gets cleansed before you get to 3 stacks
Dragons Grip - Only way to get value out of this is to literally camp the gen
MYC - High mobility killers are the only killers that get value out of this perk

BHVR has adopted a game style where everything has a counter and, I am generally a fan of this style of game. Coming from a long history with CCG's, everything should have a counter.
That being said, I think it's time for a Perk that counters Invisibilty to an extent. My thought is something like "Third Eye" perk for Survivors. Revealing Killers who are invisible but, also revealing yourself to the Killer.
What do you guys think? Currently, it would only really counter 3 possibly 4 Killers in the game at the trade off of revealing yourself to an Invisible Killer. This could open the door to more "Ghostie" type Invisible Killers as well if we have a proper counter for it.
Killers have a status called 'Undetectable' meaning the killer is in stealth status and cannot be detected. This needs to be a thing so stealth Killers stand a chance.
If you have a problem with stealth Killers you need to be more vigilant or run Spine Chill

2 things
1. I don't think Spirit is a problem. I think it ultimately comes down to the fact that survivors don't wanna change their playstyle. They want direct counterplay information for easy mode. Even shadow nerfed Spirit comes down to survivors fault because if you go down, that's survivors fault for being predictable.
2. The way Spirit's current kit is, you can't nerf her without butchering her kit. If you wanna nerf her, you have to rework her ground up.

I'm sorry, but a killer being boring to play against isn't a valid enough reason to nerf them. On top of that there's just no way to nerf his kit with how horrible he already is.
He's a 110 killer therefore he's weak in the 1v4 and very prone to getting gen rushed, his 1v1 depends on how good the player is with him and he can't snowball.
You can't nerf him without making him worse.
-
Personally I think they just need to fix sounds. As a dedicated Spirit main I'm not surprised sounds are broken as usual.
Though I am questioning what is the purpose of Stridor now? The perk was designed to counter IW but they made Yang stronger than Yin.
-
I like to run Third Seal on Spirit. It's hilarious because I watched a vlog of some twitches in a swf and they were losing their ######### screaming "where are you", "Why isn't Kindred working". There communication fell apart, and one of them died on first hook.

@Aneurysm said:
I'm obviously happy to have less stridor spirit in my life but-

2) IW didn't really need a buff
3) There may only be like three of us who like using stridor on other killers or using the stridor-lite addons nurse, huntress and freddy have but we are out there
1. IMO, Spirit doesn't have a core issue. The issue with which I think is the issue people have with these so called problematic/boring killers is that survivors only want to play Ring Around The Pallet with every single killer or in other words survivors don't want to change there playstyle to counter a killer.
She doesn't give any information? Okay then why are you trying to loop her?
She can see scratch marks and can hear? But you can control what sounds to give her and you can control your scratch marks.

I hate the trend of them adding killers that are oppressive in the 1vs1 but struggle in the 1vs4
Because you can't have both.
Killers that excel in both 1v1 and 1v4 are seen as problematic. Killers that excel in the 1v4 complain about survivors being too strong. Killers that excel in the 1v1 are complained about because the chase didn't meet the survivors standards.

Killer
Third Seal: This perk enrages flashlight users because they don't know where there teammates are to get the save. And if survivors are blind and not paying attention when a teammate gets hooked. They'll roam around the map looking for their hooked teammate.

I have to agree to this. Increasing gen times will screw solo survivors over and make survivor even more boring.
Gen speed isn't the problem. The problem is that survivors don't have enough objective prior to gens.
I suggest that maybe at every 25% progressions on gens, the gen overheats and becomes too hot to interact with and survivors have to go to the shack to get a bottle of oil to pour in the gen to cool it off and progress to the next 25%.

You have no idea what makes a PVP game good if you think luck is a core component
You will never in your life find a fighting game (arguably the most competitive, pvp-oriented genre) where luck is a strong factor. At least, not a popular one. Tekken Revolution tried that with a critical hit system and the entire FGC threw that game in the dumpster on day 1.
I wasn't saying luck is the definition of PVP. I was saying that survivor used a tactic to outplay Spirit and when she did that tactic again Spirit outplayed her. That's the definition of PVP.

The problem is the lack of information.
I faced a Spirit yesterday that basically tunnelled me out of the game. I didn't have Iron Will which meant she had a lot of information on where I was after getting injured.
I did everything to attempt to counter her.
- I continued running
- Crouched
- Run one way, crouched and crawled the next
- Dropped a pallet early
- Vaulted a window then vault immediately back
Some times I got lucky, other times I didn't. Every single time she phased I literally guessed and prayed because there was nothing I could do. 4 thousand hours and all I can do is guess. It wouldn't be as annoying if I thought the Spirit was good or took a long time learning her but she didn't. This killer was 100% not a good Spirit but you don't need to be with Spirit.
The phasing bug was amazing and I was really disappointed when it was removed.
"The phasing bug was amazing and I was really disappointed when it was removed."
This bug made her brain dead boring to play against because it was too easy to track her which also defeated the purpose of her kit.
"Some times I got lucky, other times I didn't."
This is the definition of PVP, and one of the reason's why I firmly believe that complained about killer's are complained because survivor's don't always have the 51% adavntage in chases with these problematic killers
